This use to be such a nice welcoming church. I got married at St Fraces de Chantale to my High School Sweetheart in 2002 with Father Eppie. Father Eppie was a true father to us, a man of God, and when he left he was very missed. I also baptized my daughter and was Godmother of three children at this church. I was very involved, as well as the rest of my family. Unfortunately, since then I discovered that the pastor that babtized my child Peter Miqueli was a thief and a fraud and decided to leave the church. I was told today Tues January 30,2018 by Pastor John J. Graham that he was fired three years ago and was relieved to know. However Pastor John J. Graham was not welcoming at all to me, my Sister in Law, and her 4month old baby. I went with them to re-activate myself to the church and also ask for information to Babtise my 4 month old nephew. He was intimidating to us and had an attitude throughout our entire conversation. What I thought was going to be a pleasant Conversation, instead I felt we were being interrogated with our involvement in church attendance and financial contributions to St Fances de Chantal. I was very sad in leaving his office and the church I ones called home.
My name is Noreen Sheehan Maloney and my father David Sheehan passed away on May 3, 2018.Father Iddamalgoda was the priest assigned to pray over my father. He was a disgrace. He talked about a sick woman by name at the wake we do not know, referred to my father as she, did not read from the information the church made us provide for the mass and decided to exclude family members names we provided. When I called the church today to explain what had happened the secretary told me she had nothing to do with it and there was nothing they could do. She made it clear she and the church did not care. We had to pay a fee for this service which was a mockery with the priest not making sense and laughing on the alter on several occasions throughout the mass. My father who is a Vietnam vet, wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, and uncle deserved better. The parish of st Francis should be ashamed of themselves. No wonder why parishioners are leaving the Catholic Church.
This used to be such a nice parish. Then a new pastor, Fr. Peter Miqueli came. He is the most rude, arrogant, obnoxious, lying priest I have ever seen! He steals money, insults people, does not want to be here, and could care less for the well being of the parish. Everything out of his mouth is a blatant lie and if he thinks people believe him, he is dead wrong. He does not want to pay for anything, especially does not care about his employees, and shows the least interest in the parish school. The fact that he is still the head of this parish is a sick joke. Please, if you are still part of St. Frances at this time, help us to free ourselves from this tyrant. Stop putting money in the collection. Go to St. Benedict's instead. Write a letter to Cardinal Dolan and East Bronx Vicar, Msgr. Graham. Together we can save our parish.

This is a comfortable church to attend, plenty of parking and modern setting. The pastor, priest and staff are friendly and true servants of God. I have sensed the spirit of the almighty, within them and they are dedicated indeed. This is a church which is worth attending and bringing your family to, for spiritual guidance and for the proper worship of God.
Monsignor Graham is very rude and obnoxious. I called to inquire about baptizing my 4yr old. He told me I just missed a group getting baptized and I would have to wait until next year. I have never heard of such thing. Since when do churches do yearly baptizing. She goes to the school and has religion everyday.
Es un sitio de oración y paz. Reconforta el hablar con Dios nuestro Padre.
