It took me a few days to write this review because I wanted to be sure I got my entire experience in here. I never really write reviews, and I know this is going to be a long one, but I PROMISE it is worth reading. I purchased a used 2011 Audi Q5 about 6 months ago, and just recently moved to Seattle from Spokane this last month. Of course, right when I moved over here, I started having car issues. My low tire pressure light came on, and when I checked my tires one was extremely flat. This was the closest tire and service shop near my apartment, so I drove my car there to drop it off and have what I thought would be an easy tire patch. When I arrived, David was extremely welcoming, personable, and most of all assured me he would get my car up and running! About an hour later, David called and explained my tire was not fixable, and I would have to purchase new tires. I knew my tires were worn and this didn’t shock me, but I also have NO idea what I’m doing when it comes to shopping for tires. David not only took the time to recommend a tire to me, but explain WHY it was the best choice for me. He also didn’t try to sell me the most expensive tires he could get, but a good, long lasting tire that would work for the Seattle terrain. UNFORTUNATELY, what was more concerning was the TWO cracked axels under my car. You can imagine how shocked I was to learn this, considering I had MULTIPLE oil changes on my car since the purchase and I had taken it somewhere else prior to have the tires filled with air. David was the very first person to take the time to ACTUALLY look at my car and make sure I was driving a safe vehicle. Of course there were other things needing attention on my car, but again, David was extremely honest about what I could wait on and what I didn’t need to really worry about for a while; and, once again, he was more than happy to explain what each thing was, explain the price, and how important it was. Okay now, here’s where things got real interesting. When I purchased my car I purchased a warranty, I knew the axels should be covered. David found my warranty info in my glove box and personally gave them a call for me to get the details he needed. Unfortunately, they informed him the car dealership I purchased my car at never fully processed the paperwork for my warranty so I was not covered, EVEN THOUGH I had been paying $45 a month for it. So, I called my dealership and just calmly explained the situation, and they said they would reach out to both David and the warranty company. The next day, David took the time to call me at 9am to keep me updated on his end of things... my car dealership did no such thing. When I called the dealership at 12:30 that afternoon, they said they were still “waiting to get an available rep at the warranty company”. After very clearly, but professionally, explaining to them I had just moved to Seattle and NEEDED my car to commute to work, they finally got through to my warranty company. An hour later, David called me to tell me the warranty company said the axels were not in fact covered under my warranty. That’s right, DAVID called me... not even my car dealership to tell me the news. Now, I want to make something extremely clear- I am 23 years old. I JUST moved to Seattle. I have little money and no knowledge of cars. I was literally at the mercy of the repair shop, and it would have been SO easy for David to simply say too bad, so sad, and move into the next customer who could pay him. But instead, he explained to me that in all of his experience, he has never seen a full warranty like the one I had not cover the axels. So, David told me EXACTLY what I needed to say to sound like I knew what I was talking about. He told me exactly what to do and had my back 100%. I called my dealership, and they ended up paying for not only the axels, BUT ALSO MY TIRES AND BRAKE FLUID FLUSH. I literally don’t know what I would have done without David. It was like having my dad help me figure it all out, rather than just another mechanic. I won’t go to any other car shop in Seattle. Ever.
OK I have literally just been in the middle of a protest where the protesters mistook me for an off-duty police officer. And I experienced a 20+ person beat down along with having multiple flat tires as a result of hitting curbs and having obstacles placed in my path and actually one of. Them had been slashed. So with a broken nose is blackened eyes I did what anybody would do and I had my vehicle towed to Les Schwab who sold me tires and a road hazard plan. I was informed that my road hazard plan would not cover any road hazard damages. Despite having multiple damages from different sources none of them were correct. But they were willing to sell me a new tire with a new road hazard plan. Then I noticed the goodneighbor tire Store up the road. I called them and I spoke to a gentleman who was quite literally, the nicest person I’ve ever spoken to in my life. He was inquiring about my injuries And wanted to hear about my problem and then we discussed tires. I asked him for a quote on tires and he quoted me a price that was so low I hadn’t heard anything like that since about 1988. So off I went in my 1 ton truck with multiple flat tires driving down the road to the good neighbor tire store. It could’ve been a video tape commercial for them. Unfortunately, I did not have my camera crew with me that day. LOL I pulled in with my vehicle almost going to catch on fire. The staff brought me a nice cold bottle of water offered me first aid for my injuries and then begin work. In a short time later I had new tires and an incredibly cheap price. I did not buy a road hazard warranty. Why? Because good neighbor tire offers lifetime flat repairs As a part of the purchase and installation price of my tire. Some people advertise to get a new business. And then some people earn your business. this is the case with the folks at good neighbor tire. Stop in today, and they will earn your business. At a time whenever I lost all hope in humanity. Less Schwab had let me down. Good neighbor tire comes in for the touchdown! Game set match good neighbor tire! My new Tore Store.
