I remember in 2016 some of the paramedic science department was supposed to come to our college but never did and never gave a response to my teacher whether they are running late. There were 30 people waiting and we waited for a good hour until it was cancelled because you never responded. i also had an interview and the interview was great and all but a lotof the interviewees I saw was from the foundation programme of the paramedic science and was still in there first year of univeristy (I know because I follow most of them via twitter, facebook, linkedin etc) . They should have hired experts to interview us for the MMI, but not sure why they have done this. After the interview, they gave us a tour of the departments for paramedic science. They looked great and I felt it would be the place to study in since they rooms were very bright and new compared to many of universities. However the students have dissapointed me with their knowledge and could not even say whether it was a laryngeal mask or the laryngoscope etc including about the human anatomy and physiology. I also remember a student from paramedic science from this university who was supposed to give an introduction about what paramedic is in our college, however she was eating a burger and no one wanted to approach her because she was eating. Very unprofessional. Yes, you guys have many links with many other hospitals which is great, but I did not appreciate the professionalism you showed from a person eating a burger to hiring first years within the programme give questions to students and rate them . I much preferred someone who has been in the paramedic scene for a good time unlike someone who just started their course and/or someone who has alot of experience in marking the MMI too. Also a group discussion MMI is better then this independent rubbish MMI you do. I do not know why exactly why you have done this but paramedic works within a team. You do not separate them and ask questions to each student since it does not show any form of bonding with each student. And finally, you take onboard ( give conditional offers) to students that do not even have a provisional driving license yet and end up not going to the university because they haven't got there driving license. I see time and time again for the past 3 years you guys are in clearing. Yes you take the best of the rest, however you have failed to pick the best students with a driving license. Think about it, some of the interviews were during February to march. Do you think its possible to get a driving license from march to august? Yes it could be possible because I have passed within a 4 months time span (after i passed the theory) however it is VERY VERY UNLIKELY for someone to get a provisional license, pass theory (because they could fail and need to redo which will take another 2 weeks to a month) and driving.
AVOID this university if you come from a poor background, but if you’re rich or middle class this is the right place for you as you won’t even have to study, please keep reading if you’d like to know why. I applied to this uni after doing a bit of research online with much hope and optimism, however it didn’t take long for me lose all hope. Shortly after beginning the course I find out that some of the initial information provided by the staff and on their website were actually incorrect, as a result of this I had to get a full time job to be able to support myself and this affected my studies greatly. In this uni you can buy anything; help from the staff, guidance on how to score 100%, the answers to course assessments, essays and even the exam questions. As this wasn’t an option for me I started falling behind from the beginning. I went from an A* student to barely passing any exams, at the same time many of the students from the same year were doing so much better by buying the questions and the necessary help and guidance. I approached the staff about this issue but they didn’t really pay much attention. Throughout the course whenever I contacted the staff for some help or support I found them to be uncaring and unhelpful and at some instances even willingly trying to make my situation worse. Remember that I’m already paying £9000 for this course but I have a much lower chance of succeeding due to not being able to buy answers and having to work to keep a roof over my head. For this price, the service should be much better, people must not be able to basically buy their way through course and your bank balance should not dictate your final grade.
I am really unhappy with this school. They have a franchise out in Cyprus and the programme is full of corruption and lack of oversight from Saint George. I spent tons of money for a degree that has no recognition in the United States, but that's not only the reason for my frustration. The registry and staff in the Cyprus location will not offer feedback on the degrees and when they will be mailed out and continuously refer students back to SGUL whereas SGUL appears to ignore all requests from Cyprus students regarding inquiries to the degrees that should have been mailed out already. This programme seeks to trap international students and have us repeat years over minor things and fails to respond to our questions or concerns. I hate this institution for its despicable treatment of the students who were well intentioned and wanted to make a career of medicine.
This medical school disgraces the field of medicine. Not only do they engage in the disgraceful practice of outsourcing - which would be bad in and of itself -, but they also refuse to negotiate with the striking workers, who have been on the picket line for 8 months now. The outsourced guards are not provided with sick pay - which means that they have to get back to work WHILE STILL ILL, thereby endangering the health of the entire community in this MEDICAL school. When I attended the open day and asked the lecturer about this, his flippant response made it clear to me that this university only values the people that study in it when they can get money from them. It really is absolutely disgraceful that a medical school would do this, I am not going to study here unless this is resolved - and I suggest you don't, either!
Very unprofessional when it comes to hiring. Attended interview but haven't heard from them since then. I guess my application was unsuccessful. Just for you information, it is a common practice to notify your interviewees about the outcome, so they can carry on. It is even better if you can provide some brief feedback on the failure points to make it possible to improve in the future. All applicants contribute their own time to your hiring process and they would like to hear from you in return. I hope you will find this information useful.
The way they handle student complaints is absolutely preposterous. The staff is useless when it comes to teaching, the student adviser dan is a coward that kisses up to the doctors. The placement mentors/ radiographer are up tight arrogant pigs that bully vulnerable students who are too afraid to speak up. They get threatened with future unemployment when students question their way of working and call out the people in charge. If I could I would shut this place down. These people Are the reason our kids are getting depressed and hopeless.
The basic staff aren't nice or welcoming at all. The urgent treatment centre has nonchalant and abrupt staff. Customer services isn't of a decent standard at all. I think croydon is terrible but this was another level of rude. Beyond a joke. All the staff speak with no concern or empathy at all and their dealing with ppl with pain and difficulties. I will NOT BE RETURNING HERE AGAIN. Thanks for that experience. That was enough for me.
It's not as busy today. However the car park is always full. If you wait around then may find a space. The good thing is you get 15 minutes free. So what can be done is go out and came back in to get another 15 minutes until you get parking. If it is going to be a long wait, then go to Sava center couple of miles away and walk around Merton Abbey Mills for a bite to eat and drink.
Loving the experience there so far. I am on the MSc in Sports Cardiology part-time. Perfect location surrounded by the diversity of different ethnicities. The culture, shops, market and more so the medical school have been around for a few centuries. The university has everything for medical students who could dream of and realising their dreams ⚡
Had the privilege of having to visit the Critical Care Unit in Atkinson Morley Wing, due to a family member having a heart attack. The unit was busy, but the staff was keen to help support me and keep me informed of the process of care and treatment needed. The ward was very clean, and tidy. And very peaceful.
Excellent a couple of shops including Marks and Spencer for food, Whistle stop and a couple of cafes.. toilets near the entrance and bus 264, 493 or G1 go to the hospital. just off Fountain road are local shop and a chip shop. Also a restaurant on the 1st floor. Other bus stops close by include 44 or 77..
St Geroges University displays an extremely unprofessional and disrespectful attitude. The level of misinformation and manner of communication is sub standard to say the least. No respect or level of profesionalism shown at all here. Avoid at all costs.
Absolutely discusseded my Daughter was booked to have Gastric balloon out today, she was in the theatre had a Cannula in her arm oxygen up her nose and then they tell her they haven't got the right instrument to take it out, and will have
I visited st. George's a number of times for various issues over the years. And I'm constantly impressed by the staff and the quality of service it has excellent doctors and excellent facilities for anyone actually visiting the hospital.
Top drawer university hospital. My treatment here was second to none. Caring, polite professional staff who always went an extra ten miles to make sure everything was done properly. A marvellous experience.

One of your staff Becky is rude and has very poor customer service she should learn what being humble is.
