I would not have written this review today.... but if you're going to say something about a customer don't do it in-front of them, where they can easily hear you. Attended Staples to pick up my Fedex shipment. The doors on the North End were closed (the entrance by the shipping area). Walked around the building to the regular entrance and back to the far end to shipping counters etc. There were no customers at the pick up area, and two customers to the side at the other area. I stopped and stood at the pick up area, noticing a girl doing something just behind the partial glass partition. I stood there quite a while, said nothing and just kept waiting. Expecting she would eventually serve me. No response. I walked up and put my ID on the counter and waited. Slowly a line started to form behind me. The first holding a package, waited quite a while and then sat the package down. We stood there looking at each other after a while with the "we're waiting look". After a while another gentlemen showed up with a bunch of documents for shredding. A few minutes later another gentlemen showed up. All lined up behind me. The same original two customers were at the line of service desks to the right. One being a mother and daughter, they then came over to the pick up area to have the daughters pass port photo taken. I nicely stepped to the counter and picked my ID off the counter and stepped back to wait. This is not a negative on them whatsoever, just a description of events for time purposes. We all waited for the jewelry and wardrobe changes , hair fixing etc, again that is not on them. This was what most would do and they were there first. Not a problem. As we all waited a red haired lady walked in and was served at the other counter . All the while the girl in the package pick up kept doing her thing behind the glass partition. After the photo was done the staff member started to Iserve the man with the shredding who was there and third in line. After he was done....At that point I said "excuse me, I've been waiting here and have now had 3 people served ahead of me and waited for one passport photo." The person serving the mother and daughter who was 10 feet from me said to the girl behind the partition who was just off to his side " XXXXX one of the customers is getting restless can you help him."......I said nothing and waited patiently, until the girl left the counter and ended up servicing the man behind me with the package at the side counter! I approached the counter to close the distance to the person who was about 10 feet back behind the counter ( to help keep my voice lower)who was servicing the passport people at the machine behind the counter. I nicely said "Next time you're going to say something about a customer don't say it where they can hear you." After a short time he asked for my identification and retrieved my parcel. Lines happen in order folks. Even a simple " we'll be with you in a second sir would have sufficed but that never happened. There was also a moment with the girl who was behind the counter who went into a room behind the partition with another employee and I could here them laughing loudly as I signed for the package. I cannot of course say what the reason for the laughter was. I'm sure it was just a good meme or something on TikTalk. Great work staff.
I really enjoy the convenience of the print centre in all of the Staples locations. However the Dorval location has the absolute worst service ever. Every time I go there I wait between eight and 15 minutes to be served to load my card meanwhile there is always one or two associates visibly in the back area which is open to the public and they continually ignore the customers in line not so much as a someone will be with you in a moment or we will be with you shortly they just keep their heads down glance up once in a while to make sure you’re not looking at them and totally ignore you. I was there once again today and I needed to load my card and waited in line with four people in the lineup I was second and only one cashier and two people in the back one lady with red hair and glasses was working on the computer and very hesitantly looked up but never once acknowledged any of the customers after eight minutes of finishing whatever it was she was doing she then proceeded to the cash and helped the next person in line. Once I finally got to the front of the line up and loaded my print card I proceeded to the printer and of course the printer wasn’t working and guess what not one associate could help because they were busy at the counter in hanging out in the back area. Fortunately I grabbed a young gentleman who looked fairly new and asked if he could help me he tried his best however I did troubleshoot it and figured out the problem which the printer was out of paper not toner which is what the system is saying and I expressed my concern about the service or lack there of to him in the poor guy was like a deer in headlights. I didn’t proceeded to let him know please if you’re going to work here ensure that you give good service because your service desk in the print centre is absolutely not and that is not the model you want to follow do good for your customers and you will be successful. Anyways I hope this helps Staples to identify the core issues of the lack of service at this particular location and make it better.
This is a horribly run store. I called them yesterday five separate times before I was able to finally speak with someone. When I got through, I asked a very simple question - is there a FedEx ship centre within your store and does it have the same store hours? The answer was yes to both. I made it clear that I would be arriving before store close to return a bathroom mirror that we had purchased. My mother and I brought the mirror in and weren't stopped once by any customer service rep to see if we needed a hand and instead were left to wonder where the FedEx ship centre was located in the store. When we arrived at the FedEx ship centre, the first words that came out of the employees mouth were "I don't think that we can take that package." Despite the package weighing below the maximum threshold, the staff members were not willing to accept it because they feared their FedEx rep would be "upset" that the box was a little oversized (roughly 4 ft x 3 ft.). After pleading with each of the staff members to accept the package as I had called prior and specifically asked about the store hours and mentioned we are bringing in a mirror, they refused and again didn't offer any assistance in getting the package out of the store and back into our vehicle. Absolutely horrible customer service every step of the way. Try another Staples.
