To whom it may concern, I am writing this email with profound disappointment regarding the Mother's Day gift package I recently ordered for my mother at your spa. Last year's experience was exceptional when I purchased a gift card for my mother, including a back massage and other treatments. Based on that wonderful experience, I decided to go the extra mile this year and ordered a higher package, expecting an even more indulgent and relaxing time for my mother. Unfortunately, the reality was far from our expectations. When my mother visited your spa and availed the gift package, she was shocked to find that there was no back massage included, despite it being one of the highlights of her previous visit. It was disheartening to see such a crucial component missing from the supposedly upgraded package. Adding to the disappointment, the hot stones used during the treatment were barely lukewarm, rendering them ineffective and robbing my mother of the therapeutic benefits she eagerly anticipated. The noticeable drop in treatment quality left her unsatisfied and far from the blissful experience she deserved. I have always recommended your spa to my friends and family due to the outstanding service we received in the past. But after this letdown, I find it challenging to uphold your spa's reputation. I cannot stress enough how essential it is for your spa to uphold the quality and consistency of services offered, especially when customers opt for higher-tier packages. Such a downgrade in service not only tarnishes your brand but also disappoints loyal patrons like me. I trust that your spa values customer satisfaction and will take immediate action to prevent similar occurrences in the future. Your team needs to be more careful when processing and delivering gift packages to ensure that customers receive the experience they are promised and deserve. I sincerely hope that you will rectify this situation for my mother. She did not receive the experience she was looking forward to and deserves an apology and a proper resolution. Your prompt response is anticipated, outlining how you plan to address this matter and ensure my mother's disappointment is remedied. If you’re not living in Cleveland, you must first experience the drive to find Stephanies. Winding roads, up & down hills, constantly checking Google - where the hell am I …? “You have arrived” .. ??? Where th…? Oh… yep, I see it! Convincingly disguised as an upmarket country style gift shop, located in a residential, tree lined street …& adjacent to a large RSL car park. Stephanies, you cannot hide…Google will hunt you down and Google will find you. - We pushed our way through trinkets, cards, gifts and essential over priced luxury items to arrive at check in with a receptionists who, at a guess, was overwhelmed herself with the chaos of the room in which she spends her days. Check in was swift, robes dished out and we were shown the changing room where my friend and I made space to change together in a communal bathroom inclusive of toilet..? (ok, I mention this because a toilet perhaps shouldn’t be in the same space, private toilets are a necessity and should not be in the communal locker area…just sayin’) - Massage experience - divine. The room, the table, the towels - most importantly the massage! 5 stars right there. - Items they could improve on: Selecting crystals for your massage could be completed when you are sitting in your robe filling in your massage waiver. Not when you’re already in your darkened room trying to read the fine print on the exciting claims of what each rock does for you from a tiny (battered) card. You must choose 7…! This is great, but taking up precious massage minutes…! seperate toilet. Stephenies has so many rooms and spaces for sitting, and massaging …surely a toilet space is achievable…? place a wall or a screen between guests and the kitchen area. Nothing ruins the mystique of where my champagne and sorbet is coming from than actually seeing it come out of the fridge where the staff also clearly keep their lunch. maybe reign in the gift shop explosion. - The staff were friendly, the space is clean, there are a few minor improvements they could easily look at, but these things are sometimes hard to control/improve upon. Parking - plenty of street parking & some on site spaces, and also - huge RSL car park right next door…who would have thought…?

