My visit to this bagel shop had its ups and downs. Everything was ok, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, I observed a concerning practice – the employee didn't change gloves after completing orders. This lapse in hygiene left me a bit uneasy, affecting my overall impression of the establishment.

Being from Montreal, I always go out of my way to bring bagels back to Hamilton. This place does not disappoint. Staff could be friendlier but are probably tired of the ex Montrealers ordering multiple dozens of poppy and sesame seed bagels. Yum

Used to be very quality of bagels in Canada. But sadly it's going down. The sizes are very irregular and can't slice it in two pieces. So we can't put cream cheese between that. But the store in Montreal is good. I am a customer of st.viateur bagels almost 35 years. So the owner needs to focus on the production location.

This place is not even authentic. They make their bagels with gas and when I asked if this is wood burning oven the gentleman said yes. When I looked carefully they only put a couple pieces of wood to fool their customers yet inside a they have burners. This is some next level fraud. I took 6 bagels and only ate one bite. Rest went to garbage. That is because I grew up around bagels and I know what an authentic MontrÈal bagel is. Their east side location still good. But this one in the West Island is eww

Great Bagels. Reason for a 2 star But worsr costmer services. I called in at 255 to per order fresh orange juice so I can pick up at 730 am ( I rather have it ready while I get my bagles) after being on hold 3x for over 15 mins the guy told me that side closes at 3.... Now I was for 15 min just to find out that that side closed at 3 (keep mind I was on hold for 15min ) When I asked the guy how come u didn't know they close at 3 and leave me on hold. His response we don't work together!!!!

Friendly staff, the bagels are very good with a good selection. You can even get a prepared bagel with cream cheese or an egg if you want to eat in the spot. It's clean, quick and the staff are nice.

This location is a favourite to get our fix of authentic Montreal style bagels when we visit. It’s really really fun to get hot out of the oven fresh bagels. They are so good. The inside has a lot of space with some seating. I haven’t tried the sandwiches or other food but am guessing they’d be good as well. Definitely recommend any bagel from here!

We all know these are the BEST bagels in the WORLD so let's talk store and staff! Staff is always friendly wether at the bagel counter or café. Good variety for a quick sit down and prices are reasonable. The store offers different packaged foods which once in a while is nice for a treat or to try something new. The new merch is nice too but personally I wish we could see the mascot more often!!!

A must for visitors before you leave. Bring a few bags home for family and friends. They are constantly making fresh bagels, so generally you can always get a warm batch. This location has a sandwich area and the Bagel and Lox (salmon) is a solid choice. The cheese bagel is actually my favourite but the standard seame bagel is the most popular. Great convenient location just off the highway.

Had to make a stop on our way back to Ottawa as we've heard of these famous bagels! We grabbed sandwiches for lunch and they were delicious. Also grabbed bagels to bring home. Since Ottawa has Montreal-style bagels, this didn't feel like a revolutionary concept but it was still pretty good and maybe a little bit lighter of a bagel than what we're used to from Kettleman's in Ottawa.

BUYER BEWARE. Not sure what's been going on the past year or so. The bagel quality is very inconsistent. Too thin. Hole too wide. CHECK BEFORE YOU BUY. I've been a St. Viateur enthusiast for my whole life but will be looking at alternatives now.

Always delicious- 6 Raisin/cinamon bagels go for $6.50 and the 12 sesame bagels are $10.50 (no bakers dozen here - meaning no extra free warm bagel tossed in the bag to savour ASAP). They limit 4 patrons to buy bagels. The café side is open with physical distancing, 2 bathrooms are open and they have some picnic tables outside. There is parking about 5-12 spots.

I’m from out of town, and it was my first time here. We bought the all dressed bagels and rosemary and sea salt. They were still and warm and smelled delicious! They tasted so good. We also ordered the BTL sandwich and Le “Joe Bagel”. Both were amazing! They also make a good latte. I’m definitely making a pit stop here next time I’m in Montreal! It’s a must try!

My favorite Montreal bagels, at an outpost close to home. I can't tell any difference from the original! Pickup bagels and pastries (large) -as well as frozen pizza, ice cream, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, local honey, jams, tapenade, cookies etc. - or the cafe has a solid menu of prepared bagel sandwiches, espresso and Italian sodas etc. Plenty of parking.

Best bagels in the world, always fresh and quick. Reasonable prices and a nice cafe on site where you can get a sandwich & beverages.

