I’ve had the pleasure of a few different projects through Tangletown and I have nothing but stellar things to say about every aspect of the builds. This is true for my wife as well, where she was treated with nothing but respect and the genuine desire to help her prepare for a duathlon. I took my old bike in to Tangletown and they did some basic tune-ups for a great price. When I needed a new bike, I found one here (from a well-known brand). It turned out to have a few loose parts. When I brought it in to have them fixed, the staff recognized me as soon as I walked in the door. They did the fixes for free, with no paperwork and with no questions asked. Ultimately, the bike needed a new part. They handled the warranty claim entirely on their own. When the warranty process looked like it would take too long, they took apart a new bike they had in stock to get the part for mine. This is a great small business.

This review is a long time coming. This summer I was working in MN and wanted to buy a road bike. A colleague recommended Tangletown Bike Shop. I called to explain what I was looking for and my mountain bike size dimensions. Right away, Nick let me know he had 2 bikes that should be perfect depending on my preference. I went to the shop and found this beautiful bike which kept me busy riding to and from work as well as riding all over the city and its trails all summer and fall. The crew at Tangletown is the absolute best. They are so helpful and friendly. It was a joy to go to the bike shop. Highly recommend to everyone!

Tangletown Bike Shop is my local bike shop so I'm happy and familiar with the store. Today was even better than a normal visit as I went in with a repair "emergency" and Mike and staff took care of my issue as well as everyone else in the store. The place looks great, is very well stocked and I look forward to my next visit. Great store right in the Minneapolis metro area. To extend, I had been away for a few months and just returned to a store that is even better than it was a year or so ago. Great store!

Nick & Mike of Tangletown Bike Shop are top shelf full service neighborhood assets. They offer full bike service, bike rentals and new bikes and parts. I've enjoyed their expertise and deep bike knowledge to create a dream project as well as upgrade a used bike for my son. I'm thankful to have such an honest and dependable bike shop in the area to ensure we keep rolling and have a destination to ride to for picking up the next hot bike accessory!

Friendly, attentive, quick service, and not just from the cutest shop dog in town! They have a great selection and the prices were really fair. I really loved my old bike (which was stolen last year), but I already like this bike way better. Mike made sure it fit me properly and that I picked the features I needed most. I would highly suggest stopping in for a service, accessories, or a new bike. They really are the best bike shop in town!

In the past 2 months, I've been to Tangletown twice for tire issues (front & rear). What is different about Tangletown than any of the other bike shops I've been to in the Twin Cities is that whatever technician is doing the work teaches and tells you what they're doing in the moment. The work area is open to the retail area and the repair process is transparent. Tangletown is my new go-to bike shop- highly recommend.

Fantastic spot to rent a bike in Minneapolis. I made an online reservation the night before and the bike was waiting for me when I arrived. Mike made a couple of seat adjustments, gave me a helmet and a lock and I was on my merry way. The hybrid bike performed great on Minneapolis's fabulous lakeside/riverside trails and on the bike lanes downtown.

Outstanding local bike shop with very reasonable repair prices and a nice selection of affordably priced gear and accessories. Patrick & Nick in the shop do great work, fast, and are often answering random bike maintenance questions from me which is super helpful. Make this your local bike shop!

Had the best experience ever renting from here. I reserved online and walked in the store and was out in less than 5 minutes. The bike was amazing, comfortable and well maintained. I would highly recommend renting from here and plan to again for my next visit.

Nothing but a positive experience. Their staff were helpful on the phone and in person. We got 2 bike to rent for a couple of hours and it was worth every dime! The bikes were great and easy to use. We will have to come back soon to use the great bikes again!

What a great experience with these pros. Brought my ebike in basically off the street and Patrick put it on the stand and fixed my shifting problem in minutes on a busy Saturday. So satisfying to find pleasant people who are so good at their jobs. Thanks.

Although we hadn't booked the bikes ahead they provided 2 Cannondale Quicks in less than 15 minutes including pumping them and checking if everything works. Both bikes were good quality and in great condition. We had a really nice ride.

I rented a bike here while visiting and had a great experience. They have actual road bikes so it’s a good alternative to the bike shares if you’re used to riding something nicer/more lightweight at home and want to do longer rides.

Great bike shop and service. Right near Grand Round trail. We rented bikes and the employees were wonderful! Great dog on-site, Bella. Better bikes than those around Chain of Lakes.
