I visited Storage Mart when I desperately needed to place my household belongings away for a few months. I had contacted several big name storage companies but did not feel comfortable because I was unable to get a straight answer. After contacting “The Don Mills Storage Mart” I spoke to Hamid who was very accommodating to my busy schedule. Within minutes I had seen the storage units and decided on a size I thought was suitable. On the day when I moved, it was quite obvious that the size I had chosen was not going to fit everything. Hamid was present and was preparing for closing. He was kind enough to review my needs and further spent the time to access a larger unit. This really helped to relieved my stress levels As I continued my transition of moving I required more storage units and Hamid was always there to assist me and my family. Thank you Hamid for your kindness and ever so friendly demeanour. In the several months I held my storage lockers with the company, I never was concerned about safety, rodents, bugs or any other potential perils. The facilities are kept clean, warm/cool as the weather conditions dictate. It also helps to have jazz music playing all day long so we never feel alone! I remember being at the facilities this last summer (2022) when we had a major wind storm in Toronto. Hamid was present and he came running over to me and the person that was assisting me to warn us of an unexpected coming storm (within minutes) to ensure for our safety and to lock up the truck outside and stay indoors. Several minutes later we watched outside as the storm brought down trees and caused damage. His caring and honest attitude has also made me give this review. If I need to ever get a storage facility again, without a doubt I will be using Storage Mart at Don Mills. I have their number saved on my cellphone! After 4 months, they raised my rent 20% without any notification. They charge $30 admin fee. They also charge $17/month for insurance which is mandatory which only covers $1k or $2k. The guy at the desk was nice but not forthcoming about rent increase (which he said was in the contract but was not) and also vacate notice (in contract it says you must give 15 days notice before moving out or you are forced to pay an extra month). He also said there's nothing he can do to help me, corperate policies or something and I have to call to the number on the website for help. I called in twice, first time someone transfered my call and no one answered. 2nd time my call was transfered and the guy was rude and telling me things that are not true such as my unit new price is cheaper than the going rate, that I was notified months ago of price increase and I can move out of the unit whenever I want which all are not true. Actually, Smartstop Storage down the street, same size unit is 50% of the new price they gave me of $160 for a small unit, $80/month at Smartstop. My unit had multiple toilet drains in the middle of the floor. Ceiling tiles were not in place and plastic light panel was hanging down and wouldn't stay up (there is no electricity in the room and storage rooms are very dark). Not very clean throughout the place. Old dirty building converted to storage place. The place also has a smell of aerosol (paint/spray). The door to the unit is very narrow (about the size a regular house door), it is difficult to manoeuvre anything. Most of the 5* reviews for this place are fake. I recommend you look elsewhere for storage and if you do choose them, just beware of their business practices.

I met Hamid today while my brother and I were discussing the inventory in his storage unit. My brother has used this storage company for over a year and is completely satisfied with the cost, the accessibility and the staff. Hamid approached my brother and kindly asked if he could assist us in any way while we were trying to figure out what we needed and what should be disposed of. Most of the items belonged to our Mother and therefore it was a bit emotional. Hamid offered suggestions and ideas that we hadn’t realized were even options. I felt confident that Hamid was steering us in the right direction. He did this knowing full well that we would no longer need his services nor his storage facility. Storage Mart at 875 Don Mills Road continues to impress me. I have been a customer for over two years. Over this time, my storage needs have changed. Hamid, the manager, is always extremely helpful. He is extremely professional, personable, knowledgeable and always provides prompt and meaningful solutions to my inquires, whether on the phone or in-person. The facility is clean, well lit, temperature and controlled in both winter and summer. The loading docks and easy-to-navigate interior makes it easy for me whenever I need to drop off or retrieve something from my unit. Personally, I like the the Jazz music that plays softly when I’m accessing my storage unit. I also like the security - this makes early morning and late evening access worry free. We were looking for a storage unit close to our condo and came across StorageMart. We had a truck with furniture from a house we'd closed and needed a unit quickly. Hamid, the general manager was great on the phone getting me set up quickly. We made an appointment later in the day to finalize the rental. Hamid was super nice and a pleasure to talk to. He got my unit setup quickly, and in no time my wife and I were unloading. The facility and unit is very clean and warm. It was the end of the day and Hamid was going home but he didn't leave until he made sure we were OK unloading, even offering us bottled water several times. 5 stars Hamid, your customer service is amazing.

I have been using this facility for quiet some times now. Hamid is great in many ways and helps you and always checks on you to see if everything is alright. I have dealt with many storage facilities but this place is great in customer service, flexibity, clean environment, secured places and always well maintained regardless of the seasons. I know this because I have been to other facilities in winter and moving around is very difficult due to snow pilling up but this place is always clean and snow is plowed and gates and pathways are always cleared. I strongly recommend this place for your storage needs.

We have been using the North York StorageMart for quite some time now and are so pleased with the service they are providing. This location is really well maintained and efficient. The staff (Umang and Hamid) are extremely friendly and helpful. This is my second time renting with them. I was able to rent a unit quickly and easily. The location offers a great deal of access points and I was able to view several units before finding the one that was right for me. The units are climate controlled at a comfortable temperature. There are also a lot of packaging supplies available for purchase at the store. I highly recommend this place.

He has assisted me in various ways and on various occasions over the last few years, and doing business with him always has been a pleasure. The facility itself is very well run in every respect, which I suppose is due in no small measure to Hamid's managerial oversight. One has confidence that the contents of one's locker are in good hands.

I called to book my locker because I couldn’t figure out how to get a prorated (partial month) price online. The customer service rep at was super helpful. As were the folks at 875 Don Mills, the storage location. They were very thorough in making sure I understood all the details of the contract and then showing me how to get in and out with the access code, and helping me find my locker. I hope the rest of my rental period with them goes as smoothly.

Hamid was so gracious and helpful when we appeared. He offered us a great rate during COVID which helped my family immensely when we were forced to move a couple times. For 2 1/2 years we returned to frequently as we organized the next chapter in our living situation. Our experience was always positive and the units and property were always safe and secure. This location of Storage Mart is great! I know my things are secure and today was the proof.
