SPARE YOURSELF!! Go elsewhere. Trust me, you will remember this review in a few months and wish you had listened. I am blown away by the lack of professionalism and what is accepted by all at this agency. Melissa quoted our home & auto and responded very quickly so I thought I was in good hands. Boy, was I wrong. Melissa stopped responding to my emails and calls after giving numerous excuses of their system being down as to why she miraculously never receives anything. Once I got fed up by Melissa, I spoke to someone else to handle my issue at the time. Then I got in touch with Gloria the supervisor there who handled my was attempting to help with my auto account issue. She seemed great at first and well and just as Melissa, stopped responding to my emails and is always “busy” and can’t call back. She then had Loel handle my account, which once again, he talks the talk in the beginning, and then completely stopped responding to emails, and when I just called, I was told he is busy and will be leaving at four so he cannot call me back even though I have been trying to get in touch with him since last week. I signed my home up with this agency and I immediately started receiving cancellation letters within a month and I would call my agent and ask why and she just said no you’re good just ignore them and a week later I would get another cancellation letter. Everyone in this office seems to just care about your money and getting you written so you are a client after that they do not want to help you and they pass you around doing the bare minimum. Oh, and just like other reviewers have mentioned, there is an agency fee that I paid less than six months ago, just to be treated like this frustrated and tossed around like they do not care for me as a client at all. I see they respond to reviews so once you see this, please again, spare us all the pathetic, fake response acting as if you are shocked or you would like to fix it. I have everything documented from emails, phone call times & my last call which I said was recorded. You’ve had many, many chances and I’ve talked to many people who now will not respond so that door has closed.

First of all, this is a real-person review and not one of the fake 5-star reviews. My name is Nicole and although I am just a teenager, I am writing this review to share what my mom (and my family) have gone through over the past 3 months just because my mom filed a claim for hail damage on the homeowner's insurance policy sold to us by TGS Insurance Agency. The insurance agent representing TGS Agency wrote and sold an ambiguous policy to my mom just to make a sale. He did not disclose changes that were made on that policy that made it different from our previous policy that we had, and my mom had no idea that she was being duped. All TGS Agency cared about was getting their commission. Fast forward to one year later in February this year when my mom filed a claim for roof replacement due to hail damage and she got a shocker! The insurance company (Branch Insurance) refuses to replace the roof! When my mom asked for an explanation as to why, both TGS Agency and Branch Insurance began the game of passing my mom back and forth between each other. It has been a nightmare for my family since then. My mother is an immigrant and a single mom who works extremely hard and believes in doing the right thing including paying her bills on time. She has two jobs in two hospitals just to give us the best opportunities in life and she definitely does not deserve the treatment she has received from both TGS Insurance Agency and Branch Insurance. I have no choice but to set aside my school homework tonight and help my mom find a solution by writing this review and reaching out on my social media and to my local tv station here in Dallas. It is a shame that companies like TGS Insurance Agency and Branch Insurance would make the decision to take advantage of the most vulnerable in our community just to make a profit. I want the public to be aware of what these two companies are capable of........

This place has been nothing but issues. Their pricing has been somewhat competitive so I have stuck with them for a second round but the service has been beyond poor. Hard to ever get the same person on the phone, they cant seem to get documents to the mortgage company, no responses to emails. I have gotten notices of cancelation from the insurance company that I had to sort through because they did not get documentation in in a timely manner. Once that was cleared up there were more issues on the mortgage company side stating that they never received proof of coverage from the company. Similar issues happened the first time around but I was hopeful that it was just a fluke. That was not the case, just sheer incompetency and lack of care for their customers. You are paying a brokerage fee for services that are rarely even meeting the minimum requirements of just sending documentation. Regardless of the cost I will not be a repeat customer with this company. I am a firm believer that half the positive reviews must have come from within the company. I have dealt with a dozen different people within the office at this point and they all seem happy to try and help yet nothing really gets fixed. Buyer beware. EDIT: The response is inaccurate. I have left 3 messages to be contacted about an issue with my policy as well as 2 emails with no response. There was a misquote during my home policy (Which I can understand what happened so no issue there) but was told by an agent that the amount they are requesting for the change does not equal out to the standard increase for the mentioned policy change. I have yet to be contacted about it after the inquiry.

