Saint Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church is valued for its age, religious history and Greek Revival architecture. Built in 1863 as a Union church it served numerous congregations including Anglican, Presbyterian and Lutheran. Although many Union churches in the municipality were later taken down in favour of building new and larger churches or modified by significant extensions, the Middle Cornwall Lutheran congregation continues to hold service in the relatively unaltered church, which is one of the oldest in the area. The Greek Revival style of the church is found throughout the municipality; however, the absence of Gothic Revival elements such as arched windows and its relatively unaltered exterior make the church unique for the area.

Even though it wasn't open I went here late at night to pray quite often when I lived in San Francisco. I lived a block and a half away at the heartland hotel and the whole hotel was demonically possessed so I made it a habit to come there quite often at night to pray because I felt safer there.

St. Marks is an incredible community. They are comprised of a compassionate and generous staff and clergy. I needed to have a service during the pandemic for my children’s father. Everything was perfect and was a truly healing experience. A special shout out to Pastor Elizabeth …

Wonderful for a Bach concert. Also, Z I tried a photo when I left it was dark, when a dark spirit blocked my camera and turned to a bright turquoise orb that flew into the belfry, it stopped and turned to almost make sure I saw it then went in.Definitely a spiritual place.

I haven't attended church services at St. Mark's Lutheran, only several classical music concerts ranging from choral groups to medium-sized orchestras. I must say that the acoustics inside the sanctuary are among the best in the city.

Very loving inclusive community. Sermons are interesting and impart wisdom with practical examples of how to live with others in peace and joy.
