"We had come in very happy and laughing and ready to spend money to get some nice tasting soju, although we don't know much about soju, so we asked the older fellow working there which flavors he would recommend, he bluntly said" if you ask me anymore questions I won't be selling you anything""
"The bottle shop is connected to a convenience store"
"Just asked what the best flavours for soju are as we ordered some Korean chicken and wanted to try something nice with it at the hotel"
"Very limited selection, nothing has any price labelling, extremely tiny shop, the Asian lady providing terrible customer service"
"Terrible service - Very unwelcoming & underwhelming, to say the least"
We had come in very happy and laughing and ready to spend money to get some nice tasting soju, although we don't know much about soju, so we asked the older fellow working there which flavors he would recommend, he bluntly said" if you ask me anymore questions I won't be selling you anything"... We both went silent, becasue we could tell he was in a bad bad mood. I get it, life sucks sometimes, but we were super happy and chirpy, and his demeanor put a real bad taste in our mouth! We bought the alcohol, we thanked him. And then briskly reminded of how we just asked an option on his product, you didn't have to be a complete a-hole. If he is the sole employee, wouldn't recommend going in here. Bad vibes, his sole business is to help customers find their drink they will love and to have a good time. This was real left hand. I hope you have a better day tomorrow and shake off whatever was happenning. Peace. But yeah.. Wouldn't recommend if you're into socializing and pure human decency.
The bottle shop is connected to a convenience store. The lady who runs this store was so lovely, friendly and cheerful. My friend had left her phone charger at home, and wasn’t going the five hours back to collect it. The charger was very reasonably priced which was a nice surprise. Even better surprise was that the lady was even so kind as to gift her with a chocolate bar, and who doesn’t like chocolate ? This was such a nice gesture to my friend after her 5hr drive. Highly recommend. Support local. Thank you again for your kindness.
Just asked what the best flavours for soju are as we ordered some Korean chicken and wanted to try something nice with it at the hotel. Got told we are already drunk and asking a question like that is like asking what the best colour is and if we ask any more questions we won't be served. Lady in the convenience store seemed lovely but the old bloke in the bottle shop could use a slice of polite customer service.
Very limited selection, nothing has any price labelling, extremely tiny shop, the Asian lady providing terrible customer service. I bought 12 years Glenfiddich 700ml for $99. Which we can buy anywhere else for max $65-$70. Never going back. got ripped off their because of heavy rain otherwise I am more then happy to walk 10min more to the next shop.
Terrible service - Very unwelcoming & underwhelming, to say the least. Extremely overpriced, despite the previously mentioned 'terrible service'. No prices displayed which I also find strange. Overall - Do not recommend I do recommend, however; taking an uber to a local & reasonable bottle shop. …
Bought a bottle which the lady said was 36$ and also clearly labelled at 36$. Paid by Visa card. Checked bank account 3 days later and they had charged 42$! Already very expensive, as the bottle would have cost half the amount in other stores, followed by stealing /extra charges onto account
The shop is alright. It is open till late night. Therefore its is really helpful if you are staying in the CBD and want to find liquor at night. Although liqure is really expensive compared to the normal bottle shops and there is less space inside. Other than that's it is a good shop.
Extremely poor customer service, man behind counter needs to find a new job or stop treating customers with such disrespect Nothing is priced and it is overly expensive, make sure to ask the price or he will overcharge Recommend going somewhere else honestly
Amazing family business! Beautiful service with a smile!! Very friendly!! If you are staying at the Hyatt and need anything they will do all they can to help you!!! Highly recommend this store and the adjoining store run by the same family!!
Bought a bottle of Prosecco, price on the shelf was $19.99 but card was charged $23.32! Clearly a $3.33 fee for using Visa. I’ve reported them to the ACCC for charging more than 1.5%.
Ridiculously overpriced, and he wouldn't let me grab just one can I had to have a whole pack (never been to a bottle shop where you weren't allowed to)... avoid!
Only if you’re desperate. Wine is at least 2x what you’d pay anywhere else. Bottle I know retails at liquorland for $15 was $45. Yikes
Limited selection, terrible service and it goes without saying, everything is way overpriced! Definitely avoid at all cost
A relatively small and cute cellar bottle shop!! I found the receptionist was kind and patient with me!
Brought a 2x 6 pack of Smirnoff for $80 no prices or anything displayed asked for a refund and refused
Incredibly expensive and very poor customer service. Many better options only a short walk away.
Not very good very small and expensive 45 bucks for a 6 pack of beers and a 4pack of cruises
It's a bottle O. Prices are very competitive for the CBD. Staff are always friendly.
Refused to sell at advertised price. To be fair the price was already terrible.
Very rude lady. Don’t have any manner to speak with customer.
Everything has huge mark-ups. You'd have to be desperate.
Of you want to pay restaurant prices for wine go here!
Great place to get hold of some booze late at night
