Had one of my cars in for their ‘platinum wash’ on the 23/8 - unfortunately it was appalling (and I’m not that fussy) but complete sections of my car were missed, it seemed the rims had not been done (brake dust still coating them) fingerprints on glass panels, lower sections of the car (front lip and rear diffuser had not been touched) the list goes on! -unfortunately I didn’t pick this up until I was home where I had to rectify myself. I’ve since had no response whatsoever from Stars social media in regards to my complaint. Hornsby (Star Car Wash) now look after my cars, much more professional and they due a flawless job, seems the staff at St Ives aren’t up to scratch - do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs

Today I have booked for platinum service @StarWash – St Ives. While dropping my car for the service the owner mentioned that I need to pay $20 more for BUG removal. This is not the first occasion. I met similar unprofessional behaviour from the St Ives site before. Several times the owner tried to squeeze more money as a part of the cleaning service. Due to which today, I left St Ives StarWash site and do the same Platinum cleaning @ Belrose Startwash – without any issue and not paying any extra. Saying that I never meet this sort of unprofessional behaviour at StarWash – Belrose or Hornsby.

DO NOT GO HERE. and if you do, you better make sure your car is SPOTLESS otherwise the dodgy staff will try to charge you a premium. They tried to charge me $100 to wash a car that wasn’t even that dirty! Disgusting!!! News flash: you are a car wash, so you are there to wash dirty cars. My car wasn’t even that dirty. Needless to say I went elsewhere. Do not give these crooks your money. The positive reviews here are obviously fake, and as you can see from all the other 1 star reviews, these crooks are just a scam. I have reported them.

Went there twice. Both times he told me my car is really dirty and that it would cost $75 (first time) and $80 (today) instead of the advertised $65 for a platinum wash. The first time I complained that every other Star Car Wash I'd ever been to had charged $65 so he agreed to do it. Today a different guy told me to go to another Star Car Wash. I'm guessing by the other similar reviews that these guys get paid regardless of how many cars get washed and are too lazy to actually do their jobs and increase profits for the business.

Because it's in a reasonably well-off area, they will always try to charge you the maximum for everything, regardless of how clean or dirty your car is. When you ask about the standard "star wash" they tell you it's not available (despite it being on the signs on premises and on their website and available to buy in bulk online). Every single time I've tried to use them I come away feeling frustrated that you can't just get a basic wash and exhausted from having to deal with the constant hustle. Steer clear.

They tried to charge me 350 to detail my car when it is advertised at 200. I have taken my car in same state to Star Car Wash in Manly and they did an amazing job and didnt charge me extra. The last time I used the St Ives location car in same state they charge me 260. Which is still 60 above the price on the board and that time I thought he charged me for a the Premium Wash and the Detail. I will not be going to this place again. I'd rather drive to Belrose for this type of service and treatment.

I have been to a lot of car washes but this car wash is by far the best I’ve been too. The owner Singh and the manager Jaggi are like family when I go there. Jaggi goes above and beyond for me and makes sure the job is always done to the best of standards and always checks over the car after it’s been cleaned. Very affordable prices and great deals. Happy to say I attend this car was due to their manager Jaggi being so polite, enthusiastic and how much pride he takes in his job. Great job guys!!

Extremely rude and condescending. Refused to wash my car and attempted to charge me triple rate advertised. I live in the country so my car was a little dirty so I just wanted them to do what they could for the advertised price and didn't expect a spotless car. Honestly blown away by their attitude and was shocked when I saw them attempting the exact same thing on the pregnant women in the car next to us (car looked spotless). 1 star, my disappointment is immeasurable.

Almost, weekly I have my new Mercedes Benz Detailed here over the last 2 years since opening. Such a Fantastic convenient location next to St Ives Shopping Village, Friendly staff, are always accommodating and willing to provide a custom service. Great value for money. Great quality service and product used to care for any motor vehicle, highly recommend. Well done St Ives ‘Star Car Wash’ team.

Had my car detailed for $350 which was a complete wash of money. I had to go back and complain about all the missed vacuuming, bird poo on the windscreen and residue on the interior and exterior of wipe marks. After taking it back and complaining i still had to revacuum and clean the exterior when i got home. I should have washed the car myself!!

Always try to overcharge + add on extra cleaning even through they are a car wash, didn’t even check the boot which was spotless. Was only one car in front and ended up leaving instead of just washing the car for $70 they ended up with nothing and now there guys are standing around doing nothing ‍♂️‍♂️ …

$120 supposed to include vacuum. Very cursory vacuum as I improved on it when I came home. Told me I could pay more and it could be better. With a shrug. Of course! No professional standards, no care attitude. If it was half the price it still would not be worth it. Never again.

$65.00 to wash and vacuum my car is a total rip-off. Not to mention they tried to tell me my car needs a polish 1week after it had ceramic coating done .I won't be back this week i went to Gordon carwash for $40.00 got a perfect job without the rip-off up sell.

What a great team on at Star car wash at St-Ives today. Great attention to detail and care went into it. One man in particular who I paid at the end was watching the staff and going the extra mile and helping with the extra detail. I will definitely be back!

I'm really disappointed with the full detail. So many obvious spots are still covered in dust. The air vents, inside the centre console, little ledges and in-between the seats and the boot. For $320 dollars and I would expect a "full".. "detail" !?!?

Got my car washed today for $62, came back to dirty spots still on the side of the car and the bonnet, was told only polish and wash will get those spots off, not just wash. Boot was also dirty. What a joke! I’m never coming back to this place.

I had my car wash last time at star car wash st ives and i had polish service. When i received my car i got my car shiny with all marks and tiny little scratches removed. I wasn’t expecting that at all. Would love to use this car wash again.

Paid $99, unfortunately the car wasn't clean. Also got scratched near the driver's door. The front right side also got light damage. Wouldn't recommend to wash the car here anymore.

Car ready ontime, and washed and cleaned. But a bit more attention to detail would be appreciated. For instance, the interior edges of the windshield can be cleaner.

Always trying to upsell when clearly not required or squeeze in extra dollars e.g. front bumper bug removal for $20 extra when I’ve already paid $70 for the wash.
