I am not one to do this often, but feel I must do so, so that the staff and Management here may learn and grow. Firstly, I am about to attend my third visit to complete a new LIF account (similar to RIF). I understand that there are procedures to follow and that many times the branch level can only do so much, however, . . . it is how "you handle and explain" to a customer that has me riled. The application went through but was halted (I had to call the 1-800 people to find out), there was an error on marriage status, and a missed addendum form. When I came into sign the addendum form (missed by my advisor), the Assistant Manager offered platitudes and excuses instead of owning up to the missed document, . . "I was short 5 bodies today", . . . Thinking it had been corrected, it was not. I found out I need to modify the marital status and complete a new application, fine a second visit (well 2 and 1/2 at this point) When I spoke with the Assistant Manager to arrange the second meeting and a new application, she again seemed more concerned in defending the process. All I wanted to know from her was can I simply re-apply?, . . . it took minutes of us bantering before I slowed-stopped the conversation to simply ask for a yes or no. There was a yes. The meeting occurred, a new application quickly processed by the same advisor (he and I were both patient and cordial) and I was off again. 1-800 called and it's still not right. There is a LIF account but for the incorrect province. I understand how-why this happened and that is not my concern at the moment. It is because in attempting to call and book my third meeting (I had the Asst. Mgr contact info), I called and left numerous voice messages on the same Asst. Mgr's voice mail-over a few days, thinking I might be fast tracked to a quicker 3rd meeting. NOT. Instead I called and arranged my own new time. Additionally, although the banks general mail box states that "someone will get back within 24 hours", . . . it is NOT ACCURATE! I suggest changing that auto-attendant's message, as well as updating the Asst. Mgr's message. Hers should properly reflect that she either does not check her messages or is on holidays. A one star would have been more appropriate, but, the second visit did yield the LIF account I was seeking (albeit for the wrong province). I want to reiterate that this rating is based strictly on how I was treated. Let's see if that one star comes later today. Perhaps three times may be a charm! :-)

Dated March 4 2022 I have an account there too and I'm always very polite. I must say that I'm not happy with the way I've been treated at all. One of the tellers I seem to get all the time just does not like me even though I'm super nice and the fact that I'm a customer of TD. I think that she's rude prejudice and obnoxious to say the least. I've been in the branch only recently having to deal with financial issues that required me to see a teller and was treated with total disrespect. It was a Chinese or vietnamese or Asian lady I believe who spoke to me like she was the boss and that the bank money was hers. I could not believe how she was talking to me.She put fuel on the fire. My Mother recently passed away about 2 months ago and my long time companion pet had to be anestthesised 4 days ago. I even mentioned this to her and I was further disrespected by her comment of WE are a Bank here blah blah blah blah blah etc. She could not even tell give me an ounce of sympathy. It would not have cost her anything to say that she was sorry for my losses. My final impression is that this lady is poison and should not be working in a customer service department of any kind. I truly believe that she treats other nice people similar to the way she treated me recently. I suggest that the TD branches put out available survey papers for their customers so that everybody gets treated fairly. We as customers need a voice of some kind to alert the right people to situations like this. I truly hope that whoever reads this from the TD department does something so we all can feel confident when we walk inside a TD branch asking for help regarding our money that is put in trust with TD.

my mom went in to deposit some money and prior to that she had triple checked the amount to make sure it was correct before coming in. when she went in to deposit it the teller had counted it and told her that she was missing 160 dollars in the total amount that she wanted to deposit. my mom asks her to count again so she does another 2 times and the teller still tells her that she is missing that amount. no big deal, my mom pulls out 160 from her wallet cause hey, maybe my mom did miscount it. but my mom decides to count one more time again to make sure for herself and to see with her own eyes and sure enough there were 2 one hundred dollar bills in the stack of 20 dollar bills… i’m not sure if the machine is able to detect different bills or not but honestly it’s pretty weird but maybe it was an honest mistake, it’s all good. my mom hands her back the money to tell her that the problem was she was counting the two 100 dollar bills as 20 dollar bills. At the same time my mom also proceeds to put back the 160 she had taken out back into her wallet. the teller then says that it’s because my mom slipped the 160 into the pile of money which is why the amount changed which was not what had happened. the teller doesn’t want to admit they were wrong and shifts the blame on my mom PLUS my mom didn’t even get a simple “sorry for the mistake”. it honestly isnt even about who is right or wrong but to accuse my mom of doing that and on top of that not apologizing is wild lol. we are all human and mistakes happen and it isn’t a big deal but the extra attitude and accusations were not appreciated

This branch has an atm that basically took my money after counting it. It showed the amount clearly on the screen. Then it was followed up by some message saying the machine can not give back some of the deposited items. It then asked me for the amount again, as if it didn’t already kw this. Then issued me some “Forced Deposit Record”. Then the machine made weird noises and the screen blacked out. I really don’t care that it’s a machine error, it’s a stressful inconvenience and an error that should not be happening. I’ve never had this issue with BMO ever. Meanwhile my money is in the atm and I’m unable to pay bills that are due. And the way the rep on the phone sounded it’s almost like there’s no guarantee I get my money back. The machine knows how much was in there before it acted up. This shouldn’t be an issue.

