Leadership: Mary the owner and Christine the manager are the definition of kindness and patience. May has a teaching degree I believe, and you can see that by the organized curriculum being sent to you every month. While there are daycares that spend time boosting their ratings and promoting false Montessori, this is not one of them. Weekly meetings are being held, the number of teachers and ratios are never compromised. With everything we see on the news about daycare owners/workers abusing children, each class has three teachers which reassures me that no one is going rogue. Staff: Children intuitively attaches themselves to kindness, and my daughter has trust with so many of the teachers there. The dozen or so teachers from different class seem to make some effort to know most children. The staff is there because they want to be there, not because they couldn’t get a job anywhere else. The teachers not only care for your children but can read when you are busy one morning trying to catch a flight. They will reach out and help you get your child settled so that you can be on your way. My daughter has attended the school for almost a year and a half, and each teacher is so patient, not only with your child but with you as well. I notoriously forget to unpack her bag which has her water, blanket, mittens (I’m seriously the most forgetful of a parent). You just call them, and they are happy to help. School & Facilities: The school is licensed and posts the results of their inspections. We can see that they consistently score high grades. The school as also does their best to upgrade their backyard and toys. I noticed a regular cleaning of old toys. There are so many activities in a day, trips, and so much creativity; I can’t imagine where else I would trust leaving my child. Positives: owners, staff, curriculum. Negatives: PickUp and Drop off are sometimes a pain. Some parents think that it's ok to go through a 10 minute rumour mill while parking in front of others and blocking the lane. Overall: absolutely the best daycare.

We have had a relationship with Summerhill Day School since September 2011. It's a safe, supportive, caring and positive environment in which I have watched my children grow and develop into wonderful little people. The staff are wonderful and keenly committed to the kids in their care and I feel very comfortable that my children are getting the best care outside of our home. Summerhill constantly seeks to improve on an already high standard of quality and it's a perfect fit for our family.

I have heard good things about this place. However, I've been on the waiting list since April 13,2021. I still haven't received an update on where I am on this "waiting list". Didn't get a response to my followup email either.

Everything is awesome about Summerhill. Both my son and daughter attend Summerhill and we couldn't be happier with their development
