Sundaravan - It's a Truly Truly amazing Nature Experience...a True Nature Discovery Centre. Set in the heart of Ahmedabad city, it is a well maintained green zoo that engages our senses with the beauty and sounds of nature. It's near ISRO. Sundarvan has a collection of reptiles, birds, small mammals, a butterfly garden and an aquarium. I have heard from some Amdavadis around my place that Sundarvan’s activities with children and youth act as a catalyst to stimulate in them a process of inquiry into nature, so I decided to visit it and actually found it interesting. With a nominal entry fee for adults and kids, this place is worth visiting. We visited this Mini Zoo on Saturday and it was a very pleasant experience. There are many birds, rabbits, ducks, turkey, geese, dove, guinea pigs, turtles, tortoise, snakes, fishes, crocodiles, etc.kept in natural environment. There is a sort of jungle gym and a open play area for kids. We found peacocks freely roaming there. We found some info about snake awareness program, green birthday party, puppet shows etc.too being organized there at specific timings. My kiddo ❤ enjoyed to the fullest there. She got to hold rabbit, touched and feed birds there and played with them. This place really touched my heart and I will take my kid occasionally there so that she gets a good nature break and walk as well. It was sad to hear from the people working there that due to Covid, people have stopped coming there and also there are very few sponsors with them for taking care of animals there. I saw notice boards around animal stay areas to adopt or sponsor their food/medical so that these animals can survive. Hope things get normal soon.

There are few natural, beautiful and peaceful places in Ahmedabad, sundarvan is one of them and has all of that. Unlike any other park it's located in the middle or can say heart of the city just besides ISRO. The place is well connected by BRTS, a local transportation system and on the main road. Like any other down town destination the place has very small parking space, couple of cars to few bikes. The entry fee for park is 30 INR, less than a dollar that attracts all the classes of crowd in terms of economical background. Upon a main entrance there is a fancy wooden shade done with bamboo strips. Wood Bamboo strips in the railings are freely used. Place got so many children's active like see saw, hanging tyre and so on. Other things that catches our eyes is tyre swing also called as jhula. It's very good for small school picnic for a day or two. Little play and gathering areas are there. If you want to perform any function than there is a stage setup for that. People are amazed by crocodile and different type of turtle. Different varieties of venomous and non venomous snakes in the glass cage are wonderful experience to see. Bird's like budgrigar, love birds and White pegions are good to see in close vicinity. On the other side of the main park there is a bird cage a lake and accommodating ducks and different varieties of . You can give them rice Puffs they'll eat from your hands that was one of the best experience so far.

For schools specifically designed one day programmes are an excellent tool for introducing, understanding and reaffirming many environmental concepts that go beyond the scope of textbooks. This natural refuge is indeed a mini zoo committed to spreading awareness and sensitivity towards nature. It is most known for the variety of snakes like Russel's viper, Red Sand boa and the revered Indian cobra. Every Sunday they have a snake show in their small amphitheater where the reptiles are removed from their cages. The center also gives its services to rescue snakes whenever they get calls from befuddled city residents. Other than snakes, the zoo also has a marsh crocodile, porcupine, a small aquarium and a bird section. But it is much more beautiful to see birds like pheasant crows flying freely and peacocks dancing away in this natural setting. On a friend's visit to Ahmedabad, we took the kids to Sundervan. The place is a refreshing change from the concrete jungle around. The area is quite big with trees of all kinds. After you get your ticket for entry, they guide you to the enclosure for birds. They have a few animals here like the ducks,porcupine,hedgehog, guniea pigs and love birds. Then comes the other area where the trail leads you to the various enclosures for the crocodile, the turtules,the snakes. The enclosures for the snakes are not very well made as spotting them inside is a tough job. They have a section for the aquarium which bears a deserted look. The children had a fun time walking along the path that gives some feel of a jungle. There are a few swings for children but they are not in a very good condition. The hours for visit are quite limited so one would have to rush across the whole place. An average place for children and parents looking for an outdoor activity for a few hours.