Not a good neighbor!! Even worse mechanics!!! My experience with this Good Neighbor has been beyond horrible. I took my van in because I was hearing a noise when going over speed bumps. They said I needed new struts. I agreed and the repair began. After the new struts were installed they called to say there was still a noise and that it needed a new sway bar. I had my doubts that the sway bar was the issue but I agreed. They then called to say my van was ready for pickup. When I went to pick it up they informed me that "there was still a noise and they could not figure it out and I should take the van to a dealer" They still had no qualms with charging me $2700. At this point I realized this was the worst mechanic experience I had ever had.... but it gets worse. What I should have done was take the van to a competent mechanic to begin with. These "good neighbor" mechanics are not competent, and certainly not trustworthy. The noise my van was making was much louder and worse when I picked the van up than when I dropped it off. Clearly much louder metal on metal sound. They should not have released the van to me in that condition. Upon taking the van to the dealer they determined that hardware (nut and bolts) were NOT EVEN HAND TIGHT, and some was even missing. But the most egregious was that they found the sway bar that I most likely did not need to begin with was INSTALLED BACKWARD and that was why the noise was so loud. I have all the documentation from the dealer where they found the hardware hand tight and missing, and the sway bar installed backward. The dealer suggested I return to Good Neighbor and make them repair it right but I do not think they have the ability to do the job correctly. So I had the dealer fix it right. The dealer was much cheaper than good neighbor too. In conclusion, I would not ever take anything here. I do not think they are even competent enough to work on a bicycle. Do yourself a favor and do not ever go here.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. The incompetence I have experienced dealing with this business has cost me 5 days without access to my car and close to $1,600 - less the $450 that was refunded after acknowledging that they had wasted both my time and money. I took my car in to have my BRAKES replaced back in October. This was my first and biggest mistake. I pick up my car, and after a few weeks there starts to be a faint jingling whenever I hit uneven road - which is everywhere. I drive my car everyday to get to work and out of town most weekends; eventually the noise becomes unbearable. I take my car back in to have the noise resolved. I'm told the STRUTS need to be replaced. They keep my car from 8AM to 5PM. I pick it up, and the noise is still there. They tell me to bring it back to have the SPRINGS replaced. I bring it back to have the springs replaced. They keep my car from 8AM to 5PM. I pick it up, and the noise is still there. They tell me to bring it back to have the UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY replaced. They keep my car from 8AM to 5PM. I pick it up, and the noise is still there. Here's the kicker. They inform on me this visit that MY BRAKES WERE INSTALLED BACKWARDS! As you'll recall THEY INSTALLED MY BRAKES. Guess what they ask me to do? BRING IT BACK TO HAVE SOMETHING ELSE REPLACED. I inform them that I will never be bringing my car back which garners the response of "that was probably not what is causing the noise anyway". Today I pick up my car from a competent mechanic and am told that THE BRAKES ARE MISSING PARTS AND THAT IS CAUSING THE NOISE! In conclusion, if you would not feel competent enough to resolve whatever issue you are having with your car after watching a 30 minute YouTube video on how to fix it then I would not recommend trusting this business to resolve it.
These guys are amazing! Incredibly courteous, they always call me and let me know if there will be any kind of delay or if there is some kind of issue with the car that wasn't discussed up front. They are very fair when it comes to the mark-ups on replacement parts. (ALL shops have a markup, lots of times its triple what the part actually costs, they don't have that mindset here.) There have been multiple times where Cody has helped me find parts on the cheap from local wreckers. He even showed me his monitor during this process so I've seen what the yard charges for the part and I can be absolutely sure that it's the correct part. NOBODY else does this. I've had my car in here a couple times for different things and have always had an amazing experience. I'm the kind of person that likes to do as much work as possible on my cars on my own. Taking my car to a shop is a last resort for me. The guys at Point S really make me feel like I'm having my buddies work on my car for me and I trust them 100%. I always double check any work I have to have done and at lots of other shops I've had to bring my car back to fix a mistake or do additional repairs myself after I paid to have them done. That has never been the case when I've taken my car here. Its never fun to have to bring a vehicle in to a shop for repairs, but Cody and the guys here really go out of their way to make the process as painless as possible. They even have fast wifi and netflix on the tv in the waiting area. I really cannot recommend Point S in Sodo enough. If you need tires or mechanical work on your car, bring it here. You will not regret it.
I write reviews very infrequently, but I feel it is important to steer people away from this crooked shop. They told me last time I was in that my breaks pads were very very worn down. I said I have been coming here for two years, I trust you to tell me when something needs to be replaced. I was also driving a newborn around in that vehicle at the time. I also originally went in for a creaky sound in my steering; they told me that some arm of my car was broken and the wheel was basically going to fall off. I paid for almost two thousand dollars worth of repairs and the noise was still there. My car died yesterday and a former employee from their front desk recognized me as my car was being picked up by aaa. He said he recognized my car and felt bad for what happened to me there. Suggested that he was forced to keep his mouth shut about what really goes on there and called it Point - Sh*t. Also, one day I walked in there and there was all new staff and they basically said the whole last staff got fired and were all replaced because they were awful. Then my experience with the new staff was also not good. Anyway, way too many red flags to ignore. And, I have now paid for over 4K in repairs that I don’t trust. I have been told by more than one mechanic that the kind of car I have is “notoriously reliable”. I’m sure I was scammed the question is for how much.
