I'm giving this review as an honest and genuine experience I had and only gave them 1 star as I couldn't give them less. My father employed this firm as executors of his will back in 2004. We expected a professional service like you would from any solicitor. A long story short they failed to inventory the physical items of the estate only trying to ascertain any items of worth via a antiques evaluator, so when the tenner ran off with half of the items in the property we had no recourse to get these back due to their failure, they did not considering that many items may have been of sentimental value etc. When My father died his stepdaughter was living in the property rent free which she continued to do for a further 2 years approximately to which we requested numerous times for TG Baynes to get a contract in place from her to pay rent into the estate which over the period of the probate and by the time she did a moonlight flit would've to amount to circa £24K so they also failed to get a contract in place so failed on a second major requirement of being a executor, namely secure financial assets and income of the estate. Another element, you'd expect from an executor was a swift execution of the estate and probate, this went on for 18 months in a main part in my opinion due to Kully not chasing up information from Greenwich and Bexley authorities regarding my dad's care from an office not 1/2 mile away from their office at the end of the Broadway for over 6 months until we stepped in and started chasing myself. They never once went to the office to chase which was less than a 5 minute walk. In my opinion they were quite 'toothless' when dealing with a solicitor of the trust which his second wife set up after he was put into care. There were many other elements which in my opinion were far from satisfactory, so my advice would be to look elsewhere and also check that your parents or grandparents have not signed up to this company ASAP, if so, I'd suggest that they find another alternative, but again in my opinion and experience would also avoid WMK in Sidcup like the plague
It’s hard not to go into every single thing that happened to warn you against working with Edmund Amakihe from T G Baynes, but I don’t want the length of this feedback to put you off from reading it. As a result of Edmund’s unprofessionalism, arrogance, and to be honest, intolerable nature, his client, our buyer, came very close to losing her sale. It wasn’t just us who found working him to be one of the most stressful experiences we’ve ever been through, our own solicitor, our vendors' solicitor and our estate agent all found this as difficult as we did. It felt like he did everything in his power to make this difficult and it felt like the process of our sale was purely based on trying to deal with Edmund's incompetence. There was a severe lack of any kind of communication, refusal to work together as a team with everyone else in the chain to make things happen, and the day before we were supposed to exchange we discovered the main searches had not been done, even though there was a note on file to say they had been. Edmund then refused in any way to communicate where the issue was, to accept or admit to a mistake, and refused to do anything at all to even remotely look at trying to resolve the issue. On his behalf, ourselves, our agent and even our vendors found that you could pay to instruct the searches to be done quicker, he then convinced his buyer that we should be the ones paying for this, for his mistake. When he did get in touch, never by phone, he continued to address everyone as ‘Sirs’ in all comms, despite knowing every single person he was communicating with was female - a real chauvinist. If you’re looking to work with a professional, who will work to your best interests and help take the stress out of buying, selling, or moving house, do not work with Edmund.
I made a holiday claim for food poisoning a year ago as I was sick on holiday three years ago and was led to believe the claim was simple and offered zero risk to me. I even had an email from Nadeen stating under no circumstances would I pay anything. Months later I received a letter asking me to fill in a food diary for meals I had three years ago and I ignored it, as it is somewhat comical that you think I remember what I had for each meal of the day three years ago. The new solicitor dealing with my case has now threatened me that if I do not fill it in they will claim that I owe their company £618. I will quite happily seek legal advice as well as go to the media if they write me a threatening letter again. Nadeem at the time of my claim said in an email to me that under no circumstances would I have to pay anything. For them to threaten me now and ask me to make up information that no one would remember after three years and after their firm said I would pay nothing is a story the press would love to publish and would follow up well on other stories recently published about holiday claims three years after the incident.
