Uno dei peggiori supermercati d'Italia in quanto a servizio. Oggi, domenica 28/01/18, ore 11.22 arrivo al banco della gastronomia per acquistare dei prodotti, non ci sono addetti al banco. Dopo 5/6 min di attesa chiedo informazioni al ragazzo con gli occhiali in cassa, il quale mi dice di aspettare due minuti che era uscito un attimo l'addetto al banco (assurdo, domenica mattina, supermercato pieno e l'addetto al banco esce?! Mah), dopo circa 15 min di attesa, senza che nessuno si fosse presentato al banco, decido di andare via senza acquistare nulla. Passo alle casse e c'erano 4 addetti che tranquillamente intrattenevano la conversazione mattutina domenicale. Sembra che ti facciano un piacere, attivitá del genere meritano di chiudere. Abito in zona e non mi vedrete mai piú, a costo di morire di fame. :)

Pro: the hour, a good number of selections for products and basic grocery needs. Cons: The price and customers profiling. Our family arrived in Rome really late at night and decided to go to this store to grab a few supplies for our stay. I'm assuming that because we don't look like the typical Italian and also have our backpacks on that trigger the security guard to follow us everywhere inside the store. It was a little off-putting and kinda awkward. We ended up purchasing the most out of everyone who was there, and the staff eventually let down his guard (or feeling guilty), offering us a free grocery bag at the checkout. Either way, we did not return and later found that Tigre and Pam local was so much cheaper and also more welcoming towards guests, who aren't Italian.

L'attrattiva più rilevante del Carrefour di via Ss. Quattro è il personale. Anche se continuamente cambiato, è in grado di relazionarsi con la clientela, come in un negozio di quartiere, facendo superare lo stato fatiscente dei pavimenti, che rendono difficile passare con i carrelli. Ho visto Fabrizio, uno dei dipendenti più attivi e che conosce anche le abitudini dei noi clienti, in ginocchio per terra, a cercare di fissare le fatiscenti liste di plastica che coprono il pavimento, per poi occuparsi di tutti i compiti del suo lavoro. Spesso la qualità del personale è quella che ci porta a continuare a servirci di quell'esercizio commerciale, così come nei bar e nei ristoranti.

E' un supermercato che frequento regolarmente, dal momento che è molto vicino a casa mia. I prezzi sono leggermente più alti, ma credo dipenda dal fatto che sia aperto 24h su 24. E' di media grandezza ed ha una ricca varietà di prodotti. C'è la possibilità di una breve sosta per consumare eventuali prodotti acquistati, usufruendo anche di un microonde. Il personale è gentile e paziente. Una nota negativa riguarda alcuni prodotti del banco alimentari: in più di una occasione ho acquistato verdura (cicoria), cotolette e polpette che ho dovuto buttare lo stesso giorno in cui li avevo acqistati. L'augurio è che si sia trattato di "qualche eccezione".......

Nonostante si tratti di un supermercato orientato ad una clientela composta prevalentemente da turisti, e si tratti comunque di un EXPRESS, alla fine ci trovi un pò tutto quello che ti serve, tutto ciò che un supermercato deve avere per rispondere alle esigenze di base. Lo svantaggio dei prezzi non proprio economici è compensato dai ragazzi dello staff che, nonostante l'enorme carico di lavoro (a proposito, direttore, ma mettere qualche unità in più?) sono sempre gentili e disponibili, cercano di soddisfare ogni richiesta e rispondono ad ogni domanda, e sempre col sorriso, mai scocciati. Bravi! Sono una cliente abituale e lo apprezzo molto.

Assolutamente consigliato! Supermercato arredato in maniera moderna e posto praticamente quasi di fronte al Colosseo. Mi servo spesso presso la struttura e posso confermare che il luogo è ben curato ed il personale gentile. I ragazzi della gastronomia sono sempre gli stessi e questo mi ispira fiducia soprattutto quando chiedo consigli sulla scelta dei prodotti. Inoltre, disponibile gel disinfettante all'ingresso e personale sempre attento all'igiene. Il locale è spesso frequentato anche da turisti provenienti da tutto il mondo che però, al momento, sono davvero pochi a causa della pandemia!

I visited the store last night with my baby and my best friend. There was a senior gentleman who worked at the store that stood by the front entrance. He didn't greet us at all. He gave us the worst shopping experience. He kept following us from each end of aisle watching our every move. I went to the store to buy baby products and some drinks. I felt that he thought two females together with NO purses/bags and baby would steal from the store. Or the worst thought that came to mind was discrimination to our Asian race. I'm not surprise after reading other experiences from other shoppers.

I can put up with a lot on vacation: high prices, lack of choice, long lines, broken eggs in a sealed plastic box, rude staff..., but when you shortchange me once you know I'm American and have a little trouble with the coins, all bets are off. He didn't get away with it. And for the next five weeks that I was there, he didn't get another dime out of this American. Go to the Tuodi food store, 2 blocks away. I lived in south america for almost 3 years and learned to always count my change. It's curious how whenever these clerks make change "errors" it's always in THEIR favor.

This is the closest supermarket to my home, so I shop here as a matter of convenience. It is really a mini market, fairly small in size and inventory. It's a bit pricy and often crowded. But with its location next to the Colosseum and with so many hotels around, it is an easy place for visitors to stock up on water and snacks. You can even get fresh squeezed orange juice, prepared foods, fresh breads, cheeses and sandwich meats from the deli counter for those looking for a picnic lunch or an easy dinner back in the hotel room.