I don't usually feel the need to come online to give a negative review - but people should be warned if they want to use Staples for any sort of printing job. DO NOT GO HERE. It was an absolute nightmare. If I could give negative stars, I would. I came at 3:30pm and had to wait 20 minutes in line while staff moved slowly and chit-chatted behind the counter, to then be told I can use their "free wifi" to upload my small PDF file in order to get it printed - but the wifi was too slow for me to upload the file to their system. Why even have that sort of system in place if your wifi is not functional enough to upload a small PDF?? Ridiculous! I couldn't even hotspot my phone from within the store, because the service was too bad. After uploading the file from a bench outside, I went back inside to print, to have to wait in line for another 15 minutes. I had to print hundreds of copies of the same file, so thank goodness I asked for a sample print beforehand, because the sample printed all pixelated. I was told this was my fault, and that my file had images that would need to be fixed on my end. WRONG. I went home, printed the file on my home printer to see if it had the same problem, and nope - it printed perfectly. Staples, I am extremely disappointed by your services. I will be taking my printing business to UPS from now on.
I've gone here plenty of times to use the self-print services and never had any issues. Tonight, I went to print photos on the small self-serve kiosks, but both machines were down with an error message. I went to the desk and asked if they could print for me because the two machines were down. I was told "no, we don't do production after 8pm". No where on the website does it state this. The store is opened until 9:00pm and this was around 8:25pm. There were 35 minutes before closing, on a job that takes 5 minutes MAX that I could have done myself if they serviced the printers. I told her that someone had previously helped me when the kiosks were down before and she repeated, we don't do production after 8pm. I asked so you cant print any photos for me tonight? (10 photos, 6x4... nothing special or unreasonable) and told, "no, we dont have enough time". Unbelieveable. If the machines were working, I wouldnt need her help. Staples has two ways to print these kinds of photos and if one was down, I would expect a little better customer service with the 2nd option. She made no effort to help or provide a solution when there was still an ample amount of time before store closing. What a joke. No sorry no help, no nothing. I will be printing elsewhere after tonight.
Buyers of printers at staples Beware. I started shopping for printer ink at staples and decided to buy a printer here. I just got the impression that the staff would offer better service to Walmart of Costco as staples is the office experts. WAS I WRONG. The sales person based on hearing my needs recommended the HP 2755e printer and that I would get free ink for 6 months no catch. Little did I know when you accept the free ink once the 6 month mark passes, HP IMMEDIATELY LOCKS THE INK IN YOUR PRINTER. Thereby preventing you from printing anything on the printer (that you fully purchased). I went back to staples to let them know that this was quite possibly the worst printer I have ever purchased. The guy who said he was the manager said that this was in the fine print and that it’s unfortunate that the staff at the store advertised the free ink as it’s really not free. They didn’t do anything for me. I’ve done the research. Go to Costco or Walmart for your printer needs. Also not to mention, I tried to pay for printing, they basically charge 84cents for each colour print, no discount on bulk. Basically cheaper to just buy a printer from Costco.
I needed to have name tags (labels) printed in an emergency for a Corporate event I was hosting at the Canadian Open this past weekend. I purchased Avery name labels from Staples a few days before as I had for the same event a year prior. Unfortunately our NEW Epson printer would not recognize the labels and proper formatting; so I figured Staples to the rescue. Showed up when they first opened to ensure I would have plenty of time to spare figuring it should only take approx 15mins or less to print. I soon found out that the most advanced copiers and printers ever invented by mankind could not even print these labels as formatting would not allow. Thankfully, Miles was a very determined and focused young man and found a work around that allowed to print to label size with multiple names on an 8.5 x 11 sheet. He then proceeded to cut down the labels to the appropriate size of 4x3 so they would fit properly in the plastic holders/lanyards. Cheers Miles you saved the day !
