I would not recommend this business. I don't write this review lightly. We are new customers to this business and was referred by a friend, who has no complaints. I am going to be upfront and honest about our experience. We have been very professional and patient in trying to work with this company. First, the cost to file is extremely high and was not previously discussed before the taxes were filed. We do feel that we were over charged. Second, our taxes were filed without our knowledge. Yes, we went to this company to process the taxes but was not given the opportunity to review, know the cost or sign them before they were processed. I tried multiple avenue of communitcation during and after the filing of the taxes and the response time took weeks. I was advised that due to COVID-19 and being a small company there were extremely busy. I was also advised that due to COVID-19 they had the right to file our taxes without our consent. We were not notified that the taxes had been filed until approximately a week after they were filed and that is only because I called to check the status of our return since there was no response to the several emails that were sent. After the taxes were filed we had to request an invoice. We also noticed that there was pertinent information missing from our taxes and was advised there would be additional fees to file an amendment. I know and have learned that in order for change we must point out when things are wrong. As a customer it is in my opinion and based on our experience it was not professionally handled. I am in no way wanting this or any business to fail, but I would like them to learn and do right by their customers. I do hope that the next person does not experience what we have.

I have been going to Mrs Cole for about 7 years. Omg Mrs Cole is the best and was helpful in everything. Unfortunately over the past 2 years everything is getting worse with the staff she has in the building. Every time I call the office I get a Different story, other accounts added to my file, unclear explanations and non warm customer services. I’m so sorry to do this but I will have to find a different CPA. Our whole family was referred to Mrs Cole and we have been satisfied, however with her not being in the office as much anymore and the other staff taken over it has been a night mare for some of us. I was trying to hang in there but this year I schedule to have my taxes done 3/9/23 and until date still not done asking for this and that, changing stuff, adding other information from when Mrs Cole prepared my taxes, can’t find this, etc… it’s just been a nightmare all around. So I will just find a different place to go. I have reached out to Mrs Cole and left messages for her to return my call - I’m not sure if she is even getting my messages. . I hate to leave Mrs Cole but Im over having to get frustrated every time I call the office with the different stories or something different that they want or something different they have changed from my visit with Mrs. Cole. The sad thing is I’m not sure Mrs Cole is fully aware of the problems that exist. As good as she is it’s sad to have this happen to her customers.

My wife has had the worst experience with Tamptax. This is the second year that she has used this service and has had to wait months in order to get her tax return. My wife filed her taxes with Tamptax late February or early March 2020. She provided them with all of the documentation that they would need so that her taxes could be filed. I understand that things may work differently for those who are self-employed, however, the fact that it is January 2021 and my wife has yet to receive her tax return from last year is concerning. When she calls, they tell her that “its processing and she will have it soon". At this point I am confused. When she spoke with them in the summer 2020 it was “processing". When she called in October and December 2020 it was “processing ". As of today they are telling her it's "processing". I honestly don't believe them and feel that they have not even filed my wife taxes for last year. Clearly, this a case of someone running a business who does not know what they are doing. I hope someone is able to help my wife so that she is able to get what she is owned from Kathy Cole and Tamptax.

I would not recommend.... she’s incredibly expensive. She would not answer my phone calls OR emails. She charged me 250$ just to file my W-2 form and left off my business and amounts I donated. There was NO communication after she filed. So everything I will ent to help for her with she DID NOT DO and did not communicate that she wouldn’t after I sent her multiple emails that she ignored. She did not respond until I left a message a month later stating I was ready to get my attorney involved! I do Not recommend . There are plenty of other companies that charge a fraction of what she charges who communication and higher quality service.

I have been a loyal customer for over 25 yrs. Since the owner Ms. Kathy let her children take over (her son) it has absolutely been the Worst experience, customer service, the lies etc...... next year I will move my business somewhere else. Obviously they don't appreciate me. It's not so much the IRS delay on my taxes it's the excuses, and the lies that they tell you to get you off the phone and when you follow up like they advise, they tell you the same lie and tell you to follow up in a couple of days. If you want professional service and honesty DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY SERVICES.

I've used Ms. Cole's tax services for several years now and have been very pleased with her knowledge and subsequent results. Like many people, I waited until the 11th hour, but her staff was very friendly and professional, and were able to get me in, and taxes filed on time! I especially like that I was able to get timely copies at a later date. Its important to me that others are respectful of my time, and I wasn't kept waiting for any my appointments. I have recommended them to family and friends.

TampTax Accountancy has been preparing my income tax returns for over a decade. Kathy and her staff are professional, courteous, and above all, very knowledgeable about the old and new tax laws. She has always gotten me the biggest refunds that the law allows. And, when I was audited because of an error that I made, Kathy quickly stepped in and made the adjustments needed (no extra charge from TampTax for representing me). I highly recommend TampTax. Kathy and her staff are amazing!

What a relief to have found Tamp Tax, running my own business is not easy. I have tried to do my taxes, but I made too many expensive mistakes, which lead me to spend countless hours waiting to speak to someone(IRS) to then be told to fill out this form, then this one and that one, and so on. I can't thank Mosi and his wife enough for taking care of this part of being a small business so I can focus on what I have to do to run my growing company

COVID has caused many delays with the IRS & throughout that I haven’t needed to worry about my tax returns. Any time I have received any communications from the IRS, I’ve been able to trust TampTax’s team to respond on my behalf or give me the next step I need to move forward. Truly grateful for their services and stress free process!

So glad I started doing my taxes with TampTax. I was filing on my own through free sites and was not getting the return I deserved! They made sure I got everything back. They were also helpful with information that I needed for my student loan. So glad. I feel like I have a true partner and I am getting the most from my return.
