I don't go there too often, Maybe once and the blue, twice a year. I wanted to buy something for my friend seeing I don't really shop there for myself. Small selection of stuff, some variety, occasionally. After this shopping experience I was very triggered, all I wanted to do was pay for my items, this women was acting like she didn't want to give them to me unless I applied for credit card, even after I explained about how it wasn't a good idea l, I know my own situation shouldn't have to explain. No means No so if I say no thank you not today don't ask me why not?. I felt forced to apply or I couldn't get what I purchased because she kept the bag behind the counter. I informed her several times it probably not going to work, doesnt make sense personally for me to open line of credit to use in store I don't shop in, Have just to say I have it, after now taking -10 point dip to my credit after they did a hard inquiry, I hope it was worth it for her commission. Thank goodness theres other locations if I decide to step foot in tj maxx anytime soon I won't be back to that on forhdam plaza

The workers are rude and horrible. Not professional at all. My friend and I went in on Thursday March 15 at around 8pm and the manager who had blue colored tips on her hair was so unprofessional. She rolled her eyes when talking to us and when she called for the us to go to the register she walked away and one of her representative told her we were waiting and she said “I told them to wait” so unpleasant. The jewelry section never has an employee working there, we have to look for someone and wait. My friend called for the manager and she said she won’t be helping her and pointed at a girl that will help her. I know this store is located in the bronx but as a company there shouldn’t be a reason why employees act the way they do so unprofessionally and when I got downtown it’s so different. Not my favorite location and if I can give it no star I would have. Workers are disgusting and wouldn’t recommend anyone to walk in there.

I have visited this store several times as I am a local resident to the community. My experiences haven't been to bad with the exception of not really being assisted for a size or location of an item, and hearing personal stories really loud from floor staff. On Friday April 3rd 2015 however I was a victim of a serious crime within the store and was not only not helped, I was accused of the crime that happened to me. The floor manager DeWitt literally laughed in my face on top of being reluctant to assist in any way. She was disturbingly rude and unprofessional. The store manager was also reluctant to assist me and made it clear I was not a top priority even though I had just spent $105 in the store. I will never return there because the staff from the bottom up are disrespectful and confused as to what true customer satisfaction is.

The customer service is HORRIBLE... The restroom has a lock on it and when anyone has to use the restroom, they are being told (by a LAZY MANAGER and staff) to "stand by the door until someone comes out".... So, if someone is not in the restroom to come out, then what (which is exactly what happened)? The MANAGER and staff (with the exception of the Cashiers who understandably couldn't open the restroom door for the customers), left the customers standing at the restroom door, instead of just opening the door for the customers. The MANAGER was about ten feet away from the door and she still told customers to wait for someone to come out, instead of just opening the door...WOW...and again NO One was in the restroom... finally a staff member was asked AGAIN to open the door and with an ATTITUDE she did...WOW!

Great selection of items and a courteous staff. I frequently shop at that location to get housewares, apparel, and shoes. The bath products section has some gems if you spend the time to dig deep. Also, this location tends to have shorter lines, and more coordination than the other TJ Maxxes in the vicinity. The only cons are the size of the store due to space size - which is quite small, and the overcrowding of items on the shelves. Due to the small space, I find that items are thrown together instead of being organized. Although there are a few cons, the store is great to pick up products and gifts!

They trick innocent people who dont understand the language into opening credit card rewards program, people are still used to using rewards or membership with points NOT credit and they will misunderstand credit is not the same as free points from buying store items, however its not the fault of the employees they are told the more people they can convince into their program the more money and benefits they have as employees, this fault lies within the system of well known companies profiting off innocent people

I was there yesterday and I was trying to buy watches and jewelry and I havd more than 25 minutes waiting for the girl to help me so I went to the manager and I said can you help me please . The manager said no you have to wait for her she was very rude didn’t help me and I feel disappointed because I always waste my money in TJ Maxx so I decided to leave because she wasn’t even helping and she gave me a nasty attitude for no reason I will never go back to the store again I’m going back to Marshalls.

Worst tjmax in the Bronx. The manager Tanisha is very rude, unprofessional & needs to be retrain as a manager. Asked for a discount because the piece that I wanted to buy was the last piece on the shelve & was dirty. She claim that it was part of the policy while rolling her eyes & giving attitud. When clearly other tjmax or marshals would at least try to look for a different item or offer a small discount. & Waited in line for 1 hour in a half with no AC & people were not even social distancing

To all who are complaining about the cleanliness of the store consider the average person who shops here. Clueless people, usually with young children in tow. Many times I have witnessed children running amok with absolutely no parent even trying to get control over them. Some of the parents don't even know their kid is being dangerous! That is the problem, not the store. The store workers can only do so much. People need to take responsibility for their actions and their children's actions.

I’m in this store about twice a week ... I went in today with my family , my husband went to the jewelry and ask to see a watch ,,, we ask for help to try a watch she “she dint know “ with the nasty attitude ....... “she said it’s was a good thing about the wall and that we need to go and learn the English “ with her hand made a shut up sing and said shhh !!! as we were kids !!! This lady is racist ...... remind you she is African America ..

The managers are ok the worker always gossiping ( with the tall African American male manager.. btw) the floor persons are very unprofessional and don't know anything about the items and some simply don't want to help and a few of the cashiers are not people friendly... very unprofessional and house items are all over the place! Ugh!!' Avoid this one if you want a pleasant shopping experience!!!

Customer service is terrible.cashiers needs to pay attention to the customer Instead of having a conversation with the cashier next to them.cashier was rude mind u she was a coordinator she needs to go back to training and learn the right way.she didnt know how to bag my items and was just tossing them in the bag .so unprofessional

I was not happy either with the choices or the prices of the items I was looking for. It seems that for many stores, if you are an Extra Large, choices are very limited. Also, it seems that even tho I am thinner, I am now a double extra large. Sizes have changed. Checkout lines were slow because of the lack of cashier's.

