1 Star is being generous- do not shop at this store. I popped in quickly to buy a face mask, because my friend had forgotten one. After paying $9, I had a strange feeling about the encounter so I asked for a receipt. A $9 till receipt was given to me. A few hours later, by chance I was looking at my accounts and realised $89 had been taken out instead. I returned to the store and the teller who had served me was no longer there, however another teller who was there at the time of my original transaction was. I told her that I had accidentally been overcharged earlier that day, with my receipts and proof in hand she said for me to come back tomorrow or at 7:30pm to talk to the original server. (She didnt bother looking at the receipts and disregarded the problem as my own issue). After refusing to come back later, I said I am happy to take cash back to make up for the discrepancy. She then said they “don’t have cash” and that the lady who had served me had emptied the till. (It was 2pm on a Saturday) I then proceeded to request for an electronic refund, which then was met with “I don’t know how to do that.” I have had many years experience in customer service/ hospitality and know how to make refunds myself, so I suggested to do it. Then suddenly the EFPTOS terminal “didn’t work properly.” After this, i felt completely helpless and I realised they were not trying to rectify their mistake at all. The only option was to go to the police. I am so thankful that the police station was so close, and that I had asked for a receipt. After making a report, the officer decided to come down to the store to try and quickly rectify the situation. This was not quick. The clerk was telling him that I was in the wrong for not “listening” when she suggested to come back tomorrow or to talk to someone else about it. If you make a mistake and do not provide a refund, that is classified as THEFT. Employees are not responsible as individuals for transactions made, you are responsible as a business when rectifying an issue. After the police officer made this aware to her she then said “she didn’t work there.” Ridiculous. The teller who originally served me called her back and after talking to the officer was obliging to give me the refund. (After saying she would send it through later that night, I insisted it happen straight away) During this conversation the teller was slightly slapping me with the back of her hand and stood glaring at me less than a foot away; which I then had to ask for her not to touch me. I completely believe that if the officer had not come to the store, and if I had not asked for my receipt that they would have completely ignored my request for a refund. I can’t help but feel from this whole scenario that it was done on purpose and that they probably do this to customers regularly. I should not be made to feel so helpless as a customer to have to resort to the help of police. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Avoid this place at all costs.

If i had an option i would have given zero star... Very bad experience... The staff there was very very rude. I went there to get a hot water bottle. When i asked, the lady got me a heat pad and i said sorry that was not what i was looking for.. She made a face to me and went away.. I had a friend with me who was going to buy some toy for her kid.. We went to the register and the moment she finished her EFTPOS transaction, this lady started verbally abusing us making racial comments like "you indians are not mentally stable thats y u ask for a thing and then say no".. We were sooo shocked.. She was waiting so that the payment is made and then started yelling at us. Please never go to this store.. She is a RACIST and RUDE Try the opposite shop(fantastic variety). They are nice, helpful and friendly..
