I have lived in the Caravan Park for three years permanently, whilst i attended Flinders University Requiring my Bachelors Degree in Science. Throughout this time, Bob, the manager gave me nothing but trouble. He tried to charge me for a plumbing bill as I punctured a PVC pipe with a tent. However, I gave him a months warning that I was erecting an annex and if I could have the ground plans for my site and he stated there were no pipes. More so, these pipes were not at regulation depth, being less then 10cm below the surface. Further down the track, my van lost power and as my brother is an electrician we worked out that the power loss was at the power box, not the van. Therefore I rang Bob, it was a Sunday and his response was 'there was nothing he could do until Monday'. Therefore I lost an entire fridge full of food. The Managers are irresponsible, mean and down right rude.

My 3 month stay was horrific, voilent admin staff who physically and verbally abused me when I asked for my statement. Coming around the counter to shove me. Accused me of not trusting anyone. Park is occupied by alcoholics and drug users. Domestic violence ongoing with police attendance poor. Staff laughed when I called them to report a child was being bashed. Harassment by drunk tenants when using facilities. Electrical is in poor condition with cords burnt black from shorting out. I was verbal abused by management when I asked to use my own. Pay electricity separately. Not recommended. My Bond still not refunded and it's been 2 months since my stay in my own caravan, with no money owing by me nor damages. I was awoken every time a metal inspection point was driven over, staff ignored my request to fix this. Tribunal time.

Very dissapointed with our stay, Our cabin wouldn't lock which then made us worried leaving our things whilst we went out and explored, When we arrived there were Ant's in the bathroom and kitchen area so grabbed some spray and gave surfaces a wipe down and also wipe shelves in bathroom that looked like they haven't been cleaned in a while, We left our cabin in the morning and headed out to check out adelaide we got home after dinner time to discover hundreds of Ant's everywhere all through the bedding and personal items, Friend of ours also had some problem with there's.. Website deffinetly makes it look and sound much nicer to what it is.. Wouldn't recommend in the future!

I booked into a budget cabin BEFORE reading the reviews. Having read some before arriving, I had my concerns. But while my cabin WAS old, and a bit dated, it was scrupulously clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower hot. I only heard my neighbours for an hour or so on one night, and well before10pm. My only gripe would be that the stove was very slow to heat up… but in the scheme of things this park was clean, quiet, and while it lacked a bit in charm, it was super conveniently located. Perhaps not for families, but ideal for single travellers passing through.

While the staff are really, really good and helpful (and I feel sorry they have to work there) and it's a really good spot, I could NOT recommend staying in any of the vans (esp. the budget vans), I stayed there for about 3 years (that I'll never get back) and to say it was HELL, is like saying it's cold in Antarctica! NO kidding! I nilly went insane with having to live with some of the people there and the managers were NO help! DO NOT STAY THERE!!

My father cancelled a booking a week before his scheduled four day stay and they refused to refund $110 first night fee/deposit. This amounts to a 25% cancellation fee. He spends a lot of time in Adelaide and while they may have made $110 easy dollars this time, they have cost themselves at least ten times that over the next 12 months as a minimum. Short sighted and poor customer relations I think.

Pleasant surrounds, friendly wildlife, good amenities, courteous service, no humbug, ideally situated in the hills beside the Riverbed, plenty of large shade trees, far enough above the City to escape most of the Smog and well away from the traffic noise and pollution, I find it an excellent location. It is also really close to the Flinders University and Flinders Medical Centre.

Is a nice spot but the caravans are old an expensive for what u get also just having to share toilets that have big skid marks in them turned me right off an the owner is a bit funny about certain things,other than that it's a beautiful spot away from houses an has Bush surrounding the park,2 stars out of 5 ,an that's for the scenery!

Do not ever stay at this place. Very noisy tenants next to river who don't seem to care about neighbors or appropriate noise levels. Have contacted Managers who just said had plenty of complaints but just ring the Police.. Really??? Constant partying, loud music, swearing etc. Would not stay here even if it was free.

This is one of the most discusting run down places l have ever seen The kitchen flooded over night along with the bathroom floor Multiple things were broken or simply did not work for example the TV remote after trying new batteries I will never stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone

Extremely rude & horrible owners. Never had a good experience with them. They are kicking out an elderly man with health issues without any prior warnings. Verbally abused my family over this, They don't even deserve 1 star, they shouldn't be running any type of business! Unprofessional scum!

My partner and I applied to live there,as we were homeless at the time. Apparently we both had bad tenant history,we told the homeless service worker about this and no bad tenant history was found on either of us. We aren't homeless anymore,but they are judgemental and rude.

This is BOGAN Ville stay away full of permanent residents who just sit round drink and smoke it looks like Hicksville Shanty town should be minus 5 star one star is too generous STAY AWAY if your a caravan owner find an actual caravan park not a shanty town full of bogans

Has improved with new managers. Wish people would treat bathrooms like their own at home or else some people have no pride and are filthy in their habits. Feel sorry for the people responsible for maintaining cleanliness considering the way some leave the toilet cubicles.

Sturt River Caravan Park!! What can I say but avoid at all cost. Full of permanent residents. Managers very unhelpful and only want money. Paid for 2 nights (1 person $30pn) asked for a refund as I wanted to leave. REFUND of $30 DENIED!!! feel super ripped off!!!!

Do not use this park the lady is a absolute horrible unhappy looking thing who is very rude that wouldnt know the first thing about business or what a smile can do , it's a shame because the park has so much potential. Save your self the time and keep driving.

Amazing caring people. Thank you. They were worried about making sure that my needs were met, as I am from Mt Gambier and my husband was in hospital at Flinders. Nothing was too hard. My heartfelt thanks. Would recommend to anyone to stay there

I am appalled by the customer service and the lack of compassion displayed by the owners/managers of this facility. I will never recommend this place to family and friends; in fact I will be going out of my way to warn people NOT to stay here!

Thank you for having us. Lovely staff, super helpful and friendly! Kid friendly, spacious and just a comfortable, homely feeling when we where away from home. Will be staying here for years to come when we travel out west. Great hospitality!

Nice little place, only complaints was the last that greeted us was a little rude, the air-con in the cabin vibrated the entire wall and gave us all headaches and there were three bunks with on of the mattresses being on the floor

Called to tell them we would be late they said its ok as long as its not too late (we were 5 mins after office closed ) and told us that he cannot have us and to leave the property

We didn't get to stay, had to cancel our booking. We gave Management advanced notice of our cancellation. 5 stars for our deposit being refunded without an issue. THANK YOU!

Tried to get to hiking trails as the normal road was closed due to South Rd works, just full of people living in caravans in mostly poor conditions. Pretty depressing place.

It used to be nice people to just over 6 weeks everything and everyone changed and so has there prices unfortunately 1 thing not changed is the cleanliness of accommodation

Didn't feel very welcome here Judged on my appearance I suspect. was enquiring about permanent site, reasonable prices but you gotta jump through hoops to get approval.

Do Not Use this Caravan Park Management are Extremely Rude and the Toilets were Discussting I was Unhappy there I am Gald that I am no longer there

You feel like you're in the country but you're actually deceivingly close to Marion Shops, Westfield, 15 min to the CBD. Fantastic spot!

One of Adelaides best kept secret. Close to everything! Very affordable long time residents. Caravan's available or bring your own van.

The people who run the park are very nice their to help. I lived here many years ago it's looking just as good as it did back then..

Love this caravan. So peaceful. The other tenants here are great. The manager and the girls in the office are wonderful people.

Don't waste your money holidaying here. The owners are cruel to the permanent occupants and it is downright embarrassing.