Brought car in for typical front and rear brake job, only needed rear but I knew the fronts would need replaced soon so I had all done. As soon as I left the shop the front brakes squeaked, I called and they said that they need a break in period.......a week later still squeaking and now grinding. Took back to shop and they said it was not the front but the rears needed new calipers that they didn't replace initially so I had that done. Again I left and noticed that it was still indeed the front brakes grinding and squeaking. I took my car back the following week and they said it was my race track driving causing the issue. I had zero issues with the front brakes before I brought it in and the problems were from day 1 of the "repair", I have never had problems with brakes on this car until I took it to Good? Neighbor repair. They did offer to redo the brakes at my expense.....really You think I would pay you again They must use inferior replacement parts and do not warranty as they say they do, brakes failed from day one and no guarantee- I am out the most expensive brake job I have ever paid! Now I have to go to another shop to get the brakes done right. This is my experience, I know there have been positive reviews but this is how they handled my issue and did not resolve the problems that their shop caused. Won't be back!
Don't waste your time, or risk your personal safety, by trusting this shop with your vehicle. After they replaced two tires, one fell off as I was driving and the manager David immediately ducked all responsibility. My vehicle is now severely damaged and in need of repairs. Furthermore, at the time of service, they charged my debit card for someone else's repairs. These people are not the best, nor the brightest, and ultimately you'll have to pay someone else to correct their mistakes. Awful. Edit: The response below is precisely why you should avoid this business at all costs. Transparency? The vehicle was serviced at the onset of the pandemic and nearly every mile driven since the time of their "service" was driven the week of the accident. They know this yet still attempt to willfully mislead the public. Notice how they avoid even mentioning that they, in fact, did install the tire that rather mysteriously fell off my vehicle as I was driving? This business refuses to stand behind their work, which tells you everything you need to know, and I urge you to take your business literally anywhere else. I would not let them touch my vehicle again even if it was for free.
I had a good experience with this shop. Josh found me a great on a set of tires and David the manager was communicative and straight-forward when the job seemed to take a turn for the worse. Long story short, one of my wheels was seized in place after 4 East Coast winters. After spending tons of time on this issue-which time they did not charge me for-the mechanics determined they were going to have to use enough force to possibly break off the lugs, which would require additional repairs. David called me, explained the situation and got my approval to possibly incur additional repair expense. But guess what: they got the wheel off without any damage and I drove out of there that afternoon. They did a great job managing and then exceeding my expectations. On top of all of that, the guys were outgoing, sincere, and did everything possible to make sure I had a good experience, including one of the guys went and got his charger out of his car when my cell phone died. In sum, these guys aim to please, do good work, and offer good prices, at least on tires. I'll be back.
Dishonest and unethical! My husband and I took our car into Point S on Saturday for an oil change. A man, I assume who was the manager tried to upsell us into changing our all of our breaks ($1,000) and replacing our timing belt ($1,500) due to our car's mileage. The kicker is our car doesn't have a timing belt, it has a timing chain which does not need to be changed! Fortunately we knew enough about our vehicle and some mechanics efforts to upsell that we knew he wasn't being honest with us. Also our breaks have at least 25% life left in them and do not need to be changed (we went outside to check ourselves). We promptly finished the oil change and left. Just imagine if we hadn't known about the timing chain, we would be out at least $1,500 for something that doesn't even exist in our car and would have never even known! My suggestion: avoid this place. If you go somewhere for an oil change, only get an oil change. Take the car elsewhere for a second opinion to see if you actually need repairs.
I got a great deal on 4 tires on a good sale. Had my spare placed on there the day before, crazy fast, and was so impressed with everyone there that I will be going back for more. The digital inspection is a great way to get a feel what needs to happen next, especially on older cars, and gives you a way to look at getting an estimate on any of the items they think may need service. LOVE THAT! Chiane, Dave and Joseph were all fantastic at the desk! I didn't get his name but the technician that handled putting my spare on initially on Tuesday night went above and beyond as they were closing! Big Stars to YOU all! JC was my technician on my tires and they are solid! Thanks! I am so impressed with their service and the willingness to go the extra mile that I will be moving my regular maintenance to Point S! A big thank you to Chiane for truly going the extra mile through what could have been a difficult situation and doing the little things that can make a customer for life!
If I could give a higher rating I would give them 10 stars instead of 5. My tire got damaged and I didn’t have a spare one. I first visited pep boys since it was the closest one to me and in response they told me I had to wait about a week, which is ridicules. My next stop luckily for me was here. These guys on the other hand made sure that I was able to get on the road and most importantly they didn’t even charge me a dime! By doing that they have gained a loyal customer because next time I have any sort of tire related issues I know who my number #1 shop would be. Super friendly stuff Very honest and straightforward. I’m glad that there are still businesses that genuinely care about their clients !!! A++++ all the way. I really hope that others who want a fast and reliable service would choose these guys, since my experience was absolutely great and I’m sure your will be too! Thanks to the entire stuff at this location as they went above and beyond in helping me!
