"I was an Asian tourist and I got beat up by another customer on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, which I suppose is a regular there because I saw him talk to the drag queen working that night, Shania Pain"
"Well - where do i start with this - as a Gay and out male I attempted to enter this venue tonight with my MALE partner - two members of door staff have refused me entry tonight because basically I look to straight (imagine if a straight venue refused a gay person because they did not look straight enough!)"
"Horrible place with abusive staff- for a gay bar you'd think that this club would be welcoming- couldn't be more wrong!!! went here for the first time last night, after 15 minutes of being in the club and sitting down with a drink me and three friends were accused of laughing at a woman's weight- we had done nothing but mind our own business"
"I left the club at 2:45am this morning and upon ascending the stairs to the exit door, I found one of the security staff stood in the doorway, blocking my way"
"I would rate this a zero if I could had an horrific experience here and will not be coming back I was dancing with my friend and while I was dancing and trying to have fun a get approached by a woman being verbally aggressive to me and shouting in my face so I leave this woman then tried to attack me and my friend for absolutely no reason which resulted in us calling the police for our own safety just to turn out that this woman was a manger at this bar by the name Kerry, where the bouncers had to stop her from attacking me and my friend, I SAY STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, and for your own safety as this woman was cleary out of her mind on drugs and in the work place aswell and out of All the bars I would have expected to feel safe here I just every one Encourage STAY AWAY"
I was an Asian tourist and I got beat up by another customer on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, which I suppose is a regular there because I saw him talk to the drag queen working that night, Shania Pain. The dude who beat me up purposely elbowed me and immediately apologized and said he was just dancing. I absolutely know the feeling of getting elbowed accidentally while people are dancing in a club, so I said it’s okay but I just don’t want to talk. But he kept going for minutes to provoke me. He went over to the drag queen to tell her and it was so obvious because she was looking at me weird. I went outside to smoke a cigarette with my friend and the guy also went out to “say goodbye” in a passive-aggressive way. He then wrapped his arm around my neck and proceeded to punch me on the right side of my head three times. The bouncers didn’t do anything even when they saw it. The guests, obviously all white (in case you don’t know that diversity almost never exists in gay bars in Liverpool), also didn’t do anything. We called the police and they also didn’t do anything. I tried calling the bar several times while I was in Liverpool and no response, so here I am writing a Google review. This guy caused trauma and permanent optic nerve damage so I will wait for management to do something about that - talk to the drag queen about it and she will know exactly who it was. Please contact me ASAP as I am pressing charges.
Well - where do i start with this - as a Gay and out male I attempted to enter this venue tonight with my MALE partner - two members of door staff have refused me entry tonight because basically I look to straight (imagine if a straight venue refused a gay person because they did not look straight enough!). So, as a licensee I always chosen this venue to take my 26 staff for our 4 staff night outs each year, ( one of them in that really cold and quiet January just after xmas) this has never been an issue when I have 26 people with me! First time myself and my same sex partner want to come into the venue we are refused by a very opinionated member of the door staff, even when I offered to show my License and asked to see the manager - he was simply not interested. So - as a gay man I am disgusted in the way this venue operates. I am proud of my sexuality and the way i dress and act and if this venue chooses to adopt this attitude then I will not be using it again! Please Superstar Boudoir - be more aware of how your staff are treating the LGBTQ community - and your fellow licensees within our industry!
Horrible place with abusive staff- for a gay bar you'd think that this club would be welcoming- couldn't be more wrong!!! went here for the first time last night, after 15 minutes of being in the club and sitting down with a drink me and three friends were accused of laughing at a woman's weight- we had done nothing but mind our own business. Next we thing two bouncers appeared shouting abuse, swearing and accusing us of being bullies- they dragged our table away and told us to get out and we were barred! I've never heard so much abuse from two grown men. Vile behaviour towards three 18 year old girls, it was completely intimidating and appears to be a regular thing for the staff after hearing other stories. How disappointing. Would never go back and would advise anyone who is planning to go to be careful of where you look! Personally I think it was an attack because we were dressed up and didn't fit in very well with the other customers- how ironic.
I left the club at 2:45am this morning and upon ascending the stairs to the exit door, I found one of the security staff stood in the doorway, blocking my way. I said, "Excuse me, please." He looked around and did not move. I said again, "Excuse me." He then pushed away a closed adjoining door, just enough to make me squeeze around him. He did not move or speak. He just glared at me. Not only did his behaviour appear to be intended as intimating and bullying, it was rude. Earlier in the evening, I witnessed a woman being dragged to the floor by her neck in a very unpleasant incident. I went to the bar staff and offered myself as a witness if so needed, as I had witnessed the whole thing. The barman waved me away with his hand and walked off - without acknowledging me. Despite a serious assault happening, the police were not called, as far as I saw. I found the atmosphere most unpleasant, unfriendly and aggressive.
I would rate this a zero if I could had an horrific experience here and will not be coming back I was dancing with my friend and while I was dancing and trying to have fun a get approached by a woman being verbally aggressive to me and shouting in my face so I leave this woman then tried to attack me and my friend for absolutely no reason which resulted in us calling the police for our own safety just to turn out that this woman was a manger at this bar by the name Kerry, where the bouncers had to stop her from attacking me and my friend, I SAY STAY AWAY FROM HERE AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, and for your own safety as this woman was cleary out of her mind on drugs and in the work place aswell and out of All the bars I would have expected to feel safe here I just every one Encourage STAY AWAY
literally, american perspective, absolute poop emoji… white shirt bartender, although cute, when i asked for a tequila shot, rather than saying “we don’t have limes” would walk away and not come back… seriously terrible. have some respect for customers. AND when you’re tipping the DJ because you’re having a good time for “High School Musical” would rather make fun of you rather than taking a £10 tip.. idk maybe i don’t get the schtick.. is making people who aren’t white guys with a abs feel bad about themselves the “cool” thing here… literally stay away… on a friday night was empty anyway, after one drink people left and had a much better time literally anywhere else.. i did when i left.