Really cute stuff....but the Store Leadership schedules the workers, who mann the registers as if they were a skeletal crew with only 3 of 8 itlm open registers....it makes lines wrap around the store. I left my cart full if items and said "not today"....It's a damn super spreader events in there!‍♂️‍♂️ …

Beware Don’t go to this location!!!!! The cashiers are ALL DISTURBED AND RUDE Especially the OLD white beard man with the BALD head and the young Spanish little kid get back to school get a real job ! I only ran in this raggedy store because it was last minute. No customer service very unorganized just disgusted!!!

Came in to buy 2 rings for my daughter, no one was at the the jewelry counter. Asked the manager was anyone working in that area, she said yes they will be right there in a moment. A moment turns into 25 minutes. Then I decided to go to Macy's instead. Will pay a lot more there but the staff never disappoints me.

Waiting in line to pay, and I see the acting manager getting taking some girl to a cashier from the other end of the cashier line, disregarding people who wait in the line as they are supposed to. The shelves are half empty, the selection is very poor. Waist of time trying to find a good buy.

Huge! Unexpected. This was the first time I've ever been to this store. They offered a significant selection and had dressing rooms. The shoe selection was wide, but most had little to no arch support whatsoever. I'm practical, so this was an issue for me. Otherwise, I would shop here again.

This is my first time at the store. It is relatively small compared to the other stores I've shopped at. There wasn't a huge selection for shoes but I was able to purchase a cute pair. It has a decent selection of clothes. There was a small line but it moved quickly. I would shop here again.

The store is ok but that one cashiers so nasty I think she's spanish mixe back most of the time she's in charge I've been there many times and she never says hello or have a good day, I actually think she doesn't even say thank you to customers. It's a shame to have that thing in the store.

T.J.Maxx is okay to go shopping but you have to look for items all around the store some stop I have very helpful some staff don't have no idea where they're at I think they need to work on it training recommended 75% if you looking for bargain you got to go treasure hunting good luck peace

TJMAXX at Fordham has a great variety of items in department categories! This store is relatoverly clean and organized... customers should respect this. Lots of good brand name items to choose from. Associates are friendly and accommodating to customers. Customers should respect this.

I would really like to give this a better rating, but unfortunately their stock is not that great. I've been to other locations and their product availability is a lot better. This one isn't too far from home, so it's my first choice, but better options are always appreciated

Place was way to cluttered and disorganized when you walk in you really feel like you've just walked into some cluttered basement the lines were also extremely long for a tues mid afternoon due to short staffing but i will say the employees were very helpful and polite

It was crowded but the cashiers are fast. My cashier didn't allow me to choose how I wanted to receive my receipt. I like to get it emailed just in case I lose the receipt I'll have it in my email but that's not happening. But overall it just a little messy but good.

Some nice people, some not. But they have FREE phone charging stations, it's like a locker for your phones! Go right up the escalator and to your left you'll see them. It locks and everything so you can shop while it’s in there; come back to 100% charged battery!

The inventory changes frequently and you just need time to visit the store to get good finds ranging from fragrances and soaps to shoes and kitchen ware. And they also sell items and dry food for cats and dogs. It's a good mix of items to pick from.

I love Tj Max but this location is not well stock, just make sure you go early mornings, other than that the employes are very friendly, the store is very clean and they handicap friendly but parking is an issue depending what hours you visit.

This is not a big location like other ones. They do keep the store quite neat and organized. The only downside at this location is they don't keep a large inventory of boys clothes size 8-10 and they do not have a shoe section for men..bummer.

Wide variety of items. My only issues are that with a lengthy line only one cashier was open. Secondly they have a passcode on the bathroom door which means you need a sales person to open it up for you, and salespeople are sometimes scarce.

Great store, some makeup is expires and lines are INCREDIBLY long. They are super slow too, but they have a great selection of items and you can find so many things like arts and crafts stuff, clothes and name brand makeup

Like all discount stores, timing is everything. On this particular day there were slim pickings, especially in women's clothing, shoes & bags. When they're well stocked, it's a much better shopping experience.

I Went threre for my fis time, and I was in shock when i sow it neeeds to be more organize, there are no worker when you need one.amd Merchandise...... all over.... toooo crowded. Definitely NO Y FAVOR.

Great prices and clean. The staff should be more helpful in asking if anyone needs help. But most people like to be left alone while shopping. I guess the products should sell themselves in this store.

They have of lots of different brands of jackets and coats T very reasonable prices The racks are not stuffed. Workers very nice and happy to be working Note. Layaway only takes coats nothing else

I normally love going to TJ Maxx. Wanted to try this store out, it was a mess. It looked like a flee market, they need to be more organized not going to this tj max maxx ever again.

The Line is this store is ALWAYS SO LONG. I think i spend more time waiting in line than i do shopping; not to mention there’s only 3 cashiers in this 3 floor department store.

TJ Maxx staff very friendly, professional and customer oriented. Even do they didn't have the item/color I was looking for my experience there, as always, was very pleasant.

If you need help with your electronics this is the place to go. Every employee is up to helping. A friendly face and information to be had here. I enjoyed my time here.

Angelina, the cashier, was very unpleasant. All of the staff here have been very nice but I don't know why this one is so miserable.

They don't have a super great selection of clothes or shoes, but they do have a surprisingly nice home section & some nice jewlery.

T. J. Maxx is my favourite store i always find some nice things. But i wish you could have a store at Bay Plaza Mall in.the Bronx.

Right on third avenue and Fordham, TJmaxx has great stuff at good prices. I love going to their shops at different locations.
