"Extremely low efficiency most of the time"

"Went there week before Christmas it was so busy I thought I would be ages in there but the queue was quickly seen and when I got to the counter the lady was lovely this is not my usual post office but the couple of times I’ve been there I’ve always had good service"
Unfortunately an understaffed Post Office location with long lines, slow service and no sense of customer service. While there are self-serve machines these are not consistently operational. This Post Office branch is a franchised location, meaning responsibility does not fall on the larger Post Office Limited organization comprised of 13,000 employees, but the family running this location. In two ocassions items posted through this location have gone missing and not been delivered. While the owners of this location are not ultimately responsible for the delivery itself there should be a degree of customer care and advice. Unfortunately care and advice is not something that is delivered in this location. The issues in this branch are emblematic of the Post Office move to franchise locations starting in 2016. Nothing wrong with branches being run by budding entrepreneurs. The issue is with the lack of training provided in the areas of customer service, staffing levels and efficiency. The owners of this specific branch knowing it is a high volume, high traffic location, need to do much better for the local community that keeps them in business.
Can be quite busy sometimes but they always try their best to be efficient, for example by trying to separate those from the queue that can be helped on the machine rather than counter. I found everyone here always friendly, helpful, patient. Also appreciate the variety of services they offer, beyond just postage (ID verification, banking etc). Ps: they tend to close by 4.55pm so don't leave it to the last minute.
Extremely low efficiency most of the time. Only 1 person working even when sometimes there are 2 staff (the other is basically doing nothing). Customers might need to queue for 20 minutes and it’s not even rush hour. The kiosk need staff’s verification after payment and they still make you wait for ages so what’s the point of having 2 kiosks which can make things so much quicker and easier?
Understaffing causes frustration from staff members, which leads to burn out, which leads to poor customer service. I won’t go back. P.s. I had to buy the shipping bag from one person to take it back filled to another so I could pay to ship it and the bag didn’t have space for information or anything. Silly system

Lazy employee (tall bearded) who refused an Amazon return claiming “we don’t do this here”. When showed evidence to the contrary, he claimed that “they could not bag the item, contrarily to the Amazon instructions. Shame on you Post Office!
I went to the Post office today and the women working there, her name is Mrya (I hope I am writing that right) was very helpful and friendly. She helped me with everything and always had a smile on her face. Thank you!
This post office is always so understaffed. Take over 45mins to be served. I feel so sorry for the staff as they get so much abuse. The managers need to change their strategy to solve this dilemma.
Big thank you to the friendly and helpful guy in the blue shirt (sorry i didn't get your name!) for taking the time to explain postage stamp weight issues for my small business - much appreciated!
The staff turned up 50 minutes late, didn't apologise for being late, then told me I can't charge my electricity key as the machine isn't working. The level of ignorance is astounding.
