After reading reviews, I was excited to go there. But I don’t think I will come back. I went there to get a lash lift. The girl was nice but not very professional imo, first she didn’t let the sanitizer dry on her hands, but proceeded to touch my lashes which caused irritation to my eyes :( I’ve been happy with the length my lashes since they got longer from my previous lash lift, I’ve been growing them for a while which I mentioned so when I confirmed with her if my lashes are going to be good enough (a little confidence boost would have been great), she replied saying that she’s seen longer so its up to me whether I want to do the lift or not? And just stood there staring at me, waving her hand. whether to proceed or not…Miscommunication? Maybe, Sorry if I’m being sensitive but I did get embarrassed, hurt and felt awkward. During the process of her putting the product on my lashes, I’m not entirely sure if it was done properly? I could be wrong though but My eyelashes just felt really wet? I have done an eyelash lift once before and I remembered that it didn’t feel that wet, so I thought everyone does it differently and didn’t think much about it but unfortunately the lash lift product got into my eyes. The girl said it was probably cause I opened my eyes when she stepped out for a bit, but I honestly didn’t even open my eyes. When I mentioned it was slightly stinging she tried to wipe a bit off on the side of my eye with a wet pad but unfortunately it got worse, more got into my eyes which hurt lot. Thankfully she immediately poured water on my eyes and wiped off the product. So I felt relieved, even though I got a little too wet since water got into my ears but hey I’m glad my eyes were fine :) On my way out, the front desk girl apologized and offered me a 20% off discount on my next appointment. I rated 2 stars even if they were nice, my experience for my first time wasn’t so great. I felt like they didn’t prioritize me as a client, and it felt rushed? It just felt like they were ready to go home.

*update* I am very pleased to update that I was contacted by the spa first thing the day after my initial review, and they kindly worked with me to rectify the situation. I am happy to give The Ten Spot Barrhaven another go and am confident I will have a much better experience when I return. Thank you Annie! I just went in for a Brazilian. I've been to The Ten Spot in Westboro many times and the one in Toronto. I have always had great experiences and really thorough and well done waxing. That was not my experience this time. The aesthetician I had (never told me her name so I can't share it) used soft wax for the entire Brazilian, which I've never had happen at The Ten Spot, nor am I a fan of. I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and she missed so much hair. I am not a hairy person, she even commented on that, yet missed entire sections, not just a hair here or there. She left wax all over my skin, which I found when I went to get dressed. Also, I've always had the aesthetician turn around and ask me to do a check before they leave the room to ensure they haven't missed any. This person did not do that. I would have had to get fully dressed, go out front where other patrons were sitting, and ask her to come back and take care of all the areas she missed. I'm certainly not comfortable doing that in front of a bunch of other people. So I just paid for a Brazilian that left me with wax all over my skin and lots of hair. Awfully disappointing.

I feel bad making this cause the experience wasn’t horrible but I’m not happy with how my nails came out. Me and my mom booked for extensions, and the nail tech who did my moms basically talked her out of getting any sort of colour and gave her a beige and my mom felt super awkward the whole time. And the girl who did my nails was very nice but my nail beds are in incredible pain from being aggressively pulled and my fingers are red from being burned in the uv lamp. I tried to say my fingers were burning when it happened but the nail tech didn’t really do anything and told me to put my hand back in. I’ve gotten my nails done quite a bit and have never experience that before. I also walked out with very thick round nails which I tried to have her file down a little more but she didn’t really change much. It’s just disappointing cause we spent $230 there for these nails which is almost double the usual price we spend and we’re both just really unhappy about it. The experience wasn’t horrible like we enjoyed talking to the techs but we walked out with the exact opposite of what we wanted.

The prices are on the pricey side. I see Helly for eyebrows. Honestly, she is amazing. I only go there for her. Last week I took my 8 year old daughter with me to get my eyebrows done, the receptionist told me that I couldn’t have my daughter wait on for 15 mins. She refused and said it’s written on the website. I checked the website and I can’t find anywhere on the website that says you can bring your child to wait for you. I understand babies but my daughter is 8! The receptionist told me I would need to reschedule. Helly came to get me for my appointment and I told her what was going on. She spoke with the manager who agreed to let my daughter wait for me. She couldn’t be in the room with me so she had to wait by the mail salon area. I find this to be really bad customer service. Helly gets 5 stars! This so called policy gets 0 stars. This is why my rating is 3.