Had an amazing experience here a few months ago when I was in the market for a new iPad. I placed an in-store hold for an 32G Silver iPad 8. When I got there, the staff member who helped me was extremely helpful and kind. I ended up changing my mind to get a 128G Rose Gold iPad 8, which I had originally been looking for and couldn't find anywhere. The employee who helped me out immediately found it the second I made mention of it, and was quick and prompt with getting me an Apple Pen to go with it. At checkout, he served me equally quickly and assisted me with splitting the payment across two cards. I apologized for the fact that it was a bit of a pain but he had absolutely no issue with it and remained helpful and calm throughout. I walked away not only happy with the product itself but from one of the best transactions I ever had.
I visited Staples recently and it's regrettable to say that I can only give it 2 stars. My experiences there have consistently been marred by frustrating customer service. Every visit seems to be plagued by slow staff, as if they're being pushed to work at a snail's pace. There's often a lot of behind-the-counter activity, which contributes to the crazy lineups. I'm not sure if I'm just unlucky with my timing, but it's not an isolated occurrence. Staples' slogan, "the working and learning co," suggests that the issue might not entirely be the staff's fault. It's perhaps Staples' responsibility to train and empower its staff with better customer service skills. This could greatly enhance the overall experience for customers who, like me, have limited alternatives for purchasing certain items at Staples.
Just wanted to share my experience with this location last night. I came in last night with a rush printing job. The team members I dealt with were very helpful in accommodating me 20 minutes before closing. 1/3 of the way through the printing job, the power went out in the whole city of Oakville. Although it was no fault of their own, they were very apologetic. I am upset that I didn't get their names, as I was also dealing with another situation and was pre-occupied, but they were very helpful, and ensured that my order was ready first thing this morning. The young lady at the print counter, and the store manager were very pleasant to deal with, and I appreciate their assistance and hard work in turning an unusual situation into a great experience! Thank you!
This is a good example of how not to reopen. Pulled up to curb side to pick up my online order. Dialed number and pressed 6 to get to “alert associate you are here” Held on hold for 3 mins and then kicked back to main menu. Only option to to go in store. Big sign when you come in. Online order pick up. Waited in line for a while since someone was processing a return There were at least 5 staff standing around in store talking to one another and pacing around. Someone finally asks me what I'm here for and I said to pick up my print order. Told to go to printing area??? Now I'm in a line with people mailing packages and making new print orders. Do better Staples!! You were better closed when Curbside actually worked.
DO NOT!!!! print your business cards here !!! Go to you local printing shop!!!!!! Worst customer service!!! I had to follow up with the store 4 times for them to call their production department to find out what's going on!! their manager JULIE GAUTHIER needs to be fired!! & Their production manager MIKE FELTOE needs to be fired. Not only my business cards were late 20 + DAYS, after speaking with the production manager and following up with them fixing the issue they were having with my business cards. They still messed up the order and failed to give me the quality that I ordered. And the only thing I got from them when picking up the order is ohh we are refunding you your money anyways. SERIOUSLY!!!!!
I was met today by the store greeter who was pleasant and professional. He has Down's Syndrome. The cashier who was also very professional and pleasant was also handicaped and sat on a raised chair behind the cash register. This is NOT a fluke as these two employees have both worked their for over five years. While shopping in the store I was offered help by two employees even though they were very busy. I compliment Staples and their local management for operating a well retail store. I also applaud them on their refreshing hiring policy that has given talented people a opportunity to pursue a retail career. Somehow I sense that these two people have inspired the other staff ...BRAVO.
Kudos to Julie, store Manager, and Paige!!!!! I was visiting this store from USA and I needed important documents copied. Not all documents were standard size. I walk in the store and immediately Julie could see the confused look on my face and asks how she could help me. She directed me to the proper area in the store where I could make the copies. Since I'm not technologically savy, Paige says, "Oh I can do it for you" She had to scan and shrink a couple of documents also. They were both so helpful, conscientious, pleasant, professional, and willing to go the extra mile. You don't find that sort of customer service in many places anymore. Thank you Julie and Paige, awesome job!!!!!!
The store was fine once I figured out which door to go in. A good selection of office chairs to try out, the one I wanted wasn’t in stock but they ordered it and will assemble it for $10. Friendly staff although they didn’t offer to help me and needed to be summoned. Update: I was told I’d get an email when the chair arrived at the store, and the following day they would have it built. I got the email on Tuesday, I went to pick it up on Friday. It wasn’t built. It’s Saturday now and I don’t want to waste gas driving there again only to find it’s not ready. So I tried calling Staples but I get a message the office is closed. Going to have to remove a star, unfortunately.