After signing on as a customer, the customer service is dismal. The once very responsive agent who signs you up, becomes a unresponsive ghost number; and when I texted I have another house to insure, he suddenly becomes alive again. I should have taken that as a warning sign. But in a effort to consolidate and simplify all my insurance needs, I signed up various home and car policies with them. My agent assured me there’s a customer service team, that he’s the front customer sign up team. Very unfortunately for me, when I emailed the support team, it’s like a black hole, several emails went unanswered. They simply keep sending automated emails. And when I called the support line, they have the nerve to say they get too many emails per day so they can’t read them all. I dare not imagine what would happen when I have to file a claim. I just pray that all will be fine until my policies expire, so I can move them to another agency who doesn’t disappear after collecting all commissions upfront. All other reviews I have ever written were 5 stars. But I feel responsible to warn others about this. STAY AWAY from this agency, for your sake!

I would not go with this insurance company. I was lured in by the low rates, but they completely messed up switching 4 landlord policies. I had to contact them because they took the agent fee for all 4 policies leading me to believe the policies went into effect, but I never got charged for the policies by the actual insurance carrier. The agent forgot to finish the paperwork and I was without insurance. They were able to backdate it so it worked out, but that was the sign I should’ve found another insurance agent. The agent never mentioned that I had to have an inspection and the company they chose, Allied Trust, canceled my policy due to electrical work. None of my previous insurance carriers ever mentioned that my breakers were uninsurable. I wasted all of those agent fees plus several thousand dollars for my policies to get canceled. And, the best part is that I never heard from TGS about it, I had to reach out to them because I received a letter from the insurance carrier. Do not be lured in, it will cost more money and headache to use.

I've been with TGS for a year now. When I signed on with them last year, they blew me away with great prices and matched coverage, as a "new customer." Those become key words on year two. ALL of my policies went up significantly, and I had to adjust my deductible on my homeowners policy to stay anywhere close to reasonable. As a member, you pay like $94 a year for them to re-shop your policies. Not a bad investment and time-saver for me, but when you get the notice that you're going to be shelling out an extra 20-25% for no justifiable reason, then I don't feel like I got anything for my money. Sage Sure is who holds my homeowners policy, and they FORCED me to insure an appraised $240K home for $319K (thus driving up my costs) and stated it was market fluctuation. $80K is a lot of fluctuation! The agents I've dealt with at TGS have all been very friendly and professional, and they all say their hands are tied when adjusting these policies. So, they're all in a very restricted role, or they're at least trained to tell the same lie.

They certainly ARE NOT our insurance agent. The gentleman Roberto ignored my concerns about the policy he suggested. I asked him to pull it 2 min after he "binded", yet he did not. Then had the nerve to call me the next day with a better policy, or so he thought, telling me how awful the one he chose from yesterday was and that one was undervaluing my home. I said, "if you knew that, why would you even suggest that policy". Thats when I learned that he never pulled it. My insurance had changes without my approval to the terrible policy. He never pulled it! They will sell you anything to get your money. They are horrible as the reviews states. If one dime comes out of my credit card, I will report the fraud as it was. FRAUD. If you find yourself EVER dealing with this company, keep all calls recorded, all emails and texts. That way they can't lie their way out of it. I have no problem raising all hell about my money. Let me find out they have taken a dime for that stunt they pulled. IT was fraud, plain and simple.

I was pleased the first year that I switched to TGS and saved a little bit on my homeowner's policy. However, the premiums went up exponentially over the next two years and I was promised they were shopping around for the "best possible rate." My agent/broker/whatever, Pierre, would just not respond to my emails or questions, could never provide me with accurate information when I requested it, and it was difficult to comprehend his emails if he did happen to respond. I shopped around and found myself a much cheaper policy elsewhere, notified him in advance of my renewal date that I had obtained a policy elsewhere, but they still allowed my more expensive policy through them to renew. I have spent over two months trying to communicate with them to get my money refunded and its taken several angry emails to even get the ball rolling- hopefully I get my money back someday. Overall, besides their pricing not being any better than the market, their customer service and overall communication are absolutely terrible.

