Greatest outdoor show! The variety of things you can do, and all the food you can eat. There is something for everyone. Rodeo - you can get standing room tickets for $18, but can only purchase on the grounds. For standing room, try to avoid a hot day as there is no shade at all down there. You can get tickets in the covered area (price ranges). We got our tickets for around $70. Nashville North - Try to go just before the rodeo gets out, to avoid the rush and lineup. Although the lineups are not as bad as they used to be. The space is quite large now, with a couple of food trucks and ATCO bathrooms. You can get spicy cheesy fries, which are quite good after a few drinks. Food I tried this year: Colossal onion - it’s pretty tasty, but actually quite large, and probably meant to be shared between 4+ people. Definitely worth trying once. Mini donuts - a classic! Got them from “those little donuts” truck, and found they were not as fluffy as some other places. Would get them somewhere else. Fried Oreo - very good, would get them again! Poutine - The poutine truck by the BBQ row is the best. The fries are thick, the cheese is melty, and the gravy is good!

Five stars to the organization of this amazing summer fair! Lots of activities and fun stuff to do here! And neat eats! Fun place to visit! Families, try to visit in the early hours of the morning as it gets too busy and crowded if you have small children. I’m giving 1 star to the terrible customer service of some workers ,specially the young people who couldn’t care less and have no common sense on how to assist visitors in need. For years I have visited and we had a one time incident where a person was unable to keep walking and they wouldn’t even try to provide a wheelchair when we needed one. they keep showing us where to go to but wouldn’t try to help us out (three people in a row)Instead I had to go all around the park trying to find the place where they could rent one. This year I was with a screaming child and offered my ID to be able to go inside the bathrooms in the grand stand show, again the two young people were not helpful at all! They sent m across to find the other washrooms. I find that the older workers and manages are super helpful and will try to assist you but the young ones don’t really care.

To be honest the stampede is the same year over year there is no creative or innovation to provide us with different experiences. The food inside become more and more expensive now on average it’s $20-$30 each food not like before it’s below $20 sometime below $10. It’s no longer like before. The rides are the same and plus there is lots crowd with limited seating available so we have to walk and eating the food at the same time. Parking is limited too and parking fee is super high if you don’t want to drive transit is crowded as well plus this year the C-Train is under construction so there is a lot of congestion near the station. Now the owner of Calgary Stampede is pursuing profit more than providing attendants better experience. Obviously they don’t want to invest into maintenance or getting some unique equipment or rides for us to experience. Very disappointed. I still remember before Covid we love go stampede every year now as a Calgarian we already feel bored about stampede

Bought the super pass before the event started as sales end at the time. You can go everyday for only $40. Well worth it as one day pass is $18/per day. Check out the bull riding beer tent. Lots of Fair rides and games. Shopping, different music shows and Stampede events. You can also check out the Horses, Cows, Llamas and Alpacas too. Lots of exhibits and don't forget to watch the fireworks every night at 11 pm for all 10 days of the stampede. ‍ They also have free admission hours during about three days of the event so check out the stampede online website for more info. Also a free outdoor show marching/dancing band that often plays thriller and other popular hits. Super fun to wear your Coboy hat and boots!

Very crowded yesterday but to be expected as it was free admission! Lots of fun but the food at some of the food trucks were terrible (it was $13 for a plain burger, $6 for a kids hotdog and $5 for a small coke) other places were good and the mini donuts were delicious. Only other complaint is that the agricultural building felt very squished even with it being a large building. A lot of the areas were empty and then there were two short rows for the breeds of horses that was cramped pack with people. They should make it more flowing so that there is enough space for people to enjoy learning about the different breeds without everyone feeling like you are in a closed box. Besides that I highly recommend the Stampede and love going every year!