I been there yesterday for print over 600 pages. I did try to print on the printer by myself it take me 1hr but just print only 100page. So someone one tell me to go on the front desk ask if they can help me to print them it faster. I been this morning and ask if they can help. The lady yelling me right on the front desk . She said : I have to service someone there and a lot of people waiting for...I come for the service too !! She can say you leave the number here I can help you after or say something nicer. I can believe how she talk to the customer like that and how she service...I been there many time this time the lady so mean to me..
I have never seen a more clueless staff in my life. I wanted to get my infant passport pictures clicked and ensured due diligence to call the store and check if they hv these services. I spoke with Ian who confirmed they do and also said to dress the baby in clothes other than white or black. I travelled with my 2 week old baby 24 mins away to this location only to hv the Solutions staff tell me they don’t do infant pictures?! Staples needs to make sure that their staff knows what they are telling customers. Imagine having to travel with a 2 week old making sure he’s awake between his feeding times and then getting this response.
Today I went to this Staples location which has undergone a major transformation in how the store looks on the inside . This is very impressive and how open it is and how one can easily identify each section. My visit was to purchase 2 office chairs which were one sale. The sales associate Rob I would like to thank for his professional courteousness , bringing the two chairs to my car after personally checking me out with an additional discount . Furthermore he answered my questions which desktop I should invest in for my applications. This was a wonderful experience and will be my go to Staples location going forward.
Good place for printing needs but all the retail items are very expensive. Also learnt that printing on a glossy paper carries a service charge of 2.99 irrespective of whether you upload it online or come and print it out at the store. The thing is that you cannot print something out on a glossy paper by yourself in one of the self service printers at the store and only an associate can help you. I don’t think that’s fair. If I as a customer have the option to print out myself but still if I choose to print it out by an associate then a service charge makes more sense. Guess it’s time to buy a printer.
I came here to buy and install a screen protector, as I read online at the website that staples provides this service. I do like this staples as it’s clean and has friendly staff but the associate I worked with today basically had no idea what I was asking for and when I asked if they would install it they were like “if you want, we don’t do that here. ” They also kept giving me phone cases and not protectors to choose from. Although they were friendly, it was somewhat a waste of my time. I wish they would ask someone else for help if they weren’t sure. I’ll be going to Best Buy unfortunately !
Terrible customer service!! FIVE unanswered calls directly to the store over the course of several days. ONE unanswered online request on line customer Service. An extra visit back into the store to follow up on my order. Although seemingly sympathetic The associate wasn’t able to determine when my order would be filled and ready for pick up very frustrating time sensitive order I feel they’re failing Customer Service is a disconnect. I would not recommend ordering anything print go somewhere where you get a more personal touch, no one at staples seems to care or have any clue what’s going on.
Zero star if I can give. Just went earlier today and wish to buy a sim card for cell phone, an associate came and asked us need any help. Waited 15-20 min after we told him what we need and we gonna wait by the cell phones area, he already went to help another customer. By the time I followed him to the cashier he already forgot me and ask me what phone? Card? What?? Later on he said he paged someone earlier for me. Yeah right....... That's explain why ppl shop online these days in order to avoid BS like these. U guys lost me there Staple, pissed and will never return to this store again.
After their complete renovation this Staples lacks the products! There is a lot of floor space but, not enough product. For example, a full display of swell water bottles at $44.99 is not what we need. We need more items we can afford for the office. They had a full section on phone accessories to match the phone in the store. Now the accessories section is down to 8 feet of product for phones they don't have in stock! The phone they have in stock, you'll find its accessories at Best Buy! Or Marshalls! Definitely call before you go to make sure that they have what you need in stock.
This is the third time in the last year that I have gone into the Staples to buy something and its been the same everytime. Today I was going in to buy a printer. There were very few customers in the store but lots of staff, after 15 minutes of trying to figure out which printer I wanted without any help I took it up to the cash not once was I asked by any staff if I needed anything and when I got to the front desk I was treated as if I was interrupting them as they were sitting around chatting. If this store wasn't so close to my work I would be going elsewhere.
Solutionshop at this location is ridiculous. Went one day to scan a document, needed help and was told the scanner wasn't working. I played around a bit and it was in fact working. Associate likely just didn't know what to do. Went the next night to scan some additional documents. Was told the scanner wasn't working AFTER I made payment. Luckily another customer realized the machine just wasn't plugged in. Incompetence or just lazy to troubleshoot and problem solve with the customer...? Will definitely not recommend for solutionshop service at this location
The store has recently been renovated in line with Staples’ new branding. This location is now much less efficient with a new and much worse checkout system and illogical placement of products in the store. Deeply disorganized and unhelpful but technologically adept staff round off the new Staples, marking a transition from convenient office supply store to the trendy but hopelessly ineffective supplier of overpriced goods. The new 21st century facade is pretty uninspiring and will leave loyal customers lost and looking for better alternatives.