The agent that was quoting my new policy emailed me a quote and failed to mention anything about the $200 non refundable agency fee. I canceled the policy a week before it was to take effect and had to call back a day before to find out that they forgot to cancel it and that the $200 fee was non-refundable. Like someone else mentioned, it is better to shop on your own as that fee is the highest that I have ever had to pay for an insurance broker. At the end of the day, i still ended up saving money on the same policy elsewhere with their ridiculous agency fee included. Update: While speaking with my agent to verify my mailing address after I canceled my policy, he put me on hold while he "verified the address with the insurance company" he confirmed that they had the correct mailing address on file. Turns out they didn't, and I had to call the insurance company directly to have another $3700 check drafted. Delaying my refund even longer. What a horrible experience

Reply to your response My experience has been consistent over a year. I got calls from your agent before I purchased. Once I purchased, there was no communcations. When I had questions, I couldn't get a hold of agents but on hold and being transferred. It's been the same experience all the time. Based on the reply, I don't think you are truly aware of the issues with your agency. Based on the other reviews here, I believe I am not the only one with that issue. original: -- I truely regret having this company as my insurance agent. It's impossible to talk to an agent to talk about your police once you purchase one with them. They just transfer you over and over and put you on hold and hang up or transfer again until it becomes voice mails. It's best not to do with any business with them. if you do, you will have no choice to talk to insurance company directly. I am on hold for 2 hour this morning with them just to ask about my existing policy. stay away.

After receiving a flyer in the mail about TGS Agency just about the time I received a notice of a major increase in my current homeowners policy, I decided to take a chance and reach out to them. I did not expect much based on previous attempts in past years with other agencies to help with the constantly increasing premiums with the agency I had been with since I purchased the home in 2010. I spoke with Jabren Moore, who after learning of my current premium amounts for bundled home and auto, thought these premiums were pretty normal. However, he did his magic and located policies that saved me almost $2000 per year with comparable coverage and well rated companies. Jay was extremely personable and went the extra mile to make me feel valued and save me the highest possible amount. His followup service has been excellent, along with other agency members who dealt with cancelling my current policies. I am very happy that I made that phone call.

Went with TGS last year and agin this year much to my chagrin. They shopped a lower home owners and vehicle policy , however there were two things I learned. 1.don’t expect them to cancel your old policy like they say they will. I found out my original home insurance policy wasn’t canceled and my escrow paid out two policies despite all the paperwork signed to do so. I’m now going through the nightmare of trying to get a refund which is not going well and TGS isn’t exactly following up well with me. Auto wasn’t canceled either. Based on my conversations with others that have used TGS , this seems to happen a lot. I’m currently having to look into legal action if not resolved soon. 2. Just because the policy is “lower” doesn’t mean it’s the same quality or coverage of your original policy. TGSs goal is to show you “savings” , not necessarily what’s best for your needs.(which is probably most brokers).

They SUCK! There is no customer service after they send you to underwriting, No follow up, no follow through, every time you call you get someone different and they will not involve a supervisor for elevated service. The CSR is trained to follow a standard script only. I wasn't allowed to speak to or leave a message for my agent upon request. My escrow account was debited for 2 different policies, and trying to get the refund from the carrier has been ongoing for 77 days and counting. The latest answer is Guard will mail you a check August 6th, yet another month away. I will NEVER DO any further BUSINESS with this agency EVER!I I advise any one who expects any level of follow up, basic customer service or initiative from their insurance agency to NOT, DO NOT USE TGS. Edit: I spoke to someone today AGAIN trying to get this resolved. It was not the 1st call to your office. It was the 4th!

