I placed an order at 8:20. At 8:31 I received a call informing me that the order would be ready at 9am. Ok. They're busy. I understand that. When I arrive at 9am, I wait in queue behind two others and she says that they are making it right now and she will bring it out to my car for me. I wait in my car for 20 minutes. The gentleman who was inside before me is now outside waiting as well. He was told she would bring it outside to him, but he had to go back inside to see what the situation was. He eventually leaves with his food. So, I wait another 15 minutes after he leaves and no one comes out, so I call inside at 9:46. No one answers the phone. I wait another 5 minutes and I decide to go back into the restaurant. The wait staff address no one, and scoot back and forth, packing orders and picking up receipts. There seems to be no delegation of duties or system to them. The kitchen staff is working extremely hard. By 10am I am finally given my order. When I arrive home we are missing an English muffin and two pancakes. Our eggs have also taken on the imprint of the checkered wrapping, with squares of red dye deeply leeched into the food. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time this has happened here. They need to get their act together and find a system. Poor organization and management.

This was my first time at this location. I really enjoyed my breakfast which was the French connection with bacon. Food was great. Service was very poor. Short blonde haired waitress basically ignored our table the entire time. We waited 20 minutes for coffee. Not impressed. While we dined the staff were having a full blown argument! One woman employee told the cook to stop "whining like a woman" . How offensive and unprofessional. Hopefully the staff can get it together and hopefully the blonde waitress is fired because she is a terrible server. If they can do this, they wouldn't get any complaints from me because YUM.

Waited 10 minutes after seated before anyone came to us at all Then we finally ordered it took almost 25 minutes…20 min for sure We asked for our food and they said because we ordered steak all our meals will take longer lol. Steak was ordered medium rare with steak and eggs breakfast Came out well done and dry We then asked to return and give us bacon instead and they did so…and still charged us for the steak and eggs We said we do not want to pay for steak and it was such a terrible attitude by the server surprisingly. Terrible service Cold attitude Such a shame. Won’t be coming back.

Have been coming here for a while and usually no problems but last time I went I ordered and got my food and was missing my sausage and only got bacon but it was a while before the waitress came back so I ate some of my food and when she came I asked and she said no problem so she took my plate and gave it to the cook and he took the bacon on my plate off with his hands and put it in a bin because I guess I had too much then I watched him take it and put it on a new customers plate. Absolutely disgusting in my opinion and unsanitary.

Terrific location. Visited from Hamilton after too many disappointing experiences at the Barton and Eastgate locations and do not regret it. Ordered baaaaasically every sandwich available with some very specific requests and these folks nailed it. Brioche buns instead of... toast. Nice fluffy eggs give the sandwiches real body. The BLT contained more B, L, and, T than any other time I've ordered it elsewhere. De. Lic. Ous. Thanks Ancaster Sunset Grill, and Terri (sorry if that's misspelled) for humouring me. You rule!

Their 'limited time' blueberry cheesecake french toast was extremely disappointing! It looked nothing like the picture. The blueberry preserve was thin with a few scant blueberries in it. There were no fresh blueberries. There were no blueberries on top of the french toast or on top of the whip cream. There was a tiny bit of cream cheese somewhere inside; certainly none oozing out the sides like the photo. I expected much better for $14!!! Don't bother ordering it.

Service was good. Eggs Benedict was good. The home fries were grey and boiled. For a $20 meal I’d hoped for better. Also, management needs to bring in a cleaning company to dust. If you look up, fans are blowing and just covered in thick dust as well as the light fixtures. They haven’t been cleaned in a long time, if ever. Not too appetizing.

I've been to a couple of Sunset Grills in southern Ontario. Tried the Ancaster location for the first time Good Friday morning. Surprisingly not too busy. Our waitress, Mary was great. Perfect, really. I did sausage/eggs home fries and toast. It was 3 eggs and 4 sausage with Texas toast. Everything was perfect. Wife got a Toasted western w/cheese and home fries. One of the best ever. Prices are extremely reasonable. Washrooms were clean and pleasant. Highly recommended!

I ordered French connection with turkey bacon as a takeout order - I have to say I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the food. I make better food then what I got and would use much higher quality ingredients. I have to say I wasn’t very impressed especially that the price point and the quality of the food do not match. I paid $20 for my meal and I fed most of it to my dog. I should have taken a picture since a picture is worth a thousand words.

