I used to be a student at St Joseph's Kingswood. My overall experience with the school was great apart from a few problems with friends and some teachers. It is disappointing to see that many of the schools greatest teachers including the old principal and deputy principal have left the school. The recent renovations made to the school including the new office, library, and nature play areas have made the school much more fun and interesting to learn and play in. The school provides great resources for learning and trying new things. The canteen provides a wide range of different foods. They may not all be very healthy but they are all delicious. The school has a bunch of activities you can participate in that are run by volunteers and teachers. Some of the activities you can participate in are school netball, The Band, After school soccer and much more. I participated in both school netball and the school band and I very much enjoyed both. The school takes students from years 3-6 on amazing camps. My favourite camp by far was year 6 camp to Kangaroo Island. I had an amazing time. These camps are not only really fun and enjoyable but they are educational and informative. You learn many new things in fun ways. I had an awesome time at St Joseph's Kingswood and hope that many other students do to.
I'm going to be honest, it's not a great school. It's far from terrible and it's clear that it tries, but it fails in so many ways. Some of the teachers are... subpar... but others are very good at their job. The administration is useless. On a final note, religion has no place in an educational environment.
We just love this small school! Teachers are lovely and parents are so friendly. Staff members are also so lovely! I think true follower of St Mary MacKillop. They teach lovely catholic songs from Andrew Chinn so our kid sings catholic songs all the time!
A wonderful, community rich school with great teachers and leadership. Its a small school so you need to be looking for that, but for us it has been the perfect place for our children who suit a smaller, more community involved, more personalised school.
I never really liked this school, especially after the got rid of my favourite teacher. After that the school went downhill. I hate this school. Oh and mrs Higgins is horrible and she hates kids!
I went to St Joseph’s from reception to year six, with 2021 being my final year. Great school, Mr Bratt and Mr Connor are the best teachers ever. The sports days are rigged though.
