I got my car serviced here 3 weeks ago and its been a complete downwards spiral since then! The last time my car was in the mechanics was 2 years ago when my the previous owner under a different business name change my timing chain. Jose was recommended by the previous owner, so i took the chance. When i took my car in for a service i did advise my left indicator light was not working. Upon collection of my car he assured me he changed the bulb including a number plate bulb also. Got a mile down the road, indicated left and my indicator light wasn't working! I messaged him straight away, he took 3 days to reply, he apologised for the delay and quite casually replied and asked me to bring the car in a few days. Before i could arrange a convenient time to take it back in, the car began feeling sluggish and sounded like it was very slightly misfiring. A week after my full service the engine management light came on, i rang him and i took it back in the same day. I was told there were 3 fault codes and first he would change the camshaft sensor and take it from there. He change the camshaft sensor and the left indicator bulb light. Bearing in mind he didn't even test drive the car before or after to see if there was any difference, or suggest i bring it back if it still feels sluggish. Feeling a bit anxious about if the car was going to be ok i headed home. 2 days after i started up the car and it cut out and heavily shuddered, the battery light came on as well as engine management light, smoke coming out of the exhaust. I rang jose to let him know and he said it could be a number of things and possibly the alternator, but can't be sure which is understandable! So my gut told me to get another mechanic to have a look after 2 days i was told the engine has no compression and advise to get a new one. Rang jose back 2 days ago to see if he could give a second opinion, no canswer and no call back! Spoke to a VW specialist and was advised i need a new timing chain and that this should have been the 1st go to as the camshaft sensor fault including the other 2 correlates with this, he has also advised that this time i might have damaged the engine from still driving after jose's advisory. To say I'm annoyed is to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this garage at all. We all need proper, thorough diagnostics and if they cannot supply this then he shouldn't be advising at all. I could have saved so much by just replacing the chain from a VW dealership rather than beating around the bush with this garage. If i bring my car to a mechanic i expect them to know what there talking about and if not point me in the right direction. Jose and his team do seem nice and polite, but that is overlooked when your receiving a half a*****d diagnostic! Never again!

Jose is an excellent professional whom is abundantly experienced and qualified. He always works in a punctual professional manner and always has left mey vehicle feeling as good a new. As a woman i dont really understand much about cars and he is always willing to explain and support me with any problems im having. Not only is he willing to check over any lights that appear randomly but he is always willing to fix any issues im having. Very impressed with the service from Stars Garage. Jose was polite and friendly, and clearly knows his stuff. I took my car in to help diagnose a problem - they gave it a thorough look, kept me updated. Am extra nice touch was an online portal they linked to, which informed me what they'd done and included a video of the issue they identified with my exhaust. Not at all pushy, they offered me a few options for sorting the issue, booked it in and carried out the work quickly. Would definitely recommend based on my experience.

After months of being messed about by warranty, a friend of mine recommended Stars garage and my only regret is not having reached out sooner. I live near this garage and if you could hear how they abuse their customers cars you would think twice about using them... drag racing up and down their driveway, revving the engines to the point of cracking exhausts and generally just abusing the cars... if it were me I'd avoid this place like the plague...