Louisa was a pleasure to deal with selling my late father's property. Louisa was so helpful & approachable & even when the first sale fell through she took the time to contact me & advise that the paperwork could be quickly amended for the next buyer & that we could come into the office at anytime to discuss details. So different from the dreadful service from Laurus Law in London who dealt with probate. Would encourage relatives to deal with local companies who are personable & actually care about the people they are dealing with. Thanks again Louisa for your kind assistance I
Phoned the Bexleyheath office 3 weeks ago regarding starting a personal injury claim on behalf of my child who was hit by a car whilst using a crossing. After relaying the distressing incident to them the person said they would review the case and a solicitor would call me back to let me know if they would take it on but if they couldn't take the case, I would still receive a call offering legal advice. They have not contacted me at all. Waste of time, if I could give less than one star I would.
I have used TG Baynes for many years and have been impressed with their work, they are accurate fast and dependable. I can rely on them to give me an honest opinion and act in their clients best interests. Emma Lee has been my solicitor of choice for many years and she has shown a remarkable ability to be able to get to the "bones" of the matter and get a good deal for her clients.
I recently bought my first house and used T G Baynes for solicitation. Louisa Juchau, my solicitor is extremely meticulous and professional. She ensured the case moved in a steady pace and got the process done in a very short period of time. I highly recommend her services. Thank you Louisa. A huge thanks for Codi Cullington to help me close the deal as well. Great work folks!
Mrs Pavandeep Gill of the Bexleyheath office acted for my husband and me in two seperate claims. Pavandeep was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She is very professional, courteous and communicative, and she explained everything very well; we knew we were in good hands. Excellent service for both of us. We would both highly recommend her. Thank you so much Pavandeep.
Disgusting women for medical negligence accused me of only making a complaint so I could get compensation, didn't let me finish telling her what happened and we were only on the phone for a few minutes and this was the very first phone call she didn't realise how upsetting and depressing this situation has been for me and to acusse me of that is disgusting and wrong.
I needed a couple of documents witnessed by a solicitor, so completed a few online contact forms with various solicitors to request details about costs and timelines. Most companies didn't respond at all, but TG Baynes called me back and explained the process. I made an appointment and attended their office to have the documents witnessed without any issue.
Cannot fault the service! We bought out first house and Louisa Juchau helped us, she was very thorough and helpful if we needed any advice. We actually went back to have our marriage oath signed by her!! It's lovely to be able to go back to the same place and know you'll get the same service! Definitely recommend!!
I am very pleased with the work that has been carried out by my solicitor Emma. She is always very supportive and compassionate . I would recommend this firm of Solictors to family and friends as I can’t fault the service that I have received. Thanks Emma.
i want to make will so meet one of solicitor for say 30 min but i am not satisfied with there knowledge of inheritance tax so case is close but after say 6 moth they send me invoice of £330 for what without doing any work not satisfy at all.
I was asked to email the Secretary because she was too busy to take phone calls. This was after I had repeatedly explained to her colleague why typing at the moment would be incredibly difficult for myself. Not a great first impression.
Louisa is the best! I am very please with her service , no matter i will eventually buy the property or not. I am very glad to have her act on our behalf. everything she've done is nothing less than perfection! Highly recommended !
A HUGE thank you to Pavandeep Gill. I appreciate all the work you put in and the encouragement when I got frustrated, your understanding made all the difference. You got me the result I needed to be able to put it all behind me.
Could not fault them at all, told them my case and they was happy to help, communication great, especially with Pavandeep Gill always left feeling positive after discussion the progress of my case Highly Recommend
Used TG Baynes for conveyancing when selling and buying, Kiran and her team were very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend their services
Extremely surprised to be told the fees for dealing with a probate were normally 2.5% of the gross estate. That's £25,000 for a £1m estate.
Very helpful pleasant staff at reception which is the first port of call. It made me feel confident and solved my queries. Thanks again.
Awful service from an untrustworthy solicitors that prey on the elderly and vulnerable. Under investigation by the financial ombudsman.
Louisa is very efficient and get things done, l was impressed with progress, this is the second flat Louisa is assisting me with.