Me and my fiance went into the td. And the cece employee was very rude when we went in on Friday and when we called and asked to speak to a manager she turned around and said " my manager wants to know why you are calling, if your calling because of me or your application the managers are to busy to take this call" and when we went to respond with both reason she turned around and cut us off and said" look you need to stop and listen to me" So i don't reccomend getting cece to deal with anything regarding your td account or anything. And she refused to get the manager to give us a call. It was all in regards to how come the application we filled out with her had not been sent in yet. And she didn't like that we were calling to find out.

Td in general has always been pretty good to us but recently, I’d neglected to follow up on our kids RESPs. They called and were very flexible with me to fit an appointment in after my kids were off school. We met with Elizabeth. Right from the beginning this was absolutely the best sit-down appointment we have had. I always feel a little uncomfortable because I know nothing but she made me feel at ease and was so friendly. I had my 11&13yr old with me, who she included in the conversation and so even they learned something. The 3 of us left with huge smiles on our faces, and the kids were gifted with a couple TD pens! And let’s be honest, banking isn’t always the most exciting use of time. Thanks Elizabeth!

I have been going to this TD location for over ten years, within the last 3 years there has been a massive drop in customer service and wait times. The bank is consistently understaffed, managers and other employees rarely make an effort to jump on an open till when they see a long line. I must stress that prior to the last few years this branch had a good sense of customer service and friendly staff. It is often unfair to blame the tellers as their misgivings are often due to lack of training and supervision by managers. The ineptitude and lack of responsibility of how this branch has been run over the last few years is evident.

Never have great service from this location. Machines outside & inside are either out of service, or experience glitches such as swallowing cards. When speaking with a manager as to why this happens they told me "we aren't too sure why" which is not the answer you'd hope to hear from a business that deals with your money. Trying to get ahold of an operator through their phone line is a hassle in itself -- be ready to hear 10 automated options just to have to leave a voicemail in hopes they call you back.

It was very frustrating to go to a bank which i am with eversince in Canada. My son who is a minor has a chequing account and he wants to add a savings account that was denied since his passport was expired and has no other picture id to present. We were there an hour before to book an appointment & they did not tell us that the expired passport will not be accepted even he is under my account. My time was wasted going back & forth just so my son can have a savings account which i am proud of.

The 156St. Branch. Two tellers on and a line to the door, with others walking around behind the counter that could help out.Two elderly with walkers and one in a wheelchair left, ad the wait was TERRIBLE. Its like that every time. AWFUL customer service here. Sure makes you feel they don't care. Everytime I go into make a car finance payment, they get so confused...like no one has ever done it before. Seem so mixed up...inspires customet confidence! No wonder my loan payments get lost...geesh.

This is absolutely the worst branch out there. The staff are very ignorant and absolutely the worst at customer services. Wait times are insanely long. The receptionist specifically has been the worst person I have ever had to deal with. I'm shocked this person still has a position with the bank how rudely she speaks with people. I am closing my accounts with TD for various bad experiences solely because of this branch and the anguish it has caused me

I had the worst customer experience at this branch. Showed-up on time for my appointment with Ola, and had to wait 15 minutes to even see him. He spent 5 minutes searching-up basic information on his computer, to tell me something I already knew the answer to; in fact, I knew more about the different types of "Savings Accounts" than he did. Maybe hire people who know what they are talking about. Will not be returning.

This branch manager he is soo Stupid and dame I take a certified check to this branch and he told me he is going hold the check for 5 business days... We had a arguing and they waste much time.... Somebody has told this Stupid manager they don't hold certified check in any bank I'm so disappointed who pot him in this position as a bank manager OMG

Hands down the WORST TD branch in the entire city. The majority of the staff are not only ignorant and rude, some days it's like they go out of their way, just to ruin your day for their own entertainment. If you have the transportation, go to any other branch around and save yourself the headache. If I could give a negative rating, I would.

The atm’s are often closed or inhabited by people “living” in the space. The atm sometimes also doesn’t work or won’t deposit cash/cheques properly. The good thing about this place is its convenience near all the stores so it’s not a hassle going to get cash. The drive thru, like never works, and the parking spots are often filled up.

Worst branch I've visited. Never try to help customer. I got the wrong information from them and visit branch 4 times to unlock my global transfer. These branch does not care the customer, they just don't want to work and give wrong information to customer and make customer to waste their time to visit. Totally horrible branch.

I have been with this branch since coming to Canada and the experience is top notch. Nadia told me about their other services which is TFSA and the good things about it. The WORST bank I have ever been to. 0 customer service and RUDE as hell customer rep and manager. The lady named Atinderdeep treated me like I owe her a million bucks. She gave me contemptuous looks many times during my time at the bank, if I had camera footage I would 100% sue her for discrimination. WORST bank, EVER.

I’ve never had any luck with this branch having currency. Twice now I have come to get some money for a holiday and needing to go to another branch to get the money. If you are traveling and looking to exchange your money, don’t waste your time here! Go to another branch!

I made the biggest mistake going to this bank. Horrible service, lacking in knowledge and EXTREMELY ignorant. This branch needs to be reported to the head office of TD in Toronto. They have zero knowledge in investments. Stay clear from this location.

Its rent day and was in line. I couldnt find my debit card. The teller said if i had i.d. that he could help me. Phew. I did. He was so helpful. I told him i would probably find it in bottom of my purse when i get home. And i did.

I see a lot of negative reviews, but I haven’t had anything bad happen. Obviously there is line ups but that isn’t new. I do wish that the drive through was working but it’s not that bad. Staff has always been friendly when I go!
