most unprofessional placed store that sells over sold over priced and defaulted clothes in the world thats based in a predominant Caucasian area in the worldddd most customers here are being ripped offff and sold fake clothing for both men and women all the clothes sold here are defaulted fake name brand and over priced was a customer here and became a worker to find out the hard way how manipulative an unprofessional the company really is into selling fake items from real brands such as polo Michael kors bags for women etc you name it they can frame it this company is great at ripping the people off try waiting on a ridiculously terribly long line that's shaped like an s but is called a q line four hours to purchase a high priced fake items from a corporate company that supposedly raises money off customers for the profit of high up up exects mangers that claim to raise the money up for autistic kids but never once donated any of it to real autistic kids off need me personally was a former client then became an employee and never once did I see any money being donated to any kids but the store trys to so politely ask customers to donate to the cause of higher up managers that share the money amongst themselves so sad to say they should raise there own money me having a son of autism find this to be very cruel unwise and unprofessional on behalf of tj maxx on the upper west side of manhattan after this review and complaints of the truth based on this company as a whole is the real reason this company chose to terminate me on behalf of letting people of all races no not to shop or waste hard earned money here at tjx located on the upper west side unlesssss you love to get ripped off workers here working have no union have any issue being profiled or with a manager here that don't like you for any reason to and faced being fired catch a slip and fall boom fired workers are taught to keep silent or be fired sad but for a company was a consumer before a tjx associate pleasssssseeeee paayy attention this store is a fraud non union or time in the half for workers that work overtime and if you stay just a half our over time and not a cashier oh wow you will have a big problem they wil get rid of you fired and this goes for managers whom think it wont happen to them in this company the cashiers mean most but don't let the line get to long and ohh ohh you will regret it for ever sold fake merchandise for high price no real customers service workers are being set against each other for the authority of no real professional pay get hurt here on the job and soorrrry your super fired was working for this company for over a yr to say all this wake up America stop getting ripped oofff for your and my hard earned bucks be cognizantttttt customers whom came in and saw me work I always asked did they need help or any thing even outside the job I am naturally like that how they perceive people to be is discriminative in all types of ways tried being followed around the store while you white or black shop real creepy and weird stay alive people with out getting ripped off for your money thanx I was a victim also at this company please remember I worked at this location for a year and a half and saw so much corruption and favoritism amongst the races here sad to say the clothes are fake check the tag on them both clothes and prices or go to macys or fifth ave and get the real deal or keep buying defaulted items and see how long thy last like I said I was a worker and a shopper take it from me personally just blow up the picture of my id plus its ashame how low of hours you get at working here some one has to speak upppp

This T.J. Maxx is a great place to find reasonably-priced items for your home. There is a large selection of suitcases, clothing for men, women and children, shoes, curtains, rugs, kitchen items, colognes, and many other things. You will be amazed at the size of this location--all of it is on the basement level, downstairs via two elevators or a long escalator. T. J. Maxx is located in the Columbus Square apartment and shopping complex between 100th Street and 96th Street on Columbus Avenue, that also contains a HomeGoods, luxury apartments, a Whole Foods, a PetCo, several fast-food restaurants, a Starbucks, a Modells and two banks: Chase Manhattan and Bank of America. I have shopped many times at this store and appreciate the lower prices for quality items. Several times I bought large suitcases here for my travels. Directly across the street from this T. J. Maxx is a HomeGoods store, which has similar items but a much larger and better selection of high-quality kitchen and household items downstairs.

I just think it's super rude not only are there extra Long drawn out messages about closing that begin an hour before close they also have employees who taunt and say things about the customer while the store is still open but they turn off the lights over the escalator now they got a lock on the door so I'm not Sure that the power and cost savings they get on this will help them will someone goes up and falls at the top breaks their leg and gets alll bloodied up but I'm damn sure it won't cover the multi million dollar lawsuit. This store has zero service has a mile long line while yelling at customers to get out and they turn off the lights before they can even process the people they had in line for over 30 minutes. Yo if you want to go home so bad then stay there and if you go to work and are mad about all the customers and want them to leave then simply HELP THEM GET OUT FASTER.... this store another garbage dump Brought to you by TJX

Poor service, watched one associate become irritated with a customer because she wanted an item that had a brighter color from the back on the shelf. This clearly irritated him as his comment "ridiculous" followed with his attitude. The girl standing in the check out line scanning prices for customers asked if she can scan something for me. When I asked her scan my towels she replied that's not on sale and I found the other item on sale because of color... um excuse you, the question was can you scan something not give me your option on the item after asking me if I needed a price on anything.