I’ve gone every year since childhood and i’m sadly maybe considering not going for the first time next year. It is in need of some upgrades as it feels like it just gets busier and more expensive, but with less variety of food/ride options and on some days, no room to even walk around the park which really hinders on the experience. Games used to be $5/play which is now $10/play, yes inflation is a factor but its simply just starting to become just out of reach for an average person to go and enjoy lots of things the grounds might have to offer in my opinion

Went down for monster jam and had to wait a total of 45 minutes to pay for parking and to park. To boot we had to park far north of the saddle dome because all the other parking was full. We missed 20 minutes of monster jam because of this. They had way to many events at the grounds and did not care about where people had to park. They didn’t even offer a shuttle from our parking spot back down to the grounds, so that was a 20 minute walk as well. We left early giving ourselves plenty of time but we weren’t expecting this type of a wait.

The Calgary Stampede Park is a world famous gathering place. It hosts a number of activities around year for the Exhibitors to show and sale their products, it also hold entertainment functions, and family holiday parties and shows. It has got excellent facilities coupled with Global Experience Services trained manpower. It is suggested that everyone should visit and see the warmest of Western Haritsge culture of Calgary Stampede. Best of luck to everyone.

Stampede Park for Calgary Stampede of course. Second time going and I would go every year if I could. They brought agriculture this year 2018 Something new is always refreshing. That was new for me this year. I love farming #CountryGirl. So much to see, so much to eat of course (I didn’t have a turkey leg in 2016 but I made sure I bought one this time around. Was so filling I had to share) and lots of fun on the rides, the music, I could go on...

One of the greatest outdoor shows on earth. What can I say? But if you are coming from outside of Calgary, you should go to Banff first and have fun for 2,3 days and come to Calgary in stampede on the first day, enjoy the parade and cultural showing, attend the concert if you are into that, and you can visit the downtown. I personally find Sait residence for me while I am staying in Calgary for a room. That's all I have fun.

Overrated crowded human zoo, filled to the brim with tourist traps and glorified deep fried trashy NA unhealthy foods , the entertainement is just a time sink , everything remotely worth watching that is also a time sink\umemorable time killer required tickets or lining up hours ahead of time, only good thing is the line up of free artists for music, even then they could of picked better local artists

  • Huw Jones

As they say, Greatest show on earth. Something to see and do for everyone. The rodeos are fast paced and events change fast so don't slip out to get some pulled pork or you may miss something exciting. But do get some pulled pork though. Fabulous . Best tip is to use the transit. Just park and ride. So convenient and alloemws for some adult beverages to be tried. Ie stampede whiskey. A new favorite

Excellent place to visit during stampede show. Full of activities including stampede races. There will be plenty of foods and drinks. There are music concerts and a lot of entertainment for kids. You can meet people too during stampede which takes place in July once a year. You may want to have cowboy boots, hats and jeans. There's fireworks every night around 11pm during that time.

  • Tuck Soon

This is held every year during the first week of July Friday for ten days called the calgary stampede. Held at the stampede park with rodeo chuck wagon rally and mid way rides and mid way special food. Every one is encouraged to wear western attire and cowboy boots. Lots of rope and line dancing are available for any one to dance.

  • Cynthia Clark

There is no management or control of the parking and movement of people and vehicles while construction is ongoing. It isn't safe. Especially when some patrons had a bit to drink at the event. I'm hoping they can come up with a more organized process. It will avoid frustrated drivers and possible accidents.

  • KK Kay Kissay

This is what we call fun. Food, drinks, shows and music, all in one deal. Canadian soldiers from Navy, Air Force and Ground Military helped to understand that how military vehicle works. Country music and bike stunts were awesome. I guess, I am coming every year. It was a Texas experience in Calgary.

  • Ophelia Vecchione

As a Calgarian who used to not care about the Stampede very much, I must say I have come to love it now. I appreciate everything this city has to bring now. This is one of the best events in the worl, definitely worthy to be on anyones bucket list. Just be aware of the prices you might run into ;)

  • Murielle Maurice

I am sad that the Cococola stage is where it is now- too much concrete & not enough grass/green like before. Interesting how the food is all in one place; games all one place; rides all one place etc. I must say I’ve never seen the grounds look so clean during stampede!

  • Winnie Guo

Maybe it was just really hot and I was really tired, but I honestly felt like stampede is slightly overrated and pretty much the same as other carnivals (such as KDays). They did have a bunch of animals and farming/alberta specific expos which made it more unique!

