Terrible, Worst experience ever. First day at Rome and got treated so badly by the two man and woman cashiers. I don't usually write review especially when I am in traveling because I don't want to carry negative feelings but I have to write in order to warn foreign customers. I think I experienced racism. The man cashier seemed he disliked what he was doing (helping cashier job of my items). He was throwing and banging my items. Before trying to pay, he suddenly went outside to chat with someone else. Waited for 2 mins for him to come back and continue his job. The other woman cashier was clearly knowing I was waiting for the cashier to come and take service, but she just didn't care to help. Before me, there was a local person and he put items in bags. But for me, he didn't put items in bag and just fastly slided. I asked for a bag and the cashier man said no and just walked away with yelling in Italian words. There were clearly bags in the store and when I asked the woman cashier if I can use, she first ignored me. Then when I asked 2nd time- she said yes in a very very impolite way without even looking at me. Worst experience ever and I hate to write bad review but I was very hurt on a first day of Rome. Please keep in mind.

Well stocked store in a convenient location. The reason for this negative review is due to the service. As others have mentioned in their reviews, the female cashier is rude. She seems to hate her job and shows no effort to provide any sort of positive customer service. She scans your items and just pushes them aside and doesn't try to interact or show any positive emotions. Other reviews have mentioned that she is unfriendly towards tourists, but I did not have enough time to observe whether or not this was true. I did however notice her being generally unpleasant to everyone in line ahead of me. I suspect that she maybe treats her regular customers with more respect, but anyone else (locals or tourists) are given the same terrible service.

Persone molto lento e scortese, consiglierei di mettere le casse automatiche, dato che io come altre persone siamo state costrette ad aspettare 10/15 minuti perché non c’era nessuno in cassa, però c’era un signore che stava addobbando il supermercato con le cose di Natale, proprio davanti le casse, prima ha concluso di addobbare e dopo che ha finito, si è reso conto che c’era molta fila e allora ha deciso di iniziare a far pagare finalmente, dire che è assurdo.

Very bad contact with clients ! What a shame !!!! The Shop was supposed to close at 10 PM, but 25 min before a woman probably the manager told us with an unfriendly tone to go to pay because of the close, and the person at the cash desk, was not polite, neither hello nor thank you or goodbye. If these employees are not happy to work there, I suggest they leave their job to others motivated people who have not their chance to have a job.

Lots varieties of goods to select from without paying for the tourist prices. Most locals shop here. Tourist like me can really relax and take my time without the hustlers and worry about the price gouging. I left my passport at the cashier counter and went back 10 minutes later, they were able to return it to me without any issue. Thank you. By the way, shop for reasonably priced tea and coffee to take back to the States.

If you’re a foreigner, avoid this shop at all cost. The lady at the cashier was very rude. She was only nice to the locals. We shopped here twice because it was at a convenient distance from our accommodation. Both times, I was polite, and I don’t recall having done anything that could have offended her. I would rather spend good money somewhere else next time I visit. Definitely not worth it.

The old female cashier at this grocery has officially taken the title of the most rude cashier I have ever encountered in the world and I believe the only one who I have observed to throw the items after she scans them. If you are visiting Rome, I would recommend that you find another store to get your groceries and not support an establishment that employees such awful people.

Abbastanza rifornito. Personale gentile e disponibile. Molto comodo per gli orari: da lunedì a sabato c'è orario continuato fino alle 21,30 ( la domenica fino alle 20,00 ). È vicinissimo ai Musei Vaticani e a Piazza del Risorgimento. Ottimo il reparto panetteria e latticini. Spesso ci sono sconti sui prezzi dei prodotti. Da visitare per approfittare delle offerte quotidiane.

Very good selection of products. Due to earlier negative reviews by others we managed to avoid that poor service from that female cashier who seemed rude and showed no effort to provide any sort of positive customer service to anyone, even locals. Her cash desk queue did not move almost at all and we managed to take another line and got good effective basic friendly service.

Ottimo Carrefour Express di buona metratura pressoché davanti l'ingresso dei Musei Vaticani. Buono il reparto panetteria, dove è possibile trovare anche dei panini già pronti, tra cui la mitica pizza bianca con la mortadella, a prezzi estremamente concorrenziali! Personale gentile. Lo frequento da quando ha aperto, continuerò ad andarci e lo consiglio vivamente!

Si tratta di un buon supermercato, un po' scarso sulle verdure e la frutta ma abbastanza ricco di varietà sul resto, forse più adatto a chi non è residente e deve fare una spesa svelta, o a chi è in vacanza e deve preparsi una cena con ingredienti del posto nella propria casa vacanze, tuttavia offreuna buona gamma di prodotti tra gli alimenti confezionati

Luogo eccezionalmente pulito, ordinato e fornitissimo. Personale misto. Il cassiere è la signora alla salumeria davvero gentili. Un addetto al controllo dei prodotti, scortese e maleducato. Spero si sia trattato solo di un momento negativo per questo ma..., in ogni caso, con la clientela ci si comporta sempre bene. Nel complesso, ottimo negozio.

