2018-12-21 (OR) Portland - Subway Airport Store (WARNING: MANAGER CHARGES FULL PRICE AND NOT SALE PRICE TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT REGULAR CUSTOMERS. CHECK RECEIPTS TO MAKE SURE YOU'RE BEING CHARGED CORRECTLY. ) We are long term regular Subway customers at this store and know all the employees by their first names. This was one of our favorite Subways to eat at regularly. Since Carla the store manager has switched stores we have received very poor customer service from the new store manager (Ewin) and a couple new employees. Today was the final straw of poor customer service practices and we will be boycotting the airport Subway store from our choices of dining out. Four days before Christmas, I decided to buy the guy ahead of me his sandwich. He had ordered a foot long spicy Italian which is on sale. The new manager, Ewin, charged the guy regular price and we didn't notice until we had sat down to eat. When I went up to the register to request that she ring up the correct price for his sandwich and ask why she would charge regular price when she knew his sandwich was on special. Ewin told me, "We can't take the time to ring up every single customer the sale price especially when we're busy." Ewin said, "That's how the owner, Dustin, put it in the computer so that's what she is following." Ewin said, "That's what her boss told her to do." What's interesting is Ewin rang up the guys sandwich at regular price and then directly after I paid for his sandwich, Ewin took the time to ring up my sandwich at sale price. Just wanted to let the public know to check your receipts and make sure you're being charged correctly! I refuse to shop at stores that have unethical customer service practices.

Absolutely horrible service. I heard about Subways buy one/get one sub and came in with hungry kids to get the deal. I was told when I got in they didn’t know what I was talking about. Then finally the second employee said, yes that’s a current offering but we would need to do it on the app. I had to download the app but the employees said there was no WiFi so it took forever. Then I finally put in the entire order into the app and it said that our order would take 30 mins to complete. Even though we were in a completely empty subway and the employees could have easily honored the special. There were no other customers they were just hanging around talking to each other and ignoring us. They saw our hungry children, they did absolutely NOTHING to help us. Just horrible service. We couldn’t wait 30 more mins for them to make the sub through the app so we just left. A perfect example of how technology instead of being used for good, allowed the employees to totally disregard us.

I come here frequently around lunch time. Even when the line is short or no one at all it takes 15-30 minutes at this shop. I’ve never been to a subway so slow and the employees are inconsiderate and act like they hate working there. I would suggest that the two older ladies, one is a manager, to pick up the pace and work on their work ethic or get a different job that they can keep up with because I am frequently late back to work when I stop for lunch here because they get side tracked or do other things in between making sandwiches or take an extreme amount of time putting it together. At other subways it only takes a few minutes to make a sub and you’re in and out. Today for an example, the two older ladies were on the sandwich bar with a line out the door and one younger girl on the cash register. From the time I got to the bread part of the line it took 18 minutes to make my sandwich because of how slow they were working.

There is a young lady with blond hair, im not sure her name, who has been making my sandwichs at this subway for me for quite some time. I just want to take a moment to tell her how proud i am of her work and school dedication. She recently completed her degree and she is busy planning her future. Subway you have am excellent employee here. She loves her job and treats her customers with kindness and respect. She doesnt talk down to people or try to bully or intimidate them into having things only done her way. She listens to her customers. Subway dont let this one get away. I think you should reward for her excellent service and dedication and offer her own restaurant and subway franchise, at no cost to her.

just got off working a 10hr shift and i can barely walk because of my arthritis and i was so very very thirsty and im riding the max from the airport but i had a few extra minutes to spare before my connecting bus was arriving about 2 miles away... so i checked the time on thier website just to make sure its still open and it was so i got off the max in mt hood and started walking there and as i got closer i guess the employee that was closing closed down for the night 1 hour early i was sooo mad that i was soooo thirsty and plus my feets were killing me... selfish employee that night... i hope she gets fired for leaving people that doesnt have a car to waste our time and effort walking there

Been to this location over 10 times since it's close to work, this was the last time, I began my lunch and walked in, 2 people in front of me, by the time I was out the door my lunch was over, 30 minutes in a very short line, honestly incredible how slow the server was, I almost walked out when my sandwich was done, she just went to help the next person in line after mine was already done. Pretty sure she was high, she was moving so slowly and kept readjusting the ingredients already on the sandwich. Definitely no tip and a lost customer.

**DO NOT ORDER ONLINE* I urge you to not place an online order here. They are very understaffed and may not be able to fulfil your order. 2 times in the past 2 months have they been so slammed because someone ordered 20 sandwiches around lunch time, that they refused to take new customers and fulfil online orders. They will tell you to call the Subway headquarters and ask for a refund, you can guess how successful that was. The management needs to get a grip and hire more people. This is an ongoing issue at this location.

Ordered through Grub Hub for a pickup and honestly it was not a great experience. I walked in and was alone for 5 minutes, then at pick up time the guy with dark hair and glasses had just started making it. The only word he said to me was “making it” and nothing else during the entire trip. Definitely not a great experience. I know it gets busy but it was dead silent in there and I work customer service so I try to be as nice and get my feelings and thoughts across without making it personal but this was so unpleasant.

