I regret to share a deeply unsatisfactory experience at Steel House to forewarn fellow travelers. My recent stay has been a nightmare, and I feel obligated to share the following: 1. Non-Functional Pool: Despite the enticing promise of a pool, it has been under maintenance for the entire duration of my stay, a crucial amenity that heavily influenced my choice of this hotel. 2. Abrupt Cancellation of Magic Show: Adding to the disappointment, a scheduled magic show was abruptly canceled at the last minute, leaving our children disheartened. 3. Poor Communication: The lack of proactive communication from the staff regarding the pool closure and event cancellation further heightened our frustration. 4. Ignored Refund Request: Despite expressing our concerns, requests for a partial refund were met with indifference, indicating a lack of commitment to guest satisfaction. 5. Inadequate Room Conditions: The rooms were dirty, moldy, and exceptionally small, lacking basic amenities such as hangers for coats or regular clothes. Cleaning occurred only every four days, contributing to an overall uncomfortable stay. In conclusion, my stay at Steel House has been a complete disaster. I strongly advise considering alternative accommodations to avoid the disappointment and inconvenience that we’ve experienced. This review aims to caution others and, hopefully, prompt the necessary improvements from Steel House.

The stay here wasn't bad at all. Still, it's the type of place that looks very shiny but is actually below the standard of most European hostels. For one thing, cleaning is only once every four days. All other hostels I've stayed in, including urban house in Copenhagen, clean daily. With a shared bathroom between six people and close quarters, you can imagine how the room might get in that time. The room was also quite small for six beds. It reminded me a bit of a train car. So it could get quite hot in the night, especially since the window only opens a few centimetres. You also have to pay for amenities that appear included, like the kitchen and pool. It was still an alright stay. The bed was fine and felt private. The shower was better than many I've seen. But if you're staying in Copenhagen, I recommend Urban House instead. Similar pricing but you'll be better taken care of.

The hostel itself is GREAT. You have everything you need. Great location, food available 24/7 (there’s a bar/coffee shop) with coffee, beer, sandwiches and all you may need. They also have laundry (paid), lockers (paid) and even arcades (paid), gym(paid) and a swimming pool (paid). Copenhagen is VERY expansive, so this is the best you’ll find for the price. The common area is great if you need to do some remote work. Internet worked pretty well for me and I spent hours there. The rooms here though.. they’re very small a d narrow. If you’re not so lucky, like me, you may face some unorganized roommates, which will make your experience complicated. However, there are lockers and id you’re faced by the lack of space, just put your thinks in the lockers and you’ll be fine! The only thing I believe they could improve is the room cleaning process. They were not so clean..

Great hostel for a reasonably price in a great location. I would say most things in Copenhagen are walkable from this hostel and very close to Tivoli. I didn't have to use public transport once apart from to and from the airport. The hostel is very good value. It is modern, clean and has great facilities. The rooms are on the 'cosy' side - everything is a bit cramped, including the shower room but this wasn't so much of an issue for me but may be for others. The pool is on the smaller side - fine if only one or two of you are swimming but if its much busier then you will get in each other's way! I didn't bother with the gym. Breakfast deals on offer which are really reasonable. Lots of social activities available too. This hostel has something for everyone - solo, groups, families. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone considering staying here!

Beautiful looking, centrally located (short walk from Central Station), modern hostel with bar, kitchen and swimming pool. I decided to not use the pool, as the window made me feel on display. The pool and access to the kitchen costs 20 kr. The rooms are nice and modern and the beds very comfortable. But there's no privacy curtain and you have to bring your own padlock for the locker or buy it there (I just put my luggage by my feet). And the top bunk is not easy to get in and out of. They don't really pay attention to special requests when booking. But luckily their staff are super helpful and accommodating. All in all, definitely worth it for the price. It's truly luxury compared to most hostels. And affordable. And I love that you can choose female only rooms. Big thumbs up

Loved the rooms, the people, the atmosphere, the facilities, the staff. A wonderful experience through and through! We got to meet two wonderful persons from different countries through the room sharing, who later on became our friends and ended up spending every diner and evening with them. The staff was also very kind and helpful for any kind of recommendation (restaurant, clubs...) And the bar, open 24h, offers some pretty interesting prices !! There's also a pool, a kitchen and a gym The only downside is that there isn't much space between the beds in the room so you have to be organised to open multiple luggage at the same time.