Getting car work done is anxiety inducing in itself - especially when it’s urgent. We’ve all heard plenty of warnings that repair shops will nickel and dime you every chance they get which has lead me to dread every interaction. Jaden and the crew at Good Neighbor were the exact opposite and have found a loyal customer in me, and anyone who asks for my recommendation, as long as they continue to be exactly as caring and professional as they were today. I hit a huge pothole on a camping trip the other day and needed a rim and tire repair as soon as I got back into town. I mentally prepared myself for them to tell me that I needed all new tires, new brake pads, and whatever else they could logically tie to the incident but instead repaired the major issue facing me and let me know what else I may need done in the future if I’m having any issues. Their customer service was top notch and I will absolutely be back when the time comes.
It's ok, place isn't bad, however by far Not Excellent. Pros - easy to find , friendly staff , (Please note friendly does not mean knowledgeable , and or honest) a big office waiting area , and open later than some other shops . We Cons - the lot is always full of junky cars and delivery vehicles making it difficult to to park . The prices for some of the services are very overpriced. I understand the company has to pay for the overhead , employees wages etc... For prices like that I'd expect top notch service (free car wash even ) but unfortunately it's Not like that . There's typically 2 employees there the manager and one other mechanic . Well during the times I go atleast . So you can imagine how much of a wait that's going to be. . In conclusion I'm sorry to say but there's other shops that do exact same things better and cheaper . So I personally would only go here if it were a last resort
It was 5 O’clock and I left work to realize I had a flat tire. Great. I stopped into the shop because it was the first I saw. They were supposed to close in 30 minutes :: panicking :: Darcy helped me as if there was no other priority than to help me. Within 3 minutes of walking in the door the tech had my car and was taking care of my flat. Even though I only had to wait for MAYBE 10 minutes, I was offered a seat in the lounge and access to Netflix to watch while I waited. I was about to pay and then Darcy told me about the fact that they offer free flat fixes and would pay for a lyft or uber if I need one! Had I known this place existed when I needed tire services in the past, you bet I would have been a customer before today. Top notch customer service by the entire team. You made a stressful situation so much better. My sincerest thanks to this team. -Shannon
UPDATE: Must be new ownership, and happened a couple months ago. While I will miss working with Chelsea & Quinn over many years, I look forward to meeting and working with the new team. The tech that was mentioned in my previous review I don't believe is still used. OP: I have been coming here for years because the team is friendly, efficient, and is willing to work with people on budget and determine what needs immediate attention. They have a new system that gives you a comprehensive, visual outline of all items (including photos), as well as email/text alerts & reminders for regular service. And much like apps on your phone, you have control of how you receive alerts/reminders. The thank you note I received in the mail following my service was super awesome!! I will continue to come here as long as I am in the Seattle area!
The first time these gentlemen took care of my car, I needed immediate replacement of a flat tire. Initially, the manager offered to fit me in later that day, but when I told him I'd been up for 24 hours and just pulled a 12-hour grave shift, and needed to get home, he said he'd do it himself if necessary, to get me on the road. Pretty amazing from a company that's not hurting for business. The second time was for an oil change. They not only completed the service in less than the agreed upon time, they sent pictures of every aspect of the car they inspected. The thoroughness of the inspection, the reasonable recommendations for future service, and their general easy approach with their customers makes this a solid five-star service center. If you're jaded toward mechanic shops, this is the place that will change your mind.
the people were accommodating and knowledgeable and in the end I was given good advice on what I need to do to fix the job i just happened to know what was wrong with the car and told them as much but it still ended in a 150+ bill with another 900$ price tag estimated to be how much it would cost to install what I was missing... I paid the original bill, took the car and left. ultimately i felt a little bit of anger at being charged the full diagnostic hour when I brought it in to have one specific thing looked at but they did they're jobs and thats all I can ask thanks good neighbor tire solo I did end up getting the pedal assembly off ebay so wish me luck in the future rebuild.
We traveled from Tri-Cities for my girlfriend's appointment. We only needed one tire fixed but Josh offered an amazing deal on a set of 2. He wasn't pushy at all and was conscientious enough to understand we were on a tight budget. The experience was wonderful and they were all very accommodating. They gave us some recommendations after a free full inspection, but again they weren't pushy at all. After they inspect your vehicle, you get a link via text or email that gives you a full report on any potential issues, and they also include pictures! We would actually consider driving all the way over to Seattle to get our cars worked on, that's how wonderful they were!
Honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had with a mechanic or automotive place. I had a side wall puncture of my tire, work in sodo but live in Kent. Much too dangerous to drive all that way with that damage. Even though they were booked solid for days, Jaiden heard my panic and put me at ease “I can’t promise I can do it quickly, but if you’re okay with it I can fit you between appointments. I can’t having you drive unsafe with that.” He was sweet, caring and helpful. CUSTOMER SERVICE is an art that is largely dying, especially with big companies focusing on metrics. But this customer service was unparalleled. Absolutely recommend them.
The good: the person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The bad: I just wanted to put the snow tires on, then they informed me that the tire pressure sensor needed to be replaced, which I agreed to also have done. It hadn’t been set up correctly, so while driving home it showed an error code and by the time I got home, I also had a flat tire. Then, I return to have those two issues addressed, and after over two hours all they’ve done is repair the flat tire. The sensor never got completed. It was removed and at the two hour 15 minute mark I simply said, give me my car back and I left, 1 sensor less than when I walked in.
