"I DONT EVEN WANNA GIVE IT ONE STAR , this place deserves -2 ! I just stopped by today at 3:30pm from picking up my best friend from the airport , I went to use the bathroom and get a quick snack , the girl Zam on cash register 5 literally sprayed the cleaning product they use to wipe the registers in my face and they doesn’t even apologize, she stated she wasn’t aiming for me , IM 5 months pregnant!!! Anyone will common sense would tell somebody to step to the side if spraying any harsh cleaning supply in that direction, and the fact that she didn’t even apologize, shows she doesn’t have awareness of her surroundings, common courtesy, even my friend had a bad experience with the lady at the end of the register, the worker refused to get the price of an orange juice that was not ringing up on her end , she had us walk back even though we knew the price , to get an non organic juice that wasn’t even my friends preference which is bias!!!! And very lazy of that worker!!! For a place that supposed to stop and shop !!!! I don’t EVER WANNA STOP HERE OR ANY OTHER LOCATIONS !! I’ll stick to Whole Foods"

"This location is the worst"
This store at one time was excellent, customer service was really pleasant and helpful. As a disabled person it was nice to know they always had working scooters and the employee's we're exceptionally helpful. This store which is one of the original Stop and Shop stores, not one taken over from Pathmark, has DECLINED BADLY. No one cares how the store is run. Was there today, shelves are empty, although going there is now always hit and miss. Customer Service was nasty, rude and lied about what they had told me before I wasted my time shopping. ( I ended up leaving and I refuse to patronize this store EVER again.) If you are disabled they are very handicapped UNFRIENDLY. Between all the racks of displays lined up all over the store and the merchants stocking shelves with BIG carts it is almost impossible to go up and down the aisles. Many times I have found food for sale that has passed it's sell by, or expiration date. Now that they have become as large as they are since taking over all the Pathmark Stores they have become just another corporation that doesn't give a damn about their costumers. Save yourself the time and frustration off going to THIS stop and shop.

My neighborhood supermarket. The prices are excellent except in the produce department. The bakery isn't a large one and I haven't really used it. Pharmacy is something I don't use at this store. The grocery department has a nice selection but not overwhelming. I expect to spend a way too long amount of time every time I go there. There's never enough registers open. The lines are always long. So if you're already there for an hour by the time you get on line expect to spend at least another hour. The employees for the most part are eager to please. The deli staff will bend over backwards to help. I like the fact that they'll reccomend something and then let you taste it. I enjoy my visits to this store. The only sad thing is that sometimes other customers aren't nice people. I avoid those types as best as possible. This is Brooklyn so it's difficult to avoid the people who feel that no matter the situation they should always be treated as if they're the only there. Otherwise I always choose this over other supermarkets in my neighborhood
My experience here has been fair.. Most of the cashiers are so sweet, there’s this one cashier in particular who I think actually likes her job. But you see, there’s also cashiers like the two I’m about to mention. That woman I mentioned earlier was offered a tip, which she declined because you’re not supposed to accept tips, so the customer offered the tip to somebody else, which they accepted. Another cashier wouldn’t stop scanning items and was mixing the groceries of me and the person who was behind me, when I got to the car, I noticed the slim Jim I bought wasn’t there. She gave my slim Jim to the other person, something I paid for. I went to customer service and was told she does that all the time, they gave me a replacement slim Jim. Another time while checking out the meat section, I witnessed a man putting multiple packs of meat in a plastic bag and walk out of the store. It had to be at least $100 worth of meat, and he got away with it. I told somebody after, and I don’t think they did anything about it.
This location is the worst. I went there today 3/21/22 in the morning to grab a few things and when I get to the deli counter I grabbed a number and waited to be called. I didn’t want to interrupt the older lady slicing cause i did not want to distract her using the slicing machine. She looks at me about 5 or 6 times and then finally tells me are you standing there for something!? Very rudely. I told her yes I’m waiting to be called and with an attitude tells me we’ll you have to tell me you want something not just stand there. Uhhh no miss your main job is customer service first you saw me grab a number and you consistently looked at me standing there so it’s your job to approach me and say may I help you. Not give me attitude and make me feel as if I’m in the wrong. So I left all my groceries and took my business elsewhere. If you need deli products and you see an older Jamaican woman with glasses working there I advise you to keep it moving unless you want your day to be ruined by a disgruntled employee.