We came today for a Steam Temple experience and couples massage. We were told to not sit on one part of the seating area as that shot steam out of a crack in the tile bench, as the session started we realised the steam vents on the floor were extremely extremely hot to the point where you couldn't sit on 50% of the seat and I almost burnt myself on multiple occassions on my hand and face as the steam was so hot. I realised this wasn't normal and left the room to find someone to help, they sent someone from reception who advised us that we weren't able to sit over the vents at all, meaning 50% of the seat was unable to be used. He also advised we should have been told that. I again expressed that it was overly hot and almost burnt me on multiple occasions. He felt the seat and said it's fine, the steam hadn't been going for some time and the doors had been open so of course the seat felt fine by then. I asked if we could finish the session early and he said no it was on a timed automated thing. We spent the rest of the time with the doors open, huddled well away from the vents. It was extremely uncomfortable. The massages were fine. At the end when paying I thought someone would speak to me about the experience, to see if I was okay or had hurt myself. But no, I only was able to speak to a manager when there was an issue with validating my parking ticket. She was very apologetic and was the person that showed us the room in the first instance, and said no we should have been able to sit over the vent but not put our feet on it. I expressed how extremely hot and uncomfortable the steam was, well over the appropriate temperature. I was given two $25 vouchers off my next treatment which I really didn't need, also that they would get it checked out to see if there was anything wrong with the room. I would rather not have had to have paid for the pleasure of almost being burnt for 40mins. At half price of $150 for two of us, I would really encourage Stephanie's to ensure that the room is immediately closed and tested to ensure the safety of their clientele before anyone is injured.

Wow...I spent about four hours at the spa yesterday with some girlfriends before a catch up dinner and it was soooo relaxing i had to leave this review to talk about all the things that often go unsaid! I'm still floating today.. It started in the Opal Rasul Steam Temple where my friend and I were given a loofah to brush our skin.. I then painted myself with a range of muds and we sat chatting in the hot steam temple until a light rain shower started to let us know it was time for our next experience.. just divine! We then headed off to our own massages and facials. I chose the Signature Skin Treatment which started with a firm, relaxing hot stone back, shoulder and neck massage (OMG.. Elisa.. you are the best!) and finished with layer upon layer of the most beautifully scented products that left my face feeling plump and fresh like a new baby. Elisa talked with me about some of the products she was using and I opted for an additional eye mask during my facial. (I also purchased an eye serum that she had talked about when I left because I wasn't using one at home.) What a beautiful day.. I loved popping into the relaxation room in between the treatments where we all had the chance to catchup between our treatments and the soft cushy robes as well as the teas and mango sorbets were just the cherry on top! Loved it Loved it Loved it. Five stars. A huge Thankyou to all the staff for a lovely lovely day... we will see you all again real soon. xo

Auto lockers are a bit of a headache. A lady checking out of the change room came and opened my sister's locked locker with her code just as we were about to leave for our treatments. We felt they were not sufficiently secure and the other guest was quite distraught of her missing items so we tried to assist her. Some time later the massage therapist that came in looking for us was quite abrupt trying to hurry us along. My mother felt she could have offered assistance or concern instead of telling us how booked up she was. She emphasised she was booked back to back. Then another therapist came in with her swipe card and opened all the lockers trying to find this other lady's clothes and handbag. It's pretty off putting that they expected us to happily leave when they were opening all the lockers with our purses ect in them. We were on time originally but our massages for the four of us were all cut short by 10mins. No apology, acknowledgement, or anything. I was still charged for the full hour as well. Pretty disappointing- when paying top dollar I think it's fair to expect top customer service.

We went to Stephanie’s as part of a romantic Bastille day. It truely is a beautiful place with great staff and service. We booked the Opal steam room for 2 which we could not recommend enough - it was stunning different beautiful romantic and potentially therapeutic in some manner I’m sure - and worth trying if you have the chance. Then we had a couples massage and relaxed in lounge room with champagne. Leave plenty of time with your booking to enjoy the spa outside or the lounge before or after your booking. The reception team were tops - there was big guy on for the day - that really was quite thoughtful and positive several times - as well Stacey - whom I thought was a real stand out for service and making you feel welcome when I was making the initial Enquiries and booking. If you feel the package is a bit expensive - I have to add it is - but my partner thought it was the most romantic date of her life - which meant it ended up being great value and a beautiful day.