We have been coming to super for, easy 20 years, and this evening my wife got accused by the bouncers for 'slashing' someone, all because she give a homeless person a bit of change, this to me is absolutely disgusting, my wife got left outside, with no phone, they wouldn't let her even come in to tell me what they'd said. This person they accused has been coming to super for 20years. And never in her life has done anything illegal. She is the most Liberal person, like ever. We will be going further with this. Absolutely vile.
RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION! I have been to this bar many times, however last Saturday an Indian friend of mine came to the bar. He was refused entry!!!!!!! The bouncers would not give us a reason as to why. They were like 'just go somewhere else'. That was obviously racism as we were not drunk, dressed appropriately and not under age. I please you all to not go there and not support a place that does not genuinely promote love and acceptance.
It was amazing and I've got to say the ambience and beautiful people really makes one feel like a superstar . Only slight criticism would be the bar staff were very slow and half-hearted in serving clientele promptly. Also the drag queen dj that night complained about me wearing my varifocal sunglasses - but how else is an old gezer like me supposed to feel like a superstar and see the night through
Lovely venue. Felt very welcome. Social distancing was followed. Me and my partner came into this bar as a bar devious bar we had been in was over its capacity with no social distancing adhered to and we felt uncomfortable until we came in the superstar boudoir bar. Thank you for making us welcome and great service by the staff.
The owners seriously need to check their obnoxious and intimidating door staff out to visitors to the city that are trying to go to venues recommended within the LBQT community. I shudder to think how much money this venue loses on missed spend due to the 2 Neanderthals that stand on the door!
Drag DJ ok Bar staff polite friendly and professional. Wasn't as good as Masquerade bar but far better than the Lisbon. Some of the music was good. Probably visit again.

This place does lack atmosphere and the vibe is off when you enter. It’s practically dead in the evenings in the week. It’s probably because they have the worst drinks. Why do UK gay bars have the worst drinks. Warm glasses, lime cordial
Awful place with horrible security. Myself and multiple other people called out the security for being in the girls bathrooms, asking if it was allowed. Myself (the only black person), was kicked out. Unprovoked, while i was already
The new bloke who's worked in the club behind the bar since February is so picky I mean just because I.m not buying a drink + talking to the Women being nice there's really no need for him to be so picky like he owes the place
As a gay i always suffer prejudice and fight every day against it. I feel shame when the gay comunity reproduce this straight behaviour like yesterday when i tried to visit this place and I didnt allowed entry with no reason.
They accused me of selling drugs, and why I have two cell phones. And prepare the police and they ended up being racist because I'm from Dubai im bigger than selling drugs bit** i will buy ur club if i want …
So some girl takes priority over the gay community in this club just got removed because some up her own arse girl had a problem with two supportive straight men shows no matter the bar girls get an easy trip :)
Lovely place with a cracking DJ who takes requests. Good place to go for a night out. We went on a random Monday after a staff event and it was still pretty packed. Good little spot to have a dance.
I’ve been going here for 13 years. It used to be the place to be. Over the past 5 years it has gone right down. And the decor atm looks like a gender neutral manic have had a bi polar fit in there.
The worst drinks in Liverpool - shame as the place is busier than other gay bars - Zamoyski vodka with Alert energy drinks - it’s busier than OMG, but they have real drinks that won’t kill you
Another great place to be on a Friday and Saturday night, good atmosphere and a wide variety of drinks on offer, drag queen on the DJ, a big size dance floor, always busy here.
Night out with friends both gay and straight. Rude bar staff even ruder DJ. Gave one star as the manager helped in looking for my bag that I had got stolen whilst in there.
Not been for years and was man handled by door staff because bar staff lied won’t be going again

Bouncers came in at 2:15am telling us to leave no last orders and bouncers like they would kill you and walked past is 2 35 am when it was meant to be open till 4am.
I was rejected initially I was in shorts. I caame back with my jeans and said they won't let me in because I was alone, and maybe because I am Asian.
Lost it's shine a few years ago. Toilets are next level disgusting. No money has been spent in it for too long. Just drug central now.
The place allows predators to touch people up and get away with it, keeping them in the club whilst kicking retaliators out.
My favourite bar in Liverpool. friendly staff and good selection of drinks. It’s also feels very safe and welcoming being.
Horrible bouncers, after retaliating after being groped was thrown out whilst said groper was allowed to stay in.
Good club offering good music and dancing. Friendly bar staff and good DJ. Good atmosphere amongst customers.
Partner lost her earing got it back next day thankyou.. good vibe and music enjoyed our night thankyou
Music 8/10 Value for money 10/10 Friendly 10/10 Type: perfect for dancing Service: friendly 10/10
Beware the bouncers are over eager to instigate violence. Not a safe place, do not recommend.
Great venue. Drag act / DJs are always a laugh, bar staff are prompt with their service
Value yet fabulous. Extremely welcoming venue with lovely staff and a great aesthetic.
Bouncers allow for gropers to roam free whilst targeting victims, do not go.
Great music, cheap drinks, good welcoming vibes, funny drag queens.
Terrible "dj" avoid like the plague.
Didn’t get what I asked for.
