I was a first time customer at this particular tank and pay today on Black Friday, and my experience with them was absolutely horrible. Is I could give them a zero star rating. I am not from Durban, I work away from home so I decided to accompany my parents while I did my own shopping aside from them. My parents decided to shop there today because of one particular item. The item was on sale and clearly indicated *3 PER CUSTOMER* So my parents took 3 and I took 3 as we are all not from the same home. To my surprise, a lady who seemed like a “person in charge” gave me the worst experience of my life. From a distance she shouted at me and the cashier trying to help me, to not cash the items as my parents already purchased them. I did inform her that we were different customers and we do not live in the same house so I wanted to buy them for myself. She turned around and told me that “it’s 3 per family”. Suddenly the words of the notice changed and I was not allowed to purchase the items. As a paying customer, this was highly unnecessary and very unprofessional on take and pay’s behalf. She said that the camera is watching and I’m not allowed to take my grocery items. Because of this experience with a very unpleasant, unprofessional and absolutely arrogant female representative of the store, I will NEVER go back and waste my time and money on a store that doesn’t know how to value their customers. If it was 3 per family then they should have put it in writing. Rules should not be changed just because of absurd assumptions. The lady did not even maintain a 1.5meter distance from me. So in my opinion, this is unacceptable and I will never shop there again. Neither will I allow my family to go there and be humiliated infront of the public ever again. The items we were purchasing were 3 bars of soap. It’s not about the soap, it’s about policy.

Food prices, specials and selection really help us financially. Queues move fast, which is absolutely wonderful. There is a cash back at tills. Nice variety of meat, including marinated, and they now have a seafood section, for those who enjoy that. There is also a small food take away section. Lack of parking is a very very huge problem. Some trolleys are absolutely atrocious and the wheels need desperate servicing, I addressed this with management. Unfortunately, there is no listing on google maps to let us know they close on a Friday afternoon at around lunch time. Difficult to get to toilets, especially for elderly, plus no toilet paper. Always someone to help push the trolley to the car, and help unpack, which really helps a lot. Very true, veggies could be better and fresher, including potatoes, however this situation does vary.

If you are looking to bake fresh cakes at home, then shop here. Freshest, quality groceries at the best prices. The butchery will cut your meat the way you want it cut and we always find such a variety of chips to snack on. So many biscuit choices so don't expect to leave there without buying anything. The tomatoes are wonderfully firm and fresh and you get to pick your own. The cashiers weigh your veggies at the paypoint. This store is very Covid conscious so be prepared to wait while an assistant wipes down the trolley handle. A great store that makes a point of opening more paypoints when the store gets very busy. Not much waiting here. My favourite place for tomato puree, baking items and snacks and chicken fillets. The best prices here.

There prices should be the best and cheaper than most big branded store ,now spar is cheaper in every item compared too, like today I purchased cremora at TNP at R39.99 for 750 and spar has it R29.99 , ridiculous I tell you, the management use to compare prices from other stores and the put up there's but now days ,they just out to make a greedy buck, sad I will take my business else where and you may say its only one customer but let me tell you, it only takes 1 one honest review and word of mouth travels and let it be said ,you'll are using

I absolutely loved this place....I'm normally a shopper that sticks to the Pick and Pay and Checkers store but by chance I needed something urgently and stopped here....I was amazed at the store. The butchery section is to die for... having a braai is now a breeze...also great if u a busy parent and looking for easy prep meals which I am...also their prices are competitive and their staff so helpful....I definitely will be a regular at this store

Really top notch experience, the customer services from this store is better than EVERYONE else in Toti, parking isn't grand but overall with their highly competive pricing we are more than happy to frequent the store on a weekly basis. Store is always clean, staff are always there to help, and the owner? is super friendly and will go that extra mile to make you happy. Highly recommended.

Parking availability is atrocious, I rarely go there anymore because of this. Lots of tills, so queues go very fast, even though the lines look long. Prices are excellent. Not enough helpers behind the meat counter. "Fresh Flowers" are cheap but wither and die fast, not worth buying, embarrassing when buying as a gift.

There parking is a problem.the "car gurds" are very irrating had an experience where one of there "car gurds" today stole my valve caps and then was forceing me to pay for it to get it back.This is becoming a problem bcoz this is not the first time this "car gurd" had tried to take money from me.

It is the closest Superstore and can actually walk there. They are a busy store with customers and staff. There are many shelves and caters for just about everything in the food line. Some of their prices, and specials, are reasonable compared to other stores. Well organized store.

Good pricing. Parking a nightmare. Grungy entrance filled with boxes and trucks offloading goods. Security a hindrance rather than a benefit. They insist that you put your plastic bags in their plastic bag when you enter -very weird, wasteful and clueless to security. Staff ok

Very affordable food.Most people shopped here during the looting period when there was a food shortage in Amanzimtoti. The area where the Take n Pay supermarket is not very secure however the customer must assess the risk of bargain shopping against safety.

The store is always lovely and neat. The staff are very polite and friendly. The service is always fast and efficient...They could however, do better in the fruit and veg sections. The fruit and vegetables are not always fresh. Pleasant store all in all!!!

It was extremely busy with parking being a huge issue in Amanzimtoti . They really ought to extend their parking facility as they advertise specials every week. The store itself was very busy & was difficult to move thru the aisles. Great specials though.

This is a good value shop with great prices on certain items. But the parking situation needs attention. It does not feel safe or hassle free to park and get into the store, which is a bit sad because it will keep many from visiting here regularly.

The store is very well maintained and updated regularly. The prices are the most competitive in the area. They stock a large selection of quality products. You must look out for the specials on offer. Parking can sometimes be a bit of a hassle.

Always very busy, didn't have what I went in for, and the price was not as it was in the paper. Parking was a nightmare. The local homeless were trying very hard to help with parking, but they had really strong unpleasant body odors.

Wad satisfactory bcz I couldn't find products dat which I reported 2 months ago n was there yesterday. The team leaders /supervisor are arrogant n should b replaced n are not prepared to help when prices are not displayed on d shelf.

I love this place it's clean and their service is good, I did my grocery there I did not see that there was something wrong with pack of eggs that I took only to find out that the cashier saw and the assistant change them for me.

The store itself is okay but outside it smells terrible and there is alot of trash and old rotten food before you get the entrance. The trolleys need an upgrade. Decent prices and the cashier who helped me was friendly.

Very good prices. Shop was crowded but tills very fast and efficient. The shop entrance however, is an absolute nightmare. Very dangerous trying to step over pallets and boxes and dodging the little hyster racing about.

Not all staff are friendly. The staff behind the butcher, are unhygienic, the one lady was popping another ladies pimple, disgusting. Meat they sell are full of bones and fat for 79.99 kg. I don't think so.....

The goods are reasonably priced. Dodgy area though and parking makes the experience quite frustrating. Please do something about the parking situation to attract the right number of customers into the store.

They have the most delicious cooking food,briyani ,samoosas and more at affordable prices for sure...the store is very cheap yet offers the same good food that we get on the rest of other supermarkets

The trucks that blocks customers to access the retailer easily it makes it bad experience to go there. They should accept deliveries two hours before or after closing and not mix with their customers.

Well its one of the supermarkets that sells quality and fresh products at cheapest prices, the only problem I encontered is the space. The shop is too small for their client base.
