This is a clear warning to all unaware passengers arriving from international flights. I took auto twice and both the times got the same experience. Basically they queue up expecting long rides and if you take the auto for short distance they will try every trick to fraud, cheat or cancel the ride. My first experience was that rickshaw guy asked me to get down on the main road outside the airport premises because he wanted to go in other direction, I think that was just excuse because he didn't get a very long distance ride. Since I was tired and didn't want to enter in an argument, I agreed only with the condition that he would not charged me anything and he would load and unload all my luggage into another auto. The second experience was even worse because the rickshaw guy was not willing to switch the metre on. Just blatantly said that it's not working. I immediately told him to stop near a road safety police but even that didn't seem to bother him and he was willing to stop if i insisted. He gave stupid excuse that metre is not working since many days. When I asked why he was in the airport queue in first place with a broken meter and why he didn't inform me before I sat in, he just carelessly replied "i forgot". Really obnoxious freaks. So basically he was just getting ready to charge me crazy amount for a very short ride to Andheri East. The way I handled it was I quietly sat all the way to my destination. On the way, I quietly checked online the distance and the correct auto fare. Once side reached, I first got my luggage down and then handed him the appropriate cash and just walked away. He kept shouting behind me asking for more money but I just didn't pay any attention and I told him I will go to police if he tries anything more. Moral of the story: these auto rickshaw guys stand in the queue for over an hour, so they want to make it worth their wait. So be prepared to be treated with contempt if you use them for short rides. Would really make you wonder who is taking whom for a ride
This year the prepaid taxis at International Airport have stopped all services to Juhu. The reason cited is construction on some Gokhale Bridge in Andheri. Whereas auto rickshaws and Uber and Ola continue to reach juhu via other routes. The prepaid taxis previously would use Milan Subway but as per the counter staff it's the RTO's rule so no service is offered and staff only wait for a service to be not offered to show their true customer skills. Taking a rickshaw is the only option with all luggage as Uber or Ola or private taxis charge exorbitant prices. RTO needs to rethink this as it's sad that you would stop service without any thought or consideration. This is a service which is paid for so hopefully they can rethink about starting the service and not make it inconvenient for the passenger after they arrive from a flight.
There is a board that clearly mentions that the rickshaw driver has to go by meter. On 24th November, we sat in the rickshaw with our luggage and we told him to start the meter when we sat. He refused and left us in the middle of the road outside the airport. The airport should not allow such things to happen with passengers. He asked us to give him 200 Rs. Whereas when we travelled with another rickshaw after this incident it was only 60Rs. By meter. I would rather go by ola or uber and pay more than go through this experience of standing in a line and waiting for at least 10 minutes after traveling and facing this kind of situation. I am a local, I cannot imagine what would happen with other passengers.
Departure point. You can get lot of strolleys easily. If you come by car, then it cannot wait for too long. The car can wait for 2 minutes for you to get off with luggage. If you take time, you will hear a whistle asking the car to leave. Around this area, to the right when you enter, you can find lot of eating joints and wash room. Just if you have time for your flight, you can eat here or hang with your friends. You can get an uber very fast if you want a pickup but you will have to pay Rs 150 in addition to your bill as entry fee.
One of the best Airport in India in terms of services and flights. The 2nd party security staffs outside Departure & Arrival are very very rude when CISF is there to control everything so politely and efficiently even though they disturb the family members went to drop their member they unnecessarily fight and shoo them so inhumanely And in ground floor those private gate security ladies gents are also rude and they should be taught to be polite with every individual. Airport is the best maintained one.
Mumbai Airport is beautifully designed and well maintained but for those who after arriving on mumbai Airport book ola/uber for going back home face reql time issue. Last night our flight landed at 9.30pm and we were out from the airport by 10pm and we had immediately booked the cab to go back home but due to immense rush and mismanagement there all the passengers had to wait for almost an hour to get into their cabs.we did cab booking at 10pm and got into the same cab at 11pm
One of the best airports in the world. Especially in India. Most connected and frequent flights available for both domestic and international travel. Managed well, systematic and good security as well. Easy navigation and premium parking available. Ola Uber Auto rickshaw stands available and have dedicated spots. Many eating options inside as well as outside near departure as well as arrival points. Bit expensive because it's the airport.