  • rominacaibigan

Such a huge place to go bonding with family. There are lots of attractions that can be enjoyed by kids, teens and adults as well. There is agriculture section with lots of farm animals and horses. Food stalls are available everywhere. Highly recommended!

  • Anne Martin

Food vendors are super rude and super expensive! Ticket agents are 0 training dont even know anything don't bother asking anything coz they will make it even problematic... instead them sitting there make it all self help automatic robots are better!

  • Matthew Bird

Market was a waste of time, the art work is beautiful but only the 1% can buy it, games are $10 each play, a small poutine is $15 and a icecream cone plain is $8. It's an absolute waste of money. Gotta be rich these days to enjoy the simple things

  • Jan Smith

Great facilities at this park. I attended during the 2022 Stampede. Grounds were maintained and clean. Restrooms also were kept clean. Super selection of kid's activities...very impressive. Not nearly enough shady outside places to sit though!

  • ALEJANDRO GUILLEN

Wow, I loved it was amazing, my first time at the Stampede, the rodeo show was super I strongly recommend to go at least one time in your life, the Calgariens are really nice people and put all their energy on the event so it worth it to go.

  • Jim Maddocks

Truly a frustrating venue. Zero parking management, traffic is brutal with constant train holds, insufficient event parking, parking ticket booth lineups for miles - this could be done so much better with some thought and event management.

  • Jonathan Dardon

Our family loves going to Stampede. Every year we go to Stampede and look at the events and fun things to see. We love the concerts and all the exhibits there are to do, as well as interactive things for kids to do. Highly recommended.

  • Shannon Hunter

My concert history is sparse and limited to the dome, so I have no comparative reference. People say it's a terrible venue, but if you never go anywhere else, I think it's fairly decent, lol. Even with the sticky floors.

  • E v e

It was alright. Lots of vomit puddles on the ground, very fun atmosphere of course. Definitely a fair share of drunkards and some very loud people. Go with a group, and avoid eating too much. Your wallet will cry.

  • mmewow

Fun day. You need to look for ways to save money: free admission, stampede bucks, etc. Food is now more expensive and not great quality. Go early to the dog show. The wine garden is always a nice place to relax.

  • Jasmine

Came here for the rodeo and had the best time. There was a fair that had so much to do and such fun fair food. If you've never come for a rodeo before, this is a great way to get introduced to a rodeo.

  • YT12ish

Arrived at park early. Was ushered to lineup for free coffee and muffins!! So welcoming!! Then enjoyed a day of rides, games, exhibits, eating g great and some unusual foods. The Stampede is amazing.

  • vintagepimpage 604

Love going to see the hitmen at the saddle dome , 6 dollar beers and burgers mixed with cheap lower bowl seats ...not sure why people even bother with flames games at ten times the price !

  • Terry Welch

You really need extra benches for the seniors to be able to sit plus there's half the rides and massive lineups because there's just not enough rides for the amount of people …

  • ironroad carsandtrains

Calgary Stampede '23 edition - huge crowds and not enough space. $12 corndogs, $15 mini doughnuts, and shoulder to shoulder crowds everywhere. Some things never change.

  • Sajal Gupta

Stampede is fun.! Calgary Stampede is a must watch place, it's fun filled with Rodeo shows, magic shows, motorbike shows..Fun fair with rides and all. Yahooooooo!

  • Edward Wang

Was there for Aggie Days. It’s nice that they have free breakfast there but the construction of the new BMO centre was pretty loud and also made the air dusty.

Loved the Pitbull concert. I didn't like the time it took to get into the park while on an express bus. Should have had better traffic control

  • Cam courtoreille

Carny food is the best. Colossal onion is da bomb. Corn dogs are amazing. Chuckwagons and Indian relay race are the highlight of evening.

  • Tanjina Sharmin

Great cultural festival to celebrates with family and friends. It also has some joyfully rides for all ages. But food is very expensive.

  • Rikki-Lee Bales

Crowded, long lines so I would suggest buying a express band, but overall very fun and got in free due to free entry until 11 am.