This store isn't too bad but there is definitely room for improvement. I feel that it's always difficult to find someone on the floor to help with any questions. Now that they are going through renovations, it is that much more unorganized. I accidentally asked a construction worker for advice because he was the only one I saw at the time and he didn't look like he was in construction. I'm hoping after the renovation that this location flows better and that there are more staff on the floor to help out with any questions.
Parking here is absurdly limited. There's just 1 and a half rows of parking. You might have to park somewhere else, or wait about 5 minutes like I did. It's a pretty large staples. Everything in it that you would expect them to carry. Their print and ship center is fairly busy. They have a large area that has an array of printers and such that you can utilize. Staff is very friendly here. There aren't an awful lot of them, but it seems like they do their best to keep up with the amount of customers and are pretty fast.
I had a wonderful experience yesterday with a woman from the Copy & Print Center. (Unfortunately I didn’t get her name). My anxiety prevented me from going into the store to get same-day service. She kindly talked me through how to submit my print jobs online and kept an eye out for the order on her end so she could make sure to treat it like I had come into the store (instead of walking in and walking out because I was overwhelmed like I had). I’m extremely grateful for her support & understanding. THANK YOU.
Words cannot explain how helpful the individuals we met today at Staples were. I needed something to get printed last minute and the staff there was so polite and kind extending there professionalism to assist my husband and I. I didn't catch her name, a young lady who helped with our program application re sizing on Canva and Hong who went above and beyond for us. Her time and patience and customer service skills were next level. Listening to what we needed exactly and executing. Thank You Staples Staff.
Excellent service. I got all the attention when I was going for information about computers, the guy that I don't recall his name, showed me all the computers, the apples with great detail, allowing me to know features I didn't know about. Then we were close to the headphones and wireless speakers and I asked about the Beats wireless headphones, I ended up buying for $319 the high end Bose SLIII wireless speaker, and I have had so much fun with it, that I thank this guy for being so patient and thorough.
I’ve been coming to this staples for years and never had a problem until today. I ordered pictures online for same day pick up and when I came to pick them up I waited half an hour. I was able to print them faster on the self service kiosk machines. There should be a faster line for people who just need to pick up an order (took about 1 minute once I got to the front), rather than wait in a line while one employee manually photocopies something for someone. What’s the point of ordering ahead then?
I had good experience from this store previously but whoever was attending the curb side pickup (bespectacled guy) was extremely rude and unprofessional. He didn't wait to see all the orders numbers I had to pick up - ran inside without waiting to hear the second order. And for some unknown reason sent back some one else to deliver that. The wait time for the whole thing was half an hour. Extremely disappointed in his service. Staples, please employ customer friendly people.
Impossible to get a hold of somebody on the phone! I called hundred times over 2 weeks , different extentions/ options and nobody answered. Called all other locations from Mississauga to Burlington and they answered the phone every time. I needed them to check the inventory on cpl items before me driving there. I ended up driving to further location because they confirmed having items I needed. Same is hapenning today, nobody is answering all day! Very frustrating !
The reason I gave five star is for the manager who was reacted fast to the unproffessonal customer service name Rahim at the printing section. I went to print 100 copies, asked for the help the lady customer service could figured it out asked Rahim and he was not willing to help asked me can print it inside but did not tell me there will be extra service charges I noticed when he chraged me??Rahim need some courses as how to deal with customers.Thank you
Shout out to Meghan in the printing/shipping department for great customer service! I went to Purolator and the UPS store, I was not able to find any packaging for my companies marketing posters. Meghan not only provided me with the appropriate box (custom fit), she went above and beyond. I received plastic covers/protectors for the ends, fragile stickers for the box, and she had a great attitude. Thank you Meghan and Staples store #4!
My wife went to this location on Tuesday November 22nd around 1:30pm. She was there to get a passport photo done for our 3-week-old son. When she arrived, she was told to wait in line as there was one person ahead of her. When it came to her turn and almost waiting an hour, she was then quickly informed that Staples do not take photos of babies under the age of 8 months. Very frustrating and a colossal waste of time for my wife.
