It was a long time ago for me but I was there again from June 89 to December 90 after a less than happy experience with the Public School System.Leadership and Safety here compared to what I went through at North Adelaide Primary was second to none and as for my new teacher he was a world away from the crappy ones I had before. They were very obliging and kind to offer me a placement on very short notice under some rather difficult circumstances which I am thankful to my mother for although it did mean leaving my old mates behind in the process it was all for the best.I could list all the great stuff I got out of my time here but I would be here all day otherwise.I urge all of you who don't need the combined primary/secondary school system from the start and can delay putting them into some northern/north eastern area school till about YR 7 OR YR 8 to consider St Andrews. My Cousin went here from 1978 to the end of 1981 and a fellow classmate of mine had a brother here for most of the eighties.
It is with sadness that we say goodbye to St Andrew's School this year after a 13 year association. Our children have had an excellent education and they have developed many values that we hope will stand them in good stead for the future. I am a big fan of St Andrew's School and the wonderful community of parents, teachers, students and friends. I have no hesitation in recommending St Andrew's School.
I am an old scholar of this school and I am truly appalled. The new principal has favourites and we could clearly see her sketchy personality ever since she settled in. Feel lucky I wasnt in the epicentre of the drama. But please, if you are planning to send your child to this school, please mind the principal because she clearly does not know how to run a school.
The teachers don't care about my daughter. They refused to help her to heat up the food using staff microwave , told her to eat cold food because "she wasn't supposed to bring it". I wished they help her anyway and told her that don't bring it next time. My daughter could not eat cold food and went home starving. These people they just DON'T CARE!
I wish there was authority I could report this school. When i decided to change school for my daughter, Teacher asked my daughter "TIME OUT" because she didn't eat her lunch! I reported to principal, surprisingly she was shouted at me. Very unfortunate experience! Don't send your child to this school!
As a new parent to this school I just wanted to highlight and give my praise for the amazing gardens at St Andrew’s. Coming from overseas it is so nice to be surrounded with so many lovely green spaces.
Pretty fantastic IB school, which teaches leadership and working together well. I wish they didn't change the uniform, though. The summer skirt feels a bit like cardboard.
St Andrew's is a great school, during my time here the staff and students have been nothing but positive and supportive. I Would strongly reccomend this school.
No, bad school but the teachers in the older years are nicer like the year 4 teacher. my fav year was year 4 tbh......
Morning and Afternoon Parking is a worry. Also Becomes Congested during these hours for Daily Driver.
I went to St Andrew’s from ELC to year 4, some of the best years of my life were at that school.
this school has everything you would expect but the problem is that parking spots are scarce