Every single time I've been there, I had to wait between 5 and 10 minutes for service while the single employee got his drink and took his sweet time. This last time, the employee told my wife they didn't have gluten free bread. Subway does usually carry gluten free bread options though. They need more employees at the store to reduce ridiculous wait times, better stock, and better training for their employees. This place is awful and I cannot recommend it for anyone.

Maybe it's due to the time of the year or the inexperience of the only employee willing to even make an appearance but I won't be visiting this location again. I ask for 2 simple sandwiches and was made to feel as if I was asking for too much. Was charged for a higher priced sandwich that I didn't order which was corrected when it was pointed out and got an eye roll when asking for a lid for my drink. I was surprised though in my bag that the cookies I got for my wife were broken and no napkins. Sandwiches tasted fine as always but horrible customer service.

This is one of the worst subways I've been to, and it's consistently bad. They are always out of items, like a lot of items, and don't update their app when they are.. not to mention they are connected to building that has a grocery store in it. All of the workers are insanely slow. Today, the person refused to refund part of an app order that was missing on top of swapping veggies/ sauces for two sandwiches.

The girl in the front was not having a good day wasn't hard to pick up. But had a very bad attitude not polite at all. (Especially the language) excessive cursing. She would call the prep girl from the back and just gossip about non appropriate conversations. Mind you kids are present. By far the worst customer service of all Subways. But if you can make it past that the meats and veggies are fresh. My experience I will never return there ever again.

It isn't fair. I've been coming to this location for over six years now and the current conditions for the employees are unbearable. Are you listening, Subway owner? This is a busy location. Get your employees some help! Currently missing most of the menu items and have a hand-made sign out front saying they are closing the store to clean. HELP YOUR EMPLOYEES SUCCEED!

The team here always makes my day. Super casual, friendly, remember you, everything you'd want from customer service. The team at this location have been exceptionally understanding and helpful given the pandemic, which it seems a few other reviews didn't even take into consideration when complaining about them being "off brand" by not being open past the temporary legal closing time. These guys are awesome and I'll probably be back tomorrow

Went In for dinner found a girl at the front counter with no uniform on so had no clue if she worked there to add to that I saw her make several sandwiches never come washed her hands after she was down with the man in front of me she played with her hair and touched her face, her hair was not covered either and had no way of holding it back did not wash her hands after that and put her gloves on and made my sandwich

We were staying at the Residence Inn located next to this Subway for one night, and got hungry. We walked over and each of us got a different hoagie (1 italian, 1 turkey and 1 tuna flatbread). the sandwiches were good and the customer service could t have been better, although the seating could have been cleaned better. We don't expect much from subway, but for what we wanted, the service and food was adaquate.

Wish I could rate it a zero! Been a while since I've encountered such disrespectful employees. I was greeted with a "I'm ready." Wasn't sure if he was talking to me or the other male he was goofing around with, giggling and whispering. Once that passed the next guy (veggie section) says "what's on this?" This is a disgrace. From a rather high profile Subway, I'd expect better. You won't see me again.

Called to order a party platter ahead of time, and before hanging up told me to order online. This was for a company function, and I'm a firm believe that money not be spent at a place that makes it difficult for you to give them your money. You lost out on this order, and any future order with our company. We are going to Jersey Mikes instead! They had no issue taking a order over the phone! :-)

3.5 stars. Customer service: great. Sandwich made: great, but seemed to cut corners on toppings. Store: relatively clean, very quiet and pleasant today. Bathroom: dirty, needs to be cleaned. Trash can: full. My experience was between a 3.5 and 4 stars. Had the sandwhich been topped a bit more full and the restroom clean I would give a 4 star rating. The customer service I received was fantastic.

Arrived at 9:15pm with 2 vans full of athletes wanting a healthier choice then burgers after flying all day. The hours online say open till 11pm and store hours on the door say open till 11pm. Unfortunately nobody is here and place is closed and seats are all stacked on tables. Obviously they are not following posted hours. Thank you for ruining our plans.

This place on google says it’s open until 11pm it’s 9:59pm On a busy Friday evening and they have closed far earlier then it says. furthermore they removed the time of closing stickers conveniently so they can apparently close whenever they see fit not sure how “brand standard” this new practice is I included a photo below as reference

Average subway. Like most around here they don't know what heat toast is, even though it's a button on the oven. The place could use a cleaning to. The picture is a dead fly that has been there long enough to be covered in dust.

I come here almost weekly. The Service is subpar, even for a fast food place. The employees seem to rotate out very quickly. There's rarely a familiar face. Generally clean seating area, and the food is standard Subway.

This is our favorite Subway in NE Portland. It is clean, the food is fresh and so is the bread, which isn't the case everywhere. In particular, the staff is professional, friendly and eager to please.

Consistently good food, but this location has struggled with inadequate staffing since they opened. During non-busy times, it is not a factor, but from 11:30 to 13:00 the wait is usually 8+ minutes.
