"Very disappointed in TD"
"Summary: Don’t go to this branch for your mortgage"
"Don't ever use this branch (or bank, actually) if you are a small business owner"
"Wow one of the worst experiences with td ever"
"Visited this branch for simple teller transaction and it’s pathetic"
Very disappointed in TD. I’ve been banking with them since I was 12 years old when my dad opened up an account with me and they have never let me down until now. Their ATM is BROKEN and stole my money when I was trying to make a deposit. The machine kept malfunctioning and could not take all of the bills. When I tried to cancel the transaction, the machine would not let go of my bills (the bills kept slipping because of the stupid plastic). So the ATM basically ROBBED me of my money. Absolutely ridiculous. Do NOT go to this awful branch and do NOT use the ATM on the right!! I filed a complaint and requested an ATM audit/investigation in MARCH. I was given a reference number and told that I would be updated in 30 business days. They never updated me. After months of countless phone calls and clueless ‘advisors’, yesterday I was told that an audit/investigation WAS NEVER DONE because the ‘dispute was too small’. They wasted my time for nothing. They gave me a $100 credit to shut me up and said that the case was now closed. I told the customer service rep that I wanted to escalate the case but he said ‘there was nothing to escalate.’ I am LIVID because it’s not just about the money, it’s about the PRINCIPLE. Your machine is broken and ROBBED me and you guys are ok with that?? I WISH I was making this stuff up!! It’s so ridiculous I can’t believe it actually happened. I even told them to check the security cameras, I said I had nothing to hide and I had all the time stamps and receipts. They didn’t care. They just wanted me to shut up. I will be closing my accounts and escalating this with an ombudsman. I am absolutely disgusted.
Summary: Don’t go to this branch for your mortgage. I needed to make some changes to my pre-approved mortgage, it was time sensitive of course, but it ends up wasting a lot fo my time and I couldn't get my mortgage done on time with TD. I reached out to RBC as a back up plan and I got approved within one week. Details: The previous manager who helped me changed position (which happens a lot in this industry) and he referred me to another colleague. Since our property is closing early, we were in a difficult position that we needed to keep 2 mortgages at the same time before closing. I told the new manager, Trillian, the situation and provided many suggestions and options we can put forward to make the deal work. I needed to follow up a few times as I didn’t get a reply usually 2 days later, mind you this is a time sensitive request. I feel that TD doesn’t care about my business and their customers. I was almost reaching the deadline with my lawyer and still haven't got a clear solution from the manager. In my opinion, always go for the mobile mortgage specialist for your mortgage solution as they would usually go for the extra miles to get your business. The TD Financial Advisors are unfortunately very disappointing.
Don't ever use this branch (or bank, actually) if you are a small business owner. None of the big banks care about small businesses and they do more harm than good. I needed to wait 7 business days for a bank certified cheque to clear with TD — 7 business days — which is like 9 full days. Certified cheques are basically cash, where my client paid extra to allow for it to clear immediately. Withholding those funds from us as a small business is plain prejudice. There's no legitimate reason for it except for the bank to earn interest off their clients' money before the clients can even touch it. This slows down my business by holding back when I can order supplies and products for my clients. This is just one of several complaints I can put forward, but I'll leave it that because I don't have the time and it won't make any bit of difference in how they do business. I just suggest any small business think hard before putting their money in such a terrible institution. Use a local credit union instead. They actually DO help small businesses. I am taking my $350,000+ business per year elsewhere.
Wow one of the worst experiences with td ever. I don't think they care much about black folk. I went in today to try to get a new access card due to loss prevention removing my current card. They told me I could go to a bank with ID to get a new card. But I'm in the middle process of attaining new ID. But I have my credit card. So I give them my phone number and for some reason they took my number off my account? But then they ask for ID and I tell them the situation and they ask for ID I give them any card I have that has my name on it with my credit card. He goes and ask his manager and it's a flat no. Clearly at any other location they try and help by either asking security questions and such. This is the worst experience I've had at td in the last decade. If your black avoid this branch they don't care about us.
Visited this branch for simple teller transaction and it’s pathetic. Tellers have no clue what they are doing and can’t even answer a simple credit card question. They have to go to their “manager” for everything (even small transactions) and their managers can’t answer any questions without pulling some advisor out from the offices. There’s never any advisors to book with because they’re at the front working as tellers or being managers. Apparently the actual managers there have never worked with loans, credit cards, or mortgages and don’t know how to do anything except smile and wave. Always understaffed and not trained. TD needs to do better. I’m scared for anyone who trusts this bank. Stay away
Went in around 10 am on July 4th and the teller kept asking me to update my personal information even though I told him I was in a rush. He was being rude and hostile, which in turn made me hostile as well. Then he called his manager over and she was just as rude if not more rude. They kept telling me that is was common procedure to ask these questions, but I told them to trust everything on file was right and to give me my money. All of a sudden they didn’t need to ask any questions and I got out of there in two minutes. Why couldn’t they just do that from the beginning? They kept me there for an extra 20 minutes for a quick withdrawal. Absolute trash employees don’t know how to treat people.