First time at Ten Spot Barrhaven location, and definitely won't be my last! I saw Heli for a brazillian, and she is the best I've seen. It was not only quality work, but it was also the least painful! She is also very sweet, professional, and makes you feel comfortable. I highly recommend her! The rest of the ladies there were also super friendly! The place is clean, has a cool vibe, and the prices are super reasonable. They also have a membership, which seems like good value. I had to rush out today, but I will be inquiring about that at my next appointment I am SO happy that I decided to try 10 Spot Barrhaven. They offer a variety esthetic services, and I will be going there for other things as well. Thank you Heli and the 10 Spot team!

I'm new to the area and had a pedicure here yesterday. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. My toes / nails look good BUT that is the most expensive pedicure I've ever had! $83 for shellac pedi with removal of the old gel (that must be an Ontario thing as I've never had to pay extra for removal before?) PLUS $10.79 tax and I gave the girl a $10 tip. The total for the hour was $103.79! I know you get what you pay for and generally speaking, I was happy with the result. I was however, very disappointed with the massage part of the pedi. Less than 5 minutes per foot just doesn't cut it for that price. It's the best part of a pedi for most people and the part that makes you feel pampered. I didn't feel that at all unfortunately.

Honestly my experience was very disappointing. I have been to tenspot for a Brazilian several times but the latest experience was just horrible. Heli usually does my wax and I have never had a problem, she’s amazing. But last time, she was unavailable last minute so the salon booked me with someone else named Ashley. Let me tell you, she didn’t even do a proper Brazilian, she was in such a rush and was very very rough. Afterwards, the wax was still stuck on me and I was in pain for several days following the wax and this isn’t normal. She didn’t even bother cleaning up properly afterwards. I am honestly never going back and I would recommend others to reconsider as well.

I came into The Ten Spot for a pedicure with Barbie. WOW!! The level of professionalism alone is next level. This place is so clean, the utensils are clearly disinfected and I feel incredibly safe coming here. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming when you walk in. The products used for the pedicure were wonderful! My skin and nails felt amazing when I left and even days after. Also, Barbie is by far the most superior esthetician I’ve ever had in my entire life. I feel VERY comfortable letting her do her thing, I didn’t even have to tell her how I like my nails. I can’t wait to go back to see her!

Everyone at the Barrhaven location is absolutely amazing. I’ve only been there twice, but both experiences were beyond what I expected, & I doubt I’ll go anywhere else in the future. Annette is THE BEST. I am the worst client… I’m really hard on my nails, so I basically destroyed them in between visits. Annette took the time to figure out the best option to help my nails last as long as possible & look amazing. All of the staff I’ve dealt with, both on the phone & in person, have been super sweet and very helpful. I appreciate everything and I HIGHLY recommend. Thank youuuuuuu!

I've been seeing reviews of this place so I thought I would go and check it out. Booked a brazilian wax with Heli, and I loved it! She was so sweet, experienced, talkative, always checking in to see if you're doing okay, makes you feel comfortable, overall probably one of the best brazilian experiences I've had! Already booked my next appointement! Lady at the front desk was also so sweet, offered me a water or a coffee while I wait since I showed up early to my appointement. Very friendly staff! Glad to have found my new spot. The place is so clean, professional, and friendly!

Had my nails done here today , the staff was very nice. Unfortunately the quality was terrible, wasn't able to get a white tip Mani because i apparently have to book extra time , then after choosing a random colour it seemed to be done very quickly and as if it was 1 thin coat. 2 hours after getting them done the nail polish peeled off in the shower. The pedi was not what I was used to and costed $65 for regular polish. Honestly I wouldn't recommend at all. I have no time to go in and get it redone and I'm sure I can't get my money back. Very big waste.

bad customer service experience - tried calling in to tell them i would be a few minutes late and nobody picked up. then they called me when i was 5 minutes late, and the receptionist told me i only had 3-4 minutes to get there or they wouldn’t be able to take me. i arrived 5 minutes later due to traffic and rain, and they couldn’t accept me and tried to make me pay for my appointment. i usually go to the ten spot in kanata but since it was flooded i needed to go to the barrhaven location. next time i hope for better customer service.