Its an amzing place for your kids specially located in Jodhpur, Ahmedabad. It has around 100+ two wheel parking capacity inside the premises. Parking is free but entey fee for adult is Rs. 30 and for child is Rs. 20. Its basically starts with children play area from the left and then aquarium, snake house. The best part is tracking area for children upto 12 year age which is mind refreshing for the children. It has birds part just after the parking premises where you can feed ducks, white rats, rabbit and different types of parrots. They have setup a puppet show from the right side of play area where you or your kids can enjoy the funny puppet show. 3 hours are enough to cover all the sections and part of Sundarvan. So take your kids this place without fail if you're looking for a short time refreshment

The height measurements also can be done for free. If we consider the zoo The maintenance is very bad The animals are not getting proper care Their living areas are not clean properly. The fish tanks are dirty as hell. There are only a few fish tanks. 8 to 10 tortoise. The 2 crocodiles will be there. There are many varieties in snakes like python, Indian cobra, black rat snake etc. They are well maintained. The direction ⬇️⬆️ are not given properly. My suggestion is to maintain the zoo properly.

Hidden gem of Ahmedabad. A good national sanctuary amidst the heart of the city. This is a small zoo charing entry fee of Rs.30 for adults and Rs.20 for kids. There are birds, snakes, crocodile, peacock sheltered. Play area for kids available. You can feed birds as well. The aquarium is not in good condition and the pond area is in the very worst condition. Worth enjoying and learning place for kids and students but it's fruitful only if taken proper care. Nothing more but you can enjoy peaceful environment. Nothing is available to eat or drink inside the zoo. Better to carry from outside. Closing time is 7 PM. Better not to visit during monsoon.

Sundarvan is just the name Sundarvan, even in the whole Sundarvan there is nothing in the name of cleanliness, and inside there is a lack of cleanliness in animal habitats as well as bird cages, and their necessities like water, food etc. are not adequately maintained, birds, fish in the house The condition of crocodiles, turtles, snakes, their drinking water as well as their food is unhygienic, whose health raises the question of how long mute animals and birds can survive in such conditions. What you have to say is that once you visit, see for yourself how miserable the animals and birds are. Hari om!

I recently visited sundarvan with my colleagues, it was a academic tour from my college. They showed us different non-venomous snakes and gave us great information about them. a tiny zoo that had a surprisingly beautiful and natural feel. Despite its size, the zoo managed to create a charming atmosphere that instantly captivated me. The Snake demonstration show was incredibly informative, offering valuable insights into these fascinating creatures. In a nutshell, this small zoo may be petite, but it certainly packs a punch with its natural beauty and entertaining shows.

It's a small zoo at satellite area of Ahmedabad. Don't know if it is maintained by Govt or by private the condition of the zoo was not that good. They have a separate birds section with variety of birds and small mammals. Children playing area. Small pond. Snake area. I think more snakes will be outside those glass cages. Fish aquarium condition was really poor. They do snake awareness show and puppet shows also. Zoo is adjacent to the main road connecting Maninagar to Iskcon. Star bazar, Jodhpur bus stop will be nearer. Ticket is Rs 50/-

Sundarvan, is awesome place for nature lover in Ahmedabad. You can see monkeys roaming around, peacock, Bats. I have been to this place many many times and for many years. Every Sunday they have got a snake show in their small amphitheater in which the reptiles are removed from their cages. The middle additionally offers its services to rescue snakes every time they get calls from befuddled town residents. Other than snakes, the zoo additionally has a marsh crocodile, porcupine, a small aquarium and a chicken section. But it's far tons extra beautiful to see birds like pheasant crows flying freely and peacocks dancing away on this natural placing.

We came across Sundarvan situated on the SG highway, this is the place where we are close to a natural world. They keeps all the birds on one side...where we can face them ang enjoy time....they feeds us the food for birds also, where they puts them on the dish. Per dish 20 rupees. There is also children's play here. But As per their availability, the management should upgrade the children's play equipment. If there is upgradation, tourists will also come here. Which will be better here for now. Place needs something better management .... Then worth it.

