I arrived in Ethiopia on June 22 as a member of an American humanitarian and literacy mission group. Our work focused primarily on a school in the rural mountains in South Central Ethiopia, but also included a couple of orphanages. Ermias Ketema of Stunning Ethiopia Tours was an essential and significant member of our team as guide and interpreter. He made himself available at any hour for educational tours, nighttime entertainment and unique cultural experiences. His witty, self-deprecating humor made the necessary long mission drives a delight that I actually looked forward to by the end of the trip. I laughed... a lot. He was an active participate in the mission work when other guides (from another company) were merely drivers/observers. Many times I watched as he took the remainder of his meal to share with those who were hungry or give of his wages to those in need. I greatly admired his integrity and work ethic. My partner and I were traveling after our Peace Corps service and Ermias' company was recommended to us by a work colleague. It was the best thing that could have happened! He was so welcoming and helpful even though everything we planned was very last minute. It felt like being greeted by a close friend when he picked us up at the airport and we definitely said farewell to a friend as he dropped us off at the airport. (speaking of airports - if you're doing a lot of traveling in Ethiopia - make sure you use Ethiopian Airlines to fly into or out of the country because you then get 50% off in-country flights which will help you to see more of the country!) Ermias is professional, kind and energetic as a tour guide and organizer of trips. We did the Danakil Depression, the rock churches of Tigray and some time in Addis Ababa and Ermias arranged transport in between every piece of it. If you are planning a trip last minute and want to do lots of pieces - Ermias will make it happen for you no stress. the drivers and tour guides that Ermias arranged for each experience were excellent and professional - especially in the Rock Churches of Tigray - if you go, make sure your ask for Abel! Overall the trip was fun and flexible - we absolutely will come back to Ethiopia and we will definitely book through Stunning Ethiopia again! We can't wait to be back to spend time with Ermias and the rest of his crew. We definitely recommend Ermias and his company - you will feel like family and you will have incredible experiences in the beautiful country of Ethiopia!

I really cannot say enough good things about travelling with Stunning Ethiopia, and really I am not exaggerating when I say we were completely spoiled during our trip. Ermias checked in with us daily, and somehow managed to organize everything we asked for or wanted, even with little notice. He is a blast to hang out with, and each time we went out with him it was easy, comfortable, and memorable. He is warm and accommodating, pays attention to detail and goes out of his way to have everything work out. He truly is invested in making sure you have the best trip possible, and frankly I'm going to miss this level of care on all future trips! I had a fantastic experience with Stunning Ethiopia Tours on a 2-day trip to Lalibella last weekend. I was working in Addis and only had a weekend to see one of the most impressive sites I have ever visited, but Ermias was very accommodating in organising everything to my specifications. Ermias and I communicated via whatsapp to organise the details of my trip, the budget level of the accommodation I wanted to stay in etc, which made things very easy for me as I was travelling around a lot in the days running up to my trip. He also picked me up from the airport on my return to Addis and very kindly helped me move from one hotel to another, after inviting me for coffee. I chose to stay in budget accommodation in Lalibela and the hotel was beautiful and clean with very friendly staff and incredible views. My guide in Lalibela was knowledgeable and helpful and I was lucky enough to observe the final day of the Timkat festival. I highly recommend Ermias and his company Stunning Ethiopia Tours to anybody wanting to learn more about Ethiopia and feel that they are in safe, knowledgeable and responsible hands while doing so.

wrote three travel agencies in Addis in December, 2018 to get information for a 3 week tour of Ethiopia in 2019. I only heard back from two of the agencies and Ermias was the first one to write back. He was so quick and on top of all my questions that I never went any further with the other company. We used email and WhatsApp to communicate back and forth and he was right there every single time I had a question. His quotes for the trip were inline with other company I contacted but I chose him because of his incredible level of customer service and for the personalized trip he planned for us. This was no cookie cutter tour. He made a special itinerary just for us. We explained that we were most interested in attending festivals, local markets, learning about the history, meeting local people as well as seeing all the major sights. I'm very sorry to say that due to a family emergency, we had to cancel the trip this year but plan on doing it in 2020 now. We will then go on what Ermias planned for us, which looks to be the trip of a lifetime. Thanks Ermias for all the hard work and we'll see you next year!