I walked-in first thing in the morning to fix what I thought was a single nail in one of my tires. They ended up finding multiple and the location of one was bad enough they recommend I only drive it out of the garage on my spare or have all four tires replaced (all-wheel drive). Without asking they brought the tire in to show me exactly what they were talking about and why they made the recommendations they did. I was able to have my tires replaced the same day and they offered to get me to/from work as I wasn't expecting to have to leave it for the day. I am very appreciative of everything they did to help me today!
They’re exceptional! I’ve used them twice. Once to replace 1 tire. Brand new tires and one got sliced on the way to Sea Tac. The manager there was the only one that didn’t treat me like “little lady” when I called. The price was more than fair, service expedient and everyone working there knowledgeable and professional. The 2nd time was to get a quote on my early 2000’s Acura MDX. The team there was again the only place that zeroed in on the problem with a great quote. My biggest concern moving here was not getting overcharged for car work. I talked to a lot of places, used 2 others before finding this gem.
Call around. Get estimates from other shops first. Go pretty much anywhere else. Routine Vehicle maintenance is not that costly no matter the make and model. $450 for a battery replacement. Yeah right! $159.06 just to “diagnose” any problems(that’s my fault for not calling around first and being desperate) Does not recommend. Will not return. Already have appointment booked down the road after getting estimates from a few other shops in the area, none were even half the total cost PointS quoted us. 100% scam. The “S” stand for SCAM. At least they topped the coolant off and put air in the tires.
I brought my car in for an oil change and inspection. In the inspection they noted a fuel leak. I was quoted over $700 on diagnostics alone to find the source of a fuel leak. When I tried to ask questions about what the price range could be to fix the actual problem they were not able to give me an answer. I decided to get a second opinion, and brought my car to a different shop. The other shop was able to quickly locate the source of the leak and charged me $725 for diagnostics AND repair. I would not recommend bringing your car here if you are looking for a fair price.
I've been here twice. First time earlier in the summer was great, so I decided to come back. Second time was so-so... when I dropped off my car I mentioned that my tire pressure light had turned on and requested additional service to inflate them to the correct pressure. I expected the pressure light to turn off after a mile or so of driving. It did not, so I checked the tire pressure with my own gauge and found that all four were 3.5-5 psi under-inflated. I don't know if it was an honest oversight or someone was trying to pull a fast one, but I won't be going back.
You guys rock. The guys at SoDo Point S were so helpful and informative. Made my entire experience a breeze. I had a flat tire at work their shop is only a mile from my work. I dropped off my car on my lunch they were so kind to drive me back to work so I didn’t have to walk or take the bus. They kept me informed throughout the entire process. The even picked me up from work when my car was ready. Chase, David & Joey were so kind and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. Great guys! Great business! I’ll be taking my car there from here on out!
My experience at Good Neighbor Tire Sodo was phenomenal. My car had a mysterious noise that several mechanics prior to Good Neighbor Tire Sodo couldn't identify. Chelsea, Lexi, Quentin and their awesome crew worked so hard to find the issue and spent so much time getting my car back into excellent shape. One big difference from other shops was how they listened and how often they checked in to let me know how repairs were going. They even communicated with other shops to find the best information for me car and overall went above and beyond. Thanks again all!
Chase and David at this location were absolutely the best! They attempted to repair two leaky tires on my car and when one was found to be unrepairable, tracked down an identical replacement for what is apparently quite a rare high performance size, and filed a tire hazard claim with my original tire vendor for me. All this within a couple of hours on a early morning when most of “snowed in” Seattle was still trying to figure out whether they would be able to safely maneuver around the snowflake or two they might run into on their way to work. Thanks guys!!
I can't speak highly enough about David and all the guys at Point S in SODO. We recently had our 3rd experience there and i must say, each time they've impressed us more and more. I've often said "I just wish i had a good mechanic I can trust." Well, I've finally found them. They work hard and conscientiously to diagnose problems and find solutions that work for everyone. They're not just out to make a quick buck at customer's expense. They've made loyal customers out of us and I highly recommend them.
Came here to get tires mounted on wheels. No delay to get an appointment, which was awesome as everywhere else wanted a lot of hoops jumped through/didn't have time for several days. They gave great advice when my first choice didn't work out and remembered me by name when I came back :) Maybe not the cheapest place for a mounting/balancing job, but it's more than worth it for the convenience and customer service. Haven't driven on this set yet but as far as I can tell they did a great job.
Won't ever be recommending this place to friends. My girlfriend took my car in to get an oil change before a trip. They upsold her in a massive way into buying a much higher oil change package than needed and then tried to convince her my tires, front brakes and two filters were bad. I've subsequently had all checked by multiple people and they have found only an issue with one tire. Very unhappy with my experience, will never go back and will tell all of my friends to avoid this place.
They changed my oil before a drive to southern Oregon. Turns our they didn't remove my oil filter as it was a but stuck but did manage to crimp it with a wrench. Well that crimp eventually ruptured and oil from my car spilled out. Had I not been close to another oil change center my car would have been dead on the side of the road. There they showed me the unchanged, damaged filter that broke. Previously I had positive expierences there but this instance has soured my opinion of them.