Pointless. There "solutionshop" is anything but. Two desks -mail/ship and design/print but both poorly staffed, no obvious line area, and people are forced to stand around in disarray with no idea how long, where they are I line, etc, and the people behind the counter are in no hurry. Good option if you don't have any options and your time isn't valuable, but otherwise would be better off going somewhere else.
Staples is okay in a pinch. We moved all of our online ordering to a competitor because they refused to offer the same basic services as the competition. I say refused because another division of staples does offer those services, but staples didn't want to compete with itself. We visit this store when we absolutely can't wait for the next day delivery. There are very few staff, and even less customers.
Tried to use their solutions service at 9 am. Only three people in line and four “serving” (and talking to each other). After 20 minutes of watching this sluggishness in a line that never moved, I had to leave to get to work. Nothing got accomplished. Frustrating for me and I don’t see why staff were so slow. Has nothing to do with Covid. Poorly managed store. Don’t waste your time here. Go elsewhere.
I went into prints section to do a poster yesterday, after I got home realized that was over charged...to day went in explained that to KAYLA she helped me out in such professional cam way I was very impressed....Thank you Kayla for all your help and refund me for the payment process. I did the original review for someone else, and Google would not let me write this review. I had to edit to this.Tx
Although the products are great, the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is organized I am still not satisfied with how overpriced everything is. You can find the same products in the dollar store a couple stores down, except there it's five times cheaper. If you need something exclusively from staples, then go for it! But if you can find an item somewhere else, I suggest you go there instead.
I had a horrible experience today in this store. Employees are very good at changing their words specially one person who says he is a manager(Asif) to this location and he do not know how to talk to customers and how to respect customers. I haven't had this kind of awful situation in any of other stores in Canada , this manager treats customers like liars. This is a worst store to shop.
The store is very nice and well laid out, we found all we needed. The only criticism is that I asked for some help in the computer section and the couple of guys who were helping me would turn and speak in a different language to one another. I think it’s great that we have folks from all over, but it is not polite to speak a language that the third person present does not understand.
Horrible service. Impossible to get a hold of someone to speak with on the phone. Sent my MacBook in for repairs and have heard nothing for a few days, I have to stop in in order to get some feedback and customer service. After I’ve been told I’d had someone call and email me updates. A simple email explaining you’re still working on it would suffice. Super unprofessional.
Staples is known to be one leading office supplies depot, customer service is outstanding mostly but the Service manager today was a 10 miles ahead of outstanding... I would love to thank him to save my day after a frustrating experience with Microsoft product and customer services. Thank you Poul from staples pronte for your help and standing for your guests and customers
Getting stuff printed is an inherently dicey proposition. Inevitably there's a problem with some page or other. Staples has always been great about fixing issues when they happen in printing. Today I had a poster printed and the top came out a little crinkled and they didn't even ask me. They just printed a new one for me. They made it right. And that's why I'll be back.
This is hands down my favorite Staples location. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and while there might be a bit of a lineup especially at the copy desk, I have never been in a situation where I couldn't get someone to solve my problem. Fair prices on business stationary, accessories and computer equipment - often beating out larger tech chains like Best Buy.
Very helpful staff. I regularly purchase large quantities of office supplies here and the staff always offer to assist with carrying items in the store and out to the car. I also recently called in to ask whether I could get a reprint of a 2 week old receipt I had lost and I was quickly transferred to one of the managers who emailed it to me within 5 minutes
This location and the staff, specifically Alex Bouchard, are absolutely outstanding. Alex has been helping me for quite a while with everything I need. As a PM those needs constantly change, Alex is able to uncover easier solutions I didn’t even know about. I make it a point to shop at this specific Staples and many of my colleagues are now doing the same.
The renovations are done. The store is now a pleasure to shop at. Easy to find what you need. The overall look and feel is welcoming and now the cash registers are FAST and seldom wait more than a minute to be served. Staff now ask if they can help you. Huge improvement and their coworking space looks great. Well worth the hassle during renovations.
I had to ship serveral documents by FedEx, which took an hour. Through all this the person serving me kept the whole process going as fast as possible, with no error, and also managed to attend to the people in the line behind me so that they did not have to wait to long. You won't find this dedication and this level of skill and service everywhere.
Called to ask about a warranty on my chair and at first was nice and put me on hold for the manager but no answer for 15 minutes so i called again and asked why it got disconnected and a female employee said “hes p*ssing me off” and hung up the phone. So I went in and spoke with the manager who was nothing but nice and apologized for her behaviour.
