Whether it's a piece of jewelry, home furnishing item, or clothes, I always find something nice whenever I pop into this location. However, the managers and some of the sales associates need to be retrained. Returning items at this location is stressful; they treat customers as if they're thieves. I visit this location quite often and can drop anywhere from $100 to nearly $400 in one trip! However, despite my loyalty to this store, the managers and sales people will blatantly lie and say that the item description on the tag/barcode doesn't match the item I'm returning...really?!? And then I'm left awkwardly trying to prove that I'm not being dishonest in front of other customers who are waiting in line. Then the associates and/or manager takes the item(s) to the other side of the register to further investigate, while awkwardly looking over their shoulder at me and calling over their colleagues to take a look, making me even more uncomfortable. Not only has this happened to me, but I've seen it done to others as well! People just aren't taking the time to complain via reviews. Just because a customer returns an item closer to the 30 day return deadline, doesnt mean that they've done something shady! Kids, work, and other uncontrollable factors-- especially throughout this pandemic-- can sometimes get in the way of more trivial things. Does that mean I dont deserve a refund and/or to be embarrassed within the store? I've literally started taking pictures of the items I plan on purchasing-- while still in the store-- and keeping it with the receipt in case I ever need to make another return. I shouldn't have to do that! Also, you have all of those security cameras-- as well as a security guard at the entrance/exit-- within the store and you're still going to treat customers like thieves? **TJ Maxx needs to provide better item descriptions on the receipts to avoid this from happening! It's not enough to list the departments and the price. One day, they're going to inadvertently accuse the wrong customer of theft and find themselves battling a defamation lawsuit!!** Also, providing removable tags on items would be useful! I sometimes shop here for gifts and am expected to leave the tag on?? It's a bit awkward to gift someone a sweater with a discount tag reflecting the sale price.

The checkout line is always extremely long and there’s barely any cashiers available doesn’t matter the day. Today I was sadly cashed out by the manager and it was just an awful experience. Manager lacks customer service skills and had the most unpleasant attitude. I was in disbelief when the manager stated who she was to me. I have never had any complaints about the prices and merchandise in this location. To be honest waiting in the checkout line had never bothered me until I was charged. The younger people that work there have more manners.

I went there to buy a new lunch bag and it was my first visit to this store in the Bronx. It seemed smaller than the one I frequent in Orange county but I was on a mission to get that lunch bag but they didn't have any that grabbed my attention. But I didn't leave empty handed.. I found caramel Pop ..and it was reasonably priced and delicious at only 2.99! I know I could have purchased it somewhere else for 1 99 but it's not as tasty as this one was. Shopping at TJ Maxx is always an adventure and I always end up buying something.

The store is often devoid of employees , but never lacking in abject clothing chaos. The last time I went the housewares ??? (Housewares needs citation) section it seemed flooded and there was an odd disembodied odor, but they could not be bothered to post signs on the aisle instead a tapped up a clothing rack was used to block the path and it wasn't even the flooded aisle. Sadly, this seems the norm in retail, but mostly here. The sad skeletal remains of a big box store/corpse.

I like the lowkey aspect of this store as there isnt a lot of foot traffic in this plaza in throgs neck, however the lack of it matches with the inventory of the store. There is definitely not much of a selection when it comes to looking for discounted anything as the store is a bit smaller than regular tj maxx's. Overall it is a nice place to stop by everyone once in a while but definitely not a place for deal hunters. Although I have seen some runway clothes here before.

you can find good clothes in very good price is not a big store but easy to pick what you like they have women, men, kids clothes some gym equipment like roller and other stuff a small amount of everything i went there 2 days before Christmas there were nice jackets that I wanted to buy but didn't have time the store was bizy long lines then i went back on January 6 to see if the store still have what I want but the store looked empty no men's jackets only 4 left.

This T.J. Maxx is simply amazing. I usually come here for jewelry, beuty supplies and home decor. They have high quailty tools and great jewelry pieces. Although customer service is not that great, this T.J. Maxx was not crowded and was very organized. I will definetely return. However, I am sad that they don't have as much selection in the skin care section in comparison to other T.J Maxx locations. But, overall, a great experience.