Been here a bunch of times now, have no complaints, food is amazing. Take out is quick. My recent experience I choose the Omelete, it was bigger than my stomach lol. Was delicious, staff and there service was great. Recommend anyone who wants a great meal to try this. You won't be disappointed

We went there last weekend and they messed up our entire order... asked for the western omelet sandwich and was given an omelet with just cheese..... no peppers or onion whatsoever. My partner ordered the peameal bacon sandwich and almost half an hour later was brought a plate with 3 pieces of peameal on it. Then the waitress came back and asked if she could use the now cold peameal to make the sandwich. The only good thing was the coffee.

I came in for breakfast today and it was the best breakfast experience I have ever had. The food was delicious and the wait staff was amazing. Abby was my waitress and she did a phenomenal job always checking in, super kind, super friendly and very good with conversation. Hands down the best waitress I have ever had. I will definitely continue to bring me along with my family here thank you so much Abby and Sunset Grill!

First time at a Sunset Grill franchise and I was so delighted! The atmosphere was cheery and the staff were very delightful and super sunny! They food was incredible and fresh. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the potatoes were seasoned and cooked to a mouth watering delight. The pancakes were also a perfect blend of fluffy and dense. There was so much food I couldn’t even eat it all!

Arguably one of the busiest days of the year (mothers day) I was seated immediately in the last available place. Promptly given coffee and menu with relaxed and very efficient and friendly staff. You couldn’t tell they were swamped the place ran like a well oiled machine. Hats off to the staff and management. Oh ya and the food was delicious!!! 5 stars well earned.

Quiet visit. Service was great. Crispy bacon and potatoes are pretty good.

Waited over an hour for food, water was never refilled. Probably the worst breakfast experience I’ve ever had, so I went and got a burrito bowl across the plaza because by the time my food came it was lunch. I walked out of the restaurant. The Blonde waitress was awful, and a terrible communicator. I would recommend BarBurrito across the plaza, delicious.

Food was great and appreciate you can substitute for potatoes or toast with veggie. Servings were large. The only improvement can be made in service. Very attentive until we ordered (which we felt was rushed) and then not so much! We also had to wait a while for our bill.

Great food and great service at this location. The server was excellent and very attentive. My wife and I brought our son and 3yr old granddaughter with us. The food was very good and plentiful. The bacon was a generous amount and a great bonus. The coffee was very good even if the cups were small. Bottomless cups so the small size mugs were okay.

Stellar! We were seated in under a minute and had our drink request taken right away. After we ordered our food, it took exactly 8 minutes until it arrived. Everything was just perfect and I am fussy about food. I wish to be able to cook an egg as well as they do some day. The place was very clean throughout and our waitress was great

we went for a breakfast in Ancaster branch.. the waitresses were nice and no problem.. but the coffee is terrible the small jam packages are the worst kind of jam ever ..the omlet i had was okish but there was not much of veggetable in it. and not tasty at all but the rest like ambiance was nice. compare to Cora this is low.

Always a very enjoyable experience. Friendly staff, great food fast service at a reasonable price. I highly recommend

This Sunday, we arrived and waited 40 minutes for a table. Others were seated before us. Yes, we were 5, but they were so badly organized. We could have been seated earlier. When we were finally seated, we waited 20 minutes, and we still hadn't been given something to drink.

Forgot our 3 year olds meal. Had to ask 3 times to find out they forgot it. Finally came when rest of table was almost done eating. (Luckily 3 year old was in patient mood!) Still charged full price. Food we got was good. Maybe it's because they're still new.

Went in this morning for my breakfast, and I found a hair in my meal! I’m very disgusted with this service, and the cleanliness lately. Please check your cooks for hairnets!

Cook does not seem to know that eggs over medium means solid whites and partially cooked yolk, not runny whites. Also, Home fries were mostly small over cooked pieces. They did not meet even bare minimum standards. Likely our last visit.

It's part of a chain but this location is the best in Hamilton. Been coming here many times for breakfast on weekends. Food and services are always good. Give a good competition for the other breakfast restaurant nearby.

Food is great and service is good. Be careful on drink orders and side dishes as it turned out to be 60% of our bill. The bacon option is a must and expect to spend $60 on breakfast for a family of 4 including tip.

I had the eggs florentine and loved it - hot and fresh and cooked to perfection. I also appreciated them frequenting our table with fresh coffee. It’s a friendly and warm atmosphere. Will definitely go again :)