shopping wagons are so much better, love there soda deals will never buy cold cuts last time I tried the guy was not wearing ik ng his mask back when vaccine first came out and he was just telling his co worker how he wasnt feeling good ,when I asked him he he could put his mask up he said he was vaccinated I said ok but ypu can still spread it amd ypu just said you were sick he said ok what ever ,I them walked away amd never went back to the deli again ,what ashamed aside fr otto n that one person who was new at that time, I've never had any xlcompaints with deli or anyone everyone was nice except that older lady with the short blond hair she got upset and attitude because unwanted to bag my own food ...but I give her respect because she is old and working when she should be retired and relaxing
I went to the 2 Stop & Shop locations this year and I was very angry at them. The first one was at the Atlantic Avenue location, and the second one was at the Cropsey Avenue location. Both of these locations had spoiled frozen dinners even though they were not expired!! This is an outrage and a disgrace because the owner of these stores must be out of his mind. I really hope that he will go out of business, and that it will happen very soon. Now I will only go to Brighton Beach for all my grocery shopping since I am going there for a long time now. There are a lot of grocery stores in that area, and they are Net Cost Market, Samarkand Bazaar, and Tashkent Supermarket. I don't need this rotten Stop & Shop stores anymore since all of them will be history very very soon!! AMEN!!
I came here to pick up some groceries for the week. The supermarket had tons of ample of parking space. We came an hour before the supermarket closing but we were able to enter without issue. The store already started their closing down process and most of the lights were dimmed and some of the aisles were closed. The store was clean and mostly organized okay. I was able to find most of the items I needed with accurate pricing. The cashier was quick but I wish it easier to see the sales price of items when being rung up. It would show the marked price and then the discount would appear when the cashier would close out the tab. If you got a lot of times like I did, you would have to spend time going through a long receipt to make sure the prices were correct.
As far as stock is concerned this store is great. And most of the time the staff is friendly and helpful. However during this whole covid situation this store has been rather lack luster. I understand wanting to keep the staff safe and that makes perfect sense. What I do not understand is how they close all of the self checkout lines and only leave 2 registers open. I am on this line right now to check out and it has wrapped around almost 3 isles. This is unacceptable and there is no distancing happening on this line. The staff here is very nice but the management and daily organizers need to be retrained or changed out all together and the store needs to be better equipped for the situation.
I love the Stop & Shop in middle village, Queens, and when we moved the Brooklyn I had high hopes. This location isn’t as good unfortunately. They do not have as robust a produce or meat selection but still decent - we typically get all we need. Honestly the worst part of shopping here is a cashier who typically works Sunday’s when we shop. I actively avoid her lane when I can because she so so clearly hates her job and is more concerned about wiping down her register than having even 1% effort toward being friendly. Not one customer service bone in her body. One bad apple… If all the cashiers were like this, I would absolutely pick a different supermarket.
Honestly don't see how this location gets any stars there customer service and employees are Great but the fruit section is always empty and bakery department isn't fresh like any other location in Brooklyn or staten island I thot years ago when they took over pathmark it would change but it's horrible the other local stop&shop is better also shopright this has good location but horrible Butcher department and fresh produce department are ridiculousnot Not employees fault looks like they don't have the same funds as other locations they should shutdown and remodel completely and keep shelves full it's always been always the same here for years
They charge me for 1lb when my ginger is only 7oz. That is cheating scale!!! Horrible place w premium price. It use to be Pathmark, then changed into Stop & Shop. I love Stop & Shop they normally have good quality food w the better brands, so I did not pay attention to the expiration date when I went there. I bought a vegetable juice (kale juice) and a greek yogurt, they both expired few days before I purchased it. I happen to throw away my receipt already since I never had to return my groceries, but lesson learned. Half of the shelves are empty regardless when you go. I tried weekdays and weekends. Day & night.