My cashier, Lena, was very warm and friendly. I also found a pair of sunglasses in the bathroom when I was there and the associate on the floor was very helpful and directing me to the cashier who was grateful for the item and said she would put it in the lost and found they have at the store. There was a beautiful selection of items and it was nice to find things that are affordable in this economy :)

The jewelry counter at this TJ Maxx is one of the best ones I’ve encountered. The staff is also helpful, polite, and friendly. There’s a pretty good selection of items here as well, and it’s a great spot to find jackets. Now then… one of the escalators is almost always down every time I’ve gone (granted that’s only been about 4 times now) and that’s kind of odd. Lol

I always find good buys here, even when I'm not looking for anything specific. Today I found a very nice dressy blouse for under 20 dollars and one for my daughter too. I also like their choices of soaps and body lotions. I bought rose body lotion which I have been looking for, for some time. They also require masks and sanitize the carts which I am grateful for.

This is a go to place whenever you have a special occasion and haven't gotten anything yet. Christmas, birthday's, or anything like that, this place always save the day. Has lots of different items, including famous brands at great discount prices. Yes it hasn't renew alot of the inventory, but hey we are in a pandemic for God sake. Recomended 100 %.

People who work there are kind. It is a right time to buy winter jackets and sweaters. Wonderful variety! You can still feel the difference before and after Covid since supplies are updated for the season but not much on home decor or too much stock on home essentials like towels sheets or bedspreads. They are getting there little by little.

The best tj maxx in the city. naji and ariel are always the fastest, kind and most helpful at the register and all floor staff are amazing and kind too throughout all my regular visits i had in this location for the past few years. 1 star off because this place can get busy sometime and need more cashiers and people in the jewelry booth

It's pretty organized compared to other tj max in the bronx, but it's a bit small, and there's little to no air conditioner. There's a few fast food places to eat. You also have target and 2 Starbucks. One inside target and the other on the main parking lot floor with drive thru. The q44 stops across the street and parking is free.

Always clean and selection of items for the size of the store. I’ve never came to this store and not find what I was looking for. Staff is courteous and helpful on the floor and at the register. Been here many times and each time I have yet to be let down by the store and it’s staff.

This is a tiny, tired excuse for a TJ Maxx. It feels like a thrift shop, without the super-low prices. Clothing seems scattered everywhere. I went to find a dress...they had 5 of them! It's just really sad. Go to the good one in Mount Vernon. It's only a few minutes away.

This new TJ Maxx is very clean and neatly organized. I must say that TJ Maxx making a lot of stores. Well priced items and overlook of the store very good. Alwsys love to visit TJ Maxx just to see what workout clothes I van find. If you're in the area stop for a visit.

I like this store. It’s a hit or miss with finding something I’m looking for. Go early otherwise there are always long lines. I wait in them regardless but I prefer to come shop with less people around. Doors open I’m there. No lines. Not many people.

The aisles are horrendous. No organization at all. Whoever the manager was on June 11th around 7pm really needs an attitude adjustment. Extremely rude and not very helpful. I would be surprised if this location stays open much longer.

This is one of the smaller TJ Maxxs I have visited. For the most part, the store is organized and does'nt have their merchandise thrown around everywhere like in other stores. It also does'nt seem to get too crowded which is great.

Shelves are empty, I was over charged for clearance items. I get home and the eye cream I purchased as broken and there was no product in the jar. So I paid $7 for small box of broken glass and dry crusty eye cream

Don't really have much of a selection, I don't know if due to the season or just a lack of inventory. The men clothes and women's shoes is almost nonexistent... burington have better a selections of clothes.

This is the most organized T.J.Maxx I've been to. It's also not as busy as the others. If you want to find what you need without the wait then this location is your best bet. Have fun.

Picked up some velvety linens, Pillows and my favorite thing here, the tobacco or whiskey candles. That lump of coal was a pretty serious scent. I didnt get it. lol