Good selection. Can get a bit hectic when it gets crowded. We shopped everyday while staying a few blocks away. Bought all of our dinner supplies and snacks. Prices weren't bad; standard for a "convenience style" market in a fairly touristy area. (AMERICAN TRAVELER HINT: Be sure to weigh ur produce and get a sticker at the scale prior to checkout. Bring shopping bags. Knowing your numbers 1-10 in Italian and using a few phrases i.e. ciao, grazie goes a long way in any transaction.)

Super rude staff and very high prices. Additionally, they engage in racial discrimination. I was unwell in the morning, so my brother went to the store early to buy water and medicine, considering it's open 24/7. My brother was looking for something to eat for me but the rude staff told him that you didn't buy anything for 5 minutes, so get out. What’s the problem with you? And why are you racist about my brother? Because we are Asian uh? I won't be going there anymore.

This is a great little supermarket right next to the Colosseum. Being in a busy tourist area it can be hard to avoid expensive tourist trap options for lunch. However, this supermarket has a range of delicious, reasonably priced and local specialties that will allow you to quickly prepare your own picnic to enjoy in one of the nearby parks, dodging the masses of tourists and the more expensive options around.

Visitato stamattina,negozio molto affollato con pavimentazione discutibile.Nonostante questo siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti della varietà dei prodotti da scegliere.Prodotti in ortofrutta freschissimi che ti invogliano ad acquistare,dipendente pelato con la barba all`apparenza burbero che invece si è rivelato disponibile e gentilissimo.Che dire...bravi a tutti i ragazzi.Sicuramente torneremo a trovarvi

there are better similar places nearby, within 4 min. walking. in the neighborhood everybody knows this. Staff at this Carrefour, alas, are used to non-returning public, tourists especially, and therefore lack in many respects. prices are high, courtesy is an optional, great confusion at the cashier while paying (this is the most sensitive aspect).

Medium sized store. Has the grocery basics: veggies, fruits, meats, dairy, drinks, snacks, dried & canned goods, etc. Prices aren't too bad. And can't beat the hours: open 24h/day. Long lines & lots of people try to jump in line at the front. Not my favorite grocery store (for selection & prices) but it has convenient location and hours.

Arriving at the payment box where neither a greeting is directed or when they don't even look at the customer makes it all unpleasant. This attitude was decisive in my assessment.

Despite having the essentials, this place is dirty, busy and the floors are broken. The male cashier seems to hate his job. I paid with a €10 bill and he looked at me like I slapped his mom. He grumbled and tossed my change and receipt at me like I was trash. Nice guy. Next time I'll pay with card so he can grumble about that too.

We're staying in a short-term rental nearby, and this is the closest thing to a proper supermarket we have found so far. We were able to find some of the specialty products we needed (gluten-free, non-dairy, etc). The guy at the cash seemed rude, yes. But honestly, that's not abnormal in Rome. They do accept credit cards.

Molto affollato , ovviamente, ma personale gentile , simpatico e preparato, gastronomia buona , molto rifornito, prezzo nella media, per qualcosa di veloce da consumare anche sul posto, c’è a disposizione microonde per scaldare il cibo e dei piccoli tavolini all’interno per consumare un pasto veloce al fresco. Amazing prices and awesome product availability. The cashier spoke English and was kind. However, the employee who was at the meat and takeaway meals stand was rude when we asked for a product and he immediately refused to speak English saying he doesn't speak the language. Could've been so much kinder like other staff.

Do yourself a favor and don’t spend any money on cafeterías around the colosseum. This carrefour had the best croissants I have ever tried for around 1€ !! They don’t sell coffee but you can grab one to go on any espresso bar on the little streets nearby and you will have an affordable yet authentic experience!

It’s 24h, it’s a super mart… thats all I can say about it. The cashier was aloof and wasn’t listening to our request for additional bags… water stocks not refilled despite stocks clearly available at unreachable quarters… fruits were not fresh… So 1 star for it being convenient… thats it, that’s really it.

This place had an amazing amount of merchandise for a confined Urban location. The staff somehow managed to be friendly and helpful despite the constant crowds and queues at the checkout. We were able to find everything we needed for a week-long visit to Rome, and made multiple visits. Highly recommend.

Super convenient hours since I'm staying down the block for two months. Not very expensive but i didn't find the staff super friendly. An alternate choice maybe a store up the block within a short walking distance where locals shop. Though this store seemingly has better quality products and a deli.

Cheap supermarket from a brand you know from other countries. Helpful staff and although they do not talk much English you can easily communicate with them. Especially for water and other necessary things if you live close by do pay them a visit because prices in cafés and bars are extremely high.

The elderly salesman behind the counter threw a pizza at my child because we are tourists! Thanks to the tourists, the products are very expensive. Store staff, I wish you someday to be professionals in your field, and not take out your psychological problems on customers.

This store is convenient. However, be mindful of what you're being charged. The cashiers "accidentally" scan the same item twice or give you the wrong change. Most times, there is no issue, but this has happened more than once and across multiple vacations in Rome.

Small but well stocked supermarket ,with takeaway counter, in propitious location. Bought glass size bottle of vine, salami, bread, yoghurt for about Euro 4.Cashier was curt, but nor unpleasant. I was happy as I prefer honesty above frills.

This store was located a block from our Airbnb. It is relatively small but had almost everything you would find in a much larger store. Located almost directly across the street from the Colosseum.

This was the grocery store which we visited several times during our two-week stay in Rome. Plenty of options for beer/wine and dry goods. We also occasionally purchased produce.