I just brought a salmon and rice salad for lunch. It was off. So I went back. The staff member gave me a new one, which was also expired. But I only realized after swallowing it. Literally made me feel sick. He then swapped it for a quinoa salad. And this too was very strange. I wasn't able to eat any. Very disappointed.

Carrefour supermarket Which had the lowest prices around, however choices for vegetables and fruits are limited and your better off going to the outside food market up round the corner. However for app your essentials your can't knock out. Has everything you need and saves you getting ripped off from the other minimarts

Senza infamia e senza lode. Supermercato del gruppo carrefour in via Sebastiano Veniero a pochi passi dalle mura vaticane. Posto abbastanza fornito con prodotti di marca, ha un banco del pane e degli affettati, manca quello del pesce. Prezzi un po alti ma come già detto ricordiamoci che sta a 30 metri dai musei vaticani

The staff here is super friendly, especially the younger one with the tattooed arm. Always available for a chat with information regarding the products. You can buy almost everything here, however the store is small. It's a perfect place to visit before leaving for a day trip. They offer a good range of craft beer too.

Very wide variety of products offered here. Expect to find everything you need for a home cooked meal and regular groceries needs. It is not like other carrefour express the size of a shoe box but a neighbourhood supermarket. They do have a deli section in it, fresh produces, refrigerated section and organic options.

Rude cashier.i can't believe a grocery doesn't have change for 10 Euros. She wanted exact change for 3 bananas and wouldn't take our card for such a small amount. She said you are in Europe you should have gotten coins.. well you are in s grocery store you are the cashier. ... you should have coins to give change

Sempre fila lunghissima, solo una cassa aperta e se lo fai notare alzano le spalle, essendo davanti al museo vaticano ci sono tantissimi turisti ma il personale non parla una parola d d'inglese con figuracce e addirittura i cassieri si arrabbiano perché i turisti parlano solo inglese. Incredibile .

Supermercato ben fornito vicino a Piazza San Pietro. Da tenere in considerazione se per vacanza si abita nelle vicinanze. Comodo e veloce fare la spesa. Ottima la pizza rossa e gli affettati. Una menzione particolare al ragazzo della salumeria/panetteria molto simpatico e alla mano.

Very nice place to buy a snack or two but the market itself is a true maze. It's not your regular aisle format market. Of course, they probabily have done that deliberately so that you see all the products and maybe buy a little more. Other than that had a nice experience.

They close 20 minutes before their advertised time. Agree with the other review, the cashier is extremely rude. I walked 2km to get there with ample time only to be turned away. Poor service and work ethic. Reflects poorly on Carrefour where service is usually very good.

Watch out for the products that are placed at the entrance as a promotion. Some of them are discounted only with and Italian Carrefour card and some of them are already at a discount but at the cash registry all of them are at fill price. Happened twice.

Relatively well stocked for the size. The man at the deli was very nice. However, the lady at the cashier is rude, do not acknowledge hellos or thank yous (but would respond to Italian clients). Literally was eating snacks as she was serving me.

American? Don't spend your money here. The woman at checkout was very rude to my wife and kids, actually threw our items and my card. Friendly to locals, rude to us. Never again. I'll try another grocery, there are at least two others nearby.

Terrible store. Inconsistency of price tags, in the check everything will be more expensive than it was stated. The only seller sits and blows her nose on your products, while no antiseptic was found next to her. Terrible. Avoid this place

Vista la ricorrente scortesia e lentezza in questo punto vendita, perché non installate delle casse automatiche o assumete personale più giovane e dinamico. Così si eviterebbe di far formare sempre file di 40 minuti con un’unica cassa…

Il mio supermercato di quartiere: molto ben fornito, tante offerte, ottima frutta e ottimo bancone del fresco. Il personale è molto gentile e sempre disponibile. Attenzione ai sabati e alle domeniche, c'è sempre un sacco di gente!

Ambiente tenuto in ordine,pulito e gradevole. Personale gentile e simpatico. Purtroppo ho riscontrato che certe volte,nonostante la presenza di fila alle casse,ne tengono aperta solo una. Nell'insieme lo consiglio.

Ottimo supermercato, ben fornito, pulito e con un'enorme varietà di prodotti. Anche la qualità di questi ultimi è molto buona. Lo stesso vale anche per i prezzi. Consigliato.

It is OK to shop, but the staff is rude and hostile to tourists. English is useless here... pay by card to mitigate the hostility.