My 2020 Yukon front brakes started squealing today and I called around to find a shop that could get my car fixed up. Sean the manager was able to get me in today and his tech replaced my brakes quickly and they are working great! Other shops I called sounded either less than excited to help me today or unsure about getting my car finished today. These guys were confident about getting it done and did everything they said they would do. I will be back and will recommend this shop.
I would highly recommend getting your car serviced here. I was in a panic when I found out my car battery wasn’t charging. I stopped by and Chase at the front desk did everything he could to make sure a mechanic could squeeze my car in for repairs on a very busy day. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I found this place on accident after being shooed away from the competition down the street. I’m definitely bringing my car here for regular maintenance.
I can barely explain in words how Helpful this team of mechanics was in getting me back on the road. I hit the kerb side and needed to new tires, in oil change, and in alignment. The mechanic Named demario got me in for an appointment within the hour of my accident, and got me out the shop within the next 45 minutes. His services were outstanding, affordable, and he explained the whole process to me. This is my new auto shop for all my needs.
I called Good Neighbor as I was looking for a quick oil change for my truck. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very professional and helpful. It turned out that my specific request didn't fit their services, so instead she referred me to quick-lube shop down the street that was able to get me in immediately. Really appreciated the honest and friendly communication; I will certainly consider this location for my next major service!
Affordable Tire Factory performed several repairs to my truck shortly after they opened at this, their fourth, location. I experienced a minor glitch or two that were likely caused by a faulty replacement part and by a miscommunication. Tony, the owner, contacted me about me about my experience and went above and beyond to make my experience positive. I will use them for future repair work and will consider them when I need new tires.
Such great service. I came in without an appointment because I got a flat tire on the way to work. My experience with tire stores is that they always tell you that you need a new tire and can't repair yours, so my trust is low. Not Sun Auto! They actually repaired it quickly and provided great customer service. I had a really bad experience at Pep Boys (down the street) last year, so if you have a choice, I highly recommend Sun Auto!
This was by far my most positive experience with a shop ever. Thanks to Seattle’s Swiss cheese roads at the moment, I blew out two tires. Even though they were slammed busy with the long weekend, they squeezed me in. Not only did they replace my tires, but preformed a full inspection on my car. They were friendly, and helpful. I will come here any chance I get, and suggest anyone else who’s nervous about car repairs to do the same!
I love the shop they told me with my old mechanic did and they show me what was wrong with the car before they did anything with a free diagnostic and they got my car up and running like it should I give him five stars rating the other old mechanic that I had screwed me over bad but thanks to good neighbors tires they help me out a lot I recommend for anybody to bring the car there truthful and honest people sincerely Vernon
I brought in my ford bronco after another shop had destroyed the starter in it. Payton was really helpful and understanding of the situation and they did their best to get me parts within my budget. I don’t feel like they were trying to push things on me which is always something you worry about going to the mechanic, so that was nice. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again to Payton, super nice guy.
They guys did a great job! Got me in for a repair very quickly.fixed a pretty major problem in one day. They communicated with me very well. They proved to me that they will stand behind there work. I was made to feel very comfortable while I was there. Seem like a great bunch of guys. I'll bring my business there again without hesitation and will proudly recommend them to my friends and family.......
A very friendly and thorough shop! I had many questions on tires and they were patient with me taking a couple days to do some research and make a decision. They also did a thorough inspection of my car and found broken brake shoes the toyota dealership missed just a month before. They included many photos and a clear diagnostic so I knew exactly what the problem was. Thank you Good Neighbor Tire!
I love this business. Honest, friendly and knowledgeable. Further, David was amazing to work with. He helped me find great tires after listening to what I wanted in my new tires. I also have two young children and wasn't able to figure out when I could drop off/pick up my car. He sent someone out to pick up my car, put the tires on, and returned the car in the same day. Amazing. Highly recommend.
Awesome place to take any Vehicle. David is a fantastic manager. I spent a little money on an old Dodge wagon 1999. They didn’t wuss out . I strongly believe these are honest people. They really treat their customers right at competitive prices. It’s not corporate! They gave a loner truck overnight. No questions ask when my vehicle took a little TLC over night. Send your Vehicle to these guys.
Excellent diagnosis and honest assessment of the brake system issue on my daughter’s older keep liberty. Sean’s approach was thorough, informing us everything that was a potential issue with priorities ranked, allowing us to get her car in shape for a long trip. We appreciated the honesty, quality of work, and same day repair. Would certainly return and highly recommend.