Firstly my actual treatment was lovely by Wilson, but this should be a complete experience from walking in the door not just in the treatment room!! I was gifted to this package by my sister and mum as a group. We were all given very different experiences ranging from mum absolutely loving her beautiful treatment to mine being good and my sisters being absolutely horrible which put a complete damper on the overall experience leaving us feeling disappointed. In the past Stephanie’s at the Sofitel has been absolutely delightful from the moment you walk in but I would say this time it was not more than a 3 star experience for me considering the amount of money one pays for treatments here you should not leave feeling let down. It’s a shame that 1 person can have such a different experience to another when booking the same treatment, this is something that Stephanie’s could work on is making sure that all staff are trained to give the same amazing experience to each person.

From the moment I arrived, straight from a delayed flight from Sydney, I knew I was about to have a great experience when the team member at the front desk greeted me with a big smile and said: "Bonjour, welcome to Stephanies". What an experience it was! Luxury, all the way and my therapist, was meticulous in every step of delivery my treatment and so caring and nurturing. It was a breath of fresh air to have my name used, rather than being called 'darling' which seems to be standard practice in so many businesses these days. The entire spa is clean, fresh, comfortable and there was nothing left out from my welcome tea and ritual to the most delicious mango sorbet I have ever tried at the end of my treatment in the relaxation room. If I were a Brisbane local, every gift I purchased in the future would be a gift voucher from Stephanies for family and friends because I know, without a doubt, they would be in excellent hands. My girlfriends and I went to Noosa for a weekend away and treated ourselves to relaxing massages and a few optional extras! The staff spoke to us with a genuine smile on their face not to mention their impeccable knowledge and professionalism. Overall, a wonderful experience! We simply cannot wait for our next visit at Stephanies when the Sofitel reopens to the public once again! Stephanies at the Sofitel finally reopened so my girlfriend and I treated ourselves to a day off. The experience was FABULOUS, the massages amazing, we loved the spa and pool facilities and the bathrooms are next level not to mention the opulent ambiance! We had a scrumptious lunch by the pool but were a little disappointed we couldn't order the High Tea as it needs to be booked 24 hours beforehand so don't you forget to do it! Overall, a must do, take the day off, gather all your girlfriends and celebrate your friendships!

Pamper days are the best and Stephanie’s Brisbane Central is still the best place to have an amazing experience. My sister, my daughter and I wanted serious pampering to celebrate birthdays and remove the stresses from a hectic year. From the moment we arrived, Gentle staff, secure lockers, the softest white robes replaced our clothes. The private Azure steam temple was unique - we loved it! Between therapies we drank herbal tea in the Tranquil room. Our therapists took us to individual treatment rooms where they expertly exfoliated, massaged our bodies, and gave us facials which left our skin glowing and radiant. High tea served in a little area off The Tranquil room was a fitting end to the experience. Stephanie’s is conveniently located, well appointed, and their staff know what they are doing and love what they do - that for me is the reason I am returning for another pamper day soon xo

I consider myself a massage connoisseur (I get a massage at least one a week) Now I've recently moved up here from canberra and was looking for 'My new spot' I had a friend with good taste but me a voucher here for my birthday. Sure it isn’t as cheap as some of the Thai places down back ally ways but I was pleasantly surprised and this massage was worth every penny. It wasn’t just a massage - it was an experience. To say Ivan is a masseuse is an injustice. What he does is a level above a message. His skill and knowledge that only comes from someone that's passionate about what she does and he does experience second to none. She showed me an experience I didn't know existed and after working long days I finally feel relaxed and have had amazing sleep. 10/10 Couldn't recommend him enough and can't wait for my next appointment.

My most recent visit, I had a facial and my therapist LEFT THE ROOM 3 TIMES - each for over 5 to 10 minutes. This I thought was ridiculous. I paid for this time. Was it that she had forgotten items? Surely not 3 times though. Everything you need should be in the room. You should also NOT LEAVE THE ROOM to let the face mask 'dry or develop' . I have been going to Stephanie's in the CBD for some years now and have spent a fair amount on treatments and products. Each time I go, the service quality decreases to a point now where I think that I will be going elsewhere for my special pamper treatments. I want to go to a day spa to relax - not think about where my therapist is during my treatment...