Pros: They are doing a good job in controlling the total number of customers in store. Cons: Be careful with their cashier. We bought a single jacket costing $129, and 2 small items costing totally ~$8. The cashier scanned and charged us ~$180. I questioned her, and she argued that was because of sales tax. Come on! How could the tax be so high? This is elementary school math, OK? Upon my request, she re-started the check out procedure and got to the correct total charge. So friends, be careful when you check out in TJMaxx (and probably every other store)

The selection is good but the customer service is abysmal. For example - the tag had fallen off an item I wanted to purchase. I asked for them NOT to put another hole in the garment and the girl at the register just kept saying "that's not what she's doing, that's not what she's doing" and then BAM she got a tag gun and put a hole in the garment. Didn't even try to put the tag through a seam, just stuck it right through the middle of the back of the garment. And then they got upset when I told them I didn't want it anymore! Unbelievable.

One of the best T.J. Maxx outlets I’ve been to. They got some good brands and some incredibly cheap deals. It wouldn’t be fair to compare the prices with what we get in India. I can assure you that it’s worth every penny. Love how they have almost off all the top brands in the store. One can find all that they’d need from stuff for the house to all kinds of clothing, footwear, accessories etc I was in NYC on a holiday for 10 days and there wasn’t a day that I didn’t go to the store. I was lucky enough to not pay extra for excess baggage.

This is my first ever visit to a TJ Maxx store, and I think I am at right place! I was looking for some gifts for my family and friends, and its staff is extremely nice and helpful. Ms. Paola Paulino patiently walked me through the handbag sector and gave me great advice. She even helped me clean some barely visible marks on the bag that I decided to buy. Customers surely love to come back with such a wonderful experience. Ms. Kyler at checkout was very nice too. I think I will visit store often from now on ^_^

Personally, I think their selection here is quite awesome—clothing department can be a bit overwhelming even and it’s difficult to see/look through the clothes as they are so crammed together with basically zero empty space. In my experience store associates have been pleasant and helpful. I’ve found several nice dresses and t-shirts on sale here. It’s a big store—clothing department in the basement. Just FYI don’t plan to be making calls or texting while on the lowest level—service is nonexistent.

I threw away my receipt by accident but I meant to do the satisfaction survey just to say that Latoya C went well above and beyond to help me purchase some furniture and transport it home. I also can't remember how to spell her colleague's name, but it was pronounced like Elijah and she was also incredible - waiting for a taxi with me and helping load the furniture. The customer service here has been great every time I go in, I really appreciate it! Thank you, ladies!

Since COVID started, there store has been on top of their cleanliness game. The store is always organized, always clean. Only times it may be a bit untidy is when it’s during its busiest hours which is mid-afternoon. They have great staff that greet you, hand sanitizers everywhere and amazing deals. Always have good high end stuff on discount. Save your money and buy from here instead. You won’t be disappointed.

Totally forget abt this store but it came in clutch for some last minute birthday gifts needed! Store was clean, cashier was very friendly and accommodating and we were in and out! They do need to stock up on their gift bag selection as they only had abt 10 bags left and only 2 sizes available. As long as I can remember that this store is really like 6 mins away from me (by car) I would return!

Considering it is the ladt weekend before Christmas, I was shocked at how orderly and well stocked it was. Hot everything I needed and the wait was only 5-7min check out. Only negative: they only had small paper bags for all items and charged for each bag even though it wasnt my fault they didnt have bigger bags. Was a handful to carry everything out.

It's kind of small but they have a lot in stock and it's extraordinarily organized! I usually come in here to find non clothing items (makeup, hair products, headphones, accessories, etc). The one downside is it's a basement- you can't go online and compare product pricings. Since TJ Maxx has a 30 day return policy on anything that's not a big deal.

Lied to me about the return policy. I was told on runway items you can return them if you have all tags on and the red tag is still on. I was t able to try item on in store since my toddler was getting fussy. Item didn't fit. Had red tag and all tags on, never worn. Would not let me return 10 days later. They basically said it was t their problem.

Lots of deals, perfect for a gift, they have Steve Madden clutches and scarves, makeup, socks, blankets, kitchenware, Christmas themed baking supplies, hair styling tools, clothes, pajamas, gift sets of everything, candy, The Office and Friends mugs. As usual, great place for amazing shopping. This one has a good organization inside, it is easy to find department you need. Choice is good, maybe sizes are not properly displayed. Quick and friendly service. I loved the shoes department, as it had variety of shoes types, and for every size you could find something for you.

This store is terrible there is absolutely no organization, came in here to return an item it was over $100 so they had to call a manager I waited 20 minutes and no one showed up the cashier called them on the walkie about 6 times and they still never came. Ended up going to the 18th street location. Completely radicolous!