This place is located near ISRO Ahmedabad. Entry cost is Rs 20 for children below 12 and for others Rs 30. Timings are from 9am to 6pm Talking about variety of animals.. this place has variety of reptiles. Different types of snakes with detailed information written about it, crocodiles , python, tortoise of 3 different types and fishes. You may encounter many peacocks as they roam freely inside, also some ducks, geese and hens are roaming free where you can feed them by yourself which was the best part! Rabbits, guinea pigs and many birds of different varieties can be seen. There is a separate play area for children.

For a place where you need to pay an entry fee - this is very poorly maintained. There is a bird section with one and attraction - TURKEY - which you may not find at too many places. They charge you to “buy food and feed them”. There are few other birds - mostly ducks. There is a section for snakes - again badly maintained but educational. If you are lucky you might get to see couple of crocodile. There is a small children’s playing area and seating area. The place is peaceful overall.

Not much crowded, it's very good place for the kids specially, different types of birds available, we can feed them, kids play area, they charged 30 rs for adult and 20 rs for kids more than age 1 year Allover good experience in the crowded place we have this kind of nature place Now they charging 50 rs per adult and 40 rs per child. A good national sanctuary amidst the heart of the city But badly need to maintain the organisms than it may be snakes,fishes in the aquarium or the birds. Good play area for kids but again not well maintained. A humble request to the authorities,kindly pay attention to the overall maintenance of lovely sundarvan. The child play area here is pretty decent, and that's what makes it awesome for the kids! Plus, it's so much fun feeding the birds. If you're an animal lover, you'll totally enjoy this place. It's like being embraced by nature's lap - so nice! Although, there is room for improvement, especially in terms of cleanliness. But all in all, it's been an average experience. An average.... Very Small and not maintained as it should have been maintained. .. Sundarban is a small animal park and it is not being maintained as it should be Nature Park has lots of different kind of snakes and there is is there organising evening snake show on every Sunday so it is good to visit on Sunday as you can and watch snake show also but it it is not being maintained as it should be it can be maintained in a very well man it is well within the city so so there is issue of parking. Sundarvan has good public transportation. BRTS is available at the star bazar stop. A good place for children to see birds near them not in the cage. We can feed the birds at a nominal rate of 20 ₹. Adult tickets are 40 ₹. 10 car parking and few two wheeler parking facilities available at free of cost. A child play area and a small aquarium are also available. Water, washroom facility available. We can visit the garden within 1 hr time frame.

If you have a upto 10 years old, this can be a good place to hangout. This is a kind of portable zoo. Kids will surely enjoy the natural environment and different kind of birds and animals. I did visit ut several times and I must say this is one of the maintained zoo. Now it also has introduced a very nice and view of "ghariyaal" (crocodile). It is a place where you can invest around 1.5 - 2 hours. Every parents should get their kids visit this place. The timings are from 4 pm to 7 pm. Every Sunday they host snake show. Not something which we should miss!!

Superb place to visit with children. Birds , snake , Crocodile , Tortoise , fishes and many more animals can be seen here. In vacation time try to visit once with your children and relatives it is must visit place in Ahmedabad. On Sundays they arranges snake awareness programs and puppet show at 4:30 pm. Entry fees are 30₹ per person and 20₹ per child. I am personally recommend to visit this place for awareness of nature and animals.

It was a nice experience visiting this place. The tickets are very nominal at 30 rupees. Birds section is a major attraction where you can feed and feel the birds as they roam around you freely. They have a small aquarium and a section having different species of snakes. There's a separate children play area where child.can engage in some fun loving activities. If below 1 star was possible I would rather rate below 1..it is not because the place is not happening,.. it is because it was so dirty, mosquitoes were there, and wildlife is in danger, just check photos once, i will not recommend this place at all, 1 star i can say i have given because bird place ... This is an Amazing place to Visit in Ahmedabad City. I can't imagine such a Natural place is available in satellite Area which is very VIP Area in Ahmedabad. This place is Surviving for a Budget. So I would suggest all of you whatever you can Donate in cash or Indirectly that would Save this Beautiful and Natural place in the Heart of the City. There is 2 main attractions here. 1st is puppets show and 2nd is knowledge about snakes. In this snake show you will see the real Snakes in open area.