Just bought some yesterday and was told we have to give a tip to use the machine??? I now have to pay to get served at a pick up counter? Also bagels have shrinked in size dramatically!!! See my pic attached.... Not happy

St. Viatuer bagels are probably the best bagels in town, famously enriched bagels with staff that know their bagels, always serving up the freshest batch. And great prices that won't hurt either. Absolutely loved St. Viateur's!! Recommend to everyone who visits Montréal and appreciates a nicely seasoned and flavored bagel.☺️☺️

  • Maitrayiee

Fresh and delicious bagels. The BLT and salmon bagels were top class! Loved the orange slices served with our order, very refreshing! The barista was nice enough to make a flat white for me even though it wasn’t on the menu. $25 for 2 breakfast bagels is kind of steep and the only reason I removed a star.

  • Ali Sheikh

Amazing hot fresh bagels! This is a place to grab bagels if you are in the area. They also have a nice seating area if you want to simply sit there and eat and have coffee. Absolutely loved the smoked salmon bagel and capers. I think it was a bit pricey and that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

  • Frank Dusett

Quaint shop and an excellent place to grab a bite to eat! Had a couple of their bagle sandwiches for breakfasts while in the area, and they were great. First thing you'll see when walking in, in the morning, is a team preparing the bagles fresh and in-view.

  • Rayan Gazlye

Best bagels ever! I mean, you could literally eat 12 of them without feeling sick. When I’m the area, I can’t resist the little detour just to grab 2 or 3 bagels with cream cheese. The staff is friendly, helpful and always happy. Good job!

  • Olivier Ganeff

Went this morning and got 2 dozen bagels. Not 1 of them hot and fresh. All of them cold and hard like they were made yesterday. Don't know what they're doing over there this morning but it's not making fresh bagels. Total disappointment.

  • Laura Willis

The best Montréal bagels. We have been known to make trips just for St-Viateur! Service was short the last time we were here, but I have nothing against efficiency. The bagels are top-notch and (in my opinion) the best you will find.

  • Marc-Antoine Rollet

Bro the smoked salmon bagel is on a whole other level . I feel empty since I've taken that last precious bite of epic deliciousness. Quite possibly the best bagel I've ever had in my entire life. We'll be back soon for sure! Cheers.

  • Ryan Vande Vooren

While visiting Montreal I was told to try these bagels. Let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly and the bagel sandwiches were so yummy! I will definitely be back on my next visit to Montreal.

  • Angad D Singh

Fresh smell of bagels! You can see them baking fresh bagels right in front of you and they taste good. I made a really short stop at the shop before heading back home but I would definitely be back soon for more bagels. …

  • Mad Max

Love this place.. delicious and fresh choice of bagel, impressive food menu and a smooth service. Parking is always available and the coffee is pretty good. I would just rethink about charging 75 cents for a small jam

  • Alex Babar

Honestly, it’s as good as everyone says it is. We got the matin without meat and the traditional. As you can see in the pictures we basically just inhaled it. Good location in the West Island. 10000% recommend

  • Pamela Martel

These bagels are the best bagels I have ever eaten. The space was clean and you could see the bagels being made right in front of you. I will definitely return even though it's a 3 hour drive from my house.

  • Alexandra Gottlieb

They always have hot fresh bagels. I've never been here where there has not been hot bagels available highly recommend .. There's nothing better than a hot fresh bagel

  • J Mikhael

Clean place . Delicious bagel . Can get coffee & tea . Can so get pizza??. No outdoor seating . Spacious indoor seating . Moderate prices . Pleasant emoyees .

  • Mahsa A

Delicious and fresh. We picked up a dozen bagels fresh from the wood burning oven on our way back to Toronto. Also got ourselves sandwiches for our drive.

  • Malik Somani

Best Bagels in the entire North America! If you are visiting Montreal, this one place you may want to try for your memory and taste buds to remember!

  • Theresa Beaver

Shout out to owner at DDO St Viateur! The bagels are amazing and the customer service fantastic! I bought 10 dozen bagels to take home to Edmonton!

  • Roman Bl

Delicious bagels and friendly staff, was a great place to stop by on our way. They have parking and restrooms too. Definitely recommended!

  • kindgom saves

There dozen costs 5$ more then other bagel shops. Also the bagels got smaller and not the same quality. Lots of better choices out there.

  • Paul Kim

The bagels were good. Honestly do not know what all the hype is about. They were a little bland. You definitely need the cream cheese

  • Jasmin R.

The best bagel in town. Grew up next to it. And now that I live in Toronto, I still pass by to pick up some bagels when I’m in town

  • Sharlene McKinnon

Love this place. Even when there's a line up it moves super fast. The one quirk is that they only have croissants on Fridays.

  • Joan Ford

These are the best bagels in the world!! Hand made the old fashioned way, still warm from the oven, they are perfection.

  • Rachelle Bañuelos

It’s good bagel. Had the apple maple I believe and then a plain sesame seed very crispy and thin. Really like it

  • Ashley

Convenient location in the West Island. Basically the same as downtown, but they have a sandwhich counter too!
