There's 3 carparks to Chevrin Forest. We chose this one as it has spectacular views. Was a lovely forest walk with lots to see along the way, den, fairy tree, big rocks to climb and the views. A steep 200 step stairs which we climbed but you can take the easier way if you want. Can be very muddy in winter and slippery so take care. Enjoyed it with crisp winds across our faces and lots of help available from friendly locals as you can easily get lost.

Great views, places to sit and watch, great for dogs, the route in on one side has a very steep uphill, that's from Otley side, can be difficult in a small car, if you go from the airport side there's no big uphill to contend with. Great view of the whole of Otley and also the airport on the other side with planes flying over.

Great place to park for a walk at Otley Chevin. Plenty of space and parking is free. We've previously walked a few times through the Chevin and it's a great place. Today we visited the giant cross before it disappears for another year. I thought we'd get a decent view...maybe a sunset. Instead we got mist and rain!

Avoid weekends & bank holidays when it gets very busy. Ice cream van is welcome on warm days after a long walk. Best on a warm summer’s evening watching the sunset on the hills. Good place to see the stars too as the light pollution is better here than elsewhere.

Great place to enjoy watching planes taking off and landing at Leeds Bradford International Airport, going for a walk in the country with amazing views, walking your dog, mountain biking etc. The car park is free but easily fills up in the summer months.

Check car park, not a lot you can say about a car park, however this one is quite dangerous there is only ,1 exit and entrance you need to look to right on leaving there is a sharp right hand corner to your right take care.

Walk from birdcage walk to the top 50 times for an "everesting event"! Views over Otley are spectacular in one direction and airport runway in the other to watch the planes land. We come here everytime we are in the area.

We found Chevin Forest Park at the Surprise View car park and we went from there. Wow, it was really a Surprise View. You really needed to see it. I used some photos to give you some examples only. Enjoy!

A nice car park. But I have no idea why it's called Surprise View car park. Apart from an ice cream van there is nothing surprising about a tarmac concourse with car spaces marked out with white paint.

Free. Well worth a visit for great views of Wharfedale and beyond. You can see the dales up towards Pateley Bridge /Menwith Hill etc. On clear days you can see the North Yorkshire Moors.

Cracking views, pub across road, planes go right over top, u can overnight in motorhome as there is no signs, good walks, don't forget to leave just y foot print, …

Can somebody move it out of the flight restriction zone please? Lovely area, I didn't hang around because I was out taking drone footage and you can't here.

Nothing quite like this place to remind you of how small you are, and your "problems" are even smaller. Visit regardless of the weather!