The best bank customer service I ever had in Vancouver. I’ve been to many different banks or even same TD but different branches. This one is the best I’ve encountered. I’ve been to this bank several times and have been served with many different bank tellers. Regardless of which teller, they are always very patient and willing to minimize your problems. Even the new stuff, they are very humbled and apologize for delaying anything. If they have questions, they go to their managers first instead of turning customers away first. I’ll give 5 stars to all employees who work in this branch.
Branch manager and mortgage specialist miscalculated the property transfer tax for our purchase leaving us several thousand dollars short for our loan the day of our closing. The customer service was terrible and the lawyer to this point still hasn't received funding from the branch. Maybe this branch is fine for day to day service, but I cannot recommend strongly enough that you choose a different bank or branch for any meaningful transactions. This has been one of the most stressful experiences of my life. I will never bank with TD again
Justin Ho, Amazing and a great manager Other managers...... absolute sight for sore eyes and incompetent. Puffed up chests, massive ego and every deposit/ withdrawal seems to be a pissing contest. Been banking with them for 20 + years, had 2 mortgages with them in the past and couldn't even get the muppet to clear a $5k cheque... I didn't need the cheque to clear immediately but it was his demeanor and attitude that affected everything. justin 10/10 Balding manager -10/10
Had a disappointing experience with the Manager Johdi today. She took 45 minutes of our time and was unable to complete a transaction, when we went back to BMO to explain why we couldn't complete the transaction they were very surprised and said we had everything we needed - it shouldn't have been an issue. The alternative that TD suggested would have incurred 100's of dollar in additional fees. Poor service and a lack of competence on your part TD, not good!
Great bank and very good customer service, but communication between different branches of TD is atrocious. We moved and attempted to turn this into our home bank, but half the time they make us drive across town to complete paperwork at our old branch because they have such a hard time talking to each other. I cannot imagine what it would be like if we moved cities rather than across town.
Had a wonderful experience banking with TD today. Chibueze N. was the teller that attended to me. He was very polite, couteous and paid good attention to detail. My request was rather difficult from a normal transaction, but he was very patient in getting all the details right. Good job Chibueze !
This is the worst TD branch in Vancouver. I have had nothing but unnecessary issues with the management at this location, it is almost as though they want to make banking more complicated for customers. I highly recommend avoiding this branch at all costs.
Having banked with TD for 25 years (across Canada), this one has driven me to bank with CIBC (who seem to at least get 3 star reviews). I'm sure a large corporate bank can actually be good. But they shouldn't all be this mediocre/bad.
I accidentally shredded an envelope of cash for a business deposit and the tellers spent probably an hour, reconstructing the bill serial numbers with me—perhaps the most gracious service experience I've ever had.
TD closed the branch on 8th and Cambie and now this branch is packed with long wait times. Frustrating. First time I've ever had an issue with service at a TD and I'm hoping it's not a sign of things to come.
I find that the staff at TD are always very friendly and helpful. This branch is no exception. The staff here are amazing. Plus, this location is often less busy than the other ones I pass by downtown.
The worst TD branch in entire Lower Mainland. They never have anyone available to talk to you and when you manage to get an appointment booked they call you the day of that they're not available. Lol
Paolo Santos, the manager of customer experience, made my transition from banking in the United States to Canada as smooth as possible. I highly recommend working with him and this branch
I do business with Td Manitoba Branch Vancouver like to say Justin Ho great manager he take pride what he dose above and beyond great person always Helpful and kind …
You forget your in a bank . It's the Best TD bank I have ever used. I have been with your bank over 25 yrs. This One Bank is the example of how they should all be run.
Benjamin is great! I booked an appointment online and spoke with him about education loans. If you ever need to ask anything money-related, he’s the one to talk too!
Today I was served in this branch, I really loved how the agent Amy Park created a solution to my issue. It is a temporary solution but am glad I got it. Thanks :-)
I have been going to this bank for just over 4 years - literally every time I have been, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Thanks for the great service!!!
Always pretty much like all the time there is no one around so your always helped out right away with whatever your needing to get done.
Friendly, helpful staff. Would consider making them my primary bank if it wasn’t such a haste to change everything over!
Manager Justin Ho is really helpful for answering our question and solving our problem. Good service and professional.
Super friendly staff. Amazing service and friendly managers. Yaletown branch needs to learn from this location!!
I had a great experience with Amy today, she took care of all my requests in a efficient and considerate way.
Nice location although parking can be an issue. Friendly staff always have cookies and coffee in the lobby.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Benjamin Roberts. Super helpful and professional. Thank you Benjamin!
Save yourself a headache, go to broadway Cambie. Staff are condescending and will not address concerns.
Anna Lee elaborately explained all the banking options and was very courteous !
