2 years on from my original review and the staff are still friendly, the tasty fresh seafood is still served with golden brown chips that aren't greasy. I've moved away from flounder to the Blue Grenadier which my partner introduced me too. The others settled for the standard fried flake and chips. Must also add they have great old time burgers - go for the one with the lot. Its a busy shop but your wait will be worth it. Perpetually tasty fresh food gets rewarded with lots of return customers.

This is still the best fish and chips around as I moved to Doreen but still go back for the best. They continue to provide good quality fish and chips and are always happy to see you.

The food was fresh and well cooked. The batter was nice and crisp and portions were generous. The dog loved some of the chips :) The prices are cheaper than many other places nearby.

Very friendly staff have been running this place for years. Best in town and four miles around. Everything is fried in clean oil and not dripping with it. Burgers and souvlaki are also really good here. Prices are pretty standard, and service is always as quick as can be. Would highly recommend.

I would not purchase fish & chips from this place again. Besides the fish & chips tasting of stale oil & not at all appetizing they didn't supply my chips & when I rang them the guy I spoke to was actually rude. So they will not get my business again. Cathy

Very disappointed in the business. Spent over a half an hour ringing through just to be put on hold. Went down to Whittlesea to order in person but it was closed due to Chinese New year!!! Please update Google opening times to reflect this in the future.

Perfect fish and chips. Traditional style like they were years ago. The founder was making fish and chips 45+ years ago in Lalor. The new owners have not changed a thing, they are just like they should be.

Best Fish and chips in town by a long shot. Was sad to see the last owners go but the new guys are kicking on strong. Always tastes fresh. Staff are always polite and a pleasure to deal with.

The staff here are very friendly & always smiling, any fish & chip shop has a wait & this one is worth the wait. Had fish & chips elsewhere & this is the most reasonably priced by far.

My favourite fish and chip shop in Whittlesea. I'm always greeted with a friendly smile and helpful service. Good quality fish and well made burgers

Be prepared to wait a while but this place is good food! The fact that it's working non stop is an indication it's popular. Enjoyed my dinner a lot!

$7 for a minimum chips. Prices went up fair enough, but just a bit of price gouging. No longer the cheaper alternative

The best fish and chips in Melbourne. We travel 25kms for the burgers and potato cakes they're the best.
