I live a really busy life, my schedule barely permits a lunch most days, so for Xmas 2016 I did the typical overbooked, mismanaged city-dweller Christmas shopping.. on Christmas Eve. Spruce was open late and fully stocked. It was so busy, but the attentiveness of the employees was incredible. The buyers were there, attentive, kind and knowledgeable about every product they had. Truely passionate about what they do. In this store I found something for everyone. My 3 year old niece, my 26 year old sister, my 52 year old aunt and my 67 year old mother + father in law. I asked them to pack everything in a strange manner; in the order of the cities I was visiting / the groups of people who'd be receiving the gifts (this was way too specific for any level of packaging request but they happily obliged). Beautiful bags in lovely tissue, organized in one big bag by their final recipient. I didn't even have to wrap, nor unpack to determine who got what. Since that Xmas, I've been to the store many times. I have found my all time favorite 1970's fully operational flip clock there. I've found beautiful barware and amazing gifts for friends and colleagues. This store is the answer to your gift giving needs. I waited way too long to give this store a 5 star review. They mix fresh eclectic, vintage finds and new ideas in a cozy space in the best neighbourhood. They need more than 1 store. But like their products, this place is always full of surprises. Recently, they had a mobile pizza oven! Like, what Get yourself in this place. You will regret it if you don't.

I have never been in this store - I found Spruce Toronto by googling gift stores in Cabbage Town & this lovely store came up! I wanted to send a to a friend in that area so I emailed the store for a gift suggestion & Kim emailed me back promptly with links to a few suggestions. I placed my order quickly on line - and received email confirmation my order was placed. Very affordable. Kim placed the candle in a beautiful gift bag, red ribbon, & gift tag. As soon as the gift was delivered Kim emailed me. Excellent customer service. Thank you Kim.

Fabulous home decor shop with wonderfully curated products. Every year I purchase a spruce scented candle from there that burns for hours and smells like a "happy holiday" in a jar ♥️ I also love they vintage furniture/decor items, and their selection of books and kids toys (it's a terrific place to grab a unique birthday or house warming gift). Staff/owners are knowledgeable and friendly, and I love having an excuse to pop in.

Lovely store, Unique, carefully chosen gifts. Everything labelled, and all, seemingly locally made. I bought a glass decorated with a bicycle, for my son-in law who cycles. I bought a little pack of Scotch flavoured tooth picks for one of my sons.. The owners are charming; gift wrapping each item with care. This is their first Christmas. Hope they do well in 2014.

I am always thrilled by the selection and the ever evolving boutique! Kim and her team do an incredible job of keeping it fresh and new, even through these crazy time’s we’re living in. I love everything! especially the diversity books, home goods and of course that tomato candle!!

Spruce is an absolute gem. They always have lovely and unique housewares and gifts. I miss being able to shop there in person but they have done an amazing job during the pandemic closure of offering online shopping with curbside pick-up & delivery. Kim and her team are the best!

This is the place to buy an Ooni pizza oven! Kim is obviously an enthusiast herself, put up with my endless questions, and helped me choose the right oven for me. Her prices were a little lower than the bigger mailorder outlet I'd looked at, and she delivered personally for free!

Nice store, lots of very fine candles, hand cream and other cool gifts. Some fine art for sale. Nice wooden toys, rarity. Friendly staff, very helpful. We bought a Turkish cotton towel, incredibly smelling candle and a toque w/o a pom-pom:-).

Such a lovely store. They’re always well stocked with well made home goods. Great eye for cookbooks, tableware, and vintage furniture. The owners have a very sweet dog, Grapes. Everything I’ve bought at Spruce, I’ve loved.

Spruce carries beautifully curated gifts and home decor; service is always friendly. The shop is a delightful part of the Cabbagetown community and I always look forward to going in to see what lovely things they’ve found.

Got these goodies during our lockdown period and I have to say what a fantastic experience. From ordering right up to the delivery, the service was great and I will definitely order again. And the card was a bonus.