What an amazing spa experience! The staff are all super friendly, professional and talented! The spa facilities are very luxurious and make you feel like you’re being pampered from start to finish! The best part of the experience was the Opal Rasul Steam Temple! It’s beautifully designed and the various mud masques were exquisite! The only complaint would be the location of the steam vent as even though it looks like it will fit quite a few people, it’s quite crowded when you have to shimmy away from the steam vent. If it was off to the side, you could get more friends in without the worry of the steam vent proximity. But overall, such a magical experience and will definitely return!

Pampering by Stephanie's Spa Sofitel is the most exquisite experience. The full body essential massage with hot stones, the back scrub, the facial... all excellent. The treatment rooms are super private, very comfortable and lush with candles and essential oils. Arrive early to chill out in the gorgeous lounge waiting area, and leave plenty of time after your treatments to kick back there with a pot of tea, refreshing gelato to bring you back to reality, or a high tea with friends by the Sofitel pool. Usually booked out a week in advance, or longer when closer to Christmas season, you may have to wait!

From the time I arrived at the spa to when I left I felt like royalty! The spa staffs care and attention was amazing. It was my birthday and I booked for a Decadence for the feet pedicure every staff member that I crossed paths with wished me a happy birthday, I felt like an old friend not just a new client. Having pedicures are the ultimate luxury for me and I can say that I have never had a more luxurious pedicure in my life!! From the massage chair to the paraffin mask and hot stone massage this was a thing of pure decadence and luxury. My first visit definitely won't be my last

I refuse to go to any other spa for my treatments now. Stephanie’s at the Sofitel is one of the most amazing spa’s I’ve been to. Every single one of the therapists are so lovely and attentive. I’ve gone there for pedicures, manicures, massages, facials, and every single time I leave feeling incredible. I was there this morning for a facial with Ivan, and my skin has never looked or felt better. I highly recommend everyone goes there for a treatment at least once, otherwise you’ll be missing out on the best relaxation of your life.

What an experience. Firstly entering the spa I was greeted by an extremely lovely staff member. I was then taken to change into the workds comfiest robe and massaging thongs. I went into a lounge area to wait for my team were I had a tea. Lucy introduced herself and took me into the room. This is where I entered paradise. I had a luxurious massage and facial. It even included a scalp massage. I went in feeling tired and sore to feeling rejuvenated and fresh. It was finished off with a lavender tea and chocolate. 5/5

Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. We spent an hour in the steam temple, which was one of the best steam therapy saunas I have ever been in! Temperature was perfect and the shower is almost how we imagine our dream bathroom. The masques they provide feel great on the skin, and the atmosphere is so relaxing. My absolute favourite place to relax and unwind when I need a little 'me' time. The staff are so welcoming, professional and just overall wonderful and I just feel so pampered whenever I visit. I highly recommend their signature facial or high performance facials. Best facial treatment I've had in Brisbane. Shout out to amazing front man Ivan and my favourite therapist Sakhouen! Ivan and Stacey from Stephanie’s at Brisbane Sofitel are wonderful! I booked my friend in for an hour massage to celebrate her saying yes to being my daughters godmother. The booking was very last minute and because I couldn’t get in also, they put me up in the very relaxing tranquility lounge with some herbal tea. Great service from the team and lovely experience. Will be coming back for some mummy relaxation time for sure!

My cousin and I had a day spa treatment and the package itself was amazing and worth it however the price for the sauna was over priced. To say that you're offered a $20 pass implys it will cost $20 not a $20 dollar discount and to be told that we miss read it is wrong as it wasn't our fault it was incorrectly worded. That being said no appolgy was given we were just given the impression we read it wrong and that's it.

Always a high quality and relaxing experience here. Every staff member is so calm, polite and just lovely! My partner are I are now go monthly because we just adore the place and the staff! The services are great and the little things they do before and after your treatment just add so much to the overall experience, it's fantastic. Would highly recommend to everyone I know and the memberships are so worthwhile!