I have received quote from TGS for my homeowners insurance and they look really professional so I decided first to conduct a quick due diligence online of TGS and went some reviews also searched for best homeowner insurance company for my location, then I decided to give a call to TGS, thinking that being a holiday will be difficult to some human to answer or an answer machine will make me do a 1000 clicks, I was very happy that my call got answered right away, Pedro introduce himself then I mentioned the motive of my call, in about 10 minutes He got me set up a very good deal with Homeowner insurance (which actually was very close to the one sent by mail) then he offered me Vehicles policy which we went through in 10 minutes also got a good deal. I hope there were more Pedro’s in the customer services industries. I’m pretty sure having employees as Pedro is the biggest success of TGS

I had both a good and poor experience with TGS. The good - Quick initial response and saved me money when I made the initial switch. Relatively fast process. The bad/poor - Once my policy was up for renewal I was curious why it went up $1000. I reached out and they said they don't shop rates for renewals unless provoked by the insurer. I guess I understand but seems like this defeats the purpose of signing the fee use TGS as a broker. They shopped the rates and came back with a couple hundred savings. The bad part for TGS is that I got a letter in the mail from a random insurance provider (top name company) that saved me that same $1000. Moral of the story is shop yourself, save the $175 fee or whatever they charge to start and when your renewal is approaching be an adult and do it yourself rather than depend on TGS to have your back and reshop to save.

TGS is definitely the place to go to lower your insurance premiums. They did that for me. Now for the criticism. Their process for accomplishing that really poor! With agencies I have used in the past, you would contact them, give them all of your current details, then they would call you back with the quote details. Not TGS. The agent I spoke to wanted to shop all of the coverages while I was on the phone. It literally took 5 calls. one week and 3 hours on the phone with her. Being in sales myself, I cannot afford to be on a non-productive call for that long. I am now 2 weeks out and I am still correcting her errors with the Insurance Carrier directly. I sent her numerous emails requesting to speak with her manager, however those requests were ignored. Just my advice - prepare for a beat down time wise when you call them, it ain't going to be easy!

While Frank was friendly and attentive, my experience with TGS was deplorable. I spent over three hours on the phone in an attempt to set up auto insurance, and then was told that there was a problem with my payment card. So, I called my bank to find out that there was no problem with my card, but the problem was on TGS end. I tried to call TGS back, was told that I would get a call back, so I waited another hour or so. Then I ended up calling another insurance provider and was offered a much better rate and had the entire policy set up and paid in 20-30 minutes total. Again, Frank was good, but whatever systems TGS has in place are horrible. Now, I have noticed that they charged my card after this whole debacle, and now I am forced to work through another complicated process to cancel the policy and get a refund. I do not recommend TGS at all.

Today I had a great conversation with Melissa Fischer of TGS insurance regarding my home owners and TWIA wind and hail insurance for my home in Galveston county. I deliberately used the word "conversation" to highlight the exchange of information and knowledge she shared with me to allow me to ask multiple questions and provide excellent responses and explanations which can be numerous from an engineer customer! Melissa was well versed and provided a pleasant and informative support for the quotations she offered. She patiently listened and delivered knowledgeable responses that exceeded my expectations compared to other insurance companies that I requested quotes from. I highly recommend her for a professional discussion and accurate competitive quotation! I am now a new customer with TGS!

Service has gone way way way downhill. I used to actually look forward to my renewals, as TGS made it so easy and provided great results. I've been calling over 3 weeks this year, and I keep getting bounced around to multiple people before someone hems and haws pretending like they are looking at a computer and then saying they need to call me back. I finally got someone who reviewed my account and (quickly and rudely) asked me some of the preliminary questions, then they said they would call me back in a week if they found something cheaper than what I am paying. I am shocked at this company's operations has turned into a trainwreck. Hope you come back with good results, but I'm shopping elsewhere at this point.

On May 19, 2023, at approximately 3:24 p.m., I spoke with Jayda (TGS Insurance) regarding my mortgage company paying my homeowner's insurance even though I had already paid the insurance company. She briefly yet thoroughly explained what happened. Though it was the fault of my mortgage company, not the insurance company, Jayda kindly checked on the matter and verified that the overpayment was already being processed by the insurance company (National General). Jayda also informed me that I would receive a check in the mail, and that I could then deposit the funds back into my escrow account. Thank you, Jayda, for your patience with me and for going above and beyond to resolve my problem!