Picnic place in middle of the Ahmedabad. A small zoo. Go with your child it's specially for child I went there with my son and he is happy. Good place in heart of city. Needs more attention on aquarium area. Also they renovated many things compare to last year. Visit charges also increased adult 50 & 40 for age below 12 years. You can feed birds but needs to buy ticket from counter only of 30 RS per plate. No outside food allowed for feeding. Also nothing is available for eat & drink so plan accordingly.

I have been visiting this place since I was a child. And to go back to this place after covid now, it was a different experience! I have grown up watching snake shows, and it had in many ways inculcated wildlife conservationism in me. There are reptiles n birds to watch. A small aquarium passage. My 5 yr old enjoyed being here. They also had a snake show followed by a puppet show. The ticket price is 20/- n 10/- for adults n children. Their is also a small play area n park. They have different activities like nature trails, overnight camping, bird feeding on selective days for children. They have a parking space. We went on a Sunday evening, from 6 to 7p.m. n loved every bit of it.

Child play area is good enough That's why it's a good place for kids. It is fun to feed the birds. If someone is an animal lover then he or she can enjoy it. Place is quite, but not like the zoo nor a bird sanctuary, land owner make some changes and provide this place for morning walk and you can charge 10 or 20rs from every person. It's a better option. You find some Bird and some snake only. Small rope for children walking, nothing mutch that.

It was very wonderful experience at the place, we visited first time. Some of it parts is under renovation but you will get veriety of birds, crocodile, snakes etc. It's very small but decent enough to spend your day with kids.having little adventures activities in the park, aquarium etc.

A very nice weekend evening place for your children ( up to 8 years). Able to see birds in person( out of cage), turkey, duck, teal, cook etc. A puppet show, children play area, other animal like snakes, turtle, crocodile in small zoo. You can easily spend 1 - 1.5 hr there.

It's a hidden gem inside the city area! Quite large area. Must visit with little kids for aviary and bird experience, few reptiles, fishes are there, although both are not well maintained! Overall good but as per ticket price they should maintain it in better condition.

Well maintained, small zoo kind of nature park in the city of Ahmedabad. Good for small kids as there is a lot of greenery, less number of species such as snakes, birds, rabbits, fishes. There is a good play area for children which have few interesting rope activties.

Mini zoo in center of the city with few small animals and birds Here they have seprate bird park where different types of birds are kept and some of them are not in cage and roaming around us. They have big Turkeys as well here. Have fish aquarium area with small fished Snaks are here and they have special area for that Also sundarvan has play area for childrens as well

Amazing place for children (Age group 5 to 15) Place is like a small Zoo, Animals Crocodile, Many Snacks, varieties of Fish, Birds, Entry fees 50 for elders and 40 for children and it's worth it. Also some adventure parks for fun (Age group 5 to 15)

Nice place to be visited with your Young ones. It's a sort of small zoo with limited species of animals. Could have been well managed. Snake & Puppets show on Sundays shall add on for children. A ok place to be in wild in the town, for a while.

Brilliant place. More people need to go here. Would be great if the place was kept cleaner, and the public was mindful of littering too. It’s so sad to see the animal enclosures littered with the garbage visitors leave behind. An oasis of peace amidst the bustle of the city Go inside and suddenly you won’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city anymore.

The animals have drastically reduced and many of the enclosures are empty. There were a lot of mosquitos and the experience was not pleasant at all. The bird feeding area is also not kept tidy. The only good area was snakes enclosures.