Spoilt to the max. The spa itself has a calming environment, the therapist certainly catered to my needs and made me feel very pampered. Took the 3 hour package, rose petal foot soak, hot stone massage, facial, pedicure and scalp massage with oil. Heck we deserve it! My therapist was outstanding and an asset to the salon. Will be back next time in Brisbane. Oh and follow with a high tea, just perfect.

I spent the most amazing afternoon at this beautiful spa on Monday! ...... The Opal Rasul Steam Temple was just divine, a combination of mud masks, steam and gentle rain shower. My 90 minute massage was probably the best massage I have ever had, my therapist Rodette was amazing. I would highly recommend this little peace of heaven, the perfect place to relax, unwind and take a breath from everything.

Whenever I stay at the Sofitel, Stephanie's is my go to place for a time of destressing, relaxation and rejuvenation. From the moment you walk in, you're given a warm and friendly welcome from an old friend, Ivan the terrific, really nurturing and pampering time from really professional and skilful therapists, in our case, our thanks go to Sakhoen and Lucy. For me, Sephanies sets the bar.

Unfortunately my pedicure was of poor quality. Since I had chosen a very neutral pale pink I did not realize until closer inspection that the application was poor. Only at that point did I also notice that some of the toenails were just clipped and not even properly shaped . Simply not what one would expect from a supposed high end spa. Definitely will not be returning.

My husband and I had the best experience on Sunday with Ivan and Bianca. They were attentive, did a great job were very knowledgeable. We have been lucky enough to go to many places to visit spas around the world and in my husbands words no one comes close to the massage Ivan did. NAILED IT! Thankyou again can’t recommend highly enough and deserves more than 5 stars

I recently had my first post-Covid appointment in about 4 years, and as always Stephanie’s and its fabulous therapists did not disappoint. My treatments were the relaxing and invigorating the treat I needed for some me time. As I remembered staff were extremely helpful and professional. I can not recommend Stephanie’s Day Spa at the Sofitel highly enough.

We booked in for a girls day out and from start to finish Stephanie’s were amazing! They accommodated our group of six on the time and date we wanted. The treatments were divine! Nothing was too much trouble and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed. We finished up with the champagne high tea by the pool! Thanks so much to Stephanie and her staff!

One of the worst treatments I've ever had. Walked away feeling worse. The therapist gave me a 40min treatment when it was supposed to be an hour, she hardly touched me, used no essential oils and didn't make me feel like any type of goddess. Don't waste your money, don't get the goddess package and don't ask for MiMi!!

Had a great time here celebrating my mothers bday and treating Her like a Queen. Our selection was a 1.30hr facial and massive plus high tea for 2. The Staff was amazing and so accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. Thanks for singing happy bday with us, we are grateful for you!

The experience is amazing, relaxing, value for money, service is excellent and you feel taken care of every minute. I can’t begin to tell you how amazing the steam temple was, the most happy and relaxed I’ve been in the longest time. Had a lovely time at Stephanie's Spa Retreat at the Sofitel. The staff were welcoming and friendly and my massage therapist was informative the whole way. I'm heavily pregnant so it was lovely to be spoilt before baby comes. The venue was lovely and the robes super soft. Highly recommend!

I had a 90 minute body massage and facial. The therapist, Lucy, was absolutely amazing! I always request firm when asked how much pressure I like and she did a fantastic job. The atmosphere was perfect, and my body feels incredibly rejuvenated. I will definitely come back. Thank you!

I have had many facials in my life and I must say that Loti is by far the best that I've ever had. Soo gentle and thoughtful. I cannot recommend Stephanies enough. It is first class service and I always leave there floating and my face glowing. I will be returning in the near future.

My mum and I went to Stephanie’s day spa in Brisbane. We had the most amazing experience. We were both taken care of and both felt like our beauty therapist were 100% committed to our treatment time. It was clean and smelt great with everything we needed. Parking was easy.

A great place to have a bridal party spa day. The massage and food scrub were incredible. Delicious afternoon tea and atmosphere! Some of the girls found the staff a bit heavy on the upselling though.
