One word to describe management here, beyond rude!! No one in their right mind should attempt to shop there while the manager is in, unless you want to be treated like a shoplifter while checking out whats in the store. Real classy of bxxxx manager at this location to have security stalk me when I was in the store recently only looking for a cd that I luckily didnt buy and it is these types that get promoted in canadas so called best city(laughter). Never coming back to this location. Wouldnt recommend it to anybody if you want a rude in your face shopping experience.

I like that they've added a loyalty program, though I think having to spend over $300 to get $5 off is not terribly rewarding. They have a pretty good soundtrack selection. I'd love more depth in the electronic and instrumental hip hop sections. The used vinyl that I've considered is usually in poor condition. Nobody is buying a 7" for $3+ if it's scratched to heck and the sleeve is deteriorating. I think it's cool that they have a local band outreach, but I don't see the music in the store.

Was just here 5 minutes ago, doors were shut, people were inside, thought it was a capacity issue. Google and Apple Maps said it was open. Waited 10+ minutes for them to look at us standing there waiting and then to just ignore us. Turns out they’re temporarily closed. Maybe put signs up saying you’re not open or just maybe don’t ignore your customers clearly standing outside ;)

i work for people with disabilities and every monday my client goes into this store the worker who works there on mondays is the most patient person. he understands my client and he is a regular customer. he treats my client like any person walking in and i appreicate that alot. my client takes time finding what he wants each monday and is super patient with him amazing store!!

Good selection of music,movies,board games and movie and music related paraphanalia. Pricing not bad. Music and movie wise it's this or Walmart which is sad if you are looking for a physical location. Walmart doesn't have the selection or expertise of Sunrise though. I miss the music stores this city used to have. Anyone remember Sam the Record Man or A & M?

We love sunrise. Great music selection on vinyl or CD. If they don't have what you want they are happy to bring in what you are looking for. They also have a good movie selection on both BluRay or DVD. I do find some of their prices to be on the higher side, but since you can't find most selections anywhere else, we end up going there regardless.

Lots of selection,records(players) even 45's ! Some band shirts and merch like that. DVDs and such wicked deals and selections. Buuuuttt best of all is now the carry ERNIE BALL guitar strings! Trying to talk management to start stocking little things like pics ,tuners...Staff is awesome too! Highly recommend a stop in if at chinook mall

They don't follow the 'Scanner Price Accuracy Code'. I tried to buy something with a $19.99 sticker on it and it scanned for $34.99 and they didn't honour the sticker price because it "recently changed in the system". I'm upset because I was excited about the purchase but felt this was a bit shady/disappointing.

Quite poor customer service. I’ve never once been greeted when I come into the store, all the workers just stare at me. Makes shopping a bit uncomfortable. Quite a limited selection of overpriced CDs and vinyl. I’d much rather go to the southcentre location, where they actually acknowledge me as a customer.

Great store. They didn't have the CD I was looking for, so they went above and beyond, and ordered it in for me! So impressed with the staff. Customer service lives here! They also had a pretty nice variety of funny greeting cards. 100% will be back to this store in the future.

Absolutely lovely music recommendations, amazing experience, and really nice dude. Operator: 43NV1SWO5 gave me the absolute CHAD gift purchase. As an out of touch older adult; that guy can relate to the youth. He solve 3 months of looking around the city.

Other than the people getting ripped off on records (it’s not sunrise it’s really all of Canada) everything else is pretty great. Whether a CD, t shirt or funny socks I’m definitely down to keep spending $ here. The staff is pretty awesome as well

Great place to find music of all types and to find movies of all types. I found nice shoes with 2pac and headphones. The store is big and well organized. The staff is nice and friendly. They offer you discounts at the cashier. Cool place!

Store is alright, it's organized for the most part and finding things isn't hard if you know where to look. Staff is very friendly and if you can't find anything they will search up to see if someone else has it in stock

Great place to buy either some CD's, records, and Cassette tapes if you like to be retro and DVD/Blu-Rays, as well as many funko toys and many more stuff that you have got to see for yourself! I highly recommend

Sometimes I'm a bit disappointed that they don't have an obscure movie/album that I want, but other times I'm pleasantly surprised when I find that they do have an obscure movie/album that I forgot I "needed"!

They have no return policy cause i accidentally dropped my bag that had a hulk fist coffee mug and they said they couldn't return it, probably cause of COVID-19 or if they always couldn't do returns so yeah.

Way better than HMV. Sounds less like something you can contract, too. I like their plastic DVD containers. I dig their plastic CD containers. I like the floorplan. Wonderful accounts payable employee.

Great place to buy movies and records with lots of variety, the only thing I don't like is that you have to ask staff to see their 4k movies because they only have the name of the movie on display

Love the idea of having a record store back! Being old school. Tons of blurays and DVDs. Also CD's. Some band clothing etc. But the best part is now selling Ernie ball guitar and bass strings!! !

I like how the store is organized, I really loved how they had a section for local artists. They could have more staff offering assistance, besides that it has great selection and friendly staff.

Music stores were such a huge part of our lives for so many years, but few around anymore. What a great feeling to see so many young people there still connecting with real music.

Over priced vinyl and a great selection. The was only one member staff present and she literally just stood at the till and watched, didn't offer any customer service whatsoever.

Staff is nice, but I'll never really be into this style of record store. It has no character and the prices are 20 percent more than the locally owned and operated shops.

Super helpful staff who took time to search out a couple of cd's for me and were very friendly, will definitely be back to this location because the staff are so great!

Guys its just like the store that it replaces, dont nitpick, it's the same nerdy merch and the same CDs. Maybe a bit less good merch, but I won't complain.

Decent prices on movies and t shirts, and records. Staff friendly and helpful. Haven't been to Chinook in a while, enjoyed my visit yesterday! ☺️

I love the variety of products available at Sunrise Records. Honestly, I am always pleasantly surprised by some of the cool and neat items here.

Good selection, but I ordered a CD about a month ago and I'm still waiting for it to come on. Knowledgeable staff, easy to find products.

Not a bad shop service was friendly, but thier vinyl LP's seem really overpriced if you shop around you can save between 5 to 10$ an LP.

Not too many items that you can find. I believe Blackpink is popular but they dont have any of their items available.

I shop here often now. They have a lot of good records of bands and groups I like at a decent price. 22.50 and up.