Kristle in the print shop is amazing! She helped me with my print needs and listened to every detail I asked about incessantly. She has amazing customer service skills. She’s very knowledgeable, personable and friendly! You have a great person on your team there! Thank you Kristle for all your help and I appreciate your help and expertise.
Well stocked for office supplies. I'm sure they'll have anything you need for around the office even basic low end furniture and electronics. Online print orders are very simple, convenient and have always been ready well ahead of time. There seem to be always staff on the floor ready to assist customers which is quite rare these days.
Horrible store. My daughter's laptop suddenly stopped working and there was nothing that they could do to help. They told me because it was over the 14 days store policy I would have to call Apple. When I called Apple they told me to call Staples. Never purchasing any electronics from this store ever again. Terrible customer service.
Visited this location during last week. After asking for assistance, the girl ( did not capture her name) was very polite and professional; she found my journal and looked up for inventory at other locations. -1 star for not having the journal available and making me go back to one of the worst Staples stores at Guelph Line.
DONT ORDER ONLINE! Even if the product is in stock in store, it still takes days (or weeks) to be shipped from head warehouse location. And if the item needs returning, they accept it in store and send to head office to process - taking days (or weeks) before refunding your payment. NOTHING CONVENIENT ABOUT ONLINE ORDERING.
To be honest I'm not sure what the point of coming to a place like this is. You'll pay about 400% the cost of buying online and they're trying their best to replace their employees with computers as quickly as they can. I couldn't even print a document here because their system wasn't working and all staff were tied up
Great store with knowledgeable staff, great products. Newly renovated to include meeting rooms and classrooms ... I haven't used them but really nice looking. Keep in mind that they price match ... if you can find the exact same product online for less, Staples will match it! Has saved me quite a bit in the past!!
Staples sometimes is nice but sometimes i fell like I’m in a dollar store why are all the employees standing and talking at the cash register. I spent 10 minutes looking for someone to help me and then guess what i found like 5 employees standing and talking. It’s Unbelievable how bad the customer service is.
I use this Staples a lot, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Everyone in their Copy and Print department is so kind and wonderful, and they have great customer service. I've dealt with many employees at this Staples, including the managers, and they have all been great. Highly recommend this store.
Great location with an available coworking studio space included. Coworking space is welcoming and creates a great alternative for those who work from home or those who wish to potentially collaborate with a range of people. Beautiful store over all with a variety of supplies to meet your needs!
Terrible customer service, rude employees, slow service and ruined my book that was spiral bound, wrong order of pages even though I handed it to them in correct order, they also charged far more money than the Waterdown location did about 2 months ago for the same thing. Not happy :(
Not happy with service for fedex pickup I was picking up an item at the counter just as the person was assisting me another customer came and asked a question and he immediately left me standing there and started assisting her, not even an apology. It was rude and very poor service.
Called Staples North Service Rd. Oakville to check if an item I needed is in stock. Customer Service confirmed item is in stock. Drove over and staff helped me find item on shelf. Very good store and helpful staff. I highly recommend this store. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
I was looking to print architectural drawings and was shocked to learn that one, 11 page copy in 3' x 2' format would come to $102 + tax. That is absolutely shocking. If you need to print stuff at a fraction of the cost, check out Oakville Blue Printing. You won't be disappointed.
Kudos to those ladies who help me out to print our family picture for my son's school.Excellent customer service for both Paulina and Melanie.Paulina I can't thank you enough for all the help, your such an amazing young lady you made my day.And Paulina thanks for all the support.
Staples has rebranded and it’s definitely cooler than the old Staples store I used to go to when I was younger (and in school). Service/staff was great (took one star off only because they don’t allow you to use any of the printing products you purchase in the printing centre).
After a half dozen visits to the this location for Fedex services: Shipping center understaffed and employees frequently seem stressed. Shipping supplies are often out of stock or in the wrong area. Went to other Staples in Oakville and had a much better shipping experience.
Jacquie and the business centre crew recently went above and beyond the call of duty in delivering at last minute 5 posters I urgently needed for a festival next morning. They stayed past closing time to finish the job and got it done! Great job guys and thank you again!
I recently purchased a laser colour printer from Staples in Oakville, ON and i was very happy with the customer service rep who helped me determine the best printer for my needs. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional and I will definitely shop at Staples again.
My son and I went in to buy a laptop. Chose the laptop and needed help...we waited....waited for a staff member named Rain...waited waited....14 min later still no Rain....so we left, they let us. We went to Best buy and bought the laptop but $200 less and no wait time.