To say that Ermias is fantastic, is an understatement. He was professional, easy going, friendly, and he cared so much about us. From the time we arrived at the Addis airport, to the time he dropped us back off, everything was well planned, and incredible. We had 2.5 weeks in Ethiopia, and we saw everything. The drivers and guides in every location were all very good, always had water and bananas for us, and would often get us coffee if we stopped. They helped us out with authentic foods and dinner reservations and we enjoyed getting to know them all and have dinner with them. Ermias checked in with both us as well as the drivers every day to ensure that things went well and there were no issues. When we flew back into Addis, there was always something planned if we wanted and he made the experience great. He accommodated last minute ideas we had, we met and had dinner with his family and he really made it the trip of a lifetime. I would 100% go back to Ethiopia, this was the best trip I have had.

Stunning Ethiopia is all you need if you want to spend time in Ethiopia. Ermias and team (Wondiye and Danny) were really nice person and informative. Just asked them questions while visiting those historical places if you dont understand or want to know more because they are so knowledgable about Ethiopian history. Wondiye took me and my friend to the very interesting coffee shop. I bought some coffee powder and beans to bring back home because the taste was really good! We end our trip at the Cultural Restaurant in Addis. The traditional food was spledid and the performance was exciting. I enjoyed myself very much. I hired Stunning Ethiopia Tours for fulfil my 18 hours transit time before continue my journey to my hometown. This is the best decision ever. I strongly recommend them because of the 5 stars service. Surely i will use their service again if i come back to Ethiopia. Stunning is an understatement when describing the Ethiopian wonders that Ermias and his team shared with me. I visited Ethiopia last month with the intention of doing the historical route through Axum, Lalibela, Gondar and Bahir Dar. Ermias put together a reasonable package for me to travel and be met by a guide and drivers at each stop for a highly personalized experience. I felt like a VIP, being welcomed and informed by friendly, knowledgeable people throughout my journey. Fabulous 7 day tour. My family and I spent a week in Ethiopi from August 6th through the 12th. Thanks to Stunning Ethiopian Tours, we had the absolute best time. Ermias and his staff greeted us at the airport and everything was above and beyond our expectations. Prior to signing up with Ermias, I had contacted three other tour operators. He was the only one that gave me the option of traveling to Southern part of Ethiopia. Everyone else gave us the option of traveling to the northern park, which is the easier touristy option. We have three children that are 8, 12 and 14. He had thought of everything to keep us and our kids satisfied. He was in constant contact with his staff and made sure that we were well taken care of. All in all, we could have not been happier picking Stunning for our Ethiopian travel and I recommend him with absolutely no hesitation.

When we were arranging the trip, Ermias was responsive and helpful and put together a tailor-made tour for us around the Northern sites. We recently visited Ethiopia and were grateful to work with Ermias of Stunning Ethiopia Tours. We had an unexpected delay arriving in country but Ermias was extremely reassuring and accommodating and was able to reschedule our program and in-country flights. We toured Addis Ababa, Aksum, Lalibela, and Gondor, and enjoyed a 2-hour guided hike in the mountains close to Gondor . The guides for each location were excellent, very knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs. The drivers were also very good. The hotels venues were excellent. We only had 30 hours in Addis Ababa and I knew we would need some help if we wanted to maximize our short visit. I contacted Stunning Ethiopia via email and the owner, Ermias, replied right away. We only gave him a few days notice but he was able to confirm a city tour immediately. He didn't flinch when I asked to make a few customizations to their standard stops. Ermias even showed up in our hotel lobby the morning of our tour to personally introduce us to our guide, Wonday and to see us off. Ermias is amazing! I decided to go to Ethiopia on Friday. I arrived Monday morning at 06:00. I was only in Addis for one day in transit. Ermias and Wendy (sorry for mispelling) were great! I did a one day city tour of Addis and Wendy was very informative. Unfortunately, I was quite sick, but Wendy and Ermias made me feel very comfortable and were quite accommodating. We did a quick tour and then they took me out to dinner. The dinner was delicious! They were great company, very welcoming, and very good at providing a full tour of Addis in a day! I highly recommend them!

Recently we took a trip to southern Ethiopia. It was organized by Stunning Ethiopia Tour & Travel, It was really stunning! The organization, the program, the accommodation arrangements, all were on the better side. The driver/guide (Seyum) was very professional and did not spare any effort to satisfy us. I highly recommend this agency for planning and executing a trip in Ethiopia.