T2 International Airport is fabulous.. a well maintained and very Neat and clean... inside you have plenty of shops like malls for making any purchase, of course you know the pricing.. one tip for first time visitors here unlike domestic terminal where if you are there 1hour in advance is sufficient but here you have to be inside atleast 2hrs before your boarding time because the place is so big and the que for checking is also huge..
It might get a lil bit confusing here on T2 terminal.. always reach 2-3hours in advance to have a hassle free experience. But know that from auto stand you’ve to take an elevator up to P10 for departures from Mumbai. It’s fairly easy from there. It’s a big massive airport but proper signboards are there! Just follow it. On top it has wonderful feels like a cafe. Super massive inside as well so always reach 2-3hours in advance.
Very nicely the areas are allocated to all the prepaid cabs but always a mess inside. Nobody waits in a queue and always so crowded with people waiting and pushing each others and cabs honking to get inside. Better call your driver and ask him to come and pick you up till their car parking spot. Works well if you have less luggage or more people who can pick/push your bags as trolleys you would have to leave there
One of the biggest and busiest airport. Need a good amount of time to reach the gate. Consider enough time from check in to reach the gate. Although golf cars are available but not for everyone. Besides there are multiple shopping outlets for the last minute shopping. Outside the terminal the parking lot have changed so to reach OLA or Uber or any other public transport get it checked twice.
Looks great. It's very convenient to take the escalator or elevator to the lower floor and get an auto rickshaw. There is always a long queue, so prepare for the same. There are other modes of transportation nearby, like Metro, taxi and buses, so it is very conveniently located. The arrival area is very green and pleasant. Complete with a waterfall and couple of cafes.
It's a place where rickshaws are lined up for the traveller who can get affordable rides at the meter rate set as per Mumbai rates. There are cabs and other facilities also but this stand is specifically lined up for the traveller like to get cheap and affordable travel within small distance. Overall good budget friendly rides available for everyone who visit Mumbai.
It is a very good rickshaw stand. I always recommend my friends to use this rickshaw stand. Whenever I am in Andheri or nearby areas, I take a cab to to this rickshaw stand and take a rickshaw. My mother always appreciated my choice of using this rickshaw stand. This rickshaw stand teaches us unity in diversity. T2 Rickshaw Stand rocks :)
Some of the very worst airport experience ls ever had till date, it's very very confusing, management of different vendors and AAI can collaborate better to atleast put appropriate sign boards at right places to ease the conveniemce for passengers also the traffic situation is there to make you wait for long.
Huge clean terminal, one of the best in the country. Always a pleasure to board a plane from here. However getting out of the airport on arrival can be confusing for the first time. I recommend walking out of the airport and booking a cab, especially if you stay nearby and do not have much luggage
This is not the exact parking for Auto Rickshaw. Rickshaws should also be allowed as if someone is visiting via rickshaw why it has a separate stand. They all are lacking for the customers as they have been kept at the last option outside the airport area. Management needs to think for them also.
A very cluttered, chaotic place with no space for passengers to walk, forget the trolleys. Moreover the walk from the lift to the exit of Ola arena at pillar 24 and then to your destined pillar is tolling. Airport authorities need to work on more exits and easier access to the cabs.
No law and order. Not only rickshaws but even huber transportation sheer chaos. Instead of having law and order people are running after the vehicles. Rickshaws are lord of all they survey. No metres quote any price. I don't understand why all road transport is a mess every where
It's nice arrangements done only problem is mostly they carry passengers without meter ,Rickshaw should go with meterzI would request Airport Authorities to look in this matter n do better so it should be convenient to travelers Thanks n best wishes to the Airport Authorities
There is a direct route from arrival gate number B, which takes you to the auto rickshaw service, you will get the rickshaw as soon as possible, thanks to the staff here, who provide an excellent service. Discipline is kept, otherwise the rickshaw pullers are quarrelsome.
