I am long time customer for this location, but today I had worst experience ever. Little back story : We were told 2 weeks before when new coupons rolled out that new coupons are not allowed for physical ones only from app. I was then told that since app dont have all the options you can order on app and then customise in person while you there for pickup. Same story I order after visited the store and there was on person ahead of us who also used physical coupons today. Strangely enough I didnt bother much at that time. While we waited for them to finish; i was called from the working staff at that time RAHIL that please change your car parking spot because the staff wants to park his car. As, courtesy I went out, as I know staff member preferred to park near the front gate. Just to let everyone know that there are not dedicated staff parking for anyone. Towards the door there is a 3 parking spot but there was already one car parked next to mine that was parked in the middle of two spot as because of snow the parking marking are not clearly visible. Still I move my car and change the spot. Instead of a simple "thank you" from Staff : Meet ( not sure about the name ; he owns a maroon sedan) said : this is not a proper way to park in a rude way. I replied : am i the one person visible to you because of the other car i have to adjust myself and on both side the pile of snow was cover parking either way. Still i said this is not a way and continue his way towards the front door; on top of that i joined him for the entrance but he didnt wait for me for the door but close the door on me. Staff : Rahil then started my order so before even taking the breads out i mentioned him that i order online but i have to customise my order so, please review the order but i will dictate my order. In between MEET took over; and said only the online order will be followed. Funny story; he was the one who said coupon are not reedemable in person by that time. So, i clearly said that if that the case then i will simply cancel the order and i will customise, But he denied my request and started my order either way. Store rushed at that time; so i speak in his regional language (Gujarati) that you have any issue following my order if i dictate as not all the options are present in the store, at every point he showed dissatisfaction and disappointment for sub which i paid for as attache din the screenshot. For the second order i clearly stopped him and said that i made an honest mistake to choose multi-grain instead of italian herb bread can you please change it; he denied again by saying that it goes against counting; since because of new coupon it was 2> 6 inch i said you can punch as 2> 6 inch but make it as a footlong as it was for the same person but he clealry ignored my instruction didnt changed the bread and made it 6 inch only and as attached on the 3rd picture the packing was also mishandled. The place is very close to me and i visit this place every week mostly, but the staff at night served worst experience. I hope you take this into accountabilty and teach them composure and compassion for the customer. I also work in customer service and you must also acknowledge customer request if its reasonable.

review date: july 18, 2022 customer service date: july 18, 2022 i had the late-night munchies around 2am, and saw that this place was actually open. i asked the workers inside and they said they are open until 4am everyday. the signage on the door does say open till 12am every day, so perhaps that needs to be updated properly. this subway store is tiny inside, and was quite busy when i stepped in. there were 2 young guys hustling consistently as there were people, uber drivers and online orders coming at them in all directions. my order took about 20 minutes to get finished. in fairness, the workers were doing their best in consideration of how busy it was. for myself, i ended up getting 2 -12-inch meatball subs, all-in was $20.10. the subs were excellent. the bread was fresh, and the vegetables especially were on point. i stick with the meatball sub as imo it's subway's best sub for value and money spent. there's a variety store at main and wellington that makes meatball subs for about $7 all-in per sub, and they are good, for those people on a budget. that said, the subway meatball costs more, but is of superior size and quantity. also: there is free parking at the side of the store. bottom line: subway is not in my regular rotation of take-out places, but i would return here if i was in the area and as a late-night option. service and quality were ok, so i would recommend this location to others.

As an in person customer I find it extremely annoying for there to be only one employee to handle both in store customers and mobile orders. We stood in the store for at least 15 minutes before we were asked what we wanted at which point the employee started making yet another mobile order before ours. I said we're going to leave if you make another order before ours since we've been standing in an empty store while you made other orders before serving us. He did start making our order at that point but then of course there were other customers coming in so I don't know how he's going to manage getting everything done. I think it's absolutely disgusting for the managers or owners of this establishment to have one employee working and trying to handle both mobile and in store orders. It's not fair to the customers and it sure isn't fair to the employee.