This place doesn’t have self shop, and only has two self checkout lanes. It was pretty packed so two extra self check out registers would have been a huge help. To their credit the cashier that’s near the self check out lanes did see me standing online and told me to step down. She was friendly, but kind of like because she has to. The bakery section seemed clean and overall the store has dim lighting but all of the employees looked busy. A gentleman I asked for help has a bit of a speech impediment and he was nice enough to walk me to the isle that I needed
I would have loved to give them a 5 star layout is great very clean workers like the young man at produce was awesome every thing was good my son even found the golden egg however went I made it to the register the cashier provided horrible customer service she enjoyed the gossiping with the cashier next to her about other workers I asked a question about a sale and she was bothered then when I said thank you she didn't even say your welcome she also failed to help inform me on how to apply for points card my 1st visit was horrible all because of her
This store haves its variety of items with cheaper prices than some stores, but it haves a few staff members that doesn't seem happy with themselves. One of them I can think of is a black woman with very short gray hair that goes by the name Grace. I was told that she is known to gave her attitude towards customers, and I wouldn't be surprised that the store manager(s) are aware of it. There is another thing that was told to me about her, but I will keep it to myself. Just expect an attitude from her towards you as a customer. ; )
This time was great the people's that time works in the early morning did help me with a problem I had on the phone app which sometimes does let let u click on the digital coupon but one of the workers explain to me if that fails on the phone app just talk to the cashier and they will fix the problem and that was a wonderful news to hear I used to go in the early afternoon to stop and shop now I go early in the morning no crowds no lines more easier to shop for things you need and more help to me that's one major Improvement
I wish I could take advantage of the low prices of their store-brand items but most are pretty bad. Too often their chicken smells like urine when cooking so I look for Purdue but they're often out of Purdue. Their baking cocoa powder looks more dried out than Hershey's and a comparison of the nutrition information shows a significant difference in potassium IMO so I buy Hershey's. Their canned sauerkraut has so much more water than Silver Floss that I bet there's no real savings. I think their bleach is good.
A lil pricey on some things, can find most products... the produce section smells terrible sometimes and the refrigeration is broke or something. Update: I guess they had a lot of broken fridgeration now they don't so it's improved. They annoy me that they always seem to run out of cheesecake ice-cream especially Ben &Jerry however they don't restock their ice cream til the entire inventory of all brands are almost completely out, instead of just ordering more of that flavor. Smh
Bought beef that said packed today, Feb 17th 2021 but that is rotten inside as you can see clearly. The color inside the beef after cutting and outside completely different. Outside, it looked fresh and red, but inside its blue and dull. That made me think they put some food coloring when they pack (I am not sure though) Bad experience, charging this rotten beef whooping $5/lb! Edit: the owner responded my review and looks like they care about things they do, so I am rating 4
Either the other reviews on here are done by simple customers or agents of stops & shop. This location is not one to rely on; I and a couple of people complained about the prices at the cashier are higher than the prices on the shelves, and some employees are either polite or not when they get confronted about any issue in the store. Be careful with grocery stores that are near or in the ghettos where many employees let out their personal frustration towards customers.
They list these clipless deals that when you select on the app never get discounted at the register. When you ask why it wasnt deducted they tell you you have to press the applied coupon button 24 hours prior..which is a joke. Then they act like they are doing you a favor when they correct the discount that you're already entitled to..aside from that workers are walking around doing nothing and talking to each other while lines of people are waiting to be checked out..
The store is large and reasonably clean what their selection is very limited. Their fruit and vegetable aisle has very few things in it it's way too much empty floor space. When I try to buy pancake mix my selections were very limited and the sizes were only small and medium they didn't have family size. Their meat department is pretty good. Prices were okay nothing spectacular. But at 9 on a Thursday for only two cashier's open the lines were a little long.
I chose this location because it’s close to where I’m having a function. I went to the store TWICE during the week and no one from the bakery was there.. I asked customer service if I could call in the order I was told yes. I called for 2 days and still didn’t get in touch with anyone from the bakery. Now the day before the event I finally reach someone and was told I needed to come in person and it’s too late to order… I will NEVER go there again!!
There's a lot of good deals here and oftentimes a lot of their items are cheaper than the majority of other supermarkets in the neighborhood. My only issue is with the checkout staff. The cashiers are real slow and they tend to be a bit dismissive and aloof with customers. In fact upon asking one of them a question because I needed a little assistance, the girl kind of acted like I was annoying her. Otherwise this is a decent place to shop at.
I feel like this supermarket needs a new manager for there's never any meat and then meet that be there is no good every time I go and I visit the supermarket they only have a selective few of meats you can't even go in there and do a good meat food shopping they're always out I really think they need help or something because this is ridiculous go to stop & shop and there is no meats that's just so ridiculous
Built on the bones of a Pathmark, this place attains the same level of quality as it's predecessor, which is mostly a good thing. The staff was friendly, the people working at their kiosks were passionate about their work, and the facility was mostly clean. However, there is still only one bathroom hidden through a set of employee doors to a dingy little place; an artifact of the store before it.