This place makes me feel comfortable, whereas, I feel, many vehicle places(be it maintenance, or buying) can feel scummy and like they took advantage of you. They do a great job on the vehicle, and their service is top notch(shout out to David, who makes me feel like family). I would recommend people use them because they take great care in every aspect of their service
If you feel that customer service is either becoming non-existant or scripted and cold in our society, come visit the Tire Factory. Genuinely friendly and very helpful. They were great at explaining to me about A/C servicing/diagnosing options. Used laymens terms for me but didn't treat me like I was born yesterday. Thanks! Plus, I've got cold air again:)
I was visiting Seattle and was looking at an 8 hour return trip. My car’s brakes had suddenly began making an unwelcome screeching noise. I contacted this shop because my tire shop at home is also a Point S shop. Doug had my car in and out very quickly. Turned out it was very minor. I was able to relax and enjoy the rest of my weekend. Thanks Doug Scott
I brought in my old Uhaul and got a great deal on Tires (needed 6 big ones) and Cory showed me (brought me under the truck to look) a few things that might need a little work in the future, but said it would be fine for a while, just to watch it! So happy to find an honest shop in Sodo. Will be going there and am recommending friends and family.
Needed to get a tire repaired after some cruddy experiences at Pep Boys, and Chase and Payton (pardon if I got their names spelled wrong) - treated me like a person and got me fixed up very quickly. The diagnostics done on the car gave me a good sense of what else I needed to get my car in good shape again. Would highly recommend this spot!
David and his Team are outstanding! In the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown they were able to repair my flat tire in less than an hour start to finish. The facility was clean, properly spaced and hand sanitizer was available for all. They go above and beyond to keep their customers safe and happy. I will use them for any needs in the future.
Had a flat today on the way to work. Called the guys at point s and they got me in right away and was able to return my truck to me within 25 mins of arriving. What great quick service and they did the repair at no cost. While I was there they also did a free inspection and top off my fluids. They are now our shop for all of our vehicles!
Thought I had a bigger problem then what I actually had. They were very honest with me and gave me a detailed report on everything. They helped me prioritize and gave me a few options and it blows me away that they took photos and explained everything to me in a way I can understand. Thank you so much I will always come to good neighbor.
Doug was a fantastic help fixing my wheel bearing in my Taurus and explaining to me in detail why it needed to be done in a timely fashion do to winter coming. After getting it fixed, this is by far the only shop I will only go to based on experience, professionalism, and cost. Also they care for you like family like no other shop would.
First, I just want to say thanks for staying open for us during this unusual time!! I work in the neighborhood and came by because I had a nail in my tire. the guy that works there (Joey) took care of it within 15 minutes. Awesome customer service. I highly recommend this location if you’re looking for friendly quick service
Mounted and balanced all four new tires for an extremely affordable price. Everyone is super friendly and professional. I was in and out. They work fast but thoroughly. They make sure to ask questions and confirm things before doing anything. I would definitely recommend Good Neighbor Tire-SODO to anyone in Seattle.
The front desk is knowledgeable, communicative and willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The tech who worked on my truck made sure I knew what he was doing and why it was necessary. I felt comfortable and confident in the labor performed and would highly recommend Good Neighbor Tire.
They replaced my stolen catalytic converter in one day, including the time for insurance estimate! Friendly staff! Chelsea was great and went above and beyond to answer my questions and never made me feel like a bother. Plenty of free parking and pretty quick access to I-5 via Spokane St. Recommended …
I stopped in for a quick oil change and the fast friendly service made me feel like I've been a customer for years. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a great customer service experience to give these guys the opportunity to go above and beyond to help with any of your auto repair needs. …
These people lie, cheat and steal. Terrible terrible management. Won't stand by their work after they install it wrong. In response to supposed owner response to this review. I never threatened the staff. Funny how lazy this "owners" response is - no accountability - just excuses and more excuses...
Chase was very helpful when I brought in my Jeep Cherokee for some fluid flush and an unexpected brake drum replacement. The guys documented everything, talked me through all what needs to be done and what can wait. Overall it was just a great experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable mechanics.
Went in with a flat tire, and was welcomed by the Manager David. At first I didn't know what to expect since I've had bad experiences with mechanics in the past. I was suprised at the speed and world class service I received from the staff. I would not hesitate bringing my vehicle back if needed.
I had a great experience at Good Neighbor. Chelsea, the manager, was extremely professional and kept me up to date on the entire process, and even followed up with me the next day to make sure my car was running well. Their website was really helpful as well. They have my business going forward!
I have been pleased with my service. Recently apparently I had a miscommunication, I ended up paying for A diagnostic but not the repair. I have been given a credit to have this done but this just grated on me. Why wouldn’t I have had the repair done if I was going to have to pay for it anyway.
I stopped to help a driver with a flat tire on the west Seattle bridge and his spare tire didn't have any air in it. I brought it here to get some air and found out the valve stem was broken, after explaining the situation David was kind enough to fix it free of charge! Great customer service.
This was hands-down, the most thorough and positive experience I’ve had a with a Mechanic in Seattle in 13 years, I’ve lived here. Sean was the person who took care of us, and he rolled with the punches and changes that need to happen and get everything done extremely well and under budget.
Came here to get a Estimate and spoke with David Wright . Talk about a Knowledgeable and honest man. He actually told me that I didn’t need some of the Services that was suggested by prep boys because it wasn’t Necessary. He was also very Informative and taught me a lot about my jeep
I had a flat tire the night before and I had to drive up to a close by shop that would not take me. Good thing this shop is open and they were able to help me out. They are very professional. They had it done before the end of the day. The price is very reasonable.
