I have banked at TD for over 30 years and have seen their once incredible customer service deteriorate so badly over the last 10 years that I have finally come to my senses to switch banks. The final straw was sitting on hold and on the phone for over 5 hours as one interac email transaction out of my mother's account froze all of my TD accounts (two bank accounts, a line of credit, a mortgage, TD Visa, RRSP and TFSA), my mother's accounts (various bank and investment accounts) and my brother in law's accounts. This was discovered when I tried to make a $30 purchase at Home Depot and had my debit and credit cards declined. It is inexcusable that they would make a decision to freeze three separate individuals bank accounts and then not notify them that this has happened and to address it. Customer service at TD these days involves the branch telling you they can't help and then telling you to phone a number where I sat on hold for over four and half hours, getting before speaking to a person who promised to rectify the situation and then did not. I am still locked out of my accounts as is my mother and brother in law. DO NOT BANK HERE. YOU ARE BETTER OFF PUTTING YOUR MONEY UNDER YOUR MATTRESS. Well, I responded via email to the TD response below. Guess what? They haven't messaged me back FOUR DAYS LATER. Absolutely disgraceful and nothing more than a disengeous show of customer service from TD.
A Masterclass in How Not to Treat a New Client I'm really frustrated with my recent experience at TD Bank, and I want to share what happened. I was trying to get a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) and had to book an appointment online because they don't do phone bookings. Even though I clearly stated I wanted to talk about a HELOC, their online system only gave me general options, so I ended up under 'personal line of credit'. On the day of the meeting, I took time off work and went to the bank. The bank officer who was supposed to meet me was 10 minutes late. When she finally showed up, she said she couldn't help with HELOCs and tried to find someone else who could. The other officer could only spare 10 minutes because of another meeting. I mean, I had taken the day off for this and explained everything clearly when I booked the appointment. Then, they said they'd get the branch manager to help, but after another 10-minute wait, even the manager said they couldn't help me. I just don't get it. Why would they set up a meeting if they couldn't handle my request? And why didn't they respect my time? This whole thing was just a bad experience, and honestly, I'm glad I'm not dealing with this bank anymore. If you're looking for banking services, especially a HELOC, I'd suggest going somewhere else. You'd probably want your time and needs taken seriously.
One of the Worst Branch in Calgary! Do Not Use it if you can! Forget sending a wire transfer as those people at the counter are completely incompetent. I wasted 10 days and 2 trips to the branch just yo get the wire back in 10 days. No one bothered to call and ask for missing information. And the teller didn’t even bother to put an IBAN number into the wire instructions, arguing that account number is enough. Apparently it wasn’t enough. After all that incompetence from the branch members the manager Olson didn’t even bother to reimburse me missing $90 from the wire, refusing with a note that they are not responsible for any wire transfer missing info. Whats a point for them to be even open if they are not responsible for their main business and complete incompetence from the teller to the branch manager? Im opening an official complaint on this branch and want for others to see this and avoid that branch. My wife got bad experience with their services as well as their manager who seems to be a really bad fit to be in that position. I will never use this branch anymore and I hope TD will deeply look in to the issues people/customers having with this branch! As that bad customer service is affecting their main business.
I'm a business owner and tried to get a business account with TD. Easy enough. I set up the bank account with a kind lady named Darlene, provided the necessary documents, and had started integrating the account with payment solutions. That is, however, until Darlene decided to email me and tell me that there was a small rule she had missed which forced her to close the bank account. Rules are rules; I get that. However, I was worried about my money. I sent Darlene an email half an hour after she told me the bank account was closed. Didn't respond. I called her a few times every day for four days (all during business hours). No reply. It has been almost 2 weeks and Darlene has still neglected to call or email me back about my the questions I had. Luckily, I was able to get my answers elsewhere about a week later, but during that time, Darlene would not answer me. I understand that the bank account had to close. What frustrated me was the fact that I was completely in the dark for about a week or so before I heard from a different company about the issue.
I am TD bank client since 2009. I have been visiting only westhills branch for my needs. It came to my attention that TD bank employee has been accessing accounts and revealing information. I came to know about this when some community members were discussing about this. I am scared that inspite of strict privacy agreements how can any corporate employees can do so. We can only build ties in this country after opening bank accounts. If banks can't keep their client information safe there is no point in opening bank accounts I did raise a complaint with customer service. They were not able to trace or resolve. Their good will gesture is not going to help me when my information is revealed in public. How can we trust banks? Please be cautious . It is better to close the accounts.
I have been dealing with this TD branch for years and have been pleased with the service. Unfortunately today, Saturday Sept.16,2017, my young grandson was with me and he and my husband went over to customer service to inquire about opening a bank account for my grandson. The woman at the customer service was extremely rude in her reply to my husband and young grandson, she abruptly stated that he would need two pieces of ID and that there was no time to serve him until 2 o'clock .(2 hours away) I was busy completing transactions with the teller while this was occurring but did see my grandson become teary eyed.If this is the way potential clients are treated I am seriously thinking of moving my accounts!!
Worst branch! I avoid going in if at all possible. They are not helpful and often incompetent. The manager gets defensive and argumentative. They would not let me deposit a cheque signed over to me. They gave me no good explanation. I told them I deposited those cheques at the machine all the time, no issues (did so that day no issues). They keep putting holds on atm deposits into my account even though they are not supposed to, we are long term clients and have had to address this issue over and over. It was an ordeal to access RESP funds when needed. I am tempered to move everything to a smaller bank or trust company.
lots of polar reviews here. in general, they have great, friendly customer service and convenient hours. They love my dog BB and sometimes give him treats. I love Lillabeth! i've opened different types of accounts with them. There is one rep who I will not mention who isn't entirely "with it." She means well, but is inefficient and unknowledgeable compared to the rest. She often needs help with the transactions I make (which I think are basic). I've learned to avoid her to have a smooth banking experience.
