We love a vibey outdoor micro cafe. Sleek surfaces and tiny everything somehow make us believe that everything is going to be treated like a potential cure for cancer...possibly even the chux on the counter, which is in unsanitary contact with the water glass rims, and stands out like a tall man at a short stature convention. Add a deep, golden set of baked bits that look like they cause heart arrhythmia on contact, an ironic sign outside, and the stage is set for an experience you'll drag friends (away from whatever rubbish they think matters) to. But not all that glitters. The coffee comes out of the la marzocca 3 group with all the visual appeal of someone you know is out of your league. Sadly, despite the perfect construction, the flavour is as flat and gentle (strong ordered and extra shot delivered) as spilt milk. The croissant feels heavy as I raise it from its so-on-point clay plate...the bad portent matures to a bad bite. The pastry has most likely been under proofed, yielding a thick dense centre more worthy of a hockey field than a French delicacy. I think if you return regularly, the coffee will find your comfort and it's expertly made. The other naughties may eat better, and the croissant error may have been a 1 off. But so is my visit here.

Best coffee in Lane Cove so far and service is excellent. This is my go to place for coffe. I can only recommend they swap their alternate coffee milks for much healthier ones. This applies to all coffee places which use almond, soy, oat etc, with seedoils and other chemicals. Croissants and choc croissants could be much better as they are extremely oily and chewy. Perhaps change providers to true french pastry. Their madelines and biscottis are deilicious!!!

Very stylish cafe, that’s small but houses the best croissants and cookies. No heating facilities so be prepared for room temperature croissants and hot cross buns. The coffee cups and the smart witty statements (eg this is a sign) or some “stories” gives it some cool attitude ! The latte was ok. Milk steaming a little too flat for me. Take out only. 6 seats inside and plenty of outdoor dining. Location is a plus!

I love "hole in the wall" unique places, and this is one of them. The mirror on the wall gives optical illusion thinking you've walked in to a bigger cafe, but it is a tiny one in all white theme pumping out good quality coffees continuously. A few bar seats inside and a few fur baby friendly outdoor seats available.

Great little local cafe with a cheeky print on their take away cups. No room to tell you more about the story in the small size but the flavour of their Flat White hits the spot! Smooth and not too strong. By the looks of it their pastries as something to be desired too. Will bring the wife and dog next time. :)

One of my favourite coffee shops. Why? Friendly service, coffees are served pretty quick. I keep going back as the flavour of the bean is quite delicious. It is a happy coincidence that they service short stop delicious snacks!

Cute little spot to come and grab a coffee in passing or to hang out in nice weather if you have the time. Soy latte was nice, and considering how busy this place got on a Saturday morning, we didn't have to wait too long. Bonus points appreciation for both the little haiku on the side of the coffee cup and 'Clearly this was a sign' sign.

First time at this coffee place, very clean and comfortable deco. However, the coffee is very bitter and seems to have over roasted their beans. We had a cappuccino and even with milk it tasted quite bitter. Not the average coffee that you would expect.

Without a doubt our favourite place for coffee in Lane Cove. The owners are nothing but fantastic, friendly and welcoming, and this extends to the entire team. Beautifully sweet coffee served every single time we visit - consistent and perfect. We love their little treats for sale too, and the sourdough bread is to die for.

Love this place. Consistently great coffee - savoury, med-dark roast flavour, on the stronger side. They get in some cracking pastries too - always sold out on weekends so get in early. The best part? The team is kind and encouraging to my little girl who loves to order a baby-cino and "pay" for our coffee with her watch.

A great local Coffee house with amazing, friendly staff. The coffee is excellent with a range of pastries for those with a sweet tooth. Always a pleasure to call in and grab a quick coffee.

Unfortunately I can only give 2 stars as the service was extremely slow - at a time when they weren't even that busy, it took over 15 minutes just to get 2 coffees. There wasn't any sense of energy to get anything done efficiently. Coffee was just ok.

Coffee good although thought it was better before the recent renovations. Main problem is price- $5 for a small double shot. Dearest in Sydney! Wouldn’t usually complain but they got my order wrong so the price then became an issue. Shame, this place was really good a couple of years back.

I had coffee here several times and it’s always spot on. Now I got an iced mocha and it was delicious but it came with this ridiculously thin straw... it turns out, it’s much nicer to drink from it than paper straws. Good job! Ah, people here are nice too.

Staff moved some furniture and literally told us to move out of her way without apologising or asking us to excuse her. I ordered skim latte. That staff then said it was flat white. Coffee tasted bitter and burnt. Unsatisfying experience. Won’t go back.

  • Edwin Lee

Fantastic coffee and sometimes they will also have bread from Iggy’s Bronte and croissant from Penny Four’s brought in to sell. (The shop is primarily a place for coffee only) Lovely husband and wife team! Dec 2020 - new look and it’s fabulous!

Lovely little cafe with excellent coffee and quality pastries. We always stop by for a takeaway coffee and occasionally indulge in their delicious treats. The pastry in the picture was incredibly good - delicious, fresh and way too tempting!

  • Corzzaful

Awesome coffee in the heart of Lane Cove village. They have some yum cookies that are hard to go past.

A nice little cafe selling Duke coffee and their own blend. There is some bench space at the back and seating outside. They are selling some nice merchandise like t-shirts and keep cups and the coffee and pastries taste great.

  • Isabelle P

Friendly staff and really good coffee. I love the takeaway coffee cups with a ‘choose your own adventure’ story on them! I read it while waiting for a customer with a million items in front of me at Aldi to kill time. So good!

  • Daniel K

Excellent coffee spot in Lane Cove. They do have some cookies too. It’s a pretty simple set up but it works & tastes great. Staff are friendly. Some limited seating available outside too. Check it out. More

  • Andrew Taylor

Possibly the best coffee I have ever had! Really good service. I can not sing them enough praises. It does get a little busy at lunchtime however this is only proof that they are very good.

Best coffee in Lane cove hands down, both the owners are lovely and always remember my coffee. Beautiful bread sold daily if you can get there before it’s sold out (it goes quick)

  • Matt Stack

Excellent coffee in a brand new setting. I highly recommend grabbing the Short Stop donuts on Monday, they are some of the best the city has to offer. Friendly and fast service.