It was a very place lots of animals we also feed the animals and the rabbits were sooo cute ❤ must a visit and the rabbit person was kind enough to open the cage for me and I even held the rabbit plus there were ducks and goose and even birds and best of all a python and fishes even and there is a adventure park area ❤

Worth visiting. Took my entire family to visit the place. Cost effective entry price and loved the concept of feeding the birds. One improvement I would suggest is the aquarium needs cleaning as the glass was very foggy.

Good place to visit in one day. You can feel natural peace here. You can find Bats, Turkey, Ducks, Fishes, Snakes, Peacocks, Rabbits, Tortoise and many other cretures here. The ticket rate is 20 INR. Don't forget to visit the bird park which is just beside of animal park. There was also a butterfly park, which is no more.

A nice place in the lap of nature. Definitely can be improved. A. A proper feeding routine can be maintained for the geese and turkeys atleast. Cleanliness can be bettered. Overall an average experience.

Well loved by children as well as adults who are interested in nature.. being a well canopied and green area I would however advise using mosquito repellent. On Sundays one can enjoy Puppet show and snake education talk in the evening.

Very unorganised place. Wastage of time and money. A cage type big structure is under construction,possibly for birds.But currently nothing to watch there. Hence I would not like to suggest you to visit here now a days.

A must-go little zoo for children under 12. Even adults will also overcome their fear of feeding ducks in the separate enclosure. Parking space is limited to best is to travel by public transport. Spend an hour there in early mornings (after 9/930am) or after 5pm when it cools down. Enjoy.

It's very good experience there the nature can really change your mind it's just beautiful ! If the species of animals extend then it is more enjoyable and also extend the play area more adventure ride or (more activities!) I have very beautiful experience of nature !

A mini jungle in midst of city! Small number of animal offerings, but enough for small excursion. This place would make you forget that you are standing in the middle of city. A little bit of effort if put in maintaining the animal gallery it would become a great place!

entry fee Rs. 20/- at Sundarvan visit at nov2018, not well maintain. Some area damaged, tree and plants died. however we back within 15 minutes. lots of peacock between center trees. only left side of entry bird area where rabit and parrot is good. kids enjoyed here.

Feeding birds directly from hand is a great experience for kids. No animals as such to look at. Play area is open and good for kids. Good greenery

It's beautiful place for children to learn and enjoy on their holidays. I've visited this place with my niece on Sunday, I would recommend to visit it on weekdays to avoid crowd.. place is really well maintained and great learning experience for child.

Sundarvan is small zoo. Entry fee rs 30/- for above 12 yrs & 20/- for below 12 yrs. There are birds, snakes, crocodile, rabbits, peacocks in the zoo. There is small play area & adventure park also in the zoo. Small parking is also in the zoo.

Nice place, worth visiting. At least an hour required to enjoy it properly. People with a few kids can spend 2-3 hours very well.

Good place to visit once but not clean and hygiene. The animals conditions are not good. Lot of water logging. Not at all maintain by team. Worse condition, animal org visit once to make sure, animals get their treatment. Kids love it.

No one is taking care of this artistic place. Everywhere you look there are too much trash. The fishes are dying because lack of cleaning in their tank. Please don't waste our natural beauty and do something about it. GOVERNMENT

U can see around the park within 30 minutes. Very small though. Maintenance is ok. In snake show they give informations about 2-3 snakes and some of their names and characteristics.Show starts at 5:30pm. Entry fee ₹30/- for 18+

My request to administrator of Sundarvan. Pl make more safe for kids. Some ropes are broken. Every animals are important part of environment, but.... Bats poop on kids play areas. It can cause a serious respiratory disease.

Good place for paying visit with infant and kid. Unmanaged though Also not particularly organised place. But hour or two. You can spend with your toddlers. They would enjoy seeing live birds turkey chicken dove rabbit etc

If you are nature lover then it is the best place for you in Ahmedabad . I loved it most because sundarvan connect with me nature . And this place is child friendly. birds and animals are there and little garden is also.