I recently went to The Ten Spot for a Brazilian wax, and I have to say, it was amazing! The esthetician was professional, gentle, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The salon itself had a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The waxing service was quick and efficient, and the results were fantastic. I don’t usually leave reviews, but when something is good I don’t hesitate to share my experience. Heli was amazing!!! The best Brazilian I’ve had in Ottawa. She is patient, caring and I felt super comfortable during my appointment. Whether you have low pain tolerance, or getting your first Brazilian done, Heli is your girl! I also had my brows threaded, and legs waxed and I am seriously super happy with the service ! The place is very clean and welcoming. The Ten Spot is my new favourite spot.

Usually I go to the ten spot Glebe location but I thought I’d try out Barrhaven this time. The location is brand new and beautiful. I brought a friend for a mani and we were both extremely happy with our services. Barbie was experienced and was fantastic to talk to and gave me the most beautiful mani with perfect nail shape/cuticle work! Both my friend and I will be back for other services in the near future.

Tina always provides 5 star service. She is a pleasure to talk to while receiving my service. The only feedback that is not 5 star is the seating for manis and pedis. Both are very uncomfortable and hard on the back. I know this is a franchise standard and exists in every TenSpot but it is the only thing that I would change. More comfortable seating would increase comfort and relaxation during service.

She is very thorough and very meticulous to ensure you have the perfect mani/pedi or waxing experience. She definitely takes care of you during your appointment. 10/10 recommend. I was looking to get my brows treaded and saw this new spot in the neighborhood. This salon is new in Barrhaven, clean, bright experienced and friendly staff. My brows looked great. No waiting and it was fast. Will go for a pedi mani next. They also carry dermalogica products which is an excellent brand I have used in the past, now convenient vs going downtown to purchase. I recommend 10 Spot.

I originally went in to get my eyebrows waxed and had always wanted to try threading, Heli recommended it and I was pretty excited to try it. She did an awesome job and I’ve never loved my eyebrows so much. She talked me through the whole process and made sure I was comfortable. I left very satisfied with my service and the job she had done. I’m looking forward to booking with Heli again!!!

Wonderful experience with Heli today! Got a Brazilian wax and she was very gentle and accommodating - especially with me being nervous. She explained every step and reassured me. Had my first brow shaping with Annette 2 weeks ago and since then cannot recommend The Ten Spot and Annette enough. I agree it's a higher price but the experience makes it worth it. I used to always go to the Glebe location, but it just seemed smarter to start going here since it’s closer and it has NEVER done me wrong! Heli is sooooo amazing with Brazilian waxes, she is so professional, sweet and always does an amazing job!!! And I recently got eyebrow threading for the first time with Heli and my eyebrows are perfection!!! no complaints here!

Worked with Annette to have a brow lam for the first time and I am so happy with the results. She suggested the perfect colour match for my pale skin and brown hair and got the brow shape just how I wanted off my description only. So happy with the results as I don't have to do my brows every morning now. Also got a manicure by her and her hand massage was heavenly!

Great spot! I have been to a lot of wax spas in Ottawa and this is by far the best! Be sure to book with Heli, she is amazing. She works quickly and as painless as can be. I have been coming to this TEN SPOT location since it opened. Extremely clean, COVID-aware, friendly staff, NOT DAMAGING TO NAILS + lots of nail colours to choose from. When i first called to book an app, the lady said they have a strict cancellation policy meaning they will charge your credit card if you dont call 24 HRS in advance to cancel your app. and here they are cancelling my appointment LAST MINUTE!!!! what kind of business do you run!!!! horrible

I have been to this location many times and always enjoy it! The space is bright and cheery. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and always offer me coffee :) The most important thing for me is cleanliness and their towels and instruments are always pristine. It's my go-to spot. (I've booked manis/pedis/waxing/lash lift and tint).

Went last week for a pedicure and went back this week for laser hair removal on my legs. It was my first time doing laser hair and no pain at all. I did both services with Annette and loved her knowledge of the services and their products, very professional. Next I plan on going for a facial. Will certainly return.

Had an nice experience here with my eyebrow threading. However prices are very HIGH compared to other places, I found this was very excessive and cost should be disclosed. There’s nothing special to make the prices higher than other places.