I had a good stay at steel house. It’s a friendly student like campus with lots of young people and many things to do. The price was very good compared to the surroundings and the room was clean and nice. The fact that you have the bathroom in the room it’s a good thing, but can become a bit annoying by the night because of the lights and noise. The beds could’ve used some curtains and that would’ve solved the problem easily. Otherwise, steel house it’s a good choice if you want to enjoy Copenhagen on a budget

Excellent location, next door parking (210dkk per day), friendly staff. I wasn't soo keen on the rooms, they were too small, especially the bathroom. I would have been happier if I was in my 20s. The ground floor is very spacious and there is a nice game room. They have a good bar and a lot of activities happening, so it gets very busy in the evenings. There is a small pool and gym but I didn't check if it was free to use. I found the mattress a little soft for me. There is a kitchen that can be used for 20 dkk per person. Coffee is decent. This hotel feels more suited for a younger crowd (in their 20s)

My wife and I stayed in Steel House for a night when visiting Copenhagen last week and couldn’t recommend it more. It is located near the train station and just a short walk from the main attractions in the city. There are lots of activities and events for the guests, recommendations of what to do while in the city, great facilities and helpful / friendly staff. We’ll definitely go back to Steel House in the future when visiting Copenhagen again.

The most embarrassing thing of this hostel is having to pay for the kitchen, never ever experience anything like this. Of course also the gym and the pool are for pay, but that is understandable since they are small and otherwise would get overcrowded very easily. The room (dormitory for 6) is also super small compared to most of the hostels i visited, and with 1 toilet and 1 shower for everyone you often have to wait your turn. Also the stairs to the upper bed aren't very convinient, if you decide to come to this hostel at least make sure to ask for a bottom bed.

Amazing hostel!!!! Can totally recommend it. It's super clean, has a nice interior, great rooms, offers a lot of activities, has a nice little gym and pool, and lots of games you can play. It's perfectly located, the city isn't far, the Tivoli gardens are in a distance of a 5 minute walk and the main train station is also just about 5 minutes away.

If you looking for a decent place for couple of nights then this is the one. Not that fancy but definitely serve the purpose. Close to town center and restaurants and bars. Mostly suitable for bachelors and couple not suggestible for younger kids. You get the facilities like TV room, cinema hall, gym, pool and kitchen can be used with some extra added cost.

Steel House hostel is in a great location, very central to most attractions and only a few minutes walk from one of the train stations. We stayed in a 6 person dorm which was neat and the beds were spacious, although no privacy curtain. The bathroom and toilet were clean. You will have to pay additional fees to use the kitchen, the pool, the gym, the lockers, etc. The lockers in particular were quite expensive, charged in blocks of 3 / 6 / 24 hours.

Very nice hostel with great vibes. Stylish and nice socialising offers. We stayed 5 days. Our room was clean and all quiet even though the hotel was fully booked and packed. Also the kitchen which we used every day was clean. The rooms are however super small and very little space for stuff. That could be better. Location is super.

Overall a new and modern hostel with good facilities and rooms. However, getting a bit worn out here and there (not too bad). The room felt a bit musty and stuffy. Very similar to Next House Copenhagen but would say that Next House feels a bit newer and fresh. So would prefer Next House over Steel House for my next stay.

The rooms, while being really modern and good looking are very small. For 6 people there is just simply not enough space. The bathroom doors even when closed leave a crack, through which someone in the room could see. The location is great, like a 10min walk to the main station. For the price its still a great choice.

It's a good place when you need a place to stay for a night or two. We took a private room and found it decent value. Hostel's facilities are far more luxurious than any other hostel I've seen before. Not sure how I'd feel about sharing with strangers though! The pool is on the smaller side but nice to have. Low prices with a comfortable bed and good bathroom, Although you have to pay extra to use the amenities (storage, swimming pool & gym) it's still an amazing deal. I stayed 3 nights in a private double room. Room is tiny but cozy and quite. The hostel is just next to a s-train station but all the main sites are at walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hostel, a good quality/price ratio.