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSMIA) is a modern and well-equipped terminal that caters to both domestic and international passengers. The terminal is spacious and clean, with plenty of seating and amenities. The staff is generally helpful and courteous
Service is good and as per queue so no issue for both travellers and rickshaw wala. But it is located far away from the terminal 2 departure causing much time to reach the rickshaw stand. T1 terminal rickshaw stand is much much nearer and convenient to travellers.
We see the stand is missing benches for elders to sit while waiting also passengers are found jumping the queue. There is a lot of rush of autos at the stand. It would be better if we have a couple more pickup points and improved management at the current stand.
10 floor devided for different purpose fecility P4 is most usable for cab, taxi, uber, ola P5 general exit for auto and all Fast services of airport with unique dress code staff Uber and ola have waiting lounge with their advisor for cab booking
Upon reaching the Mumbai Terminal 2 aerobridge, please proceed to book your cab immediately. The average wait time for cabs at this terminal is approximately 10 minutes. After exiting the main building, make your way to the building …
A cheap options to travel rather than booking ola. No auto refuse to reach your destination and they are very friendly. Sometimes there is very long queue of people that increase the waiting time. Rest best system to catch the auto
Too dangerous with taxi union leaders pestering flight passengers. We faced tremendous resistance from cab drivers asking elderly people and invalid people to move from airport gate to pillar numbers.
Rickshaw option available 24x7. For nearby destination it is cheapest transport option. But queue is longer, but continuously moving. Consider 10-20 minutes waiting time in queue depending on crowd.
easy access to all kinds of public transport … auto, taxi, uber & ola as well as buses. normal kaali peeli available in prepaid form which is a big plus as nowadays uber/ola are fleecing consumers.
Awesome interior. Best in design airports in india. But crowded near checkin points. please note that my review is for interior of Terminal 2 of Chatrapati shivaji maharaj international airport.
Longest ever walk from arrival / departure Longest waiting line to grab Autos accept the ride in front of supervisors but then ask for 50/100 rs extra once they start and exit airport road
even though the airport authority is trying to make rickshaw wala to follow meter, mostly they won't. Also you have to walk long to reach it. Better avoid if you have heavy baggage. …
The Airport is great, spacious & provides various types of cuisines, gift shops & lounges. It's very easy to move around the airport premises and indulge with shopping, eating etc.
Auto easily available for western as well as eastern line. At night autos are charging higher than actual meter charges. First confirm that charges are as per meter.
Pre paid taxiwala asked 600 for Andheri station. We reached only for 130 through Ola. Concerned authorities please take necessary action as they are looting people.
The airport staff help you get a rikshaw really quick however nearby you may need to go. Rikshaw walas cannot harass passengers by saying No to close by locations
Worst. No control of Police or Airport staff to control Auto Guys. If Auto Driver comes to know that u r from out of Mumbai , he will just tell u any damn amount
New modern and big Terminal 2 for international flights. Be aware if you smoke or use heat-not- burn products or vaping - they confiscate all devices!!!
Horrible is a small word to describe the experience. None of the Autos are interested in taking passengers unless it is a long distance fare.
It's very convenient if someone landing at T2 and wishes to hire rickshaw. just exit the paid parking bay and within 200/300 metres walking.
Worst services, they want to go without meter on high prices for less then 5km range. Better to book taxi from walk away distance of airport
Air fares are looting.5 Times more people are looted.Adani partner of Narendra modi.vijay mallaya kingfisher was far better than nowadays.
Long long long way to exit. The travellayor route was a little dimly lit. Taxi management was excellent. Overall a very well done place
There are so many unauthorised Auto drivers who over charge to which the passengers should avoid. Should hire from queue only.
It was a good experience there along with other people. With good atmosphere & nearby availability & much more to be done.
Visited the prepaid AC taxi stand. Quite quick and orderly. Reasonable taxi rates. No waiting time like OLA etc.
All things under one roof......so nice experience and so...... helpful staff specially our INDIAN Army Javan
They try to fleece you by asking you for a fixed price. Pls reject. And insist only by meter.