Yesterday I walked into Subway and I asked for a 12in and right away young lady serving me asked if I can accept an old bread that they had in there and I immediately said no afterwards when it came to paying I gave her a $50 bill and she literally took 5 minutes of my time checking the $50 bill which is 100% real and then when she was going to give me my food and change back she deliberately try to remove change out of my hand which was $0.05 to $0.10 saying that she might have gave me a bit more and I felt that she was judging me by the way I look and how I dressed and deliberately made me feel very uncomfortable... I don't know how you train these people to work In a well-known franchise but you should teach jer not to judge and discriminate people just by the way they dress and look.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the guy working behind the counter was friendly. Subway is mediocre, we all know that. But I go there when I'm hungry and nothing else is available. This location, however, charges insane prices for such subpar food. Almost $15 for a chicken bacon ranch? There's just no way that's ok. However, the worst part is that apparently the owner steals the tips that are made via debit or credit. I'm pretty sure that's illegal, but even if it's not, it's super shady and is enough for me to entirely avoid this location going forward.

I have been going here for years..and I can’t help but tell my coworkers about the sloppy sandwich maker at this location...and yes....it’s the female...however...I find staff in general do not put an ounce of care into their sandwiches...they never spread the lettuce across the bun....they throw it at the bun...and leave it....and sometimes hardly any....they are now scrimping on the toppings something awful and look at you with disrespect. I have finally had enough...convenience of location kept me going but I’m sorry Subway John Street, Hamilton....I am no longer paying over 10.00 for a sandwich that you just make a mess of.

I've been stuck in the hospital and my husband went to pick up a little treat for me. I usually love subway, but this was not a good experience. He asked for the sauce that didn't have any spice (low spice tolerance and being in the hospital), and was told the chipotle. When he questioned the recommendation, the staff reassured him it wasn't spicy. I almost spat out the first bite, as chipotle is actually a sauce with ...dried chili peppers. I was also ordered a broccoli cheese soup. It was so runny and smelly...the only way that soup made sense was if it was a blue cheese broccoli broth.

This place is worst out of all hamilton restaurant Employees do not know the basic of customer service I went there to get my meal replacement because they made it with meat as i am allergic and anyways they refused to replace it and told me that the other meal is accurate and i told them that you touch the meal with meat with same glove and the employee told me not to teach her about her duties and i guess her supervisor asked me to keep quiet and when i ask for refund they said no because according to them we should check it before taking home Which is ridiculous!!

I visit subway often and this particular subway provides the least amount of cheese always. So little that they may as well not bother. This last time I visited they made my salad with not only the smallest amount of cheese ever but they skimped on the lettuce too....Even after paying for extra toppings it was still scant. The staff could benefit from some customer service training. They are rude and cold. Even though this subway is more convenient to my location I will now drive out of my way to avoid going here.

This sub store is super stingy on their topings I ordered a 12 inch BLT asked for cucumber, pickles and hot peppers. He was putting it on only 6 inches of the sub and I had to say to him I’m ordering a 12 inch why are you only putting toppings on half of my sub and then he’s putting like three cucumbers three pickles three freaking tomatoes on it and then I get home only to realize that the couple sauces that I got on it it’s drenched in sauce. Thanks subway you’ve done it again.

I came in one night, and I was perhaps a wee bit intoxicated, and I ordered myself a pizza sub. Got it toasty. It was nicely toasty'd. Then forgot it was a pizza sub so I do what I do with all subs, get all the toppings. End that with some mayo and sub sauce. Mmm. It then dawned on me when arriving back at my humble abode to chow down what it was I had done. I had made a sandwich half pizza, half salad - and guys, let me tell ya, that sandwich was satisfying in ways I didn't know could be satisfied. Happy mistakes.

I asked for a steak and cheese sandwitch. "Alright." says the clerk, and after preparing my bun she takes up an ice-cream scoop. I am bewildered. She uncovers a plastic cannister of a brown sludge-like substance. I am concerned. She scoops up this sludge, which is vaguely chunky in the way of dog-food or wet excrement, and shlops it onto my bun. "No-no." I stop her. "I said steak." she blinks at me bemusedly. "This is our steak." I walked the F out, and have not returned.