I have used these guys for both of my cars for several years now. They are priced competitively and their service is tremendous. I would not hesitate to use them for not only tires and brakes but any other service you need for your car. I will continue to use them.
This team is amazing. Had a blow out in sodo and bent the rim. They found the me the same replacement rim within 24 hours and ordered it for me. Worked around my schedule to let me arrive at the best time. Would recommend. Big company with a family owned feel.
They did a full brake and rotor replacement on my husband's 2015 Elantra. The service was impeccable and inexpensive. They helped us get our car ready for a cross-country road trip. The guy helping us was so friendly. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!
Pass this location all the time and never knew it was there until I need tire service. The professionalism and kindness was great made me feel special! I will return again for any tire service we have. Thank you guys for helping me out in the last minute
Twice I've received service at this location--once with a tire emergency. I couldn't have taken my vehicle anywhere else-- they could have price-gouged me (I half expected it honestly) and instead they were super transparent and very reasonably priced.
Bought 4 new tires from them and they installed. Despicably they loosened my front driver side Brake Caliper enough so it would leak fluid so they could charge me for a new hose and Caliper. A different shop showed me what was loosened. Don't risk it.
Nick at the front desk could not be anymore professional and helpful. He let me know of other things my car needed fixing, offered many recommendations and had me in and out in great time. Happy holidays to Nick and the whole squad. Thanks again!
I always feel comfortable bringing my car into Good Neighbor for repairs. I have an older car and am baby stepping the car for repairs. David understands that and works with me so that I can keep the car as long as possible. Mary Jane Michaels
I unfortunately had my car stolen and impounded over the summer. Sun Auto helped me fix my car once it was returned. I needed a window replacement, a new battery, oil change and have the ignition lock replaced. I did have to go back to them
Terrible customer service harrassment about a battery I purchased about 4 months ago. They wanted to charge me 80 dallors to test brakes. Most places do it for free. They said they would not apply to the service if I got brakes replaced.
I had a nail in my tire. Stopped by on my way to work, Dave was very helpful and JJ fixed my tire in 30 min. Friendly and efficient customer service and they did not even charge me. I will be back for any future car needs. Thank you.
Not Friendly Stuff in the office. I do not recommend anybody to go here to do alignment. Poor quality and not safe do drive after alignment job. High cost of work more than double, more expensive than in dealerships. Zero Stars.
The best customer service i have ever seen. Took great care of my car and client. She flew in from airport my tire had a slow leak and they went and fit her in and got it done quick. Very awesome team there and highly recommend
SunAuto is an amazing. Very welcoming. I love that they have a place where you sit while they work on your car. And they have wifi. Very convenient. Customer service is amazing as well. Would definitely recommend this place.
Excellent service! Chase helped me out with their very Thorough inspection process and made sure I was completely informed the whole time. I would highly recommend bringing your car here if youre looking to be taken care of.
Took my car in because my brakes were squealin' crazy. They fixed the problem without trying to upsell me on an entire new brake and rotor replacement. Service was great, staff was friendly, helpful and informative.
I stopped in with a flat spare tire. I brought it here to get some air and found out the valve stem was no good. David the store manager was kind enough to fix it free of charge! Great customer service!! …
Sun Auto repaired my tire within an hour and were able to see me on short notice within a day. Other places were saying 6 weeks to even *look* at my car. Price for service was good. Very happy with sun auto.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Work was done as described and priced. I did not have an appointment so they promised to work me in the schedule. The work was finished well before I expected. Thanks!
Phillip from Greg’s was amazing! Came in after Pep Boys gave me a lazy run around and had my new tire mounted in 15 minutes. We returned for a while rotation and again, in and out! Highly recommend Sun.
They do great work at competitive prices! Always nice when I have gone in. They will only charge you labor for the jobs where you bring your own parts in, but their warranty will not cover those jobs.
Although when I showed up for an appointment they did not have the correct oil filter, they ordered it for next time gave me a customer service discount for my trouble, and did everything efficiently.
This shop went above and beyond for me and my car. They were so helpful, explained everything, and bent over backwards to get what they needed to fix my car. Thank you so much, especially to Chelsea!
Great local auto care in SoDo. Sean was able to fit me in on a Friday afternoon for an oil change! They also recommended maintenance services with fair prices and checked my tires too. Will be back.
Called in a last minute tire job and they were able to source Cooper AT3's for a same day install. They provided great and timely service in the city. Will definitely return for needed auto work.
I had a popped tire, so AAA towed my car here for service. They were able to supply me with a new tire with a 50K mile warranty for slightly under $200. Thank you all for helping me in a pickle.
Very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Cody went out of his way to get my car what was needed. Had a problem after a week or so, returned and they took care of the issue right away. Happy customer!
Super responsive and flexible with scheduling. They got my car in within 2 days and fixed it same day. It was a really great experience and I would definitely bring my car back for maintenance!
Professional demeanor and work. Went there to fix a tire leak and they found it was a crack in the sidewall and needs to be replaced. Did not charge me for diagnosis. Would highly recommend.
Great customer service, affordable prices, and walk-in/same-day service for some work. Cody at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. My go-to place for regular car maintenance needs.