I am very pleased with TGS Insurance Agency! Thanks Christy for making the process easy! I will never order insurance directly from a provider again. I highly recommend TGS Insurance Agency to find the best offer available from the top-rated providers. I saved a lot on both my home and auto insurance policies for 2022. Christy worked with me and provide me an apples-to-apples comparison of coverages from multiple providers so I could compare with what is now my former insurance provider. Frank Stone is hands down the best agent out there- he took the time to get me the best possible rate and made sure I didn’t pay for anything I didn’t need. He found at least 10 things I was being over charged for by Allstate and even lowered my deductibles on multiple areas. As if that wasn’t enough he took the time to explain all coverage areas and even did a side by side comparison with my old policy. My rate was cut in HALF after all his work and I won’t be calling anyone else for my insurance needs. He is detailed, courteous, and truly cares about his customers. Call TGS and ask for Frank!!!!! Truly a top notch human in a world where you’re lucky to find someone average.

I was very skeptical at first, but soon was put at ease. Jaybren was the agent I dealt with, and he was just great. He listened to my concerns, and was very responsive. He had several quotes ready within an hour of speaking to him. He gave me the options, coverage and costs, and let me review the quotes by sending them to me. This company has many insurance companies they deal with, and all my quotes were from A+ rated companies. I researched the companies from the quotes, and all had very good reviews. In the end, I saved over $1500 on my homeowners policy. Thank you Jaybren for going to bat for me!

So far its been a great experience. Jessica has been a great help in lowering my home and auto insurance premiums. I am a person that does not like change and having to reshop your policies every year or other year is a hassle. My experience in switching over to her Agency has been positive. We not only switched providers/policies but she also took care of handling the cancelation of my current home and auto policies with my former agency/agents. That is great customer service. We received an unsolicited insurance quote via mail and decided to contact them for a more formal quote based on our current coverage so we could run a comparison. Unfortunately, after 3 emails to the contact's name on the mailer, each was replied with "it has been assigned to an agent' and I should have a quote shortly. Well, it has been a week and nothing. I gave them a chance to get our business, but now think it may likely be a blessing in disguise as I certainly would not want an agency that might respond like this in the event of an emergency. NO THANKS.

They whoooo you with better pricing then 2 months later you get a cancellation letter for Quote( Electrical ) that's it no explanation. After trying for days to get with my sales rep the final conclusion was that the breaker box in the home they did not except. I checked with a electrician and he said he had never heard of such thing, my home was completely remodeled in 2018 to include all Electric wiring. Needless to say I called a local State Farm and to my suprise got a better deal with more coverage and they where just fine with my breaker box,

I googled and got few home insurance quotes in Texas. TGS quoted the best coverage from SWYFFT and premium over email. Called them and fixed the deal, just on the first call. In the second call, mortgage lendor is informed for escrow and policy signed. During both calls had very friendly and trust worthy conversation. Two days latter, home inspection person visited home with drone and did his job in around ten minutes. I felt everything breezed through. This is the second time i am with TGS and SWYFFT. Stringly recommend to Texas Home owners.

Grossly misleading advertising. Received mail from them listing my address and details of my house and a $1,279/year homeowners insurance premium. Spend 15 minutes on the phone and when the quotes were finally "firmed up", the best quote they could give me was $2,393, nearly double what they advertised! We didn't change any details about the house, my credit rating is great; there is no reason that their final quote should be so much higher than the number on their advertising. Grossly misleading at best, borderline fraudulent in my mind.

We were with them for several years and in the beginning it was truly an amazing company. They did their best to find us some outstanding quotes for auto and home insurance. In the past three years the company has gone down hill dramatically and we no longer trust their judgment . They seem to no longer try to find you a bundle insurance offer so you can be charged a commission fee for each policy. We will not do business with them because we feel they no longer put the customer's interest first.