Dissatisfied. I went on a Wednesday night and he put all the toppings in the middle of the sandwich instead of spreading it out throughout the entire foot long. The worst part is how there was a woman behind me waiting, just one woman. Two people working, one of them was making my sandwich and the other one was taking his sweet-ass time making a sandwich for himself while the woman waited and waited in line. I thought that was kind of ridiculous, customer first people.

Food is what's to be expected. Honestly subways food has been declining since 2009 but this meets the 2023 expectation of the subway bar. I think it's the mass production of veggies that does it. You can tell they arnt cut fresh (my knowledge of cooking they were cut about 2-3 days prior). Redonions are thin and cannot be tasted. They don't provide the satisfying crunch either.

So I’m giving it a 5 star cause the one employee was amazing working in probably 50°. As a former subway employee I know you cannot work over a certain temperature. The store actually should not be open if it’s over a certain temperature. I think I might go back to the store tomorrow to take the temp of the store. Might have to take it to someone that’s us higher up to see if this is an issue or not. I was dying in that store.

There has been two times that the fountain machine has not had the drink that I’ve selected. Also this time when I ordered there were only two customers in the store and I was given the wrong sub. the worker offered to give me a new bag as the person came back to bring my sub back before I left. A few times have ordered a sub with minimum toppings placed in it. Decent service, but some improvements could be made.

Worst service and availability!! They don't have enough veggies, don't go here guys! Since last two times they don't provide me green olive and onion because of lack of availability. One more thing there is a girl working at the afternoon shift, she won't give you a fresh bread and her attitude is as high as sky! Worst place, such a bed experience. Extremely upset with my service tonight. I ordered online and when I got the 6 inch sub, it was completely different from what I asked for. I got the wrong type of bread which was also very stale/hard. I paid for double bacon and got only 2 strips. There was no cheese. I got 3 olives, a pinch of lettuce, and one slice of tomato. This was unacceptable.

One of the worst Subways I've been to in Hamilton, very unwilling to put toppings on. I asked for green peppers, got maybe 5 pieces on a full sub, and asked for hot peppers and got maybe 5 again. Had to ask for more maybe 5 or 6 times. The Subway on Dundurn near the highway is a million times better value. Never have to ask for extra anything extra. Wont be coming back to this one!

Ordered one of your “chopped salads” through skip the dishes received it half full with only 1 black olive, 3 cucumbers not even fully sliced and 2 pieces of cheese not even cut up. Think about the way people eat the salad. Who wants to bite into a full slice of cheese when the lettuce is so small. Figured salad is something that can’t be messed up but I guess I was wrong

They are charging for services, subway never charges for. They charged me for panini grilling my sub and in the receipt showed the charge as a cookie! On top of that, it was the worst Sub I ever got in Hamilton. The bread was chewy, the girl did not even put enough veggies and sauces. How am I supposed to eat a dry veggie sub with less veggies and a chewy bread!!

Small but good. The same great food I've come to expect from subway. The location is very small, so there's only a few seats available if you're staying to eat, but this is a great location to pop into for take out. With a large parking lot nearby for the nearby plaza, it should be no problem to find a place to park while you run in to grab your lunch.

The reason I gave one star because I had no option for 0 star , this location is really worst in Hamilton. I went to get the sub tonight and the employees were so rude & unattended. I had an awful ordering experience here, with an employee who seemingly has never seen "a sub" (sandwich) before, let alone made one effectively. I had to ask special to get even a single tomato that had somewhat red colouring, with normal texture - they wanted to give me the dregs. Over-priced compared to near-by, better alternatives.

The employee instead of helping us out just talked rudely with us and hung up the phone. When we tried to call back again, no one picked up. Do not ever go to this subway

Consistent, fresh, and always follow instructions no matter the order method. Side note: There is a very large lot (alongside a plaza) behind the store, which is super convenient for someone anyone stressed out by street parking.