So disappointing with the financial advisor who handled us for our mortgage renewal.I guess she will leaving soon in td signal hill branch that’s why she doesn’t care about their customer how we feels when we seek an advised about in selling and purchasing a new home. The way she explained to me and to my husband we have no capacity to pay a higher mortgage property. We felt like she underestimate us! No documents provided in renewing our mortgage as she mentioned she will send an email to us.
Weekend branch manager. Amazing. Weekday branch manager. Awful! If your holdings are not worth much and with 16 years of service seems to get you no where. Small guys get screwed over even when you bringing significantly more money in to pay off debt you get LIMITED! Everything is a choice and a branch has options to appeal to the small accounts! Asked many other banks and they were shocked at the treatment a long standing customer had. TD .. distasteful business platform.
Bought my first house with TD Bank. I had an amazing experience. Diane Marshall helped me though the entire process and was outstanding. She had all the answers to my questions and was very patient with explaining the technical terms used during the home process. She was also able to get me an amazing interest rate and was very easy to get ahold of. I would highly recommend Diane Marshall for anyone looking at getting a mortgage.
Logan is THE BEST. He was unable to help me when I visited the branch due to system limitations, but then offered to make a note so I didn’t have to come back in at month end. He then phoned me to confirm that he completed the final task that we discussed. I felt that my time was respected. Logan truly gave the best customer service I have seen in years. I hope TD recognizes him for his above and beyond customer service.
Absolutely incredible service today. Can’t speak highly enough of the quick careful service I received. TD have streamlined their computer links to give customers confirmation of changes to accounts within minutes. Security guard ensured numbers of people in branch kept low. Staff ready to assist immediately. 10 stars. Thank you all.
TD bank and it’s employees seem to have a difficult time following their processes and procedures, the manager Jinny at this location is no exception and gave the “I don’t know” answers to specific questions regarding wire transfers. I would not recommend TD or having them handle financial assets of mine.
HORRIBLE customer service. I sent a wire transfer for a large amount and they did not want to release the funds. You have to stalk the managers because they’re not available at all. Almost lost an investment opportunity because of them. AVOID AVOID AVOID I will be changing bank as soon as possible
I absolutely loved this branch. I worked with Darlene who has been a dream! Then I came back and had to deal with Hae kyung yoo and experienced a total nightmare. I almost pulled all of my business out of the bank (I've been there since I was 13). Be careful who you consult with!
TD bank is great. the hours suit my lifestyle so much more than trying to rush to other banks that close at 4pm! And they have a business line as well which also really helps me out some days as well, so Im not stuck standing in line as long some times when in there on business.
I had very satisfactory and comfortable experiences in this TD Branch. I met some problems with a personal cheque. The manager, Chia Ling Ting, was very patient and welcoming to help me to resolve this issue. I have to say, she is the best Bank staff I have ever met in Canada.
There is a teller here that I find VERY rude, opening showing her annoyance, becoming condescending as well. Banking is not my job, so some forgiveness would be nice. I have had two negative experiences with her now, so ended by just walking out of the branch to go to another.
Had the displeasure of trying to sort through some wire transfer issues (not my fault). It is a very busy location, never enough tellers. Gave me the run around. Will try to avoid this location when convenient
I have been with this branch for 2 years. The branch manager Laura is great. There is a financial advisor named Diane Marshall, she is friendly, helpful and very patient with client. I strongly recommend her.
In this Td bank a lady who Lorraine , she helped me all the time! She explain to me everything if I don't understand, with her very patient always! She is a wonderful lady! Thanks for your help Lorraine Choi!
Mohan helped me, some of the best service I've ever gotten at a bank. Answered all my questions in full, and then some. Amazing guy, I hope that someone who works there reads this and gives him a raise.
When I go into this branch I'm treated like a person, not a number. The tellers are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The manager (Megan) is helpful and genuinely wants to help clients.
TD will put your bank draft on hold and they told you because you don't have the receipt and incase this is a fake bank draft. But in reality they also making interest on it, shame …
The front service rep lady was able to help me fixed my transaction. Helpful and friendly. This is a good TD but I ended waiting way too long, should have had more rep at the counter.
Unpleasant experience. I felt intimidated talking the teller. If possible, go to different branch if you do not want to experience terrible customer service and ruin your day!!!
The front desk never available to pick up the phone call. Hardly returned the voice message also. Very bad remote custom reception. However the staff in branch are nice.
There is a employee named HANEEN.ABDALQADER, worst customer service. she was so rude while talking. absolutely zero knowledge. she should get a demotion.
Tellers are arrogant. They take their time chit-chat instead of working.. long line always .. bad customer service. Never coming here again
The teller seemed mildly incompetent as I had to repeat myself several times. However, I accomplished what I needed to in a timely manner.
Very helpful and cheerful staff. Plus, they gave us the best rate on a mortgage that couldn't even be matched by a mortgage broker.
Great bank teller. Just went to deposit money into my chequing account and the teller told me about promotions for my credit card.
Fast and great customer service. I like the fact that you are dealing with professional employees with good work ethics.
Always have a good experience going here thanks to the short waits in line and the extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Not a great branch for Business services- took away the Business tellers - and the coffee!
Says it's open til 4pm on Sunday. It's 2 pm right now and they are closed? What the heck?
I should give zero, they are really unprofessional on mortgage, bad service I never see.
Terrible customer service. Switched to CIBC, they treat me much better. Thumbs down TD
Went while the were closed, but only the drive through machine was working.
Thank you for being helpful! This branch is definitely the best! …
Excellent costumer service, I am very happy with them.