Hurry up there's a big mark down. It's very crowded and busy today. I got me a beautiful shirt for $10.00 and I got things for my face. My daughter brought a bathing suit. It’s a very nice area to shop and be in. The selection of the clothing and products is mediocre but its TJ Maxx so there’s not really a high expectations. I was able to get some good gifts and find then there but it was most likely because I went during the holiday season when they have a lot of options.

The store is located underground with no cellular reception and no wifi. NO WIFI !!! It's 2020 and they seem think it's reasonable. Practically it means that you will need to keep going out of the store ( that it is two floors down) to check your messages or find your e-receipt. Super annoying.

Excellent choice of merchandise from clothing, toys, yoga, furniture to food. Luxury shopping and the Prices are right on the money. Please beware...This place is ADDICTIVE! The lines move quickly for checkout. The floor associates are super helpful. I love love love this store.

The item selection is pretty much hit-or-miss. Finding clothing can be a nightmare (although this does not apply to athletic wear IMO). The staff is very helpful and friendly for the most part. I recently discovered their kitchen section, they have a great selection of dishes.

Ran in here for a purse for my daughter to go to her semi-formal dance for school. Found what I thought would be great and the cashier was so complimentary and confident in the selection. Great friendly staff! The rest of the store apeared well stocked and organized.

Horrible mens department. Womans department take over almost the whole half of the store . Cant ever find anything in the mens department and if they do have anything good for men it's very limited. I go every week trying to find something because its convenient.

My dad used to work their from 2009-2012. They cut his hours down to 10 hours a week for 2 days. They paid him less and the staff was not so nice to him and couple people left. Don’t even work at that place and go somewhere else to work another retail store.

This is the best T.J. Maxx I ever stepped into. It's clean, well stocked, with tons of variety and various items. I went in for beauty items, luggage, and shoes. Found everything I was looking for. It would be 5 stars but escalator going up was not working.

The collection of women's dresses is unbelievable I wanted to buy everything getting ready for my trip to Europe found a lot of great amazing designer dresses for the lowest prices the store was very clean and organized and the sales girls was so helpful

After you wait in the long lines to purchase, you will almost always be greeted by rude cashiers who I’ve seen scream at customers on more than one occasion. Go across the street to their sister store, HomeGoods, if you want to be treated with respect.

I am addicted to these stores. I've purchased many tops/blouses, nightgowns, shoes, purses, costume jewelry, housewares, home accessories and munchies. I love what I've purchased. It's also a great place to get gifts. The staff is pleasant and helpful.

Great place for low end designer staples like Nike. A great place for shoes, bags and home ware. You can also find the best deals on kids wear and travel accessories. Fully recommend although it can get a bit chaotic! The US store of the UK TK Maxx

Really helpful workers in this location. They really care about the customer. Not all locations are like this. And the deals right now are crazy. Jeans for 10 smacks, unbelievable. Stretchy pants. Every man needs stretchy pants in their lives.

What can I say about TJMax? I love this store because I find such amazing things at decent prices. When I get in TJMax....I don't leave until I have peeked in every corner. Believe me when I say that you will never walk out empty handed.

Make all phone calls before entering!! You won't have cell service!! It's a step up TJ MAXX... lots of high end designer clothing & accessories. The store is very large, as is their selection! Very clean... courteous employees.

This place is generally great! The staff is very attentive and the management takes COVID prevention seriously. Lines can get long and there is no cellular/wifi reception, but other than that I have no complaints whatsoever

There wasn't a line to get in. The escalators were working and the store wasn't super busy. I wasn't really looking for anything but of course I ended up with a few great buys...candles, shower gel and some David's cookies.

As always,my time at T.J Maxx was fruitful. I purchased a pair of combat boots and I spiritual journal, both which I needed & love. The clerks were helpful. I'm happy to have pushed myself to travel across town to the Maxx.

Love the location and availability of clothing. Lots of things of interest as well as it's close proximity to its sister store Home Goods. Very reasonable prices. Love the fact they are open on Sunday as well.

The men's section is one of the smallest I've seen and is geared toward larger sized men. Not very ideal for someone like me. I commend their service staff for working diligently to keep the place tidy.

This place is a mess. Stuff is strewn all over the place. Somehow, even with every register manned there is a crazy long line. But the prices are great so there you have it. Be prepared to wait!

This location tends to be very well picked over but you can find some treasures if you dig. The staff are a mixed bag, some amazing and some couldn't possibly care less.

Well stocked, inventory moves rather fast. Bad cellphone signal because it is located deep underground. Ample selection of home goods in addition to clothing items.

Never know what kind of steals you can find here. It's huge, lots to pick from. I found some really good Elizabeth Arden products and stocked up on candles here!
