This was the trip that made our holiday in Sydney. We spent five days there and had seen most of the usual sights, blue mountains, opera house, cruise harbour etc. But this trip showed us the real Sydney and beyond. Firstly our guide Matt was a thorough gentleman but he is so professional. He is a wonderful peoples person. He made us so comfortable and took us to places we never dreamt of. He knew all of the bird calls and so we got to see so many different types. Because he knew we loved the ocean he took us swimming on Avoca beach where we had such fun with the surf. We had a visit to a kangaroo sanctuary that made Jurassic Park look like a Teddy bears picnic. Such fun. He made our enjoyment, safety and comfort his number one priority. He had unending knowledge and stories about each place we visited. His sense of humour was infectious and his sense of adventure even more so. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he went out of his way to meet all of our wishes. The 10 hour trip took 11 hours as he knew we hadn't booked anywhere for dinner and so weren't in a rush back, plus he had one very special extra thing to show us. I won't spoil the secret by saying what it was. I left my prescription sunglasses in his car and he texted me to tell me and drove back (1&1/2 hours) just to return them to me. If you are visiting Sydney I would strongly advise you to contact Matt and take this tour. It was incredible and very special but not half as special as Matt. He was wonderful. We had the BEST most Aussie day with Matt!! He picked us up in Cronulla and we started off the day with a bush bash where we saw aboriginal drawings. We learned about the plants and got to try some aboriginal fruit. He then took us to a wildlife sanctuary where we got to pet a koala and hang out with kangaroos, wallabies, wallaroos, and pottaroos. We then went to an awesome little surf town where we ate lunch and walked out to shark island. Incredible landscape, massive waves! We stopped at a mystery spot which was epic (I’ve never seen so many bats!!) and we ended with a little drink and some chocolate at another beautiful spot and looked for crabs and octopus. Matt was the best tour guide and just amazing company. He taught us so much about the wildlife, culture, Aussie slang. I super super highly recommend spending at least 1 day exploring Australia with him!!

We did so much in one day! Even though our group was made up of locals, most of us had never heard been to these amazing locations. Gorgeous beaches and marine pools with sea life, breathtaking views from secret locations, cute Aussie animals that we got to pat, walks in the bush, delicious food, local wineries, Aboriginal carvings, oyster farm ….sounds impossible to do in a day but we did it all. My favorite part was getting up close and patting the animals. Although our group opted not to do it, but Matt also takes guests to a spot in the city where you can get your prized photo with the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the background. Matt is knowledgeable, fun, accommodating and cheerful. His passion for his beautiful Sydney really comes across. If you want nature and wildlife, this is the tour for you :-)

You need to book a tour with Matt!!! A fantastic full day spent away from the city!!! Matt was prompt in answering my questions and upon pick up. This was our second day in Sydney, and we wanted to venture outside of the city and explore its surroundings! Matt took us to so many places! Nature walks to learn about local fauna and animals, delicious freshly shucked oysters by the river, awesome coffee, an animal sanctuary where you can pet kangaroos and other wildlife, delicious lunch by the beach, cliff side walks, wine tasting, hike to local waterfalls, aboriginal carvings, and to end it all a great view of both the Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House! Matt’s tour is a must for any visitors to Sydney! Get out and explore with your new Australian mate, Matt!!!

What a great day we had on our tour with Matt! It was a wonderful way to see the countryside and beaches outside of Sydney, giving us a full experience of Australia in our limited time. It focused on the animals and natural beauty of the area. Matt knows his stuff and is great fun to spend the day with. He organized a variety of stops, including an animal park, a surfing beach, a winery visit, and a waterfall. And he’ll also just pull over on the spur of the moment when he sees something interesting to share! We thoroughly enjoyed our private tour with Matt, and would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a comprehensive tour with culture, countryside, and best of all, critters! The chocolate and wine are a fabulous bonus as well! This tour was really a fun memorable experience for my daughters and myself! We got to see beautiful sceneries, saw some fluffy animals, visited a location wih aboriginal carvings, had lunch in a beautiful setting in avoca beach and also met with a very kind aboriginal artist who welcomed us into his home and shared some of the history of his ancestors with us. I had THE BEST time with Matt as my guide for both The Blue Mountains and Nature and Wildlife Big Day Out tours. I enjoyed being taken to so many great places that I wouldn't have easily been able to get to myself and so many places I wouldn't even have known about!! My family had a great time with Matt exploring Sydney and other areas nearby. Everything was first class. Nice comfortable car and lead us on the tour at our a pace. We enjoyed the bush walks, getting close up with personal with lots of animals, checking out the tide pools, seeing so many bats, and all the unique spots to stop and grab some munchies/sweets. Highly recommended going with Matt as this was truly a unique and personal experience we wouldn't have gotten with a bigger tour group.

Matt is a knowledgeable and vivacious tour guide. He is familiar with all the secluded, exotic locations near Sydney. We explored some hidden lookouts, a hidden waterfall, and naturally occuring tide pools teeming with marine life. Ate lunch at a Fisherman's Wharf that has won awards, enjoyed the scenery, and sampled various fruit wines. I strongly suggest this tour to tourists and locals alike as a fascinating and entertaining way to see some of Sydney's top attractions.

Matt is a fantastic tour guide! We had such a great time. Matt brought us to such a great variety of places during our one-day tour. I had no idea we could fit in so many things and so much fun in one day! He has a varied collection of options of activities to choose from, that he is constantly adding to. Went on a private Sydney wildlife day tour with Matt and had an absolutely amazing time! From the time we got picked up at our hotel till we got dropped off the experience really felt like a dear friend showing us around! We went on a highlight tour of the nature and wildlife outside of the city and is a great complement to city center tours on other days. We got to do some great experiences with the native wildlife and some beautiful scenery! Highly recommend!

Just wrapped up over a 10-hour day with our guide Matty, and I cannot recommend highly enough! He was knowledgeable, funny, and so accommodating. He listened to what our five-person group wanted to do and came up with multiple options. When the weather changed for the worse, he adapted and kept our spirits high. By the end of the day, it felt like we were all just hanging out as one big friend group. Really excellent adventure!

In America, we have "the most interesting man in the world" created by a company called dos equis. Well, this is the Aussie most interesting man! Matt was full of stories and information. This was all on the way to a completely customized itinerary. He learned what we like and what was important to us and delivered. What a fun day with our new mate, Matt!

Matt was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable of the local area. He very clearly grew up around here and gets it. All food recommendations were great as well. He definitely does a great job catering to exactly what you are most interested in seeing. We focused on outdoor stuff (bush bashing, animals, etc) and he was very passionate about it

Matt was by far the best guide we had during our entire trip to New Zealand and Australia. He is knowledgeable but not preachy. He is funny but not snarky. He is flexible, while offering good suggestions. All in all, a charming person to spend the day with. This was our last day on the trip and we couldn't have ended on a higher note.