I buy all my office electronics and now even cell phone from Staples. The deals are good, people are good, product and services are always pretty good. Raine, the Tech Supervisor here at Oakville Staples, is an exemplary model of customer service professional. 10/10!
I needed passport photos for my 2 month old. The photographer wanted her to sit straight on a bar stool, which was a ridiculous expectation. This location doesn’t have any provision to click photos for babies, however the website states otherwise. Waste of time!
Outstanding service, prices and staff! The gals in the copy and print centre are amazing!!!! Abbey and Shannon have helped me with marketing and poster projects multiple times and are educated, helpful and oh so friendly!! Can't recommend this place enough!
I cannot thank this Staples enough for how much they go above and beyond for their customers! They really care about the people in their store and help in anyway they can! This Staples has a customer for life! Thank you everyone at this location! …
Great selection with a new nice modern atmosphere. Employees always willing to help with whatever you need, whether its finding a printer or a new laptop. Store is laid out very nicely and very easy to find what you need. Overall one of my top stores.
Awesome staff. Special shoutout to Francesco for going above the call of duty and running to grab me a pair of scissors from the back when I needed to cut open a product from its packaging. Employees like him are what keep customers coming back!
They're undergoing some renos right now, but otherwise a great store with friendly staff to show you around. I used the business centre to print some stuff, and it's super easy to use and great quality. Much better than printing at the library.
The first thing about quality.... partially my mistake. I took them up on the offer for business cards and just didn't expect the quality to be this bad. Smaller letters look like they were bleeding with the background, the cards have the
So if you ever have a question regarding printers, Rob is the man. I was interested in potentially getting a new inkjet printer which are practically disposable now because the cartridges cost as much as a new printer and he was able to
The Staples store at Dorval and the North Service Road West in Oakville is a big, clean, well stocked store. They sell fresh juice and they have a virtual work centre. It's a good alternative if you can't make it to a Lauft location.
The staff is not at all helful. We went there and waited for 40 minutes and they were not even seeing the customers. We asked for help and one member came , explained so fast nd then went back.We wasted more than an hour there.
Awful customer service. Went today and when I asked for help concerning which drive to choose I was told to just grab a box and go to the register then when I asked for further help he responded with ok fine if I have to.
Definitely the best Staples I have been to. They have given the place a brand new look and if they renovate the rest of the chain like this I can see no harm. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Starbucks in one corner soon.
RUDE CASHIER. Horrible experience at checkout. I won’t use the cashier’s name but she was older and had some attitude going going on.. I brought a single stack of paper to the cash and she told me I had it the wrong
Great renovations!! Now, one feels like going just to look at any products they have!! Café, co-working space, event space & more!! Nicely done with more products!! Let's hope the help improves with the new space!
I like the end result of the renovations they made. the store is easy to navigate. the store staff are willing to help you find what you're looking for. they have a nice computer (laptops, monitors) display area.
Went in almost closing time.. to get some business cards done. The representatives were very helpful patient and did a fantastic job. And this morning I got them .. thx again it was great dealing with you guys
Why do I always have to wait 20 min to pick up from Staples Printing services?? I print online because it’s supposed to be convienent…..currently waiting in line again for no reason. Get a better process
Alex, the sales manager, is amazing. He went totally out of his way to-resolve an issue I had with a printer and helped me out of with a time sensitive print job. Amazing customer service. Thank you. Mario.
We were looking for a travel adapter today.. Jordan helped us and he went above and beyond to try find what we needed. We didn't find one but I still wanted to point out the awesome service. Thanks Jordan!
Good service. Taking COVID-19 restrictions seriously and are being careful, make me feel safe going there. When I went to checkout (4 or 5 back to school items) the cashier seemed very annoyed.
For the second time in a couple months, this place is closed when their site says open. Can someone please show what is supposed to be a technology company how to make edits to their website.
Newly renovated, just a few weeks ago this store looks great. Also has a brand new co-working space called Staples Studio that offers FREE talks on numerous topics. Has a juice bar too.
Store looks great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Store was fully stocked and clean. Copy and print section looks great. This store doesn’t looks like a staple I used to know. Must go.
No wonder they got so many one star reviews. Went to pick up a FedEx package. Encountered a rude employee after a very slow service. I would rather go to the other locations next time.
Great experience in their photo print area. Knowledgeable staff and great results. My pictures were scanned cropped and saved on my flash drive. Perfect images. Thanks! I will be back.
The GM of this store should be fired, she doesn’t train her new hires. People wait in line for an hour if not more most of the time and she always has a new excuse. No accountability.
