As others have said, it is a nice library. And quiet too. Until school gets out. When I was there, there were about five parents all lounging about in the kids' area, engrossed in their phones while their kids ran around screaming. The library is one open space. It was too painfully loud to concentrate on anything, even with earplugs. After an hour of it, I had to leave. I won't be back.
I love this library in walking distance( on the way back, you can shop at the Avenue Coles). The library system can help you grt books reserved online and pick it up when they arrive. And when you check them out, you can use the RFID device just put them on the table, then it’s done! BTW, I don’t read a lot in the library, enjoying reading at home.
It is very helpful for tourist. I did my documents verify today because I have to work from Monday to Friday. They have service on Saturday. And also if u want to scan or copy something here, u may just ask for help from information desk. Staff there is friendly and helpful I am so glad I finished everything in 15 mins.
Located in a beautiful Art Deco building.. Huge and spacious with a touch of modern interiors blended beautifully with the old interiors maintained awesomely. Peaceful, quiet reading areas and yes.. Great coffee machine. Wish there was an exclusive study area with provision to plug in your laptops.
Other libraries like Campbelltown, Tea Tree and Marion all have some days open until 7pm or 8pm. Even the library far away in Hallet Cove has a day open to 7 pm. Norwood council please consider extending the business hours as you have many well educated residents here and we love reading!
A very good place to spend some free time reading books and coffee. A variety of activities for the children too. All the staff are very friendly and supportive. The only drawback is that it is not spacious enough compared to some other libraries.
Little disappointed. Drove from country to see Norwood F. C exhibition ariving 2pm on last day of month to be told no entry.,exhibition closed for dismantling. Staff member a little abrupt considering advertised opening hours concluded 5pm
Lovely library. It has two stories - level 1 has a free coffee machine and has places where people sit and study or work. Ground floor has colouring and other activities for kids. Great atmosphere and friendly librarians!
Quiet, good selection of books and places to sit. Helpful staff. Clean public restroom. Upstairs has free water fountain and hot drinks dispenser. Winning combination for school holidays morning.
amazing library but i seriously don’t understand why they would close at 1pm on wednesdays. it doesn’t make sense to me. other than that it’s probably the best library i have been in adelaide
Clean library and toilets. Friendly and helpful staff. Library users actually wear their masks! Great Art Deco decor. My favourite library in Adelaide.
Little library but has a section for the kids to play and spend time. The building is a heritage building which is very fascinating to walk around
Couldn’t do any work due to kids screaming and running about for 30 minutes. Good to bring kids but defeats the whole purpose of a library
Free coffee and warm drinks Perfect for cold weather And both soothing and calming during studying and reading
Great atmosphere, but they could use more study spaces and slightly more ergonomic tables and chairs. …
A fairly small library but you can access books from all over state and collect here.
Great library. Free tea and coffee and old library books sold for 50c-$1.
Great selection and great service at the front desk by the Asian lady.
Love the interior of the space, not many people go so it's quiet!
Storytelling was great for my little granddaughter
Just a quick visit but always good
