Astonishingly poor. This was the third time myself and my family had visited this establishment. First 2 times we were met with the same sullen and nonchalant behaviour from the serving staff, who had the attitude of "would rather be anywhere else but here". The food which was not too bad within itself appeared to get worse each time we went. The final time being the last straw, due to us ordering a Turkish Breakfast, to be served with just dry bits of bread. We asked the waitress for pitta instead as normally Turkish Breakfasts would be served with that only to be served with stale pitta. Following this we had a coffee that was meant to be included in the breakfast but they chose to charge extra (any cafes I have gone to don't do this in an "included breakfast"). Bad service, bad food, bad prices, and bad behaviour.

Wonderful place to go, absolutely loved it. The food was picture perfect as well as being absolutely delicious. The menu is alot so choice is not restricted, although due to it being such a variety it will be different variations of dishes. The place it self is not crazy busy, there is a section at the back which is more quite then the front. BOOKSHELF, not alot of places have things to do while waiting. My daughter grabbed a book and we were reading together, staff even offered her different books that were not on display. Great place highly recommended to any visitors to Ponder End.

Ordered 2 set breakfasts and only received the hot drinks. Called the restaurant to try to get the rest of the order and spoke to a very rude young woman who had the audacity to raise her voice telling us to sort it out via Uber Eats - something we couldn't actually do as the order was still showing as ongoing. The restaurant were at fault and made no effort to remedy their mistake. Forgetting to send our whole order was bad enough but to then be disrespectful towards a customer? Unacceptable. Will never ever order from this restaurant again.

Took my order via Just eat. Told me the delivery would be 5.10pm. It was a meal for my mum who is in her 80's and shielding. The ordered accepted waited for delivery driver to be assigned for delivery and we waited. They had closed and gone home no order arrived and tried to say they tried to deliver but hadn't at all and got a message at 5 45 from Just eat to say the order was cancelled! this is the second time this has happened now no apology or call to explain. Give you money to someone that really wants it not these guys!!!

Didn't try the food, the hot chocolate was lovely. The atmosphere was good, the staff were very patience and helpful with the elderly people with walking aids. The shop was busy which is a good sign. Next time I'll try the food. Prices are reasonable £2.80 for a regular hot chocolate. Looked very clean and tidy. Yes I would recommend to others and I look forward to returning there to try the food. Thank you to the staff for being helpful and patience with us today 18/01/2023

Might just be one of the best breakfasts we've ever had. The atmosphere is really nice, stylish and clean. The serving staff are incredibly accommodating and kind. And did I mention how amazing the food is, can't be said enough. Fresh squeezed orange juice, perfect coffees. Just utterly brilliant way to spend a Sunday morning.

Just under £10 for this via Just Eat. Barely any meat on this clearly low quality chicken leg quarter, very small portion for the money. Ordered 2 portions, no chicken breasts, No Yorkshire pudding despite being on the menu. Could have gone to any number of more premium restaurants like Nandos or Roosters and got much, much more for my money, if not cheaper. I'm sure the cafe is great at making burgers and breakfasts etc but avoid roast dinners if you can!

This place is not just beautifully decorated and has a fabulous, hard working staff who are very welcoming, but it is open reasonable hours. I love the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the great food and drinks and the overall look and feel of this place. It is a real gem in an area that doesn't have that many cafes, so we are very lucky we have this great place right in the neighbourhood. Excellent cafe in all respects.

The tea was wet and served in a coffee cup with teabag, staff were not helpful and didn't know what was on the menu, they looked half asleep and not welcoming. The sausages tasted like frankfurter and the beans where crud, no choice for toast - white bread only, I had breakfast which was on a confusing menu. Toilets clean but nowhere to dry your hands. Overall looked clean but I got a cold not wanted here impression.

I own and run my own cafe in East london. I can honestly say that eating here at Star cafe today was very enjoyable indeed. The food was very well prepared and cooked to perfection making it very enjoyable. Top notch cooking chef. Server's were very friendly too. Also tippers should not forget the person washing the dishes in these places, they're always overlooked for their very hard work all in all 10 out of 10

My local cafe been going here since a kid in schooldays. Its come a very long way since then and very proud of where it is now. Food is amazing staff friendly and welcoming decor calm and comfortable. Keep up the good work.

Second time overcharged luckily this time I plucked up the courage to ask why and then the big commotion started. They added extra items onto my bill hoping u wouldn't say anything. First time I thought ok but second time is on purpose, plus if you eat pork they will talk about you in Turkish hoping you won't understand, I will not say what they said ..awful

This cafe is my go to place whenever i fancy a good English/Mediterranean breakfast. Their food is absolutely stunning in presentation and deliciousness. Its extremely clean, fabulous staff who are always polite and helpful. I simply love this place and i have taken everyone i know to this cafe. Highly recommend it.

Nice decor from what it used to be, and friendly staff. Price range to portion comparison, is a bit steep for what you are getting. Everything tasted good, however I feel the egg needs to be firmer as it broke into tiny pieces when trying to cut it and not a fan of the flavour of this particular chicken sausage.

The space is nice and the food was reasonably priced along with very tasty. We sat on the couches as the tables were all full, the service was a bit slow but the overall experience was positive. The tea menu was extensive. The food is interesting, we will be back to explore more of it.

I have been to star Cafe many of times and I absolutely love it. Amazing quality food and affordable prices. I wish it was open later than 5pm so I can spend more time in there. I highly recommend anyone to go and try this Cafe out. You would not be disappointed.