Melissa is truly amazing at what she does my original homeowners was going up to 4200 dollars and the company I was with had unassigned my account from a sales rep when she left so no one shopped for me. Melissa was able to get me a quote for less than half of the original which is amazing since I’m required to have wind hail and hurricane being located in a coastal county. She even handled cancelling the old policy on my behalf.

I got a call from Raul Velez at TGS, and he proceeded to get me a new policy that exceeded my expectations given the tough market in Houston right now. Super professional, friendly, and responsive. Mass-soliciting people who never "opted in" for solicitation or emails. Emailed my work although my work email address is not public. I've never done work with, never met and do not know "Dusty" or TGS Insurance. Nor have I ever provided them any of my information, such as email address or home address. Not sure how they obtained my work email address or how I suddenly became "subscribed" to their solicitations.

This company is horrible from a customer service stand point. I wanted to increase my coverage for a policy renewing in 60 days and I could not get a return phone call for 3 weeks. I then notify them I am not renewing my policy and they never notified the carrier and when I contacted them to cancel that renewed policy they won’t call back. I am filing a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance

I have been working with Gavin Torres for all of my 4 investment properties in TX. He is very professional and efficient to work with. The best part is that he always gave me the best coverage with the lowest premium as well. I gathered quotes from several independent brokers, but his quote was always the best. The Agency is only as good as its employees. A rating of 2.5 would be more accurate. As expected, the sales portion of the policy went swimmingly well. Promises made, but follow-up was non-existent, as customer services disappeared after the premium was paid. They didn't know me after they cashed the check. Quotes were for incorrect policy parameters. Wrong mileage (way low), assumed I would do a monitored (snapshot) auto policy which I NEVER do and it was not even discussed. Very misleading quote process. A real shape because the lady doing the quote was very pleasant. Close to a bait and switch situation. I have never had to redo / update policies so many times in my decades of buying insurance.

Today I got connected with Frank (I hope there's only 1 Frank) and he was absolutely the friendliest agent I've ever dealt with. I apparently lost $197 for an agency fee before I completed the purchase of a homeowner policy. I agreed to the charge by my own mistake but I think it’s unfair and an overly aggressive business practice to charge a potential customer before they have even had a chance to think and examine the policy then to keep the money if the customer ultimately declines to purchase it.

I was given attentive service by Jessica when Inwas buying insurance for a home. After my xx purchase, TGS keeps sending me a signature document- Jessica told me to ignore it- the same emails keep coming and Jessica has ghosted me. I was looking to add auto with TGS but will not pursue. They are present for purchase but disappear when help or service is needed

This is the best insurance agency that I ever had. TGS has helped save me money on auto. My agent is Luke Miller. He is very patient, explained well and communicated quickly. I had such a great experience when I first came on board. But now as a regular client, it has been disappointing and bad service. For an extended amount of time I can’t get an agent to shop for a new policy that is about to expire. They are great at the sales, but the regular ongoing service, good luck! I am going to have to search again for new agency. :(

The worst customer service I have ever received. The initial quoting of the insurance they were super fast. But after signed up for their insurance. The customer service has been terrible. Pretty much non-existent. I regret going with this insurance company and I just hope nothing happens until I can switch companies.

Absolutely of no service. I have been waiting for a call back for over two weeks from a supervisor for an issue. I gave them two weeks to resolve issue and now have called back and I completely get the run around and am told they are in meetings and will call me back by end of day and my calls are never returned.

Deceptive advertising. They've sent me multiple advertisements with an accurate description of my home and a policy premium of less than $3,000. After speaking with them, I was told the homeowners premium would be at least $8k. They stop responding and never provided a full quote.

Run from anything to do with this insurance agent. They quoted a rate which I paid but then I got a cancellation notice from the actual insurance company for "non-payment." I discovered that this "agent" deducted a large "service fee" which left my policy deficient.

They don’t have requote department. My insurance went from 1594 to 2324. When I asked to requote by calling and email too many times, I was told I will get a call… it’s been three weeks… no one reached out. I was told they will serve for lifelong. But it’s a lie