Have been shopping there forever never have I been treated the way I was treated today. The cashier (my receipt said Mary) was obviously mad she shut her Iight off and scolded me for not giving her the raincheck I had at the beginning. I explained to her I didn't know and she rudely repeated herself and gave me the worst look. I’ll be sure not to go to her line again. Very rude nasty attitude.
I had been going to this supermarket for quite some time and the prices have never disappointed me along with the variety of food items that are not available at other supermarkets. The staff is nice and respectful that they will help you in any way possible. Their rewards program is a plus. I would highly recommend this place if you are around the area.
This supermarket needs major attention and repair. The parking lot has so many potholes. There are times where the supermarket has a weird odor from what I believe is from old cooling systems. They usually have plenty of sales. They lack cashiers to ring up customers. On the weekends they barely have 4 and sometimes the self service area isnt going.
This location was fairly okay. I found some of the items there that I couldn't find at an earlier supermarket. The meat looked pretty fresh. The staff continued to restock the shelves. It was very easy and pleasant to receive our raincheck for the out of stock items. I wish their were more cashiers so wait to check out wouldn't be so exhausting.
Always has sales, the store is clean and orderly, and has almost every food item you can think of in stock as well as none food items ,like goods for babies , grooming supplies (shampoo, hair dye, etc.) And OTC medications as well as in store pharmacy. In addition the parking lot is pretty big and can accommodate a lot of vehicles.
I recommend this Stop & Shop since they have Coinstar machine that works and you can get rid of your all change. Coinstar charges 12% as processing fee. Parking lot is pretty big for you to park your car and do hassle free shopping. Cashiers provides good customer service. I have been using Coinstar at this location for many years.
Under new management and it is noticeable in a positive manner. Definitely see the difference in lower prices, friendlier customer service and healthier choices of products. I stopped coming here months ago because of poor service and high prices. Glad I returned , so has my loyalty. Thanks Stop & Shop on Cropsey Ave!
This is one of the worst Stop & Shops I’ve ever been. Come here often because live nearby and don’t have other choice. Pretty often vegetables and fruits aren’t fresh, always many people and only 2-3 cashier lines are open, despite there are 15 lines all total. That means be ready to stay in lines long time
Always a sufficient shopping experience. A decent selection of organic and natural products as well. They often run out of items I need but it is one of the better markets in a sort of food desert. It passes the test for all you would need in your house regardless of lifestyle.
I hate long lines so I try to shop off hours. I had a few items and thought I would be out quickly. There were no express lines, not one. So I had to wait behind shoppers with full carts. Not a big deal but I believe there should be at least one express lane open at all times.
This place is horrible veggies and fruits are overpriced and bad quality. Whole store is selling prepackaged products full of sugar at high price while producing costs is too low. Nothing special have no character. Just for people who are addicted to bad quality
One of my favorite stores in the area. It's so clean, well lit and well organized. It has everything you might need and a decent beer section as well. Not as well decorated as some od the fancier supermarkets in little Russia but much more useful in many cases.
Good sales, not a fan of their produce section. The cashier is a wonderful women , very friendly. It's nice to see her every Sunday morning! I wish I could remember her name. She is a black woman with short hair and she is working there every Sunday morning!
They need better service and maintenance at the recycling cans and plastic bottles machines !!they never clean !! nobody come collect !! it’s always full !! elder people and happy family try to come here to return that all cans and bottles with no shame !!
Stop & Shop is a good grocery store, I like the fact that most stores I've been shopping at have a parking lot ,now that's a huge + ... still can't figure out why the jelly , and preserves are not on the aisle with the syrup, but on the bread aisle? …
Not your high quality neighborhood Supermarket. Smelled like a Kentucky Fried Chicken inside. Dirty. Poorly organized. Messy. Chaotic. Bad shopping carts. Poorly maintained free customer parking lot. Poorly decorated. Just a nasty unsanitary Supermarket.
Every Time that I shop at Stop&Shop is good I am always able to find what I am shopping for and buy. The store is very clean and we'll stocked with items . And waiting on line is not a long wait Workers are nice and helpful. Will always shop their.
In the year since my first review so many missteps have happened. Mostly it’s the fact it’s a run down store, understaffed, with broken self checkout lanes. Yesterday was a last straw for me. I’ll be taking my business to a different location.
Every time we came to the store there is always a line for customers. 20 cashier Machine but no one is working only one or two cashiers open. Hope that They can hire more people to work on the closed cashier machine. Then I will give 5 stars.
