"The quality and taste were average, however, the portion was incredibly small given the price… We ordered a main size mixed sashimi, and not going to lie - it was the thinnest / smallest piece I have ever seen in a restaurant (even smaller than a standard buffet sashimi serving)"
"We only ordered sushi and they were very good"
"We tried the sashimi and sushi platter, takoyaki, agedashi dofu, miso soup, chicken karaage, and genmaicha"
"What a treat!! We decided to try it out after seeing construction had finally been finished"
"The food is amazing, many dishes to choose from and everything is delicious"

To he frank - quite disappointed :”( More
We only ordered sushi and they were very good. Especially their Nori range (fried seaweed), very tasty and we'll presented. Their sushi rice taste pretty good too. The only pity is the size of sushi are bit smaller than normal. The Green tea creme brulee is really satisfying in the end.
We tried the sashimi and sushi platter, takoyaki, agedashi dofu, miso soup, chicken karaage, and genmaicha. All were excellent except the karaage which was ok but a bit fatty and too much batter for our taste. The restaurant was full and we
What a treat!! We decided to try it out after seeing construction had finally been finished. It did not disappoint. The menu has a wide variety of options but it's the sushi and sashimi that is the star. The chefs know what they are doing!!
The food is amazing, many dishes to choose from and everything is delicious. The sushi is incredible. I highly recommend any of the fish or chicken options.. the service is very good. The only downfall is if its busy (which it generally
1st time dinning here with the family and what a surprised. The food was delicious, staff service was fantastic and the price was affordable. Totally recommend this place and we will definitely be coming back again. Well done guys! More
Very poor service. Arrived 10 minutes late to our booking and were told table had been given to someone else and they had no other tables available. No courtesy call prior to see if we were close by. Very disappointing.
Great service and great food! We had the take away sushi platter and it was really fresh and the flavours were delicious. We appreciated how they were flexible to cater to our needs. Can’t wait to be able to dine in!
Step into Taki, the authentic Japanese restaurant that feels like a typical spot you'd find in Tokyo. Don't expect anything too high-end, but rather a casual and welcoming atmosphere where the focus is on the food.
A new restaurant that opened up during covid that is being true to their cuisine. Clean, fresh and a two stand out from the many other Japanese restaurants in the area. Make a booking and celebrate an event! More
Amazing food and service! We had the miso soup, salmon taco, a sushi platter, spicy calamari and a green tea crem brulee + sake for $120. Everything is fresh and good quality and the service was excellent. More
Last week was my third visit to the restaurant. Great atmosphere. Full house as expected and a bit tight for seating (as expected). Not sure the air conditioning was working well and it got warm but otherwise
The restaurant is new and good to see they have ppl coming in. The food was excellent and delicious. The service was great. You can feel how much care they put in. Highly recommend it! …
As I'm a traveler, this was my last night in the neighborhood (before moving to another one) Seeing there were several Japanese restaurants, and knowing it is my favorite
Lovely little hidden gem Sashimi tasted fresh and dishes were all very tasty. Everything was beautifully presented with flavours well balanced.
We had a family dinner here, spent a lot of money and left hungry. Saw 4.5 star reviews so thought this was a safe bet for a good night out.
Restaurant with potential, which decides to greed for profit. Tightly packed so you can smell the person next to you, this restaurant does
We noticed Taku as they began work on the restaurant back in August and have been eagerly waiting for them to open ever since.
Very nice Japanese food, albeit very squishy with tables only centimeters apart, so not the place for a romantic dinner. More
Our group tried multiple dishes and sake, everything was delicious and service was excellent! Will definitely come back :)
We tried Taku last weekend and ordered: Fruity sake tasting (peach, lychee, yuzu and nashi pear) Kingfish carpaccio
A bright new star on the Bourke Road Strip. We felt like a good sashimi/ sushi feed so ordered large and it didn’t
Truly a hidden gem on Burke Road! ✨ My partner and I shared the sushi platter for 2, gyu tataki, and karaage
Wish I could give this place more stars, but really can't think of anywhere I could credit them for.
Very good japanese fine dining but not really expensive! High quality fish and tastefull dishes!
Wonderful service and beautiful presentation. The vibes were really good and the food amazing!
Inconsistent… Some excellent dishes. The Tacos with different flavours (Tuna, Prawn etc) are