The fruits and vegetables at this location is always fresh and I can always find what I'm looking for. The staff and management is kind and respectful and also very helpful. I recommend this store on a scale of 1-10 it gets a 10 or above.
This store is really rubbish. The price of beef was not as advertised. The cashier has a bad attitude and humiliates Asian customers. The cashiers in this store discriminate against Asians very seriously, especially the black cashiers…
I was trying to sleep behind the store when the employees had the nerve to yell at me then call the police on me who forced me to leave. I'm a skell I'm supposed to be able to sleep behind a supermarket and be left alone. Period.
This place had everything I need! From Bragg apple cider vinegar to t bone steaks at 5.99 a lb!!! There were also some great deals throughout the store. Very clean, great customer service at the self checkout. Will go back soon!
Being that there are only 2supermarkets in the Coney Island area they tend to higher all the prices on everything you can think of from Tang to the prices on beans so Stop n Shop is the go to place for some summer time deals
1 o clock in the afternoon. 3 registers open and lines are ridiculous. They rely in their self checks outs where lines are also crazy. They refuse to open more registers. Completely unacceptable to treat people like this.
The store is pretty clean and stocked for the most part. Staff (that I’ve encountered) are friendly and helpful for the most part. I just don’t feel that they have many sales or sales that are worth the trip.
they girl is fantasaya something she is totall crazy she dont know how to do customer service she on register num 6 3:25pm saturday July 29 please managment watch this girl she will messed up the business
If you do not have Digital Coupons is extremely expensive I think digital coupons are rip off especially with people who cannot afford cell phones PS I think it's unfair to people that are on food stamps
I hate coming here. They have a good variety of food & prices, but they seriously need to hire more cashier's cause the lines are too long. Every time I go there's usually only 2-3 cashiers open. …
First time shopping here in awhile. Not easy finding some of the foods I needed. Went from low cost to high cost from one aisle to another. Had to shop my regular market for half of my food list.
Impossible to shop. Lines are at a stop. Just returned items I needed back to aisle & found someplace that appreciates it's customer base enough to hire competent cashiers
Great service, moderate prices, free parking.. No need for Appt. You can if you want. They also have a female Barber who also is a beautician.. very clean place..
Everything is always out of stock and lots of items have already hit the expiration date when you purchase them. Not a very good selection of items here either.
Produce is more a miss than hit. It's either they have what you need but with mold or they don't have anything stocked. Not the best but not the worst market.
Not a bad store at all. Love the produce department and the produce manager is very charming and handsome. I’ll definitely come back just for him alone.
Shopping for your essentials this is a great place. Plenty of sale items & a wide selection. We found parking available & the lines were not very long.
Just a neighborhood grocery store. Nothing special, dirty, empty shelves. Overpriced but they get away with it because they don't have competition.
It's is such a good place full of supplies and everything you could need for a night out in town. You can get your avocado bowls, beer, and chips.
Great place to come get shopping done . You get off the highway & stop & shop . Is right there .Always have things stocked when I come here
Haven't been in there since 2019...went the other day...overpriced,quiet,not alot of selection of cat food, very boring shopping experience.
It's a big store with a lot of stuff. I didn't find anything special about it. They have nice stuff, fully stocked, ok prices.
Pretty large, but not so neat. Many items unavailable. Overall it's a good place to make a quick stop. Very busy.
Not a great place to shop compared to SnS in LI. Shelfs are often empty and long lines to pay for your purchase.
Never have a problem shopping here. My family and I get our essentials quick and checkout is never too long.
Pretty good sales most of the time. They can work on hiring more employees as lines are typically long.
Didn't have what I wanted.seems like stop n shop dnt sell it anymore.hsve to find another spot to shop
Deli counter experience isn’t usually fast or smooth. Usually doesn’t have enough checkout lanes open
Awesome met a auto mechanic and he helped me he fixed my car head lights while I was there …
sell expired products (bagels with mold) management not accommodating and rude. avoid.
No self checkout open, only 2 cashiers. It took more than half an hour to check out
It was ok. I tell you one thing though Pathmark was the place to shop.
All I need they have it, some Stop & Shop don't have it nice
I moved to Florida but I’m going to miss this super market
Long checkout time. Self checkout is almost always closed
Employees are very nice. Shelves are well stocked.
Good experience , just not a 5 star stop n shop
Employee at self check out was extremely rude.
Needs more cashiers. It's a good shoping place
Always luv this store very clean good sales
Good selection, reasonable prices.
Wonderful you must stop and shop
